They also believe that dreads should only be cut if the child in question has the will / asked for it and must be done throughrituals ruwat or ruwatanled by local traditional elders. This sentence can only be done after the parents fulfill the "whatever" request submitted by the child. It is said that if the cutting of dreads is not done through a sacred ritual, dreads will grow back and the child tends to be sick. The issue of intercultural communication is gaining relevance because of the process of higher education internationalization. In situations of interpersonal communication, students, representatives of different cultures, define themselves and their ethnic identity. The investigation of students’ efficient and tolerant interaction in the conditions of multicultural learning environments enables the authors of the research to put forward a hypothesis that students’ ethnic identity is closely related to their self-presentation in multicultural groups (Russian, Belorussian, Turkmen, and Indian). The aim of the research is to empirically single out some specific peculiarities of students’ ethnic identity and self-presentation strategies in interpersonal communication. The research defines the content and the interconnection between ethnic identity — positive, nihilist, indifferent, fanatical, selfish — and protective and assertive strategies of students’ self-presentation. The article presents an overview of a self-presentation training course aimed at the correction of nonadaptive means of self-presentation and the formation of efficient strategies of self-presentation in interpersonal communication with representatives of other cultural groups. The results of the research may be useful for specialists in the sphere of cross-cultural communication, ethnic psychology and personal psychology.

<em>Carica pubescens Lenne &amp; K. Koch is one of the typical highland crops in Indonesia. This plant can be found in the region of Cangar and Bromo in East Java, as well as the Dieng Plateau, Central Java Wonosobo-Banjarnegara. Morphological, chemical content, and analysis of protein banding pattern of the Carica pubescens has been done, but more about the use of active compounds for pharmaceutical raw materials, in Diabetes Mellitus type 2 have not been studied. One therapeutic approach to lowering blood sugar levels posprandial is to slow down or inhibit the absorption of glucose through inhibition of the carbohydrates hidrolitic enzyme such as α-amylase and α-glucosidase. This study aims to identify antidiabetic compounds in silico. Antidiabetic compounds were analyzed by methods of docking. The results showed that papain and cysteine protease in C. pubescens have better binding affinity to α-amylase and α-glucosidase compared to iridoid glycosides. Papain and cysteine proteases isolated from C. pubescens are potential to be developed as an antidiabetic.</em>

Intercultural communication involves verbal and nonverbal messages. The communication process is conducted not only by means of verbal messages but also by other elements that constitute body language. This process becomes significantly more complicated when cultural contexts are also taken into account. A message which is unambiguously understood and interpreted by the representatives of one culture may have quite a different interpretation in other cultures. It is therefore highly important to take cultural context into consideration during business talks. Being ignorant of this aspect can significantly impact the results of negotiations. Are we doomed to failure caused by cultural differentiation, then? Is the cultural aspect of communication an insurmountable barrier? Certainly not. It is obvious in talks with foreigners that one cannot avoid mistakes and misunderstandings resulting from the inaccurate interpretation of words and gestures. During a time of globalization, mergers and takeovers, intercultural communication is unavoidable. Every new intercultural dialogue brings new experiences and reduces the risk of faux pas based on cultural differences.

Telaga Warna and Telaga Pengilon are two volcanic lakes in the Dieng Plateau offer some unique phenomena which are interested for tourists to visit. Telaga Warna and Telaga Pengilon are located side by side in the Dieng Palteau. Those two lakes also have specific ecosystem which differ to other lakes. However as land use in the surrounding area is now gradually changing, the lake is now facing to environmental degradation. The land use in the surrounding area is for intensive agricultural which main crops are vegetable, especially potatoes. Meanwhile, the number of tourist visiting those two lakes is increasing; it may also give some impact to the lake environment. This research aims to study the impacts of agricultural practices and tourism activities to the lake environmental which lead to the environment sustainability of the lakes. The field survey was conducted to collect some data on lakes characteristics, agricultural and tourism activities. Some interviews to local people and tourists were also conducted. Some water and sediment samples were collected followed by laboratory analyses. Some secondary data from previous study was also collected. Data analysis was conducted based on qualitative and quantitative techniques. The study found that agricultural practices of potatoes plantation uses water from the Telaga Pengilon to irrigate the plant by pumping out the water using water pump and distributes the water over the plantation area. Agricultural practices lead to soil erosion, which contribute sediment to the lake carried by surface runoff. Therefore, the volume of lakes is gradually decreasing. The use of fertilizer in the agricultural practice contribute nutrient into the lake carried by surface runoff, leading to the eutrophication, due to the excess used of fertilizer. The study concludes that agricultural practices and tourism activities have some positive economic impacts to the local community, however it also give some adverse affects on the lakes, both quantitatively and qualitatively. The volume of lakes is gradually decreasing due to sedimentation. In the long term periods the lake may not be interesting object for tourism.
