Education must be returned to its original khittah, that is, to humanize man with all the potential he has. In this framework, important efforts in the of Islamic liberation must be the spirit and foundation of ontological, epistemological as well as axiological education. Among the contemporary Islamic thoughts that give awareness that Islam has the power of liberation is the Asghar Ali Engineer which is derived primarily from the Qur'an and Sunnah. This finding can interpret the doctrine of Islam as a religion of liberation in education that weighs from the thoughts of Asghar Ali Engineer who has relevance and urgency. The results of this study explain about alternative solutions to the problems Islamic education in the era of globalization, namely: 1) greater attention to the reality of living in the world, can be used as a foundation for compiling the Islamic education curriculum. 2) Fight against the pro status quo. Islamic education should be based on the spirit of respecting humans as beings thinking, conscious, potentially and equipped with the right to determine their own life choices. 3) Side with marginalized communities and encourage them to actively participate. 4) Liberation theology emphasizes on the problem of praxis rather than on abstract-speculative thoughts. So that the nuances of Islamic education are quite felt is the pressure on the rational, intellectual, ethical aspects, very few that enter the applied area, skills or technology as one of the meanings that can be taken from the spirit of Islamic liberation theology.

The model of community education in the form of the prophet Muhammad is community education modeled on the ways of education carried out by the prophet Muhammad SAW. Among the models of the prophet Muhammad SAW education. namely the development of Islamic education, curriculum, materials, methods, institutions, guidance during the time of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. Alternative solutions for social life in Indonesia include Indonesian education that must be designed in such a way as to enable students to develop their potential naturally and creatively in an atmosphere of freedom, togetherness, and responsibility. In addition, education must produce graduates who can understand their community with all the factors that can support success or obstacles that cause failure in social life. One alternative that can be done is to develop an education model of the Prophet Muhammad SAW.

This article discusses the problem of Islamic education from a theological and sociological point of view. The emergence of normative and verbalist Islamic education curriculum distorts the universality of Islam. Islam that is contextual in space and time, always in contact with sociological aspects, should be understood as something that can change its partiality dynamics continuously, even though there is a universal thing that is maintained as a normative belief. On the other hand, the failure of education to produce educational output that is dignified and virtuous has caused some people to distrust the world of education in developing the character and ethics of children. The vote of disbelief is getting stronger with the emergence of the National curriculum model which gives a greater portion of general subjects than religious subjects. This paper is a criticism of the development of the world of education in Indonesia, with the hope that education stakeholders make changes to the education system and the applicable curriculum.

Human sensory processes are well understood: hearing, seeing, perhaps even tasting and touch—but we do not understand smell—the elusive sense. That is, for the others we know what stimuli causes what response, and why and how. These fundamental questions are not answered within the sphere of smell science; we do not know what it is about a molecule that … smells. I report, here, the status quo theories for olfaction, highlighting what we do not know, and explaining why dismissing the perception of the input as ‘too subjective’ acts as a roadblock not conducive to scientific inquiry. I outline the current and new theory that conjectures a mechanism for signal transduction based on quantum mechanical phenomena, dubbed the ‘swipe card’, which is perhaps controversial but feasible. I show that such lines of thinking may answer some questions, or at least pose the right questions. Most importantly, I draw links and comparisons as to how better understanding of how small (10’s of atoms) molecules can interact so specially with large (10 000’s of atoms) proteins in a way that is so integral to healthy living. Repercussions of this work are not just important in understanding a basic scientific tool used by us all, but often taken for granted, it is also a step closer to understanding generic mechanisms between drug and receptor, for example.

Education for children with special needs began to change on the basis of diversity and the fulfillment of the right to obtain an education and an inclusive education. Inclusive educators enforce learning in the same learning environment for each student, for regular students or students with special needs, including for slow learners. This qualitative descriptive research was conducted with the intention of knowing the implementation of Islamic Religious Education curriculum in the setting of inclusive education, namely at SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Godean. The research subjects were obtained through purposive sampling method, with research data obtained through observation methods, interviews and documentation. Data analysis is carried out through several procedures, namely data reduction, data presentation, verification and data validity test using triangulation techniques. The results showed that Islamic Education learning was carried out in regular full inclusion classes using a modified regular curriculum for slow leaner students.  Learning Islamic Religious Education SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Godean faced several separate problems such as the un availability of Special Companion Teachers and differences in characteristics of each student, both regular students and special needs. Social pressure on increased protection and welfare of animals results mainly from the initiative of people living in the urbanized parts of the world. The respect for the right to freedom of religion, which is indisputably one of the fundamental liberal rights, must be taken into account. The right to freedom to religion also includes the right to follow a religion’s dietary recommendations. The aim of the literature analysis was to systematize the knowledge on the ethical aspects and quality of meat obtained from carcasses of animals subjected to conventional and ritual slaughter. Consistent with the importance of ritual slaughter for humans of two major faiths (Islam and Judaism), it is important that scientists be objective when evaluating these practices from an animal welfare and meat quality point of view. To evaluate the welfare of the slaughtered animal, it is necessary to openly discuss ritual slaughter and the improvement of its methods. The quality of meat and the degree of bleeding of animals do not always correlate with the ritual slaughter method used.

Leadership is a process of someone to influence other people in a group through a communication process to achieve a determined goal or target. Islamic education is a process of educating, guiding, and shaping children's personalities in accordance with Islamic teachings to be noble. Islamic education is also taught by parents to their children from the time they were born to adulthood to equip them while in the world and in the hereafter. The basics of Islamic education are sourced from the Qur'an and Sunnah Rasul which can be developed with ijtihad. The purpose of Islamic education is to form a human who is fearful of Allah SWT, by fearing Him then having a noble attitude, personality and character. Leadership in Islamic education plays a role an important for school residents. Leadership in Islamic education influences teachers to guide, educate, and motivate their students to achieve their goals and ideals. Educational leadership will be achieved well in carrying out its duties, must emulate the noble characteristics of the prophet, that is: sidq, amanah, tabligh, fathonah. Characteristics of quality leadership in Islamic education, that is: happy to get along with others, avoid false professionalism, are good at managing change, are good at choosing people, avoid doing everything themselves, and not be afraid of failure. The right leadership model in Islamic education is the situational leadership model and spiritual leadership model.

Whatever its grammatical status, the verb “to discern” has an implicit transitive element. That is to say, we always discern about something or between two options. What is the right course of action in this situation and in these circumstances? In our paper, we want to look at responses to this question from the perspective of the theology of liberation. As the name implies, this is first and foremost a theology, a way of seeking to understand and articulate the faith of the believing Christian community. But it is also necessarily political, because it seeks to contribute to the liberation of those who are not free – the poor, the oppressed, those to whom injustice is done, both negatively, by decrying the presence of unfreedom and positively by working for social transformation. It is thus a public theology, a manifestation of the ongoing power of religion to inform and motivate its adherents to engage in attempts to transform the world not only in terms of a post mortem future but here and now.

In today’s Indonesia, the Arabic language is not very popular among the population. Even though Indonesia is the most populous Muslim country in the world, Muslims in Indonesia tend to have this “neglection” feeling on the importance of learning the Arabic language. This feeling is caused by the rise of bad sentiment towards Islam and Arab in the world particularly in the west which also influenced Indonesians mindset. The dichotomy which stated the Arabic language as a backward language and the terrorist language further escalate this unpopularity which creates the discouragement of the citizen to learn Arabic by the popular opinion. The problem which has been stated could be solved by further examining Islamic education curriculum especially the Arabic language to be more relevant with the modern world. Seeing the fact that the Arabic language is not a popular subject to be learned, then teaching it should further be with the way that is familiar to the student and easy-going. The Arabic language should be taught with soft and aural-oral approach. Soft approach means that it should be taught casually, while aural-oral approach means that the Arabic language should firstly be taught with conversation style teaching that emphasizes in speaking and understanding of the word and its roots. This study shall examine the problem stated above and the reason why soft and aural-oral approach should be used. it is hoped that by examining this approach, the soft and aural-oral approach could be implemented in the Arabic language classes in Indonesia.

The Spread of the Western feminism movement in parts of the world including Indonesia has had a fairly risky impact on Indonesian society, especially among women. The influence of western feminism is the equalization of positions between men and women in all respects so that not women in Indonesia forget their nature as women both when they become daughters, wives, and mothers so that this often leads to conflict in the family that are contrary to Islamic teachings. This article aims to find the real concept of feminism in Islam. To obtain answers to these problems, the researchers used literature studies namely reviewing various scientific articles related to Western and Islamic feminism as well as reciting verses from the Quran related to equality of men and women. The result obtained from the study stated that the concept of feminism in Islam aims to make women knowledgeable and insightful and not narrow their space of movement. But not just standing alone without needing a partner or a man. Both are creatures of Allah who need each other and were created to perfect each other. In Islam, the nature of men and women is different and there is a nature that can only be done by men or women. Therefore, feminism in Islam only demands equality of rights such as the right to study, the right to work, and the right to a career, not demanding gender equality.
