This study emphasizes the importance of teaching materials to improve the culture of scientific literacy in science learning through encyclopedia books. The culture of scientific literacy plays an important role in dealing with everyday life in society, participating in various science-related issues that are complex and greatly affect our view of the world and the place of humans in it and the need for a scientifically literate workforce is thought to be improved through teaching materials encyclopedia. Thus, there is scientific literacy between students, and between teachers and students through a teaching material tailored to student interests which aims to create a culture of scientific literacy. The purpose of this study was to obtain a product and determine the learning outcomes of fifth grade students after using encyclopedia teaching materials. The quantitative method through the pre-test and post-test used in this approach is data collection by means of data collection, planning, product development and validation and testing stages. This research was conducted in 3 elementary schools in West Jakarta, namely SDN Sukabumi Utara 07, SDN Sukabumi Utara 08 and SDN Sukabumi 09. The object developed was Science in grade V SD which was developed in the form of encyclopedia teaching materials.

This study aims to develop English language materials of front office for second semester students of the eleventh grade at SMK N 2 Singaraja. This study adopts the Design and Development (D&D) which is guided by data collection through six instruments, namely questionnaires for teacher and front office staff, Google form for teachers and students, checklist for students, and checklist for expert judges. There are three stages that the researcher takes to complete this study, namely designing, developing, and evaluating the quality of the teaching materials (product) so that it can be categorized as a good material. The result is that there are four topics developed by the researcher, namely (1) Renewal of reservations, (2) Cancellation of reservations, (3) Handling of group reservations orally and in writing, and (4) Handling of individual reservations orally and in writing.

This research is based on the problem of the low student learning outcomes in science learning at Muhammadiyah Elementary School Klepu, Sleman Regency. The teacher still uses a conventional learning model so that the learning atmosphere becomes rigid and ultimately makes student learning outcomes lower. Therefore the teacher seeks to use the Discovery Learning learning model to create an interesting and enjoyable learning atmosphere. This study aims to improve learning outcomes of science through the Discovery Learning learning model in fifth grade students of SD Muhammadiyah Klepu Sleman Regency Academic Year 2018/2019. This type of research is classroom action research. This research was conducted in 2 cycles. This research was conducted on fifth grade students of SD Muhammadiyah Klepu Sleman Regency. Data was collected using observation sheets and test questions. The data analysis technique in this study is descriptive analysis. The results of this study indicate that learning through the Discovery Learning learning model can improve student science learning outcomes. The average value of post-test Cycle I is 62.2 and the percentage of mastery learning is 9.5%. In the second cycle the average score of the post-test increased to 80.91 and the percentage of mastery learning was 76.2%. Based on data obtained from the study, it can be concluded that learning through the Discovery Learning learning model can improve student learning outcomes.

ABSTRACT[Capacity of student critical thinking through learning base on ecosystem study of water river]. South Bengkulu one of regencies in Bengkulu Province, located west in of the Bukit Barisan Mountains range which has a height of 600-1200 meters above sea level. South Bengkulu has a lot natural wealth that can be utilized as a medium of learning. This research aims to measure the ability of critical thinking and process skill student of class VII MTN 2 south Bengkulu by utilizing environment-based teaching materials. This research uses observation data collection techniques and test (pre test and post test ) Assessment of process skill conducted on two learning activities that is indoor and out door learning activities. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data observasi dan tes (pre test dan Post test). Penilaian keterampilan proses ini dilakukan pada dua kegiatan pembelajaran indoor dan kegiatan pembelajaran outdoor. Kemampuan kinerja keterampilan proses siswa kelas VII MTsN 2 bengkulu Selatan termasuk kedalam kategori sangat baik dan Baik dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa secara klasikal termasuk kedalam kategori Kritis.Kata Kunci: Kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, bahan ajar berbasis lingkungan, Pre test dan post test.

AbstractThe purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of science learning in simple aircraft material using Pair Check assisted learning questions. Question Card for fifth grade students of SDN Sukoharjo 01 Pati. This research is quantitative. The research method using one group pretest-posttest design. Based on the results of the analysis data obtained the initial test or pre-test conducted by researchers obtained data on average class 60.59259 there were 25 students did not complete KKM 75 with students who completed only 2 students. Then the class was given treatment, namely Natural Science learning about Simple Aircraft material using the Pair Check assisted Question Card model. Learning outcomes obtained by students after the treatment of post-test scores showed that class V obtained an average of 78.81481 with students completing 22 and who had not completed 5 students. In the final analysis of calculations using t test is obtained if α = 0.05 and db = N-1 = 27-1 = 26 obtained t table = 2.056 and thitung = 14.578. If thitung> t table, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, so Pair Check is assisted with an effective Question Card towards the learning outcomes of class V students of SDN Sukoharjo 01 Pati.

Good learning is created because of the good motivation given by a teacher to students. Motivation already exists in humans but it emerges because of encouragement, one of which is from a teacher who always provides direction, attention and always encourages students so that students always learn to be successfull people later. This research was conducted at SD Negeri Bukit Tiga Aceh Timur with the sample of the study were fifth grade students of SDN Bukit Tiga. The method used in this research is descriptive survey technique. The data collection instruments used in this study were validation instrument sheet, learning outcomes test, quetionnaires and observation sheets. The result showed that the most chosen motivation given by teachers to students in science learning at SDN Bukit Tiga was the giving of prizes (Rewards) with veri high learning motivation (MBST) followed by attention that had high learning motivation (MBT) and giving punishmant with hig learning motivation (MBT). Abstrak Pembelajaran yang baik tercipta karena adanya motivasi yang baik yang diberikan oleh seorang guru kepada siswa. Motivasi memang sudah ada dalam diri manusia tetapi kemunculannya terjadi karena adanya dorongan, salah satunya dari seorang guru yang selalu memberikan arahan, perhatian dan selalu memberikan semangat kepada siswa agar siswa selalu belajar menjadi orang yang berhasil nantinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui motivasi belajar terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SD Negeri Bukit Tiga Aceh Timur dengan sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas V SDN Bukit Tiga. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan teknik survey. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar instrumen  validasi, tes hasil belajar, angket dan lembar observasi. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi yang paling banyak dipilih yang diberikan oleh guru kepada siswa dalam pembelajaran IPA di SDN Bukit Tiga adalah pemberian hadiah (Reward) yang memiliki motivasi belajar sangat tinggi (MBST) disusul dengan perhatian yang memiliki motivasi belajar tinggi (MBT), dan pemberian hukuman (Punishment) yang memiliki motivasi belajar tinggi (MBT). This study constructed the EIA (Experience–Inquiry–Application) model to evaluate its extent on promoting scientific inquiry activities under an AR learning environment in an upper primary science course setting. Two hundred and nine fifth-grade Chinese students were randomly assigned to one of the three conditions, as a quasi-experiment was conducted to investigate how the EIA model and the AR learning environment influence students’ science learning. Both quantitative and qualitative data were collected. Quantitative data suggest that students who participated in the EIA model under the AR setting performed the best; it also gives evidence to support that both the EIA model and the AR environment has significant positive effects on students’ performance in science learning. Qualitative data, in the form of a semi-structured interview with teachers and students, reveal that AR is able to be used for experiments that were originally deemed impossible, and it inspires students’ motivation for knowledge acquisition. Moreover, the EIA model empowers students in small-group collaboration, and is a good pedagogical tool to summarize units. EIA and AR form a bond of theory and technology and it strengthens students in manifold ways when it is deeply interwoven.

This sresearch aims to apply the SETS approach (Sceince, Environment, Technology, and Social) to improve scientific literacy through understanding science concepts, basic science process skills and scientific work on science learning for fifth grade students of SDN 02 Mojorejo Madiun City. The method used in this study is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which consists of 2 cycles. each cycle has 4 stages, namely planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. the subjects in this study are fifth grade students of SDN 02 Mojorejo. The results of the study using the SETS approach (Sceince, Environment, Technology, and Social) in natural science learning showed an increase in scientific literacy, namely the maintenance of the science concept in terms of an increase in the class average value with a cycle value of 76.71 and an increase in 77 in cycle II. 81, there are basic process skills in students in the first cycle 30% and second cycle 60% and the scientific attitude of students in the second cycle that shows high categories, namely very good. Based on the results of the above study it can be concluded that the use of the SETS approach (Sceince, Environment, Technology, and Social) can improve scientific literacy through understanding the science concept, basic process skills and scientific work of students at SDN 02 Mojorejo Madiun in science learning with green plant matter.

Science learning aims to realize students have the science literacy. One characteristic for someone who is science literate is having an understanding of NOS. NOS can be explicit in teaching material. based on various studies and observation results indicate that NOS exploration in teaching materials is still low so that it affects students' understanding of NOS. This research uses descriptive research method with data collection is done through literature study so that the result of need analysis explicit the nature of science (NOS) in teaching material on topics of layer of earth. Pembelajaran IPA bertujuan mewujudkan siswa berliterasi sains. Salah satu karakteristik bagi seseorang yang berliterasi sains yaitu memiliki pemahaman tentang NOS. NOS dapat dieksplisitkan dalam bahan ajar. berdasarkan berbagai penelitian dan hasil observasi menunjukkan bahwa pengeksplisitan NOS dalam bahan ajar masih rendah sehingga mempengaruhi pemahaman siswa mengenai NOS. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif dengan pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui studi literature sehingga dihasilkan analisis kebutuhan pengeksplisitan hakikat sains (NOS) dalam bahan ajar pada topik lapisan bumi

This research is motivated by the unavailability of teaching materials module for students. This research is a research and development, which the aims to produce a product of teaching materials such as Literacy Al-Qur'an Module effectively and efficiently. The subjects of this study were 23 fifth grade students of SD Rogomulyo 02 Kaliwungu District and accompanied by two validation experts. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and test (Pretest and Posttest). The method for developing of literacy Al-Qur'an module uses Research and development steps developed by Borg and Gall. This steps are consist of 1) preliminary research, 2) product design, 3) validation, 4) product application, and 5) analysis.The results of this study indicate that, literacy al-Qur'an modules compiled by researchers, can improve learning achievement from the averages value of students above the KKM (Minimum completeness criteria). The conclusion is based on the processing of pre-test data of 64.52 and post-test of 77.86 using Paired Samples T-Test data resulting in an average correlation data of 0.806 and a significance value of 0,000. The results of the calculation of Paired Samples T-Test found the value of Sig. (2 tailed) is 0,000 ˂ 0.05, then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Thus it can be concluded that there is an influence on using of literacy al-Qur'an module for students, it's proven any differences in the average between pre-test and post-test results of students or have comply the KKM (Minimum completeness criteria) in schools.
