This attitude needs to be emphasized by noting that a Christian leader is an individual who has been redeemed by God, by whom he must be sure that he is called by God to assume the responsibility given. In writing this scientific paper, the writer uses the research method namely: The author obtains data through library research that is the writing books and lecture dictates. In an attempt to learn from COVID-19, this essay features six responses to the question: what did COVID-19 teach us, expose in us, or purge out of us when it comes to spiritual formation in Christ? Each response was written independently of the others by one of the coauthors. Diane J. Chandler focuses in on how COVID-19 exposed grievous inequities for ethnic groups in the American church and broader society. Kelly M. Kapic reminds us of the goodness of human finitude and how COVID restrictions have forced many of us to embrace our limitations. Siang-Yang Tan reflects on eight lessons he has learned during this pandemic year in his role shepherding a local church. James C. Wilhoit calls us to consider the structures that are needed for local church leadership to make wise and godly decisions in times of crisis. Richard Peace draws our attention to what might be learned from the forced monasticism brought about by COVID-19 quarantines. Finally, Ruth Haley Barton pauses to consider the interdependence of human life that has been dramatically illustrated by this pandemic. While these six responses certainly do not exhaust all there is for the church to learn from COVID, we present them in the spirit of “O Lord, teach us what we do not see” and hope they will inspire your own reflections.

Abstract: Medellin 1968 was a time of grace, an eruption of the Spirit for Latin America.  It was a creative reception of the Vatican II by the local Latin-American Church that perceived in the outcry of the poor a sign of the times. In Medellin, Pope John XXIII’s wish – that the face of the conciliar Church be that of the Church of the poor – was finally concretized. This was a wish that the naturally very Centro-European Vatican II was unable to fulfil. Keywords: Vatican II; Local church; Signs of the times; Poor; Justice.

Abstract: Patriarchy culture has strongly influenced the Christianity on marginalizing women, especially limiting women's leadership in the church. Biblical theorems and the church fathers' views that subordinate women are also used as reasons to perpetuate male power in the church. Women are not only blamed for being considered the origin of sin, but also seen as weak, inferior, lustful, more emotional, and less rational than men. Although the Bible also records that there were women who became apostles and leaders, but this fact did not necessarily undermine the patriarchy culture in the church. Based on that, the author criticizes the patriarchy culture in the church and reconstructs a model of church leadership that sides with women. In this article, the author proposes a church without a pulpit as a feminist ecclesial leadership model with several concepts, namely (1) the church is women and women are the church; (2) the church as a common space; (3) the church as a space for friendship; and (4) the church as a space for sharing.   Keywords: leadership, women, feminist, ecclesiology.

e panorama of the Council’s thinking about the universal apostolate, sketchedout in brief, is increasingly becoming the property of the people of God: it permeatesthe minds and hearts, is reflected in the practice of daily life, in the initiativesand apostolic undertakings taken, in the way of thinking and acting. It wouldbe difficult to say, of course, what the actual state of current apostolic activityin the Church is, if we had separate sociological studies. Nevertheless, it shouldbe stated and strongly emphasised that the pioneering suggestions of VincenzoPalottis, enriched by the experience and reflections of future generations, thecontributions of Newman, Perrone and others, deepened and adapted accordingto the demands of the times by the Second Vatican Council, have already becomea lasting heritage and property of the whole people of God, who are becomingincreasingly more aware that they are by their very nature, and therefore mustbe in practice, a people who are eminently apostolic.

How did the clerical leadership of the church in Poland and Prussia respond to the early Reformation? This chapter shows that paradoxical but ultimately ‘lax’ policy towards Lutheranism was not just a feature of royal government in this monarchy, but one also shared by the local church. Polish bishops issued fierce statutes against heresy, and their clergy wrote anti-Lutheran polemics, but the reality behind this rhetoric was rather different. Of the sixty or so individuals tried by church courts for Lutheranism, 90 per cent went unpunished. Being ‘of the Lutheran sect’ was treated as a minor misdemeanour; by contrast, fornicating clergy went to jail. Polish bishops preferred to convert Lutherans in private, and much local polemic was irenic. A minority of clergy found such ‘toleration’ reprehensible, but the Polish church leadership joined with Sigismund I in seeing Lutherans as people in theological error, but not an Other requiring urgent persecution.

Basic shape is one of the most important components of the learning design process. Using Western design thinking to understand shape, color and composition layout and attempting to reinterpret the application of traditional calligraphy from a design point of view—whether it is the expression of form or the meaning of content—are both important aspects of design thinking. The writing patterns of traditional calligraphy and the design creation of modern experiments may have different biases. If the artistic value of "the brush and ink of the time" is compared to the science and technology of innovation as the main appeal, the expressiveness of the traditional writing mode is obviously difficult to achieve. Using science and technology as an option for design creation is a difficult way to proceed; however, technology, ideas and thinking can still be in sync with the cultural issues of an entire era. This is also the test of the times to which contemporary creations are subjected. There are infinite possibilities for development, and it is worthwhile to explore these possibilities together with artistic aspirants. On the other hand, if we follow the well-beaten path of the status quo, the creativity of traditional calligraphic art will wither, it will deviate from the larger environment of the era in which it operates, and it will inevitably be neglected and pushed out by other art categories. The design and creation process uses the traditional calligraphy characters and drums as the theme, assisted by digital tools in the creation, and finally transforms the traditional calligraphy visual form into an expression of the art of science and technology.
