The current development of energy management services is stimulated by a series of factors that are both external and industry-specific. One important external factor is the pressure coming from legal provisions in favour of sustainable development. This qualitative, descriptive research is focused on an international group with a strategic orientation to sustainability. The aim is to analyse the strategic changes of several group members over a period of 15 years (2004–2019) in order to identify their entrepreneurial behaviour (EB), contributing to scarce literature on EB of sustainability-oriented SMEs—medium-sized enterprises, in particular. The methodological approach included both secondary and primary research (direct observation and in-house interviews). The results match the research objectives and research questions in that they are able to identify different types and degrees of enterprise EB (EEB). The findings demonstrated here support a proposed finer EEB typology: independent EEB and induced EEB. Besides the natural limitations of the research (only comprising companies of a group and single industry), the main limitation of the study is its pre-pandemic characteristic, which is also a challenging research opportunity for further post-pandemic studies on EEB. The promising results of this exploratory research on EEB and novel EEB typology proposed should also be tested in more industries. The research results are useful for scholars, company managers, and entrepreneurs as well as for strategists involved in designing sustainable development policies.

This study aims to describe teachers perception on the implementation of sustainable development-based learning in chemistry, physics and biology subjects. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. The subjects of the research are the chemistry, physics and biology teachers in nine provinces. The data was collected by using interview sheets, questionnaire and observation sheets. According to the analysis data, the result shows that the term sustainable development is still considered foreign by 77,7% of the teachers, the implementation of sustainable development-based learning can be carried out in very good category by 55.5% of the teachers and in good category by 44,44% of the teachers, and 33.3% of teachers have difficulties in implementing sustainable development-based learning. Other results also show that the concept of sustainable development allows it to be applied in all three subjects with the characteristics of the material relating to the environment.

This study aimed to analyze the knowledge of nursing auxiliaries and technicians in handling and disposing of piercing-cutting material and describe their performance. This qualitative-descriptive research was carried out with three nursing auxiliaries and 12 technicians at a medium-size hospital, totaling 15 participants interviewed through a semi-structured script. Discourse was analyzed through the content analysis technique. Results appoint that, even though the participants have theoretical knowledge on the management of piercing-cutting material, they do not totally follow their knowledge, which exposes them to several biological risks, revealing reproductive knowledge and performance. Thus, we propose the implementation of continuing education programs based on constructivist methodological approach aiming at effective practices in the management and disposal of piercing-cutting material. In this perspective, research clarifying how adults apprehend knowledge can deepen the results described in the study.

Background: The article discusses whether global governance is effective enough to uphold the economic development and can it combat poverty to achieve Sustainable Development Goal One (SDG 1) in Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa (BRICS). It is an area that is least researched in the domain of global governance.Aim: This article focuses on the SDGs as part of global goals and investigates the implementation status of SDG 1 (no poverty) in BRICS countries.Setting: The research is descriptive in nature that played an important role in developing an in-depth account of the status of SDG 1 in BRICS.Methods: The article employed a qualitative, descriptive research method. This article, which is theoretical in nature, drew its arguments on secondary data, which included books, journal articles, newspaper clippings, internet sources and official documents.Results: The findings confirm that global governance cannot be successful completely until it deals with aspects of legitimacy and representation.Conclusion: From the literature reviewed, it can be deduced that BRICS is not in a position to achieve SDG 1 on absolute terms.

This qualitative descriptive research was trying to find the basic differences of national curriculum of primary and secondary school in Indonesia since 1968 until 2006. It was a library research, and conducted on September 2007 in Jakarta. The observed differences were curriculum design, methodological approach, and evaluation. One of factors of curriculum change was the differences of angle to see the education itself. The differences of curriculum design and methodological approach were structure of contents and the ways to implement the instructional in classes. Meanwhile, the differences of evaluation were the existence of instrument of evaluation and the way to evaluate the student’s instructional process and results.

This article aims to uncover and analyze the achievement of objectives, accuracy of objectives, satisfaction, and success of rural agribusiness development programs in empowering the poor in the Pesisir Selatan, West Sumatera. This is a qualitative descriptive research type. A few poor communities are respondents of this research. Interview, observation and documentation use as data collection techniques. The results showed that the rural agribusiness development program has not been able to help the community as a whole because there are combinations of farmer groups that have been effective and there is a combination of farmer groups that have not been effective. Effective farmer group combinations are evidenced by increasing income, group members, and assets. While the combination of farmer groups that have not been effective is marked by community mentality that is difficult to change bad habit in using money for ineffective purposes. It is concluded that rural agribusiness development programs has not been succeed in empowering Pesisir Selatan community. The implication is poor community should be given more intensive community empowerment by government through more effective strategies.

ResumoO projeto político-pedagógico (PPP), no âmbito educacional, caracteriza-se como um instrumento da gestão democrática que deve ser construído coletivamente com a comunidade escolar, com o intuito de buscar, de forma constante e ininterrupta, a melhoria da qualidade da educação na escola. Baseado nesse enfoque, este estudo tem por objetivo demonstrar a realidade da gestão escolar democrática, no que se refere à elaboração dos PPP, nas escolas públicas do Rio Grande do Sul (RS). Para isso, utilizou-se o levantamento de respostas a uma indagação como procedimento técnico-metodológico nesta pesquisa qualitativa de natureza descritiva, a qual se apoia em dados quantitativos. A análise dos dados coletados, no universo de pesquisa, mostra um elevado percentual de não participantes da (re)construção dos PPPs. Evidencia-se, portanto, a imperiosa necessidade de se criar uma cultura de participação da comunidade escolar nas decisões que definam bons rumos à educação, a fim de que haja uma quebra de paradigma, no sentido de realizar uma verdadeira gestão democrática na escola.Palavras-chave: Projeto político-pedagógico. Educação.The (re)construction of political-pedagogical project: under focus, the participation of the teachers AbstractThe political-pedagogical project (PPP), in the educational context, is characterized as an instrument of democratic management that should be built collectively in order to seek, constant and uninterrupted, improving of the quality of education in school. Based on this approach, this study aims to demonstrate the reality of democratic school management, with regard to the preparation of the PPPs, in the public schools of Rio Grande do Sul (RS). For this, the survey responses to a question was used, such as technical-methodological approach, this qualitative descriptive research that relies on quantitative data. The analysis of the collected data, in the universe of research, indicate a very high percentage of non-participants of the (re)construction of PPP. It is evident, therefore, the urgent need to create a culture of participation of the school community in decisions that define good paths to education, so that there is a paradigm shift in order to achieve a true democratic management in the school.Keywords: Political-pedagogical project. The purpose of this study was to determine the formulation of innovation "Besuk Kiamat"  Population and Civil Registration Office Surakarta City. Data analysis techniques used in this research is triangulation with qualitative descriptive research. The results showed that 1) The creation of the idea originated from the lack of public awareness of the importance of the death certificate, 2) Experiments were done at 5 (five) sub district as a pilot project, 5 (five) sub districtlisted as densely populated areas and prove worthy tested, 3) Determining the feasibility of innovation "Besuk Kiamat" has been carried out by LAN via Drum Up, Diagnose, Design, Delivery and Display, 4) Implementation is done in order to realize accurate data for sustainable development.

This study aimed to describe the value of cohesion and coherence contained in the translation of the Qur'an surah Al Zalzalah. This study was a qualitative descriptive research, research data collection techniques using three techniques namely, inventory, rading and understanding, and record keeping. The data analysis used the coding of data, classification data, and the determination of the data. The results showed that the cohesion markers used in the translation of surah Al Zalzalah discourse are: 1) reference, 2) pronouns, ie pronouns second person, and third, the relative pronoun, the pronoun pointer, pen pronouns and pronouns owner, 3 ) conjunctions, namely temporal conjunctions, coordinating conjunctions, subordinating conjunctions, and conjunctions koorelatif, and 4) a causal ellipsis. It mean that there was a coherence in the translation of surah Al Zalzalah discourse are: the addition or addition, pronouns, repetition or repetition, match words or synonyms, in whole or in part, a comparison or ratio of conclusions or results. Keywords: Cohesion, Coherence, sura Al Zalzalah AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nilai kohesi dan koherensi yang terdapat dalam terjemahan Al-Qur’an surah Al Zalzalah. Jenis penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian menggunakan tiga teknik yakni, inventarisasi, baca simak, dan pencatatan. Teknik analisis data menggunakan pengodean data, pengklasifikasian data, dan penentuan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemarkah kohesi yang digunakan dalam wacana terjemahan surah Al Zalzalah adalah: 1) referensi, 2) pronomina, yaitu kata ganti orang kedua, dan ketiga, kata ganti penghubung, kata ganti penunjuk, kata ganti penanya dan kata ganti empunya, 3) konjungsi, yaitu konjungsi temporal, konjungsi koordinatif, konjungsi subordinatif, dan konjungsi koorelatif, dan 4) elipsis kausal. Sarana koherensi yang terdapat di dalam wacana terjemahan surah Al Zalzalah adalah: penambahan atau adisi, pronomina, pengulangan atau repetisi, padan kata atau sinonim, keseluruhan atau bagian, komparasi atau perbandingan simpulan atau hasil.Kata Kunci: Kohesi, Koherensi, surah Al Zalzalah

The scientific and methodological approach to the evaluation and analysis of the efficiency of system management by innovation factors for sustainable development of national economy from the point of view satisfaction vital interest’s population is developed. This is the calculation of the modernized index human development based on the adjective model based on 26 indicators (social, economic and environmental subsystems), as well as using the methods of the main components and the slip matrix. The resultant value is the modernized Human Development Index (MHDІ) of Ukraine. The architectonics MHDІ of Ukraine in 2007–2017 from the position of sub-indices of the ecological, social and economic subsystems is analyzed. Consequently, the scientific and methodological approach based on the MHDI change allows us to draw conclusions regarding the effectiveness of the work and public administration bodies in the context of making managerial decisions regarding the satisfaction of the vital interest’s population. MHDI considers the main regulated parameter of the system management in the innovation factors of sustainable development in socially oriented economy. The tendency of steady decline MHDI of Ukraine in 2007–2017 on 53.45 % was confirmed, which confirms inefficient state regulation of crisis situations in Ukraine. In order to increase the efficiency management of innovative factors by sustainable development of the national economy, from the standpoint of satisfaction vital interest’s population, it is proposed to intensify the use of public debt and savings bonds, market and non-market methods of relief and debt load. This is due to the fact that at the current stage of development in the national economy, public external debt is one of the most significant indicators of the state economy. It is at the same time a criterion for the effectiveness of public financial policy, as well as a threat and opportunity for the Ukrainian economy. In order to optimize its size, various methods, approaches, tools are used. Based on the analysis of world experience, it has been established that the securities market, in particular debt securities, plays a strategic role in regulating this issue. Therefore, it makes sense to recommend government debt bonds and government savings bonds to optimize the amount of external public debt.

The presented study examines the concepts of “environmental marketing” and “environmental product”. The study attempts to conceptualize these terms in Russian language with allowance for the concept of sustainable development and the principles of the circular economy.Aim. The study aims to develop the conceptual foundations of environmental marketing and its derivative — environmental product, laying the groundwork for future research in specifying the concepts of “environmental marketing” and “environmental product”.Tasks. The authors examine the current state of environmental marketing and environmental product in Russia in terms of legislation and market practices; analyze the evolution of these concepts in foreign and Russian publications; systematize experience in this field; provide an original conceptualization of these terms; operationalize their key characteristics and features.Methods. This study is based on qualitative empirical research using such methods as content analysis, synthesis, formalization, and systematization. The theoretical and methodological approach of the study is based on the works of foreign and Russian scientists in the field of environmental marketing, the “green” approach to the promotion of goods, and sustainable enterprise development.Results. A research gap in the conceptualization of “environmental marketing” and “environmental product” in Russian language is identified. The authors provide an original interpretation of these concepts with allowance for the principles of sustainable development and “green” promotion.Conclusions. This study serves to elaborate on the scientific meaning of the concept of “environmental friendliness” applicable in marketing, changing the trend of the increasing number of products that fall under the definition of greenwashing. The published materials can be useful for environmental consultants, marketers, and representatives of legislative authorities in certifying products according to environmental standards.
