This study aims to reveal the influence of individual caring and organizational trust on organizational commitment of private LPTK lecturers in Medan city. This research design is classified as ex post facto research which has a causal relationship using a quantitative approThis research was conducted at private LPTKs throughout the city of Medan. This study was planned for 6 months. The population of this research is all lecturers who work in LPTK in Medan City. Based on data from each LPTK in Medan City, it was found that an overall population of 489 lecturersach. This research design uses a survey method. The data obtained from the measurement results were analyzed descriptively and inferentially. The stages in data analysis to be carried out in this study are descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. The results reveal that: 1. there is a significant effect of individual Carring variance on organizational trust. 2. there is a significant effect of Organizational Trust on Organizational Commitment.

Abstract:This study is an ex post facto that aimed to determine the effect of interpersonal communication between lecturers and students on the students’ learning motivation. The population included all 4th-semester students at the Department of Sharia and Islamic Economics of State Institute Islamic Institute of Bone, consisting of 210 students with the sample as many as 42 students. The methods of data collection were observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The techniques of data analysis used were descriptive analysis and inferential analysis using a simple linear regression test. Based on the calculation of the questionnaire score, it was known that the significance value obtained at 0.00 was stated to be smaller than the confidence level of 0.05 (0.00 <0.05). Based on the significance value, it can be concluded that H0 was rejected, which means that there was an effect of Interpersonal Communication on the students’ learning motivation. While the R-squared value = 0.650, which means that the effect of interpersonal communication between the lecturers and students to the students’ learning motivation was 65% while 35% of students’ learning motivation was affected by other variables that are not the focus of this study. The results of this study proved that interpersonal communication between lecturers and students consisting of several indicators, namely the attitude of openness, empathy, support, positive attitude, and equality, has a positive effect on the students’ learning motivation.Abstrak:Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian ex post facto, bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh komunikasi interpersonal dosen dan mahasiwa terhadap motivasi belajar mahasiswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa semester 4 Jurusan Syariah dan Ekonomi Islam IAIN Bone yang berjumlah 210 mahasiswa dengan sampel sebanyak 42 mahasiswa. Pengambilan data menggunakan metode observasi, angket, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensial menggunakan uji regresi linear sederhana. Berdasarkan perhitungan skor angket diketahui bahwa nilai signifikansi yang diperoleh sebesar 0,00 dinyatakan lebih kecil dari taraf kepercayaan 0,05 (0,00 < 0,05). Berdasarkan nilai signifikansi dapat disimpulkan bahwa H0 ditolak, yang berarti bahwa ada pengaruh komunikasi interpersonal terhadap motivasi belajar mahasiswa. Sementara itu, nilai R Square = 0.650 yang berarti bahwa pengaruh komunikasi interpersonal antara dosen dan mahasiswa terhadap motivasi belajar mahasiswa sebesar 65% sedangkan 35% motivasi belajar mahasiswa dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain yang tidak menjadi fokus pada penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa komunikasi interpersonal antara dosen dan mahasiswa yang terdiri dari beberapa indikator yakni adanya sikap keterbukaan, empati, dukungan, sikap positif, dan kesamaan/kesetaraan berpengaruh positif terhadap motivasi belajar mahasiswa.

Abstract The study investigates the level of teachers’ overall commitment and the level of commitment in each of the three dimensions of organizational commitment. This study which adopts the ex-post facto research design uses descriptive statistics to analyze the data. The findings reveal that the overall level of teachers’ commitment to official duties is very high and also high across each of the three dimensions of organizational commitment. It, however, recommends that government should provide funds for training and retraining of teachers so as to meet the challenges of the on-going economic and social reforms in this time of dwindling State and national resources in order to sustain and possibly improve upon this high level of commitment among the teachers to their duties and to the schools.

The aim of this study to know the influence of divergent thinking ability and self reliance learning towards students learning results. This is an ex-post facto research, the samples was 102 students from ninth class SMPN 24 Makassar. The instruments was divergent thinking skills test, koesioner self reliance learning, and test of student’s mathematical learning results. The results of a descriptive analysis showed that the ability to think divergent students in middle category with average score 55.91, standard deviation 10.623 of the 100 ideal score with percentage 42.42%. The self reliance of learning students in the high category with average score 60.03, standard deviation 6.528 of the 80 ideal score with percentage 74.2%. The results of students learning in the good categorized with average score 80.77, standard deviation 6.416 of the 100 ideal score with percentage 53%. The result of inferential analysis shows that the divergent thinking ability positively and significantly affects the learning results of 0.183. Self reliance learning also positively and significantly affect the learning results of 0.101. The results of inferential show that divergent thinking ability and self reliance learning simultaneously influence the results of mathematics learning students with regression equation Y=70,119+0,009X1+0,181X2. AbstrakTujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh kemampuan berpikir divergen dan kemandirian belajar terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian ex-post facto, dengan mengambil sampel dari siswa kelas IX SMPN 24 Makassar sebanyak 102 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes kemampuan berpikir divergen, kuesioner kemandirian belajar dan tes hasil belajar matematika. Hasil analisis statistik deskriptif menunjukan bahwa kemampuan berpikir divergen siswa dikategorikan sedang dengan skor rata-rata 55,91 dan standar deviasi 10,623 dari skor ideal 100 dengan persentase 42,42%. Kemandirian belajar siswa berada pada kategori tinggi dengan rata-rata 60,03 dan standar deviasi 6,528 dari skor ideal 80 dengan persentase 74,2%. Sedangkan hasil belajar siswa dikategorikan baik dengan skor rata-rata 80,77 dan standar deviasi 6,416 dari skor ideal 100 dengan persentase 53%. Hasil analisis inferensial menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara kemampuan berpikir divergen terhadap hasil belajar matematika sebesar 0,183, terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara kemandirian belajar terhadap hasil belajar matematika sebesar 0,101, serta terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan secara simultan antara kemampuan berpikir divergen dan kemandirian belajar terhadap hasil belajar matematika persamaan regresi Y = 70,119 + 0,009X1 + 0,181X2

This study aims to determine the level of career adaptability and work engagement and the effect of career adaptability on work engagement in millennial generation employees at a startup company. This type of research is ex post facto with a quantitative approach. The population of this study amounted to 34 employees who work at the startup company. This research is a population study; therefore, it uses the entire population of employees. The instrument uses a psychological scale of career adaptability and works engagement. The validity of the research scale uses content validity by expert judgment. The reliability of the research scale was estimated using Cronbach Alpha and composite reliability. The results of the descriptive analysis show that the level of career adaptability and work engagement of millennial generation employees at A startup company is relatively high. The results of multiple linear regression analysis show that: (1) career adaptability affects work engagement, (2) career adaptability concerns and curiosity dimensions affect work engagement, (3) career adaptability dimensions control and confidence have no effect on work engagement.

This research Design entitled ”Loanwords from Dutch  on Manadonese Malay – a Study of Morphology and Lexicology”is a descriptive analysis. It tends to describe the words in Manadonese Malay, especially adopted words from Dutch. Loanwords or adopted words or borrowing words are words adopted by the speakers of one language from the source language. This is the process of speakers adopting words from a source language into their native language. The words simply come to be used by a speech community when they speak  different language, in this case Manadonese Malay. Dutch is the language spoken by Dutch people, especially The Old Dutch who formerly used by Dutch colonialists in Indonesia. Manadonese Malay is spoken in the population of the city of Manado, Bitung, Tomohon, Minahasa districts and surrounding areas. It has similarities with the dialect in Central Sulawesi and Molluca. Most of the words in Manadonese Malay are almost the same in Indonesian, which is the Malay. It is only used for oral communication, there is no standard orthography/writing never ratified.Keywords: Loanwords, Dutch Language and Manado-Malay Language.

This study evaluates the effect of director’s tunnelling on asset utilization of companies in consumer goods sector in Nigeria using a panel data collected from annual financial report of thirty listed consumer goods firm in Nigeria between 2011 and 2016. The study was based on ex-post-facto research design and the data collected were analysed using descriptive statistics, correlation analysis and multiple regression. The study finds that the director’s pay and equity holding varies widely among consumer goods firms. Chairman’s pay and director’s equity holding have a statistically significant effect on asset utilization at 5% level. While the director’s pay policy has no statistically significant effect on asset utilization. The finding shows pay, chairman’s pay and director’s equity holding are three major avenues used for tunnelling as they have a significant effect on tunnelling. The study recommends that policymaker should formulate a policy that will reduce the tunnelling tendency of directors and board chairman.

This article describes a study in which the closure success (i.e., status 26) rates for Caucasians and African Americans with mild and moderate mental retardation were analyzed. A series of chi-square tests were utilized to evaluate 40,046 cases obtained from the RSA-911 database for fiscal year 1997. Results indicated that African Americans with mild/moderate mental retardation were less likely to achieve closure success when compared to Caucasians with mild/moderate mental retardation. Results are presented for the dependent variable, and the implications of the findings for service and research are discussed.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh gambaran faktor situasional, factor, pilihan bidang keahlian teknik mesin dan determinasi faktor situasional dan faktor psikologis dalam pemilihan bidang keahlian teknik mesin di SMK di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Penelitian yang dilakukan merupakan penelitian korelasional dan bersifat ex-post facto. Penelitian dilakukan di SMK Kelompok Teknologi dan Rekayasa pada Bidang Keahlian Teknik Mesin negeri dan swasta di wilayah Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Data dianalisis dengan analisis deskriptif, analisis regresi dan analisis jalur. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa 1) skor untuk faktor situasional termasuk dalam kategori tinggi,  skor untuk faktor psikologis termasuk dalam kategori tinggi, dan skor pilihan bidang keahlian teknik mesin di SMK  termasuk dalam kategori tinggi, 2) ada pengaruh faktor situasional dan psikologis terhadap pemilihan bidang keahlian teknik mesin SMK di Yogkarta.Kata kunci: faktor situasional, faktor psikologis, determinasi bidang keahlian teknik mesin SMK ______________________________________________________________DETERMINANT FACTOR IN THE CHOISE OF THE MECHANICAL ENGINEERING EXPERTISE PROGRAM IN VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOLS Abstract This study aims to describe situational and psychological factors,  the choice of the mechanical engineering skill program, and  determinations of situational and psychological factors on the choice of the mechanical engineering skill program in VHSs in the Yogyakarta Special Territory. This was a correlational study which was ex post facto in nature. It was conducted in public and private VHSs belonging to the technology and engineering cluster in the Mechanical Engineering Skill Program in the Yogyakarta Special Territory. The data were analyzed using the descriptive analysis, regression analysis, and path analysis. The results of the descriptive analysis show that 1) the scores of situational factors are in the high category, those of psychological factors are in the high category, and that of the choice of the mechanical engineering skill program in VHSs is in the high category, and 2) there are effects of situational and psychological factors on the choice of the mechanical engineering skill program in VHSs in Yogyakarta.Keywords: determinant factors, Mechanical Engineering Skill Program

This study aims to determine the effect of service quality on inpatient satisfaction at the Bahagia Hospital in Makassar City. The research method used is a quantitative survey method using an explanatory approach. A sample of 100 people who are inpatients at the Bahagia Hospital using accidental sampling technique. The data analysis used is descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. The results showed that the quality of service had a significant influence on the satisfaction of inpatients at the Bahagia Hospital. This shows that service quality has an important role so that service delivery can provide results in accordance with what patients expect
