Background: During the Covid-19 outbreak, health workers, especially nurses, are vulnerable to potential psychological symptoms such as anxiety, which can prevent nurses from carrying out their role as caregivers in health services (Lai et al., 2020; Shanafelt et al., 2020). Objectives: The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors that can influence the anxiety of nurses in playing the role of caregiver during the Covid-19 pandemic. Methods: This is a cross-sectional study with a population of all nurses who met the inclusion criteria as much as 105 nurses. The research sample was selected through stratified random sampling and obtained 84 nurses. This research was conducted at RSI Jemursari Surabaya from June until September 2020. The research instruments used in this study were the demographic observation sheet, knowledge questionnaire, and the Hamilton Anxiety Rank Scale (HARS). Data analysis used Pearson chi-square test and multivariate logistic regression. Results: The results of the Pearson Chi-square test showed that of all the factors studied, only age (p = 0.004), availability of personal protective equipment (p = 0.002), and knowledge (p = 0.017) influenced nurses' anxiety. The results of the analysis using multivariate logistic regression test showed that the factor that most influenced nurses' anxiety was the availability of personal protective equipment (p = 0.001; OR = -3.062). Conclusion: Younger nurses, inadequate personal protective equipment, and less knowledgeable nurses were at high risk for more severe anxiety. Regular observation of the psychological condition of nurses and the fulfillment of the need for personal protective equipment is needed to prevent increased anxiety in nurses.   Keywords: Nurse, anxiety, Covid-19, caregiver.

Scabies is caused by infestation and sensitization of Sarcoptes scabiei hominis varieties. Scabies is easily transmitted to individuals who live in groups such as boarding schools. Knowledge of scabies that is lacking and low in individual hygiene among student causes a transmission to be faster and wider. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the characteristics, level of knowledge and individual hygiene of the student with the occurrence of scabies at the Miftahul Ulum Islamic Boarding School in Kalisat District, Jember Regency. This study used an observational analytical method with cross-sectional. Of the population of 358 students, 229 students were willing to become respondents. The results showed that 105 students (45.9%) suffered from scabies. The chi-square test results showed the characteristics of respondents such as gender, pruritus complaints, pruritus onset when entering the hut, treatment history was associated with the incidence of scabies (p <0.05). Risk factors for individual hygiene in the form of using towels alternately and washing towels together were also associated with the incidence of scabies (p <0.05). Bivariate analysis at the level of individual knowledge and hygiene as a whole showed no significant association with the incidence of scabies (p> 0.05). The result of multiple logistic regression test showed 2 variables, namely, sex and pruritus onset when entering the lodge significantly associated with the incidence of scabies (p <0.05). Keywords : scabies,  knowledge level, personal hygiene

Scabies is a skin disease caused by infestation and sensitization towards Sarcoptes scabiei. It occurs easily in moist and densely-populated vicinities. This research was conducted to analyze the relationship between residential density and personal characteristics towards the incidences of scabies among students of boarding school Raudatul Ulum and Mustaqimus Sunnah, South Sumatra. This research was an epidemiological method using cross-sectional analytic approach, conducted in July 2018. The populations were all students of boarding school and the samples selected were 93 respondents with proportional random sampling. The measuring instruments were cardinal scabies physical diagnostic and questionnaire of demographic interviewing. Obtained results were then analyzed with Chi-Square, Logistic Regression Statistical Tests, and correspondence analysis. The result of scabies prevalence was 59,6% and 56,5% respectively. Logistic Regression testing result yielded the free variable bearing the most dominant influence towards scabies incidence, which was the residential density (OR: 5.850 95% CI: 2.369-14.445). The significant relationship towards the occurrence of scabies should be further investigated in order to prepare for elimination programs.
