Workers’ performance and efficiency are dependent on their workplace facilities. The present study attempts to identify the six physical factors of the workplace environment: furniture and equipment design, air quality, temperature, sanitation, lighting and noise. Workers' feedback is evaluated by using 5 scale Likert method and it is found that found workplace temperature is most critical for workers' performance. The purpose of this study is to identify workers' impressions about their workplace environment and provide a better understanding to the managers about improvement. Industry-level emphasis on these factors can improve workers' performance standards and production quality. Previous work performance studies are not focused on hygiene and sanitation facility but due to the corona pandemic situation sanitation concern has been raised. This study aims to explore the relationship of these factors with gender and work experience of the workers. Variation in each group has provided an understanding of the basic demand of each type of worker. Journal of Engineering Science 12(3), 2021, 57-66

In the course of the work performance the following surveys were carried out: the analysis of the information assurance of the asphalt concrete mixtures production quality, the study of the relationship between the composition of asphalt concrete mixtures and the physical and mechanical characteristics of the coating. This paper presents the results of the analysis of the two types asphalt concrete mixtures qualitative composition and its effect on the physical, mechanical and technological characteristics of the coating. It is established that the deviation of asphalt concrete mixtures in composition from the required values leads to their under-compaction in the coating. It was also found that the increase in the number of inconsistencies in the composition of the asphalt concrete mixture leads to the increase in physical and mechanical characteristics that differ from the requirements of GOST 9128-2013 and GOST 31015-2002. The amount of bitumen on the asphalt concrete main characteristics, the data from the existing AP in the Belgorod Region were used as the information base in assessing the influence of granulometry of the asphalt concrete mineral part. Analysis of the particle size distribution was carried out using the laser analyzer for asphalt concrete AP 7 / 35B. The obtained data will be the basis for further study of the various parameters influence on the asphalt mixes properties, as well as improving the efficiency of the asphalt mix production control system.

This research was conducted with the aim of analyzing the relationship of performance allowances in optimizing the performance of Civil Service Civil Engineering Institute. The method used in this study is a qualitative research method. Sampling or data sources in this study were conducted purposively and for the sample size determined by snowball, interviewing techniques, data analysis using interpretive models and research results emphasizing the meaning of generalization. The results of this study indicate that each flight engineer has a workload of each. The workload is made by each employee based on job descriptions which are then outlined in the form of Employee Work Objectives (KPI). The development of achievement of KPI is one aspect in the Employee Job Achievement component, which is a reference in providing employee performance benefits, in addition to assessing the employee work discipline component. The granting of performance benefits has met the principles of fairness, fair and reasonable, competitive and transparent. Of the several motivations received by employees, performance allowances are considered the most effective to be given because by providing performance benefits employees have the ability to meet more needs, as evidenced by the desire of employees to try to carry out work optimally through efforts to achieve work performance and work discipline. Employees try to carry out the workload contained in the KPI well, carry out at least 2 additional tasks and make timely reports.

This research aimed to investigate the impact of superior’s anger out on the employees’ creative process engagement, the mediating effect of negative mood, and the moderating effects of the personal identification with the leader. To examine these ideas, we conducted a survey and collected data from 211 employees of diverse organizations. Results result showed that superior’s anger out was positively related to the employees’ negative mood. The negative mood of the employees, however, had no significant effect on the creative process engagement and it did not mediate the relationship of the superior’s anger out with employees’ creative process engagement. Lastly, personal identification with the leader significantly moderated the relationship between the superior’s anger out and the employees’ negative emotion. That is, results revealed that those employees who had higher level of personal identification with the leader regarded his/her anger out as a signal of dissatisfaction toward their work performance, tended to exert more effort to resolve the problems creatively. Applied implications of the results are discussed.

Our study aims to analyze the impact of auditor’s work passion on their performances, with meaningfulness of work and person organization fit (PO-fit) as moderating variables.  Auditor, as a profession associated with assurance of compliance with their clients, highly requires good work passion to increase their spirit, avoid them from work saturation and improve their work quality. Therefore, our study expected that work passion positively affect work performance. Furthermore, meaningfulnes work and PO-fit were also expected to have moderating effect on the relationship of work passion on work performance. The results of regression  and moderated regression analysis (MRA) on 87 samples collected from accoutants working in public accountant firm in Java, Indonesia, suggest that work passion has a positive effect on work performance. The result also shows that meaningfulnes was supported as a moderator on the relationship between work passion and work performance. However, our prediction that PO-fit could be a moderator in the effect of work passion on job performance of auditor was not supported.

Work performance (WP) in the healthcare sector has hither to remained an underexplored area of research. Despite the fact that the implications of WP in the healthcare sector context are far more expensive for both doctors and hospitals, the predictors of WP among the healthcare practitioners appear to have contextual nuances. One of the significant factors and increasing vulnerabilities of the healthcare sector is work-life balance (WLB). However, it is futile to study WLB in isolation, the literature suggests that positive psychological capital (PPC) triggers WLB. Moreover, WLB also assists in enhancing vitality at work that in turn improves WP. Therefore, this study intends to examine the sequential mediation of WLB and vitality at work between the relationship of positive psychological capital and WP. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted at 80 hospitals in the province of Punjab. The stratified sampling design was employed to select a sample from the population. Out of 80, a total of 53 hospitals were consented to participate in the study. A structured questionnaire was administered to a sample of 1100 doctors with a response rate of 83%. The sequential model was tested by applying Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling 3.2. Results: The sequential model proved significant with a partial mediation of work life balance and vitality at work between the relationship of positive psychological capital and work performance. Conclusion: The study provides recommendations to the policy makers to invest time and resources for nurturing the psychological and attitudinal behaviors of the healthcare practitioners that could ultimately enhance their WP.
