Online learning is used by all levels of education without exception, as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. But the effectiveness of online learning is still unknown, because teachers are more focused on teaching than conducting studies on online learning. So this study aims to determine the effectiveness of online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic at Yapis Manokwari High School. The method in this research uses descriptive quantitative method, in which quantitative data is in the form of a percentage of the results of the questionnaire, and descriptive data is in the form of a description of the percentage of the results of the questionnaire. In addition, data collection techniques also use interview techniques to strengthen students' questionnaire answers. The interview was conducted with a class XI teacher at SMA Yapis Manokwari. The sample used was 30 students. The results showed that students understood the use of online platforms in online learning, but online learning was not effective due to several factors, including: (1) signal, (2) time constraints, (3) noise from students due to forgetting to turn off the microphone. In addition, the results of interviews with teachers also show that online learning is not effective because it does not meet teacher expectations or does not achieve learning objectives compared to face-to-face learning.

The implementation of this research is by using a qualitative approach, data is collected using observations, interviews and documentation studies. The results of the first study of al-Qur’an Hadits before the Covid 19 pandemic in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teluk Kuantan took place well and in accordance with the planned learning objectives. Second, the learning of the al-Qur’an Hadits at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Muhammadiyah Teluk Kuantan when the pandemic took place made the situation and conditions of the learning process in the madrassa changed completely. This is because it is a government policy that prohibits schools from doing face-to-face learning processes, so that learners can only learn from home and teachers provide material online. Third, the learning of the al-Qur’an Hadits that had initially run smoothly turned out to change drastically with the covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, the reconstruction of the learning of the al-Qur’an Hadits becomes one of the alternatives so that how the learning materials that must be studied and tested by these learners can still be conveyed properly. Although the implementation of reconstruction of al-Qur’an Hadits learning is not fully running smoothly in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Muhammadiyah Teluk Kuantan, but at least teachers have been able to plan and readjust the changes felt due to the pandemic.

Abstract: This study describes the learning that has been applied in MTs students to the set material during the New Normal Covid-19 period. The learning method used is the Discovery learning method which is expected to improve the reciprocal relationship between students and teachers. In addition, the learning used was limited offline which paid attention to health protocols such as wearing masks, spraying hand sanitizers, and spraying disinfectants before students entered the school area and checking body temperature. Limited offline learning is different from learning before the Covid-19 pandemic existed, offline learning is limited to face-to-face learning between teachers and students but reduces face-to-face hours, namely 08.00-10.00 WIB. This limited offline learning is implemented because students do not allow learning to be carried out online because of the many obstacles faced by students, teachers, and parents of students. The results of the study indicate that there are differences in the conditions of students when this limited offline learning is implemented. In this case, limited offline learning has positive and negative effects for both teachers and students.

The temporary closure of formal educational institutions in an effort to contain the spread of the Covid-19 epidemic around the world has an impact on the education sector, not except in Indonesia. The non-formal education sector, such as the Tutoring Business Agencies, also experienced a very significant impact, where the tutoring agencies had difficulty in implementing the marketing mix. So that further studies are needed so that the tutoring business agencies will survive in a pandemic condition. To obtain data, it was done through literature studies from secondary and qualitative data. The habits of students who tend to prefer face-to-face activities make online tutoring activities less responsive and still choose face-to-face learning as one way to keep up with the school curriculum. The solution so that tutoring agencies can survive is to improve product and process factors. The products include limiting the number of students in the class and the variety of online and offline learning. The process is by spraying disinfectant at each class change and providing distance between students. This needs to be done so that parents who provide the needed funds will feel safe when their children study at the desired tutoring agencies.
