Skills are skills that need to be controlled so that any work or tasks that can be completed and achieve maximum results. A student needs to master many skills learned. One of the skills learned are skills of memory. Skills is very important considering ruled that any information received can be processed, stored and can be used when the information is needed. This study aims to identify the skills of memory students and analyze the utilization of counseling services in the optimization of skills given the student. The population of this research is student counseling Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP). The research sample is student counseling Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP) as many as 84 people. The sampling technique using simple random sampling. Collecting data using questionnaire instrument learning skills (memory). Data were analyzed using percentages with the help of Microsoft Exel. The research found that the skills of memory counseling students have not developed optimally. Thus, students need to seek out and study methods or techniques memory is good, so that any information received can be processed, stored and reused when the information is needed. The purpose of this research to describe self control and truant behavior students and examine the relationship between self control with the behavior of truant students. This research applied quantitative method and descriptive correlational design, with a sample of 234 students,  that drawn by Propotional Stratified Random Sampling technique. The instrument of this research was a scale of Likert model. Hypothesis testing of research using the formula Pearson Product Moment Correlation with SPSS for mindows release 20.00. The results showed: (1) on average,  the truant behavior of class X and XI SMA Negeri 7 Padang was 19.86 hours of lessons in 2 months, (2) on average,  class X and XI SMA Negeri 7 Padang self control was 108.24 at the high category, (3) there was significant negative of self-control with truant behavior of students, with a correlation coefficient -0.289  significance level 0.000, which is smaller than 0.05. This research can be used as an analysis of the needs of students for the teacher of guidance and counseling for the manufacture of guidance and counseling services programs at SMA Negeri 7 Padang.

This research was done because of phenomenon of the students’ low motivation to get the achievement at school. Social support have a correlation for creating the students’ potential giftedness to get an achievement in learning. The role of the teachers, especially the teachers of guidance and counseling are needed in improving the students’ achievement at school in order to improve their learning achievement. This research has purpose to find the social support and achievement motivation of SMPN Kecamatan Batang Kapas Pesisir Selatan. This research used correlational approach which has purpose to know how is the contribution among the research variables. The population of the research is the students of SMPN Kecamatan Batang Kapas Pesisir Selatan. The amount of the population was 601 students. The sample of this research was 240 students. It had been taken by using simple random sampling technique. The instruments used in the form of scale. The data was analyzed by using descriptive technique and the hypothesis testing was done by using korelasional. The result shows that: (1) social support is in the enough category, (2) students’ achievement motivation is in the enough category, (4) the contribution of social support through the students’ achievement motivation is about 20.2%.  The above findings imply that social support have contributed to students achievement motivation. Needs to be done similar studies were suggested to conduct at different contexts to compare the findings.

The current study aims to identified and described the differences in the level of public anxiety concerning the COVID-19 pandemic based on age and residential zone and the implications for guidance and counseling. This research used a quantitative approach with a comparative descriptive method. The population in this study were the people of 12 districts/cities in Riau Province with the sampling technique using simple random sampling which obtained a sample of 200 people ranging from adolescence to senior with details of 100 people coming from the red zone and 100 people from the green zone of COVID-19 transmission. The research instrument used a Likert-scale questionnaire on the level of public anxiety. The questionnaire was distributed using the google form and the data collection was conducted start from April until May 2020. The results of this study indicated that: (1) the public's anxiety concerning COVID-19 pandemic categorized as moderate; (2) public anxiety concerning COVID-19 pandemic with the highest percentage emerges in the senior category; (3) there was a significant difference between the level of anxiety of people living in the green zone and the red zone concerning COVID-19. These results can be used as references in making guidance and counseling programs in educational units, counseling organizations, and the government as a foundation for a policy brief in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic.

<p class="normal">Efikasi diri dapat diartikan sebagai penilaian seseorang tentang kemampuan-kemampuan yang dimiliki individu dalam mencapai sesuatu yang telah ditargetkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan penjelasan secara deskriptif tentang efikasi diri pada siswa, khususnya kelas VIII MAN Wonokromo Bantul.Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif kuantitatif. Subyek yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII MAN Wonokromo Bantul sejumlah 282 siswa. Teknik sampling yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah <em>simple random sampling</em>. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan statistik diskriptif berupa frekuensi dan persentase. Berdasarkan analisis dan pembahasan diperoleh hasil bahwa efikasi diri siswa  kelas VIII MAN Wonokromo Bantul cenderung menunjukkan kategori sedang. Dari 142 siswa kelas VIII yang memiliki efikasi diri dengan kategori sangat rendah sebanyak 9 siswa (6,34%), efikasi diri dengan kategori rendah sebanyak 35 siswa (24,65%), efikasi diri dengan kategori sedang sebanyak 62 siswa (43,66%), efikasi diri dengan kategori tinggi sebanyak 26 siswa (18,31%) dan efikasi diri dengan kategori sangat tinggi sebanyak 10 siswa (7,04%). Seyogyanya hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi panduan bagi guru bimbingan dan konseling sebagai upaya untuk membantu meningkatkan efikasi diri siswa.</p><p class="normal"> </p><em>Self-efficacy can be interpreted as someone's assessment of the abilities that individuals have in achieving something that has been targeted. This study aims to provide a descriptive explanation of self-efficacy in students, especially grade VIII MAN Wonokromo Bantul. The research method used in this study is quantitative descriptive. The subjects used in this study were eighth grade students of MAN Wonokromo Bantul totaling 282 students. The sampling technique used in this study is simple random sampling. The data analysis technique used in this study is using descriptive statistics in the form of frequency and percentage. Based on the analysis and discussion, the results showed that the self-efficacy of eighth grade students of MAN Wonokromo Bantul tended to show moderate categories. Based on 142 class VIII students there were students who had self-efficacy in the very low category as many as 9 students (6.34%), self-efficacy in the low category as many as 35 students (24.65%), self-efficacy in the medium category of 62 students (43 , 66%), self-efficacy in the high category as many as 26 students (18.31%) and self-efficacy in the very high category as many as 10 students (7.04%). The results of this study should be a guide for teachers guidance and counseling as an effort to help improve student self-efficacy</em>

Academic procrastination was one of behavior of students who defer to the task. Academic procrastination was influenced by various factors among which are the locus of control and perfectionist. This study aimed to described: (1) locus of control of students SMAN 10 Padang, (2) perfectionist of students SMAN 10 Padang, (3) academic procrastination of students SMAN 10 Padang, (4) contribution locus of control toward academic procrastination students SMAN 10 Padang, (5) contribution of perfectionist towardacademic procrastination studentsSMAN 10Padang, (6) contribution locus of control and perfectionist toward academic procrastination students SMAN 10 Padang.This study used a quantitative approach with descriptive correlational method. The population in this research were students in grade X and XI of SMAN 10 Padang many as 571 students. Samples were obtained as many 235 students with using Proportional Stratified Random Sampling technique. The instruments of this research were the Inventory and Likert scale model. The data obtained were analyzed by using simple regression, and multiple regression.The research finding were: (1) locus of control in average were at internal category, (2) perfectionist in average were atmoderate category, (3) the academic procrastination in average were at moderate category, (4) the locus of control are contribution significant to academic procrastination by 21.3%, (5) the perfectionist contribution significant to academic procrastination by 11.7%, and (6) the locus of control and perfectionist in together contribute significant to the academic procrastination by 24.5%. The implication of this research may useful input to direct the Guidance and Counseling Teacher/Counselors to provide guidance and counseling services especially for personal and of study field. Creativity is a person's ability to create something new. Creativity of students need to be cultivated by all of their environment, such as their parents, teacher’s subjects, or guidance and  counseling teacher. This research aims to describe the creativity of the students in SMPN 2 Padang, and describe the efforts to be made by the teacher guidance and counseling in developing the creativity of students. The type of this research is the research of combinations (Mixed method), the populations of this research are 536 people, with 88  samples using proportional random sampling technique. The source of this data research is from primary data collected by using paper test to appereance the creativity (AUKREF) and interviews with the guidance and counseling teachers. The results of this research are: (1) The creativity level of the students are in good category (71.6%) with the average score of student is 54.34. (2) The efforts made by guidance and counseling in developing students' creativity is to create a sense of safe to the students, recognizing the advantages of students creative, strategies or tips in favor of the students to be more creative, to help student who has the creativity to understanding their differences with the other children, give opportunities for creative students to communicate ideas, and provide guidance and counseling services in developing students' creativity. Based on these findings, it hopefully the guidance and counseling teacher can optimize guidance and counseling services in developing students' creativity at SMPN 2 Padang.

The purpose of this research are to describe and distinguishing student’s learning skills achievement of high and low achievement. The research used quantitative approach using comparative descriptive type. The research conducted on students SMA Padang city that accredited A, B, and C in education 2011/2012 with population are 658 students. Number of research samples as much 120 students and in sampling using purposive sampling technique. The findings of this research revealed that (1) are generally high-achieving students 'skills in both categories, (2) skills of underachieving students in both categories, (3) analysis of t test results revealed there were differences in high-achieving students' learning skills and learning skills of students underachieving high schools in the city of Padang. Counselor are expected to help improve learning skills by providing guidance and counseling services to suit the needs of students, for consideration BK programming services in maintaining, developing and improving students' learning skills.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara persepsi siswa terhadap bimbingan dan konseling dengan minat siswa mengikuti layanan konseling individu di kelas VII B dan D SMPN 15 Banjarmasin. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah adanya berbagai macam pandangan atau persepsi siswa terhadap BK di sekolah sehingga hal tersebut dapat mempengaruhi minat siswa mengikuti layanan konseling individu. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional dengan menggunakan teknik analisis Pearson Product Moment pada program SPSS 26. Sampel yang di gunakan ada 52 orang dari jumlah populasi 60 orang siswa VII B dan VII D dengan teknik simple random sampling. Teknik pengumpul data menggunakan dua buah skala likert melalui kuesioner yang di sebar kepada siswa melalui link WhatsApp. Uji validitas kuesioner menggunakan Pearson Product Moment dan uji reliabilitas menggunakan Cronbach Alpha. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa ada hubungan positif yang signifikan antara persepsi siswa terhadap bimbingan dan konseling dengan minat siswa mengikuti layanan konseling individu pada kelas VII B dan VII D SMPN 15 Banjarmasin dengan nilai signifikan 0,001 < 0,05 dan pearson correlation 0,448 > rtabel pada taraf 5% 0,273. Dengan demikian, hipotesis H1 di terima. Sehingga berarti bahwa persepsi siswa terhadap bimbingan dan konseling memiliki hubungan dengan minat siswa mengikuti layanan konseling individu.__________________________________________________________________The purpose pf this study was to determine the relationship between students perceptions of guidance and counseling with student interest in participating in individual counseling services in class VII B and D SMPN 15 Banjarmasin. The background of this research is the existence of a variety of views or perceptions of students towards BK in school so that it affects student interest in participating in individual counseling. This research is a quantitative design using pearson product moment analysis techniques in the SPSS 26 program. The sample used was 52 people from a population of 60 students of class VII B and D with simple random sampling technique. The data collection technique used two Likert scales through a questionnaire distributed to student via the WhatsApp Link. The questionnaire validation and the reliability test uses Cronbach Alpha. The results showed that there was a significant positive relationship between student perception of guidance and counseling with student interest in participating in individual counseling services in class VII B and VII D of SMPN 15 Banjarmasin with a significant value 0f 0,001 < 0,05 and pearson correlation 0,448 > rtable at 5% level 0,273. Thus, the H1 hypothesis is accepted. So that means that student perceptions of guidance and counseling have a relationship with the interests of student following individual counseling services.

Abstract: Improving Guidance and Counseling Teachers’ Skills in the Acquisition of Students’ Psychological Preparedness for Natural Disasters. This study aims to investigate whether there is an improvement of school councelors’ skills in carrying out personal-social guidance and counseling after joining a module implementation training on the improvement of students’ psychological preparedness for natural disasters. This was a quasi-experimental study involving 29 high school counselors in the Province of Yogyakarta Special Territory. The sample was selected using the area quota random sampling technique. The data collecting instruments consisted of a test, scale, and observation. The data were analyzed using the t-test with the SPSS program. The result showed that there was a significant increase in school counselors’ skills, before and after the module implementation training, in carrying out personal-social counseling services with the aim of improving students’ psychological preparedness for natural disasters. The main purpose of the present study is to observe need assessment for guidance and Counseling services and its existing status at secondary level in Southern Punjab, Pakistan. Furthermore, it was important to identify the most common problems faced by the students at secondary level. The present study was delimited to different public and private sector secondary schools of districts including Multan, Khanewal and Lodhran from the province of Punjab. Target Population of the study was consisted of forty (40) secondary schools, out of which twenty (20) public and twenty (20) private sector secondary schools. Total three hundred and ten (310) students were taken as a sample by using simple random sampling technique by using table of random numbers. A Questionnaire was developed as research tool which was based upon five points (05) Likert-type scale to collect quantitative data. After data collection, data was coded to analyze by using SPSS software. The results of the present study showed that there was a need to introduce guidance and Counseling services at secondary school level to address the students’ dire needs. Moreover, orientation programs are needed to arrange for teachers to provide professional training about these services. It was also recommended that guidance and Counseling services are the best solution to resolve personal, psychological & educational problems, source of educational, professional & personality growth, development and motivation towards their studies.
