Nowadays, various ideologies that are pro and contra to nationalism have begun to grow and develop. This nationalism cannot be separated from faith and religion. This is evidenced by the explanation of several verses of the al-Qur'an explicitly discussing nationalism. This study aims to describe the general representative of nationalism according to Ahmad Musthofa al-Maraghi. In this study, using a qualitative approach with the type of literature review, namely by using a thematic method that is descriptive analysis. In collecting data, this research will rely entirely on the interpretation of al-Maraghi by Ahmad Musthofa Al-Maraghi, as the primary source of books, research journals as secondary sources, which are relevant to this research. The results of this study indicate that the general representation of nationalism according to Ahmad musthafa al-Maraghi in (QS. Al-Anbiya; 92), (QS. Al-A'raf: 160), (QS. Al-Baqarah: 144) is a constructive nationalism. spirit of nationalism by upholding all kinds of regulations for the sake of advancing the nation. There are at least three equal principles so that nationalism does not conflict with the Koran and Islamic syaria. Namely nationalism in the form of unity, the grouping of humans based on descent by maintaining their integrity, as well as love for the homeland

The rise of Sufism shows a new existence in Indonesia. Sufism is not only understood as Sufi teachings and traditional institutions (tarekat). A new passion in Sufism in Indonesia has been seen in cities and among the middle classes. Howell’s research shows the rise of Sufism promoted in two ways (1) ‘Ulamas who come from traditional Islamic education and taught their followers in formal education classes and (2) Television preachers who create their programs and regulate and dramatize it in for the television viewers. New nuances by grounding Sufistic values are also carried out by the KH. Abdullah Gymnastiar who connects his spiritual experience with the world of Sufism, including preaching messages that refer to the teachings of Sufism. This research is a qualitative-field research. The primary source in this study is the da’wah message of KH. Abdullah Gymnastiar. Secondary sources refer to religious studies written in Abdullah Gymnastiar’s social media, book literature, journals/articles, or previous studies. This study uses descriptive analysis to read the da’wah message KH. Abdullah Gymnastiar in his lectures and studies. If placed in the development of the history of Sufism, seen from the character of its religious assembly, Aa Gym is included in the category of contemporary Sufism. However, when viewed from the contents of the principal teachings of moral values, related to the material of da’wah, the message expresed by Aa Gym is the teachings of moral science (ilmu Akhlaq). Broadly speaking, the message of da’wah is not classified as Sufism but religious spirituality which is moral because it contains moral teachings as a reform of morality that synergizes the values of physical and spiritual potential.[The rise of Sufism shows a new existence in Indonesia. All this time, jihad has been a popular term in Islam. It is used to motivate people in growing religious spirit related to psychosocial dimension. However, people define jihad in various meanings. Therefore, this study is aimed at identifying the various meanings of jihad based on numerous Arabic and Islamic contexts. Moreover, qualitative approach and descriptive analysis method are applied in this study. Several steps to conduct this study are classifying the data, analyzing the data, processing the data, concluding and writing the report. The primary source in this study is the word jihad and other related words in the perspective of morphology and semantics. Meanwhile, the secondary data in this study include journals, books, and academic studies on Arabic semantic and an analysis of its meaning.  There are some results found in this study. First, jihad is addressed personally, relating to worship to God. Second, jihad is defined as offensive and defensive, relating to dakwah. Third, jihad is captured simply in life and its modernity, relating to tasawwuf. Finally, jihad is describedas an action to avoid syirik, relating to akidah. ---Selama ini kata jihad sangat begitu populer di dunia Islam, dikatakan populer karena kata jihad tidak jarang dijadikan motivasi untuk menumbuhkan semangat keagamaan yang terkait dengan dimensi psikososial. Kata jihad muncul dalam ragam yang memiliki banyak makna. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi makna-makna yang berhubungan dengan kata jihad dalam berbagaimacam konteks bahasa Arab dan agama Islam. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif, dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif analisis. Metode tersebut berupaya menjawab permasalahan yang sedang dibahas dalam penelitian bahasa. Selanjutnya, langkah-langkah yang dilakukan adalah dimulai dengan klasifikasi data, analisis data, pengelolaan data dan terakhir membuat kesimpulan serta laporan hasil penelitian. Sumber utama dalam penelitian ini adalah kata jihad dan kata-kata yang memilki persamaan secara morfologis dan semantis degan kata jihad. Sedangkan sumber sekunder dalam penelitian ini adalah jurnal-jurnal, buku-buku, atau karya-karya ilmiah  yang berhubungan dengan semantik bahasa Arab dan medan makna. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini mencakup beberapa yang berhubungan dengan kata jihad. Pertama, kata jihad bermakna jihad kepada diri sendiri ketika satu kolokasi dengan kata ibadah. Kedua, kata jihad berarti opensif dan defensif ketika satu kolokasi dengan kata dakwah. Ketiga, kata jihad bermakna sederhana dalam kehidupan dunia dan modrnitas ketika satu kolokasi dengan kata tasawwuf. The purpose of this paper is to know the tabligh pattern applied by the Islamic Nurul Iman Bandung with elements contained in it’s religious activities. This research uses descriptive analysis method with qualitative approach. The data collected by observation and interview with related parties, such as chairman, secretary, preacher, and member in jamiyah organization Nurul Iman Bandung, and supported by literature review. The results showed that the pattern of tabligh in the organization Jamiyah Nurul Iman Bandung can be seen from the activities, material patterns, patterns of methods and communication patterns that occur in the activities tabligh Jamiyah Nurul Iman Bandung. Researchers found that communication in the activities of tabligh more invites and influences jama'ah to realize the messages of Islam submitted preachers through the actions of preachers and supported by activities tabligh within the organization Jamiyah Nurul Iman. Tujuan tulisan ini untuk mengetahui pola tabligh yang diterapkan oleh organisasi jamiyah Nurul Iman Kota Bandung melalui unsur-unsur yang terkandung dalam kegiatan-kegiatan keagamaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif, Data diperoleh melalui observasi dan wawancara dengan pihak terkait, seperti ketua, sekretaris, mubaligh, serta anggota dalam organisasi jamiyah Nurul Iman Kota Bandung, dan ditunjang oleh tinjauan pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pola tabligh dalam organisasi Jamiyah Nurul Iman Bandung dapat dilihat dari kegiatan, pola materi, pola metode serta pola komunikasi yang terjadi dalam aktivitas tabligh organisasi jamiyah Nurul Iman Kota Bandung. Peneliti menemukan bahwa, komunikasi dalam kegiatan tabligh lebih banyak mengajak serta mempengaruhi jama’ah untuk merealisasikan pesan-pesan keislaman yang disampaikan mubaligh melalui tindakan-tindakan yang dilakukan mubaligh serta didukung oleh kegiatan-kegiatan tabligh dalam organisasi Jamiyah Nurul Iman.

This study aims to obtain empirical data about academic supervision in improving teacher professionalism at Lhokseumawe State Vocational High School. Academic supervision must be based on data, objective facts. Academic supervision is routine work that supervisors must carry out because of a dynamic curriculum that requires improvement in both documentation and contextually in the field. The method in this research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis methods. The primary data sources of this study were obtained from direct interviews with informants consisting of school principals, teachers, and students, results from observations, and secondary sources obtained from various studies of documents, texts, and archives related to the implementation of Academic Supervision. The principal has carried out academic supervision in improving teacher professionalism, evidenced by the planning of supervision schedules, implementing, assessing the results of teacher performance using learning instruments prepared, and following up on the results of learning supervision. Supervision theory has been implemented well, one of which is directive supervision in learning and implementing initial meetings with teacher interviews carried out before implementing supervision.

This article aims to examine a book of Nadirsyah Hosen, an Indonesian diaspora in Australia, entitled Tafsir Al-Qur'an di Medsos. Hosen’s interpretation of the Quran is interesting because it is directly related to the actual political context in Indonesia. This study uses a descriptive analysis approach, making the book Tafsir Al-Qur'an di Medsos as the primary source and a number of other books, journals and credible news portals as the secondary sources. By taking five examples of Hosen’s interpretation, namely religious freedom, non-Muslim leadership, the terminology of kâfir, the KPU (Komisi Pemilihan Umum) verse, and the caliphate issue, this study finds that Hosen’s interpretation is a form of resistance to the dynamics and phenomena of contemporary Muslim diversity, especially in the Indonesian context. He interpreted the Quran in respose to the politicization of the scripture through social media platforms, especially in relation to the political situation in Indonesia. He attempts to advocate the relience on credible literature when doing tafsîr and that theverses of the Quran must be understood in a proper context. For example, in addressing the labelling of kâfir and kâfir leadership issue, he suggests that one cannot use it as an excuse to not choosing leaders from non-Muslims because Allah does not forbid Muslims to do good to non-Muslims according to al-Mumtaḥanah [60]: 8. He also identifies inaccuracy of accociating al-Nisâ’ [4]: 108 with the KPU, because the occasion of the revelation of the verse indicates the Quranic defense of an innocent Jew who trapped in a conspiracy from a Muslim.

This research takes the object of Sebening Syahadat by Diva SR, this work is a novel that tells the story of the journey ofa teenager named Sam who is in the process ofsearching for identity. The journey is filled with interesting twits and turns embelissed with a love story that is very suitable if consumed by the younger generation who are learning to find identit. This study aims to reveal the value motives that led Sam’s character in finding his identity, which expected to be a material for reflection for readers, especially young people who are in the process of discovering his identity, the scope of the problem in this study is to reveal the value motives that affect the character’s psyche. Sam is told to have a rascal character.The research method used in this study took a descriptive qualitative approach, data colletion used was a literature study technique with stages of reading, note taking, coding for futher analysis. The analysis technique used is qualitative descriptive analysis technique.The result of the research in this research process indicate that the mental process of Sam’s character influenced by several factors, including: a. Motives in cultural factors (Situasional Factors), b. The motive for love begins with admiration for the attitude of someone who is full of noble values of character, c. The motive of curiosity and fulfillment of his needs for true value.

This article discusses impact of UMNO-PAS political cooperation towards Islamic development in Malaysia from 1973 until 1978. The success of political cooperation in 1973 was the result of both UMNO’s leader, Tun Abdul Razak and PAS’s leader, Asri Muda willingness to explore a new political approach compared to what was being practiced at that time. Both leaders then started the development of a government known as the ‘Cooperation Government’ with the combination of UMNO and PAS in 1973 and later on, the development of the National Front’s (BN) Coalition Government in 1974. The Islamic religion benefits the most from the development of the Coalition Government which is a favourable gain for the Malays in Malaysia. Henceforth, this article will discuss in detail on the impact of the political cooperation between UMNO and PAS within the cooperation period. The methods used for this research is by interview and also by referring to secondary sources which are analyzed in a historical descriptive manner that is normally practiced in historical research. At the end of this research it is established that there are profound impacts to the Islamic religion within the UMNO-PAS cooperation period within 1973 to 1978 for example, the television and radio station beginning starting their programmes with the recitation from Quranic verses, the promulgation of ‘Adhan, alcohols are no longer served in official government’s function, lottery companies are not allowed to promote and announce the lottery results in official government’s media, the establishment of Islamic institution, the strengthening of Islamic education and the appropriate change in the relevant ministry’s symbols. This article can be utilized by subsequent researchers who wish to study the impact of political cooperation between UMNO and PAS. Keywords: political cooperation, UMNO-PAS, cooperation government ABTRAK:Makalah ini membincangkan mengenai impak kerjasama politik UMNO-PAS terhadap perkembangan Islam di Malaysia dari tahun 1973 hingga 1978. Kerjasama politik yang berjaya dibentuk bermula pada tahun 1973 adalah hasil daripada kesediaan Tun Abdul Razak dengan Mohd Asri Muda yang menerajui UMNO dan PAS pada ketika itu mencetuskan perubahan corak berpolitik yang berbeza berbanding sebelumnya. Maka, kedua-dua pemimpin ini kemudiannya merintis pembentukan sebuah kerajaan yang menggabungkan UMNO dengan PAS menerusi Kerajaan Campuran pada tahun 1973 dan Kerajaan Gabungan Barisan Nasional (BN) pada tahun 1974. Hasil daripada kejayaan penubuhan kedua-dua kerajaan ini, perkembangan Islam di negara ini bertambah pesat dan dapat dimanfaatkan oleh keseluruhan orang Melayu di Malaysia. Justeru, artikel ini membincangkan secara terperinci impak kerjasama politik antara UMNO dengan PAS dalam tempoh kerjasama politik berkenaan. Penyelidikan ini menggunapakai kaedah temubual dan menyorot sejumlah sumber sekunder yang kemudiannya dianalisis secara deskriptif sejarah (historical descriptive analysis) yang lazimnya dipraktikkan dalam kajian sejarah. Hasil kajian ini mendapati terdapat impak-impak jelas terhadap perkembangan Islam di negara ini sepanjang tempoh kerjasama politik antara UMNO dengan PAS dari tahun 1973 hingga 1978. Antara impak-impak tersebut ialah permulaan siaran televisyen dan radio dengan bacaan ayat-ayat suci Al-Quran, mengumandangkan suara azan, penghapusan arak dalam majlis-majlis kerajaan, penghapusan promosi dan keputusan judi di media kerajaan, penubuhan institusi Islam, pemerkasaan pendidikan Islam dan penukaran simbol institisu kerajaan. Akhirnya, artikel ini dapat dimanfaatkan oleh penyelidik-penyelidik berikutnya untuk menilai impak kerjasama politik antara UMNO dengan PAS.Kata kunci: kerjasama politik, UMNO-PAS, kerajaan campuran

Abstrak. Desa Trusmi merupakan sentra batik sekaligus kuliner di Kabupaten Cirebon. Banyaknya pemegang usaha di bidang produksi batik mengakibatkan persaingan dagang diwilayah tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunities, Threats)  di salah satu usaha batik milik H. Edi Baredi atau sering dikenal dengan EB Batik Tradisional melalui inkuri terbimbing. Analisis meliputi profil usaha, aspek produksi, aspek tenaga kerja, aspek pemasaran dan aspek keuangan. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskripstif analisis. Berdasarkan analisis internal dan eksternal analisis SWOT, strategi yang  dilakukan oleh EB Batik Tradisional yaitu menghindari kehilangan penjualan dan profit yang disebabkan banyaknya persaingan dagang di kawasan sentra batik Trusmi dengan munculnya inovasi baru. Penguatan karakter pada produksi batiknya dapat mengatasi pesaingan dagang dan menambah daya tarik pembeli. Kata Kunci: SWOT, Inkuiri Terbimbing, dan Kegiatan Ekonomi Abstract. Trusmi village is a center of batik as well as culinary in Cirebon Regency. A large number of business holders in the field of batik production has resulted in trade competition in the region. This study aims to analyze SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunities, Threats) in one of the batik business owned by H. Edi Baredi or often known as EB Traditional Batik through guided injury. The analysis includes the business profile, production aspects, labor aspects, marketing aspects, and financial aspects. This type of research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis method. Based on internal and external analysis of the SWOT analysis, the strategy carried out by EB Traditional Batik is to avoid losing sales and profits due to the high level of trade competition in the Trusmi batik center area with the emergence of innovations. Pengkalan Kuras, Langgam, Kuala Kampar, and Bunut Subdistrict, Pelalawan Regency. Petalangan tribe has various cultures in the traditions of life. A good introduction to cultural heritage by the next generation can strengthen the nation's tradition in responding to the increasingly severe challenges of the future in this era of globalization. Cultural heritage in the form of moral-spiritual inheritance, one of which is obtained and known through the tradition of belief in the traditional proverb that exists in the community. The traditional adage in the Petalangan community, among others, explains the perspective on community life. This study aims to describe the style of language in the customary proverb that is related to the perspective of life in society. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis method. The data source used was the book entitled Pepatah Adat, Istilah, dan Kosa kata Masyarakat Petalangan Kabupaten Pelalawan, Riau. There are 16 traditional proverbs used as data in this study, which then obtained 3 language styles based on sentence structure and 2 language styles based on meaning. By knowing and learning the style of language in this traditional proverb, the philosophy of life and aesthetic tastes of the people of Riau can be understood. Petalangan merupakan salah satu puak asli di Provinsi Riau yang bermukim di Kecamatan Pengkalan Kuras, Langgam, Kuala Kampar, dan Bunut, Kabupaten Pelalawan. Suku Petalangan ini memiliki beraneka kebudayaan dalam kehidupan. Pengenalan yang baik terhadap warisan kebudayaan oleh generasi penerus dapat memperteguh tradisi bangsa dalam menjawab tantangan masa depan yang semakin berat dalam era globalisasi ini. Warisan kebudayaan yang berupa warisan moral-spiritual, satu di antaranya didapatkan dan diketahui keyakinan terhadap pepatah adat yang ada pada masyarakat. Pepatah adat dalam masyarakat Petalangan antara lain menjelaskan cara pandang mengenai hidup bermasyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan gaya bahasa di dalam pepatah adat yang berhubungan dengan cara pandang dalam hidup bermasyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakanpendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis deskriptif. Sumber data yang digunakan adalah buku Pepatah Adat, Istilah, dan Kosa kata Masyarakat Petalangan Kabupaten Pelalawan, Riau. Terdapat 16 pepatah adat yang dijadikan data dalam penelitian ini, yang kemudian diperoleh 3 gaya bahasa berdasarkan struktur kalimat dan 2 gaya bahasa berdasarkan makna. Dengan mengetahui dan mempelajari gaya bahasa dalam pepatah adat ini dapat dipahami filsafat hidup dan cita rasa estetika masyarakat Riau.
