Injuries are cases of injury that are often experienced by every human being. A wound is the loss or damage of some body tissue. Many andaliman fruits contain many phytochemicals such as phenols, saponins, flavonoids, triterpioids, and alkaloids. Its terpenoid content has antioxidant and antimicrobial activity repellents. Iris / incision wounds, which are wounds caused by sharp object slices such as knives, cause damage to vessels that are large enough if the slice is deep enough. This study aims to find out the effect of Andaliman Fruit Essential Oil Saleb (Zanthoxylum acanthopodium DC.) on wound healing in white rats. This experimental study with the approach of Pre-test and Post-test group only control design was conducted January to February 2021, at the Herbarium Medanese FMIPA USU, the Pharmacognosive Laboratory of the Faculty of Pharmacy USU, and the Laboratory of Pharmaceutical Pharmacology USU. The samples were Andaliman Fruit (Zanthoxylum acanthopodium DC.), and male white rats. The number of samples using frederer formula, so determined the number of as many as 25 rats selected randomly divided into 5 groups. Data analysis uses the normality test statistical data test, and the ANOVA test. The results of the study that andaliman fruit extract has several bioactive compounds such as alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, and tannins that play a role in wound healing. The optimum concentration of Saleb Andaliman fruit essential oil that can heal wounds in white rats is 5%. The highest percentage of cures on the 14th day was in positive control (Bioplacenton®) which was 95% and followed by an extract of 5% v/v with a cure percentage of 90%. Essential oil of andaliman fruit extract has the ability to approach Bioplacenton® in healing wounds in mice.

Wound is a condition that is the destruction of the unity or network components, which are specifically found the substance of tissue damaged or lost, either damage the continuity of the skin, mucous membranes and bones or other organs. Wound healing is a very complex process involving many cells. The process of wound healing is portrayed as occurs in biological surgical wound occurred. Several phases of wound healing are: the process of inflammation (inflammatory), the process of cell multiplication (proliferation) and cell maturation process (maturase). Okra is a plant that allegedly came from Southeast Asia. Okra has grown in many countries in almost all over the world. In the UK okra known as the Lady's Finger, in India it is called by the name of Bhindi while the United States called Gumbo. In Indonesia, this plant also has a local name that is Rabamea (Bima), Coffee Java (Java), Arabian Coffee (Sulawesi), Hoinu (Southeast Sulawesi), but better known by the name of okra. This study aims to determine the effective concentration and determine the length of time of wound healing using a combination gel okra fruit extract (Abelmoschus esculentus) And shallots (Allium cepa L.) as an anti-inflammatory against cuts in male white rats (Sprague -Dawley) with a length of observation for 9 days. This study uses Betadine® ointment as a positive control. The results showed the combination of fruit extract gel okra 6% and shallots 2% contained in the formula 3 most effective as an anti-inflammatory against cuts in male rats by administration for 6 days.

As proper wound management is crucial to reducing morbidity and improving quality of life, this study evaluated for the first time the wound healing potential of H. italicum essential oil (HIEO) prepared in the form of ointment and gel in streptozotocin-induced diabetic wound models in rats. After creating full-thickness cutaneous wounds, forty-eight diabetic rats were divided into six groups: (1) negative control; (2) positive control; (3) ointment base; (4) gel base; (5) 0.5% HIEO ointment (6) 0.5% HIEO gel. Wound healing potential was determined by the percentage of wound contraction, hydroxyproline content, redox status, and histological observation. A significant decrease in the wound size was observed in animals treated with HIEO formulations compared with other groups. The HIEO groups also showed a higher level of total hydroxyproline content, and more pronounced restitution of adnexal structures with only the underlying muscle defect indicating the incision site. Hence, our results legitimate the traditional data of the pro-healing effect of HIEO because HIEO in both formulations such as gel and ointment exhibited the significant wound repairing effect in the incision wound model.

The study aimed to determine the effect of the yellow kepok banana corm extract formula as an anti-inflammatory. Banana corm was cut into 0.3 x 1 x 3 cm pieces, dried in the oven with temperature 60 °C for 6 hours, then made 40 mesh powder. The powder extracted using 70 % ethanol by maceration technique for 24 hours, repeated three times. Anti-inflammatory testing was carried out on male </em>Sprague Dawley<em> white rats. A total of 24 white rats were divided into six treatment groups, consists of </em><em>different concentrations of the extract (10, 15, and 20 %), positive control (commercial ointment), negative control, and a normal control (giving a wound without being given any formula). The experiment was designed as a randomized complete, with four replications, data were analyzed using ANOVA and the </em>Post Hoc Games Howell Test<em>. The results showed that the yellow kepok banana extract formula had the potential for wound healing. The 20 % extract formula can accelerate wound healing in a day than the 10 and 15 % formulas. The  speed  is  shown  by  wound  healing  without  scars  from  the   20 %</em> <em>extract formula, which  occurs  earlier  than other formulas. The anti-inflammatory activity of the 20 % formula was comparable to the positive control of commercial ointment. The anti-inflammatory activity of the yellow kepok banana ointment formula is related to the compound of saponins, flavonoids, and tannins. The results indicate that the yellow kepok banana corm extract has the potential to be developed as an anti-inflammatory drug.</em><br /></em></p>
