The article deals with Gran software and the access to it through the remote desktop. The peculiarities of web-based remote desktop access and Gran software system for teaching mathematics at school are revealed. The paper also describes the application of open source software (Ulteo OVD) that allows users to remotely access their desktops and applications using one of the Desktop as a Service cloud components through a client device browser. The modes of using Ulteo OVD client software are described. Two servers (Application Server and Session Manager Server) have been organized to use Ulteo OVD by means of PROXMOX web-based virtual environment. The authors propose the way to use Ulteo OVD to access software installed on a remote server, in particular Gran software. The article also describes some examples of graphical problem solving using Gran1 that can be used in maths at school. The considered issues are quite complex and rather time-consuming without Gran1 software for graphical analysis of various tasks and approximate calculation of numerical measures of different objects (lengths of surfaces, areas of surfaces, volumes of bodies, probabilities of occurrence of different events, statistical analysis of observational data) of their solving. The range of tasks that can be solved with the use of the Gran software package, in particular Gran1 programme, is quite broad. By applying a creative approach, their analysis and solution can have a positive effect on the learners’ mental and cultural development. It is emphasized that the use of various technologies in educational process, as well as the selection of tasks and the content of training in general, should be pedagogically weighted, based on the harmonious combination of pedagogical heritage of the past and modern achievements of scientific and technological progress.

Modern approaches used in organizing the educational process of physical education in higher education institutions are not effective enough at this stage. One of the ways to solve this problem is to increase students' motivation for systematic physical exercises by introducing new types of physical culture and health-improving activities into the educational process. The article highlights the relevance of the introduction of powerlifting tools in the educational process of physical education of students. It has been established that athletic exercises in powerlifting are becoming more and more popular and attractive for their availability, and flexible and diverse methods have an equally positive effect on strong and weak students. It is pointed out that due to the relative simplicity of the equipment of the places of training, powerlifting is one of the most popular sports in student age. Attention is focused on the fact that a wide selection of exercises allows to conduct classes with high density, improve physical fitness, functional state and performance of students, develop all muscle groups, effectively solve the problems of formation and correction of physique, form moral and volitional qualities, and increase sports performance.

The relevance of the study under consideration is due to the need to increase the efficiency of students independent work in solving computational problems. A theoretical rationale is proposed and the practical implementation of an automated training and diagnostic system for the formation of skills to solve problems according to the “white box” model is described. The leading idea of the study is the construction of mental schemes for a given topic, which allow to visualize the dynamics of changes in the learner’s level of ability to solve computational problems. The methods of accounting for forgetting educational information and methods of personalized selection of tasks are substantiated. The site for self-management of user independent work is available at the link: http://msbx.ru. The materials of the article are of practical value for teachers who use e-learning tools in the educational process.

Abstract. In this work we present the Open Plot Project, an open-source software for structural data analysis, including a 3-D environment. The software includes many classical functionalities of structural data analysis tools, like stereoplot, contouring, tensorial regression, scatterplots, histograms and transect analysis. In addition, efficient filtering tools are present allowing the selection of data according to their attributes, including spatial distribution and orientation. This first alpha release represents a stand-alone toolkit for structural data analysis. The presence of a 3-D environment with digitalising tools allows the integration of structural data with information extracted from georeferenced images to produce structurally validated dip domains. This, coupled with many import/export facilities, allows easy incorporation of structural analyses in workflows for 3-D geological modelling. Accordingly, Open Plot Project also candidates as a structural add-on for 3-D geological modelling software. The software (for both Windows and Linux O.S.), the User Manual, a set of example movies (complementary to the User Manual), and the source code are provided as Supplement. We intend the publication of the source code to set the foundation for free, public software that, hopefully, the structural geologists' community will use, modify, and implement. The creation of additional public controls/tools is strongly encouraged.

The increasing need for property in Tanjungpinang City is very growing, especially in the housing sector. Selection of property based on location and facilities and infrastructure is always a consideration for the community in making decisions to buy a property. Difficulty finding property location information in a certain area often occurs, resulting in people not getting references about the properties offered in Tanjungpinang City. The purpose of this research is to create a web-based geographic information system (GIS) regarding the distribution of the number of properties on offer, especially in Tanjungpinang City using a web-based mapping approach. In the development of Property GIS the author uses the Waterfall method and in the analysis of system requirements it is modeled with UML (Unified Modeling Language) and implemented with the PHP programming language and MySQLI database. It is hoped that the results of making this property's geographic information system can help the public to find out information about the distribution of properties offered, such as the location of property coordinates, addresses, prices, property photos, property specification data and property developer data.

One of the fundamental tasks in restoring the operability of cylinder liners is the application of a composite coating with a predetermined microhardness value. The authors have developed a technology for applying composite coatings based on iron on cylindrical surfaces, which makes it possible to vary the physical, mechanical and operational parameters of the formed iron-containing coating due to the planned selection of the deposition parameters. This eliminates the need for mechanical treatment of the applied coating, which is the reason for the high degree of rejection parts that undergo the iron-on operation. Contact interaction of the working tool with the formed layer of the composite coating has a positive effect on the value of its roughness.

SummaryInconsistent use of SNOMED CT concepts may reduce comparability of information in health information systems. Terminology implementation should be approached by common strategies for navigating and selecting proper concepts. This study aims to explore ways of illustrating common pathways and ancestors of particular sets of concepts, to support consistent use of SNOMED CT and also assess potential applications for such visualizations. The open source prototype presented is an interactive web-based re-implementation of the terminology visualization tool TermViz that provides an overview of concepts and their hierarchical relations. It provides terminological features such as interactively rearranging graphs, fetching more concept nodes, highlighting least common parents and shared pathways in merged graphs etc.Four teams of three to four people used the prototype to complete a terminology mapping task and then, in focus group interviews, discussed the user experience and potential future tool usage. Potential purposes discussed included SNOMED CT search and training, consistent selection of concepts and content management. The evaluation indicated that the tool may be useful in many contexts especially if integrated with existing systems, and that the graph layout needs further tuning and development.Citation: Højen AR, Sundvall E, Gøeg KR.
