Comorbidities in COVID-19 patients with the highest percentage are hypertension and diabetes mellitus. Patients with comorbid hypertension and DM have high morbidity and mortality. This study aims to determine the interventions in COVID-19 patients with comorbid DM and hypertension. The method used is a case study with data collection through patient and family interviews, medical record studies and direct observation or through CCTV. The studies showed that the patient was diagnosed with severe COVID-19 by  oxygen therapy (NRM 15 L/min), treating COVID-19 and managing comorbid hypertension and DM with medication and monitoring and reducing anxiety. During treatment, the patient was desaturated, blood pressure and blood sugar level had not been controlled, and the anxiety was quite high. It can be said that interventions that can be given to COVID-19 patients with comorbid hypertension and DM are oxygen therapy, medication, anxiety reduction, and comorbid management. Comorbid hypertension and DM were controlled with medication and regular monitoring. the patient's blood pressure and blood sugar level had not been controlled, it is possible that the patient's anxiety is still experienced. So that as health workers in providing care are expected to pay attention to the biopsychosociospiritual aspects so that the patient's problems are resolved.

Diabetes Mellitus is now considered a pandemic. Especially in India, the number of patients increased at 14% prediabetic, becoming the capital of Diabetes. It is a clinical syndrome which is characterize by an increased level of blood sugar. In Ayurveda, the ṁadhumeha is explained as a type of prameha. The kinds of madhumeha is of two. One is dhatukshaya, and other is avaranjanya. The avaranjanya type of Madhumeha is allowed to be treated with the shodhana process. In which vamana and virechana are effective. Objective: The objective of this study was to study the efficacy of Nitya Virechana in the management of madhumeha. Case report: A single case study of a 59 yrs old male patient who was already diagnosed with madhumeha before 21 days. Symptoms such as pippasa, shramdaurbalya, Bahumutrata were present; after investigation, he was advised for Nitya Virechana. Result: Symptomatic assessment of the patient was carried out after treatment i.e. after Nitya Virechana and outcome was satisfactory, and the quality of life of patient was significantly improved. Conclusion: Nitya Virechana brought about good relief in symptoms in patients with Madhumeha and controlling the blood sugar level.

ABSTRAK Indonesia termasuk dalam 7 negara dengan prevalensi diabetes tertinggi di dunia menurut data dari International Diabetes Federasi (IDF) tahun 2013. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah ada perubahan kadar gula pasien DM tipe 2 sebelum dan setelah terapi oksigen hiperbarik. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif yang bersifat cross sectional dengan desain pre expereimental one group pre-test and post- test design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah pasien DM tipe 2 di Rumah Sakit Advent Bandung, sebanyak 8 orang yang berjenis kelamin perempuan dan yang berusia ≥40 tahun menjadi sampel yang telah dipilih secara purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian, rata-rata kadar gula darah pasien sebelum terapi adalah 257,25 mg/dL dan rata-rata kadar gula darah pasien sesudah terapi adalah 176,00 mg/dL. Hasil uji statistik untuk keefektivan terapi oksigen terhadap kadar gula darah telah diukur menggunakan paired T-test memiliki nilai probabilitas 0,000 < 0,05. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah terapi oksigen hiperbarik mempunyai pengaruh terhadap menurunkan kadar gula darah sewaktu yang signifikan. Untuk menggembangkan penelitian ini diharapkan kepada peneliti selanjutnya untuk memperhatikan pada jumlah kalori yang dikonsumsi dan interval lama pasien terdiagnosa DM atau melakukan penelitian ulang.   Kata Kunci : Terapi Oksigen Hiperbarik, Diabetes Mellitus, Kadar Gula Darah   ABSTRACT Indonesia is among the 7 countries with the highest prevalence of diabetes in the world according to data from the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) in 2013. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a change in blood sugar levels of patient with type 2 diabetes before and after hyperbaric oxygen therapy. This research method is quantitative method which is cross sectional with pre experimental design one group pre-test and post-test. The population of this study is the patient with type 2 diabetes mellitus in Adventist Bandung Hospital, 8 people of woman and over the age of 40 years into a sample that has been selected by purposive sampling. The result of this study, the mean of patient’s blood sugar level before therapy was 257,25 mg/dl and the mean of patient’s blood sugar level after therapy was 176,00 mg/dl. Statistical test result for the effectiveness of oxygen therapy to blood sugar levels were measured using paired t-test having a probability value 0,000 < 0,05. The conclusion of this study is hyperbaric oxygen therapy has an effect on decreasing blood sugar level. To develop this study is expected for next researchers to pay attention to the number of calories consumed and the intervals of patient diagnosed diabetes mellitus or re-do this study. AbstractDiabetes mellitus is a condition of increasing blood sugar levels that exceed 140 mg/dl. The purpose of this case study is to describe the application of giving diabetic foot exercises to reduce blood sugar levels in the body in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. The design of this scientific paper uses a case study method with 2 clients suffering from type 2 diabetes mellitus with blood sugar above 140 mg. /dl in Poncol Village and in Karangsari Village, Batang Regency. The intervention carried out was giving diabetic foot exercises for 4 days and once a day. Evaluation was carried out to determine the decrease in blood glucose using a glucometer. The results of the study showed a decrease in blood sugar in both clients, for client 1 there was a decrease in blood sugar from 220mg/dl to 135mg/dl and for client 2 there was a decrease in blood sugar from 250mg/dl to 137mg/dl. The conclusion of this case study shows that diabetic foot exercises can reduce blood sugar levels in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Suggestions for health workers are expected to teach diabetic foot exercises to reduce blood sugar levels in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.Keywords: blood sugar, diabetes mellitus, foot exercise AbstrakDiabetes mellitus merupakan kondisi kenaikan kadar gula darah yang melebihi 140mg/dl. Intervensi yang dilakukan adalah pemberian tindakan senam kaki diabetik selama 4 hari dan dilakukan satu kali sehari. Evaluasi dilakukan untuk mengetahui penurunan glukosa darah menggunakan alat ukur glukometer Hasil studi menunjukan adanya penurunan gula darah dalam tubuh pada kedua klien, untuk klien 1 mengalami penurunan gula darah dari 220mg/dl menjadi 135mg/dl dan untuk klien 2 mengalamai penurunan gula darah dari 250mg/dl menjadi 137mg/dl. Simpulan studi kasus ini menunjukan bahwa senam kaki diabetik mampu menurunkan kadar gula darah pada penderita diabetes mellitus tipe 2. Saran bagi tenaga kesehatan diharapkan mengajarkan senam kaki diabetik untuk menurunkan kadar gula darah pada penderita diabetes mellitus tipe 2. Penyakit Diabetes Melitus dapat menyebabkan komplikasi yang sangat berat. Komplikasi dari Diabetes Melitus ini meliputi jantung iskemik, serebrovaskuler, gagal ginjal, ulkus pada kaki, gangguan penglihatan. Komplikasi yang paling sering terjadi adanya perubahan patologis pada anggota gerak bawah yang disebut kaki diabetik. Salah satu jenis olahraga yang dianjurkan dengan diabetes mellitus adalah senam kaki. Senam kaki merupakan latihan yang dilakukan bagi penderita DM atau bukan penderita untuk mencegah terjadinya luka dan membantu melancarkan peredaran darah bagian kaki. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh senam kaki terhadap kadar gula darah pasien diabetes mellitus. Desain dalam penelitian ini adalah Quasy Eksperiment dengan rancangan Pre and Post Test Without Control. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan Consecutive sampling. Alat pengumpul data yang digunakan instrument observasi senam kaki untuk menilai senam kaki, dan alat menilai kadar gula darah yaitu glucometer, kapas dan jarum. The complication often causes the changing of pathological in certain place such as feet. The one of recommended sport for diabetics is gymnastic feet. Gymnastic feet is an experience for diabetics or not in order to prevent the wound and launch the blood circulation. The research objective is to analyze the effect of gymnastic feet to blood sugar level for diabetics. The research design is using experiment quasy with pre and post test without control. It is using consecutive sampling as the sample of collecting technique, and using observation of gymnastic feet as the collecting data technique to assess the blood sugar level, those are glucometer, cotton, and needle. The average of blood sugar level is decrease after doing the gymnastic feet. According to the 2017 International Diabetes Federation, the global prevalence rate of Diabetes Mellitus sufferers of 8.8% of the total population in the world from year to year shows an increase. The number of deaths that occurred as many as 4 million people in 2017. The western Pacific region including Indonesia has the highest mortality rate compared to all regions with a mortality rate of 1.3 million in adults. This shows the awareness of the sufferers of Diabetes Mellitus for routine check-ups to health centers is still lacking. According to the 2013 Basic Health Research, the prevalence of people with diabetes mellitus in Indonesia based on a diagnosis or symptoms of 2.1% increased from previous research of 1.1%. The prevalence of DM in Riau Islands Province increased from 0.8 to 1.5%. According to Batam City Health Office data in 2016, the incidence of Diabetes Mellitus in several Puskesmas with 3,724 visits, Botania Puskesmas was the third highest after Lubuk Baja and Balik Padang. This study used a survey method with a cross-sectional approach. The population in this study was Type 2 diabetes mellitus patients who examined themselves at the Botania Health Center in Batam City. Sampling using a purposive sampling technique with criteria established by researchers. The dependent variable in this study is blood sugar level because it is a diagnosis of diabetes mellitus while the independent variable is the measurement of waist circumference. Data analysis using the Spearman rank test. The results of the univariate analysis showed 73.7% of the majority of respondents had a high sugar level. Bivariate analysis with the Spearman Rank test, the results of the analysis found there is a relationship between waist circumference size and blood sugar levels (P-value = 0.341) with the direction of a positive relationship and the strength of the relationship is sufficient (r = 0.409). There is a significant relationship between waist circumference size and blood sugar level with sufficient strength of a relationship

ABSTRACT Diabetes mellitus (DM) in Indonesia is better known as diabetes and in Timor Leste DM known as Ra'an Midar has become a very serious health problem, and is the most common endocrine disease. Diabetes mellitus is a degenerative disease that is characterized by metabolic disorders or pancreatic damage so that the pancreas is unable to produce enough insulin to the maximum so that it can cause insulin deficiency in the body both absolute and relative can increase blood sugar levels or hyperglycemia. Data from the Dili District Health Office in 2018 showed that there were 2690 patients with diabetes mellitus, so that diabetic foot exercises were needed. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Tetum Language Diabetes Foot Gymnastic Education on Lower Circulation and Lower Blood Sugar Levels at the Saude Comoro Center, Dili, Timor Leste. Method : using the Pre-Experiment method. Independent variable: Education of Tetum Language Diabetes Foot Gymnastics Education, dependent variable: Circulation of Lower Extremity and Blood Sugar Level at a Time. Population 100 people, sample 28 people, sample technique: simple random, data collection: Examination of blood sugar levels, blood circulation, statistical tests: Wilcoxon Test. Results : Most respondents who had good blood circulation were 15 pre- test (53.6%) and 18 post-test (64.3%). And the majority of respondents whose blood sugar levels were good were 14 people pre-test (50.0%) and 20 people post test (71.4%). Based on the results of statistical tests using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test, the value of blood circulation is a significant level of 0.005 and the blood sugar level is at a significant level of 0,000. Conclusion : Conclusion there is the influence of Education on Tetun Language Diabetes Foot Gymnastics on Lower Extracurricular Circulation and Blood Sugar Levels At the Saude Comoro Center, Dili, Timor Leste.  Keyword: Leg exercise, lower extremity bloodd circulation, Blood sugar levels, Diabetes mellitus.

Diabetes mellitus is one of cronical degenerative disease. The prevalence of sufferers continues to increase every year, one of the non-pharmacological therapies is exercise such as gymnastics prolanis DM and walking exercises to decrease the glucose level by the body muscles during the physical body. Objective this research is to find out the effectiveness of Prolanis and walking exercises in reducing blood sugar levels in DM patients type II. Method this study uses the Quasi experiment with pre and post with two group design. The study population was 92 DM patients type II with a sample of 82 people. Glucometer (Auto check blood glucose monitor) is used to collect the data. Wiloxon Test is used to analyze the statistical data. Results the research shows that the value of Prolanis Exercises (DM) is p=0.002 which means a significant influence on decrease of the sugar level of DM patients type II. Meanwhile the value of walking exercises is p=0.001. From the statistic test of WIlconxon Signed Rank Test, It obtained Z correlation = 7.886. It means that there is a significant correlation between Prolanis and walking exercises towards the decrease of blood sugar level of Diabetes Mellitus patients type II. Physical activities done regularly, measurably, and correctly are suggested to be considered as non-pharmacological therapies for Diabetes Mellitus patients type II to decrease blood sugar level.
