Background: Resilience has become highly relevant for nurses working to avoid the negative impact of stress and maximise the positive benefits. Objective: This study aimed to explore and describe experiences of resilience among nurses when they first started working in paediatric wards. Methods: A qualitative, interpretive descriptive approach was used to guide the study. Purposive sampling was employed to recruit 8 participants, which proved sufficient to achieve theoretical saturation. Semi-structured individual interviews were conducted in 2020 and audio recorded. An inductive analytic approach was utilised. Results: Three overarching themes arose from the analysis: (1) The transition period (2) Gaining the trust of others (3) Having a positive mindset. Conclusion: This study found that nurses used multiple strategies of resilience in order to cope with workplace stress when they first began the transition period. However, as they become familiar with the workplace and gain the trust of others, this factor enables nurses to have a positive outlook toward job setbacks.

Object of the analysis. Investigation problem. Athletes' retirement from sports activities and their life after the end of their sports career is relevant in scientific, practical and social terms. The purpose of this study was to provide an overview of scientific studies on athletes’ retirement from sport and how it relates to their life after their carrier in sports.Research methods. The analysis of scientific literature revealed that the main reasons for athletes to finish their careers in sports were trauma, health-related problems or age. Retirement can also be associated with family or family planning. Sports career termination is discussed in two ways, when one retires from sport voluntarily and when one is forced to do so. Voluntary retirement for athletes is usually a planned event and thus most often it does not have a negative impact on their future life. These athletes tend to choose a family over their sports carriers, continue their education or go to work in sports related sectors. Another important factor is athletic identity. Athletes with strong athletic identity during their sports careers tend to have better social life after their retirement. These athletes also tend to have a strong athletic identity after their careers, thus they are less likely to experience stress or depressive symptoms due to their sports career termination. Forced retirement from sports career is usually due to career-ending injuries. Such career outcome is associated with greater short-term and long-term problems in the post-sport transition period. Since athletic careers are strongly controlled by others, the unforeseen outcomes of an unexpected sports career termination results in negative consequences that are related to increased personal responsibility for their further actions. This becomes a greater problem for those athletes that have a higher level of athletic identity as it results in anxiety and depression. Therefore, forced retirement from a sports career is considered to be the most troublesome and worrying problem in the field.Outcomes and conclusions An examination of research literature focused on athlete’s retirement suggests that termination of a sports career is an important event the consequences of which depend on whether it ends by own choice or not. Since the planned retirement from the sports career is less challenging, it is important to help athletes prepare for this stage of their lives. Additionally, it is crucial to focus all efforts on creating a support system for athletes who were forced to end their athletic careers.Keywords: athletic carrier, retirement, life after sport.

<p>The Aotearoa/New Zealand Government has a disposition to spend tax payer's money on prisons. The way in which our current legal system is structured, subsequent Governments are going to have to do the same. Māori make up a disproportionate number of those in prison. Recent times have seen the establishment of an initiative aimed at reducing youth crime rates such as Restorative Justice and Marae-Based Youth Courts (MBYC). This study explores how well these new initiatives offered by the youth justice system provide for the needs of youth and community. The specific aim of this study is to analyse the MBYC from the perspective of rangatahi, lay advocates and Kaumātua (honoured elders). The purpose of this is to better understand the processes that rangatahi (Māori youth) went through when they came into contact with the criminal justice system and how cultural philosophies may better inform this process, so that improved outcomes may be achieved for these rangatahi. This research was conducted under a Kaupapa Māori methodology. A series of 3 individual interviews and 3 focus group interviews were conducted (participant total 11) with the three demographic groups. Interviews were later transcribed and analysed using thematic analysis. Four major themes were identified from the analysis. These were; Tā te ture ki te Rangatahi (law as it pertains to the rangatahi), whakamā, Te Wairuatanga o te Marae (the spirituality of the Marae) and Potentiality of the Lay Advocate Role. All four major themes had a set of subordinate themes directly related to them. It was found that the adversarial nature of the youth justice system was having a negative impact on rangatahi and was inhibiting their ability to experience the feelings of remorse and accountability that the process is designed to induce. The restorative justice parts of the system showed more promise but were also falling short of the outcomes they set for themselves. Encouraging results were seen in relation to the MBYC. However, the transplanting of the adversarial court system on to the marae warranted concerns over the domination of this institution over the marae.</p>

Being universal phenomenon, stress is experienced in everyday human life especially among individuals who work in different industrial set-ups at various levels of jobs. With changing work expectations, competition & environment, increasing workloads and work place politics, stress has become an integral part of employees’ life and affects individual performance. Also, due to an employee’s psychological and physiological reactions to work situation factors directly or indirectly influence the stress to appears, as resultant. Though certain level of work stress instigates the efficiency of work in positive but more stress causes negative impact on individual employee and in turn to organization too. Employees handle such stress without letting it influence their performances but fail to do so with growing work stress beyond certain level. On organization side, it also depends upon type of industry and nature of competition faced by the organization in market. On individual side, this stress impact on performance varies with work experience, demographics and length of service years. In order or assess workplace stress and its influence on individual employee, this study is done on a garment manufacturing organization in India, which is prone to high work stress due to its competitive nature of business.

Purpose This study aims to introduce an important temporal dimension to the research on institution and entrepreneurship in the transition period. This study develops the concept of pre-reform institutional embeddedness, and explores its impact on entrepreneurial reinvestment of private firms in China’s transition economy. Design/methodology/approach The authors used secondary data of a nationally representative sample of China’s private firms collected in the early days of the institutional transition period and applied ordinary least squares regressions and the Baron and Kenny approach to test the theoretical model. Findings Pre-reform institutional embeddedness has a negative impact on entrepreneurial reinvestment of private firms in the transition period. This relationship is mediated by guanxi-induced employment, such that pre-reform institutional embeddedness promotes guanxi-induced employment, which in turn discourages a private firm to reinvest. Additionally, the negative impact of guanxi-induced employment on entrepreneurial reinvestment is reduced when decentralization of decision-making is used. Practical implications First, entrepreneurs should be aware of pre-reform institutional embeddedness’ negative influence on firms’ risk-taking abilities and incentives. Private firms already constrained by this connection could alleviate the negative impacts through a widespread delegation of decision-making authority. Second, policymakers should be cautious about improper government-business relationships, which may discourage private firms from fully pursuing entrepreneurial growth opportunities. Originality/value This paper makes theoretical contributions to the literature on entrepreneurial reinvestment, embeddedness perspective of entrepreneurship and imprinting theory.

The growth hormone (GH)-insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) axis has several roles. While achievement of a satisfactory height is probably the most important and well-known, it is now clear that it also affects body composition, metabolism, muscle mass and bone density during the transition period. Recombinant-growth hormone (Rec-GH) therapy is normally administered to GH-deficient children to achieve a reasonable final height. Retesting with a provocative test (insulin tolerance test or growth-hormone-releasing hormone + arginine test) is necessary during the transition period, after measuring IGF-1 levels. If the patient is still GH-deficient, rec-GH therapy should be restarted at 0.2–0.5 mg/day up to a final dosage of 0.8–1.0 mg/day (albeit there is no general consensus on the dosage). In fact, there is widespread literature evidence of the negative impact of GH-deficiency during the transition period, which provokes increased visceral fat and waist/hip ratio, decreased muscle mass and bone density and increased cardiovascular morbidity and mortality.

Workplace stress is a world-wide concern and has been a subject of researchers, academicians, authorities and decision makers’ interest. It has evidently been considered to be causing poor performance, reduced employee morale, lack of autonomy, job insecurity and to greater extent the employee's wellbeing. Employees in healthcare and hospitality sector work in 24*7 work schedule due to the demanding nature of the industry. Empirical evidences have indicated that employee experience high stress on account of work overload and long working hours taking a toll on their mental and physical well-being. The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of workplace stress on employee well-being among staff employees in the health care sector and hospitals in UAE. A total of 150 employees working at staff level in health care centers and hospitals in UAE were surveyed. The results showed that workplace has negative impact on employee well-being and the impact was found to be weak. The findings of the study suggest that an increase in workplace stresses will reduce wellbeing of employees. The researchers recommend that in order to reduce the impact of stress on employee well-being organizational support, family support and social support is essential.

Abstract. Throughout the year 2001, aerosol samples were collected continuously for 10 to 15 days at the French Antarctic Station Dumont d'Urville (DDU) (66°40' S, l40°0' E, 40 m above mean sea level). The nitrogen and oxygen isotopic ratios of particulate nitrate at DDU exhibit seasonal variations that are among the most extreme observed for nitrate on Earth. In association with concentration measurements, the isotope ratios delineate four distinct periods, broadly consistent with previous studies on Antarctic coastal areas. During austral autumn and early winter (March to mid-July), nitrate concentrations attain a minimum between 10 and 30 ng m−3 (referred to as Period 2). Two local maxima in August (55 ng m−3) and November/December (165 ng m−3) are used to assign Period 3 (mid-July to September) and Period 4 (October to December). Period 1 (January to March) is a transition period between the maximum concentration of Period 4 and the background concentration of Period 2. These seasonal changes are reflected in changes of the nitrogen and oxygen isotope ratios. During Period 2, which is characterized by background concentrations, the isotope ratios are in the range of previous measurements at mid-latitudes: δ18Ovsmow=(77.2±8.6)‰; Δ17O=(29.8±4.4)‰; δ15Nair=(−4.4±5.4)‰ (mean ± one standard deviation). Period 3 is accompanied by a significant increase of the oxygen isotope ratios and a small increase of the nitrogen isotope ratio to δ18Ovsmow=(98.8±13.9)‰; Δ17O=(38.8±4.7)‰ and δ15Nair=(4.3±8.20‰). Period 4 is characterized by a minimum 15N/14N ratio, only matched by one prior study of Antarctic aerosols, and oxygen isotope ratios similar to Period 2: δ18Ovsmow=(77.2±7.7)‰; Δ17O=(31.1±3.2)‰; δ15Nair=(−32.7±8.4)‰. Finally, during Period 1, isotope ratios reach minimum values for oxygen and intermediate values for nitrogen: δ18Ovsmow=63.2±2.5‰; Δ17O=24.0±1.1‰; δ15Nair=−17.9±4.0‰). Based on the measured isotopic composition, known atmospheric transport patterns and the current understanding of kinetics and isotope effects of relevant atmospheric chemical processes, we suggest that elevated tropospheric nitrate levels during Period 3 are most likely the result of nitrate sedimentation from polar stratospheric clouds (PSCs), whereas elevated nitrate levels during Period 4 are likely to result from snow re-emission of nitrogen oxide species. We are unable to attribute the source of the nitrate during periods 1 and 2 to local production or long-range transport, but note that the oxygen isotopic composition is in agreement with day and night time nitrate chemistry driven by the diurnal solar cycle. A precise quantification is difficult, due to our insufficient knowledge of isotope fractionation during the reactions leading to nitrate formation, among other reasons.

In early 2020, the entire world suffered the Covid-19 Pandemic which impacted the hotel industry enormously. One of the impacts felt by several hotels was a decline in hotel occupancy, resulting in a quite shortfalls. To suppress the increasing number of Covid-19 virus cases, the regional government of DKI Jakarta Province has implemented a Large-Scale Social Ristictions Policy (PSBB). Hence, the objectives of this study are (1) to find out the impacts on hotels’ during the PSBB period, (2) to find out hotel’s promotion policy during the Covid-19 pandemic (3) to find out the outcomes of hotels’ promotion policy implementation during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study uses qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques are used by conducting interviews and documentation studies. The results showed that hotel industry undergone a tremendous impact, one of which was the decrease in hotel occupancy. Some hotels have developed some promotion policy to keep their operation wheels moving. The following is the hotel promotion policy, including creating a “Work From Hotel” package or working in a hotel, namely by designing hotel rooms as personal offices equipped with fast Wi-Fi, selling 3 night packages for 2 nights including 2 breakfast, selling complete sanitation packages for living quarters,  offices, houses of worship, schools or other areas, selling food in boxes that can be delivered to the destination and selling the "Buy Now Stay Later" promotion, namely buy now, stay later "

The article considers the definition of marketing and marketing management from the standpoint of various scientists. The main tasks of marketing of an enterprise are studied as an integral part of management of marketing activities. The necessity of marketing management is analyzed, and the advantages of its use are outlined. The concept of organic production is studied; an interpretation of marketing management of organic production is proposed, which includes the study of the needs of existing and potential consumers, the development of an appropriate product range, which will be based on the requirements for the production of organic products, taking into account the wishes of consumers, the sale of products by optimally selected sale channels, which will lead to the achievement of better competitive advantages and profit maximization. The article also considers the general requirements for organic production in Ukraine, as well as the list of prohibitions for this production. The features of marketing management in the field of organic production are determined, which include: ensuring the absence of negative impact on the environment by production; compliance with the principles and requirements for the production of organic products; the presence of a transition period of production; the mandatory procedure for annual certification; the presence of special labeling of products, which is agreed with the certification body.

Abstract. This article discusses the existence of print media during the Covid-19 pandemic. Now, many printed media have lost their readership significantly. The Covid-19 pandemic has become a disruption that has a negative impact on the print media industry. People choose to switch to digital media because it is easy and the information they need is faster. Changing the media used in conveying information will certainly have an impact on the future of the media itself. When the turnover of print media decreases, the print media company will go bankrupt / close and lay off employees and cut employee salaries. The method used in this article uses a qualitative descriptive approach by using a research procedure according to the latest available facts to solve a problem regarding the existence of print media during the Covid-19 pandemic. Based on the data obtained, it is explained that from 434 print media throughout January to April 2020, 71 percent of print media companies experienced a decrease in turnover of 40 percent when compared to the same period in 2019. Based on the data above, it can be seen that a decrease in media existence print during the COVID-19 pandemic. This decline certainly had an impact on the business turnover of advertisers, which resulted in a decrease in advertising budgets on various media platforms.Keywords: Covid-19, Existence, Print Media, PandemicAbstrak. Artikel ini membahas tentang eksistensi media cetak pada masa pandemi Covid-19. Saat ini, amat banyak media cetak yang kehilangan para pembacanya secara signifikan. Pandemi Covid-19 ini sudah menjadi disrupsi yang berdampak negatif bagi para industri media cetak. Masyarakat memilih beralih ke media digital karena mudah dan informasi yang dubutuhkan lebih cepat. Berubahnya media yang digunakan dalam penyampaian infromasi tentu akan memberikan dampak pada masa depan dari media itu sendiri. Ketika omzet media cetak turun maka perusahaan media cetak akan mengalami bangkrut/tutup serta terjadi pemecatan pegawai dan  pemotongan gaji karyawan. Metode yang digunakan dalam artikel ini dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan sesuatu tata cara riset sesuai fakta-fakta yang terdapat terbaru untuk memecahkan sesuatu permasalahan mengenai eksistensi media cetak pada masa pandemi Covid-19. Beradasarkan data yang diperoleh menjelaskan bahwa dari 434 media cetak disepanjang bulan Januari hingga bulan April 2020, terdapat 71 persen perusahaan media cetak mengalami suatu penurunan omzet dari 40 persen bila dibandingkan dengan periode yang sama pada tahun 2019. Bedasarkan data diatas maka dapat dilihat penurunan eksistensi media cetak selama pandemi covid 19. Penurunan ini tentunya berdampak pada omzet usaha dari para pengiklan mengalami penurunan yang mengakibatkan anggaran iklan pada berbagai platform mediapun menjadi semakin berkurang.Kata Kunci: Covid-19, Eksistensi,Media Cetak, Pandemi
