The construction of the Primorsky No. 1 and No. 2 international transport corridors is of great strategic significance to China and Russia. These corridors will solve the problem of the absence of an estuary in Northeast China by sailing from Russian ports and concurrently greatly improve Russia’s position in the world’s transport system. However, existing research studies mainly focus on the strategic significance of these corridors, while research studies on the identification, evaluation, and mitigation policies of their construction risks are rare, which inhibits the construction progress. To promote the construction of these corridors, we firstly identify the main risks in the construction of these corridors, which are economic, transport infrastructure-related, policy-related, eco-environmental, and disaster-related risks. Then, we establish a comprehensive evaluation system, and by applying the entropy method, we quantitatively evaluate the degrees of risks in regions along the transport corridors, reveal their spatial distribution patterns, and identify the key prevention and control regions for these risks. Afterwards, we propose targeted mitigation policies such as establishing innovative cooperation modes and a special foundation to mitigate economic risk and formulate further regional development policies to mitigate policy-related risk. This research will provide scientific support for risk prevention and control for the construction of these corridors.

The study designs a comprehensive evaluation system for the prevention and control of occupational hazards, calculates its weight coefficient, and provides a potential strategic and effective tool for the scientific evaluation of occupational hazards in the iron and steel enterprises. The system was established through induction and analysis of relevant literature, personal interview, theoretical analysis, Delphi expert consultation, and special group discussions. Using an improved analytical hierarchy process fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model and on the basis of the improved Delphi expert investigation, the weight of the operability comprehensive evaluation index system is constructed. A three-level index system is established on the basis of harmful factors of occupational activities, health status of employees, protection facilities of occupational hazards, occupational health management, and so on. The index system structure is 4-20-95, and the weight coefficients of the four dimensions are 0.2516, 0.2428, 0.2550, and 0.2506. The recovery rate of the questionnaire was 82.5%, 100.0%, and 100.0%. The effective rates were 75.0%, 100.0%, and 100.0%. Conversely, the expert authority coefficients of the four dimensions are 0.875, 0.769, 0.832 and 0.800. Results show that the consistency factors of the four dimensions are statistically significant. Cronbach’s α coefficient, standardized Cronbach’s α coefficient, and split-half reliability of the comprehensive evaluation index system are 0.959, 0.950, and 0.810, respectively. After factor analysis, four common factors were extracted on the basis of expert opinions, and the cumulative variance was 63.1%. The comprehensive evaluation system for the prevention and control of occupational hazards in the iron and steel enterprises proposed by the study is relatively complete and reasonable.

In order to cope with air pollution, China has formulated Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei cooperative supervision mechanism on air pollution prevention and control. Nevertheless, after several years’ effort, the air quality has improved significantly but far from reaching people’s needs. To improve the supervision strategies for meeting a better supervision and treatment effect, this paper will evaluate the effect of the cooperative supervision on air pollution and control in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and give several advices on the improvement of existing supervision method through results analyzation. Firstly, a comprehensive evaluation criteria system is established. Then a novel method of determining weight is firstly proposed in this paper, -fuzzy measure and AHP are used for determining weights which can not only consider the correlation among criteria but also take care of the will of the decision-makers. Finally, we obtain the evaluation ranking results by Fuzzy comprehensive evaluation combined with Cloud model and several advice is proposed. In general, the model can provide reference for monitoring and evaluating the effect of supervision on air pollution prevention and control in other regions and the results analysis provide a great reference to the decision makers to optimize the cooperative supervision in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei.

Healthcare-Associated Infections (HAIs) are infections that patients get while undergoing treatment and medical procedures in the hospital or other healthcare facilities after more than 48 hours. Improving the quality of hand hygiene practices can reduce pathogen transmission that causes HAIs. Infection and Prevention Control Nurses (IPCNs) as the pioneers of infection prevention and control should play an active role in cultivating hand hygiene in the hospital environment. Unfortunately, until the present time, there is evidence that IPCNs have not played their roles optimally in making hand hygiene a culture in the hospital. This study aimed to explore the experiences of IPCNs in cultivating hand hygiene at the inpatient wards in a regional hospital in Semarang, Indonesia. This study used a qualitative research design with a phenomenological approach. The samples were recruited using purposive sampling technique, consisting of three IPCNs as the main participants, and one Infection Prevention and Control Officer (IPCO) and three Infection Prevention and Control Link Nurses (IPCLNs) as the triangulation participants. Data were collected using semi-structured in-depth interviews and analyzed using the content analysis. The results revealed two themes. First, the appropriate education implementation and its documentation are important to provide an adequate understanding of medical and non-medical staffs, patients and families so that they are willing to perform hand hygiene properly. Second, the implementation of hand hygiene requires complete infrastructures and facilities, proper monitoring and evaluation system, as well as appropriate role models and motivation so that hand hygiene can become a positive culture. This study concludes that IPCNs have positive and negative experiences while trying to cultivate hand hygiene. IPCNs understand and agree that their ability to provide proper education and sensitivity to the factors affecting the implementation of hand hygiene can improve the people’s understanding and compliance with hand hygiene. In the end, hand hygiene will eventually become one of the positive cultures in the hospitals.

Keywords: IPCNs, hand hygiene
