The assessment of heating systems is not only interested in the efficiency of the heating system itself, but also in the quality of the environment that the heating system creates. The quality of the environment and the heat-humidity microclimate is closely related to thermal comfort. A suitable environment has a positive effect, for example, on the efficiency of work at the workplace. The range of temperatures, humidity and operating temperatures in workplaces is often also legally prescribed in such a way that there is no thermal discomfort for users in the heated space. In terms of savings, it is therefore best to use heating systems that can create a comfortable environment with the lowest possible energy costs. During their development, variations are possible with temperature gradients, the size of the heat exchange area, or the ratio of the radiant and convective components of heat transfer. When developing such systems, it is appropriate to consider CFD simulations. The comparison of the results of CFD simulation and experimental measurement is also in the following article, where the comparison of the operating temperature and the mean radiation temperature of two different heating systems in the model office is monitored.

In this paper, we perform a literature review on the current state of knowledge about homeowners in the context of the adoption of renewable heating systems. Despite a considerable number of studies about homeowners, homeowner–installer interactions, and ways to improve the effectiveness of renewable heating programs, based on homeowner knowledge, have not yet been studied in much detail. To address these knowledge gaps, we conduct a qualitative study on single-family house owners who installed heat pumps and took part in a renewable heating program in Geneva, Switzerland. We cover homeowner practices in choosing installers and heating system types, homeowners’ feedback about heat pump installation and use, as well as their experience in participation in the renewable heating program. Based on the literature review and the findings from the interviews, we provide the following recommendations on how to increase the effectiveness of renewable heating programs: (a) support for homeowners should not be limited to financial incentives; (b) partnership programs with installers could help to increase the quality of installation services and enable homeowners to choose qualified installers; and (c) assisting homeowners in pre-qualification and ex-post analysis, in learning how to operate their renewable heating systems and in solving problems during the post-installation period, can contribute to improved technology reputation, which can, in turn, increase technology uptake by other homeowners.

The paper investigates two different protective phosphate compositions for the chemical treatment of water and the use of them with a view to improve quality of “make-up” water in water heating systems. The research proved a positive effect of reducing the corrosive activity of water and the amount of scale.

It is well known that the dynamic of the stepped hull in real scale is rather complex and it’s not easy to predict that using empirical or mathematical approaches, and by the numerical and experimental way as well. Moreover, there is a huge lack in the literature of data related to sea trials of the stepped hull. Furthermore, the reliability of full-scale CFD simulations is not widely proven and validated especially for high speed and planing hull. For these several reasons, in this paper, the authors are focused on the comparison of the results carried out from model experimental tests performed in the model basin, full-scale CFD simulations, and sea trial tests. The performed simulations in full-scale have been compared to the extrapolated experimental tests and the sea-trial results. Moreover, the dynamic trim angle and the dynamic wetted surface have been taken into account to assess the reliability of the full-scale simulation performed. The stepped hull considered is a Mito 31 outboard Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) built by MV Marine Srl Company.

Buildings are one of the most important energy consumers in the world. High temperature gradients in heating systems can cause the increase of heat loss of the envelopes during the cold season and consequently increase the energy consumption. Floor heating systems has shown that they can generate lower temperature gradients in compare with other convective heating systems. In present study, the CFD simulation is done for a 3-D room and the required energy to achieve the thermal comfort in a room is calculated. The height of the room is changed and the energy loss of the room is calculated for both systems. Results showed that as the height doubles, the wall heat loss for radiator system almost doubles but for the floor heating system it was about 60 percent. This impressive result can recommend the floor heating systems for working areas with tall ceilings.

Introduction: the systems of thermal effects on thermo-dependent, viscous and highly viscous liquids under conditions of the Arctic and the Extreme North are considered. Low efficiency and danger of heating systems based on burned hydrocarbons, heated liquids and steam are shown. Electrothermal heating systems used to maintain thermo-dependent fluids in a fluid state are considered. The evaluation of the effectiveness of the application of the most common electrothermal system — heating cables (tapes). The most effective electrothermal system based on induction technologies has been determined. Materials and methods: considered methods of thermal exposure to maintain the fluid properties of thermo-dependent fluids at low extreme temperatures. Results: presents an induction heating system and options for its implementation in the Extreme North and the Arctic. Conclusions: induction heating system to minimize loss of product quality, improve the system performance under changing process conditions, eliminate fire product, to reduce the influence of the human factor.

The article presents the results of testing the complex methodology of assessment of quality of electronic books exhibitions (EBE). The author describes the project of the expert system, allowing to implement the EBE assessment without the experts’ participation. There is given the comparison of the results of assessments, carried out by experts and by the expert system.

Relevance. Endometriosis is a common gynecological disease that affects up to 10% of women of reproductive age worldwide and is the main cause of pain and infertility. Endometriosis is a disease, although it has been known for a long time, nevertheless, in many ways it represents terra incognita for modern medicine. Aim. Analysis of literature on the feasibility of long-term and the use of the drug dienogest 2 mg (Vizanne), which has a positive effect on the quality of life of patients with endometriosis. Materials and methods. To write this review, a search was made for domestic and foreign publications in Russian and international search engines (PubMed, eLibrary, etc.) over the past 13 years. The review included articles from peer-reviewed literature. Results. The review presents data on the difficulties of verifying the diagnosis of endometriosis due to a combination of this pathology with pain, infertility, abnormal uterine bleeding. The pathogenesis of the origin of endometriosis-associated pain is presented. The efficacy of the use of the drug dienogest (Vizanne), which has a powerful antiproliferative effect that reduces the main symptoms of endometriosis (pain, bleeding), is substantiated. The expediency of long-term and safe use of the drug dienogest (Vizanne), which has a positive effect on the quality of life of patients with endometriosis, has been proved. Conclusions. Numerous scientific publications confirm the feasibility of prolonged use of the drug dienogest (Vizanne), to achieve remission during endometriosis.

Entrepreneurship of principals in the educational environment to enhance students' creative behavior and achievements through innovation and the development of learning methods is very important. The principal has the task of managing resources and taking advantage of opportunities in improving the quality of education. This study aims to discuss the significant variables in increasing entrepreneurship principals. The study uses a quantitative approach with path analysis. The research sample was 334 Principals of Kindergarten, Elementary, Middle and High Schools in Central Java Province. Data collection was carried out by studying documentation and questionnaires. Data analysis was performed by path analysis with the AMOS program. The results showed that the rank and tenure as a teacher had a positive and significant effect on the tenure as a principal. While the use of social media has a significant negative effect. Of the various independent variables observed, only the existence of opportunities that had a significant positive effect on the ability of innovation of the principal. While the variables that significantly influence the development of learning methods are the ability of innovation and the presence of opportunities. The development of learning methods and the existence of opportunities will subsequently have a positive effect on improving student achievement, as the ultimate goal of developing entrepreneurship by the principal. Pathways to improve the entrepreneurship of principals are the existence of opportunities, tenure as principal, innovation and the development of instructional media. Keywords: Entrepreneurship, Principal, Inovation. Creativity,
