The general study objective is to figure out and describe the effectiveness of PKBM implementation as learning resources in Ambon Municipality. This research is evaluation research based on the CIPP evaluation model (Context, Input, Process, Product). The objective of the research is the PKBM program as a center of community learning resources in the city of Ambon, using a qualitative approach. This approach has superiority that provides a comprehensive study of social phenomena conducted by researchers. The research method is used as a guideline or tool to help researchers on how the steps of the research are carried out, as an effort to reveal research problems. The outcomes of the study show that: (1) the role of The manager, learning community, the organization in supporting the learning process of the Package C program in PKBM in the city of Ambon is good. (2) Managers, and learning residents, PKBM learning material in the city of Ambon is good. (3) Managers and learning residents, the learning methods used by tutors in learning the C package program at PKBM in Ambon City are good. (4) Managers and learning residents, the use of learning tools and media by tutors in learning the C package program at PKBM in Ambon city is good. So it can be concluded that all aspects considered to be in a good category, so it can be decided that the aspects of the process are in a good category.

The study objectives of this study are to describe the learning material, learning methods, learning resources, and learning infrastructure used in the BLK Sijunjung preparation education and training. This type of research is quantitative descriptive. The population of the entire area of the object used as the research sample. The selected sample must represent or represent all participants, namely the inmates who take the skills training to receive 32 people. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used in this study is quantitative descriptive. Research findings 1) Materials provided by general instructors, most of whom are assisted by people who understand and understand the learning materials that are needed by the learning community can provide benefits / assistance to their members. 2) Learning methods used by citizens in skills training have been well implemented so that the assisted citizens can be directly applied / applied in their lives. 3) Learning resources used by tutors for the majority of the training people have been well implemented so that the assisted citizens can be directly applied / applied in their lives. 4) Facilities and infrastructure used by tutors in learning skills training have been carried out and implemented well by the assisted residents, facilities and infrastructures used are quite complete.Keywords: Sewing Skills, BLK

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui kualitas bahan ajar Bahasa Prancis Le Mag yang digunakan oleh siswa sebagai sumber belajar dalam proses pembelajaran. Kriteria yang digunakan untuk mengevaluasi bahan ajar ini adalah kriteria dari aspek desain instruksional, aspek desain pesan dan aspek karakteristik siswa.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian evaluasi dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Model evaluasi yang digunakan adalah model evaluasi formatif oleh Dick and Carey yang dilakukan dengan dua tahap, yaitu evaluasi one to one by expert dan evaluasi one to one by student. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar penilaian bahan ajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar  Le Mag sebagai bahan ajar bahasa Prancis memiliki kualitas baik untuk digunakan sebagai bahan ajar mandiri siswa SMA dalam proses pembelajaran. Kualitas tersebut berdasarkan penilaian dari ahli materi, media dan siswa yang menghasilkan data sebagai berikut: (1) Oleh ahli materi memperoleh rata-rata 4,1 dalam kategori sangat baik. (2) Oleh ahli media memperoleh rata-rata 4,57 dalam kategori sangat baik. (3) Oleh siswa memperoleh rata-rata 3,2 dalam katego baik.Kata kunci: evaluasi, bahan ajar bahasa Prancis, bahan ajar mandiri  AN EVALUATION OF FRENCH LANGUAGE MATERIALS AS SELF-DIRECTED LEARNING MATERIALS FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTAbstractThe purpose of this study is to know the quality of French Le Mag teaching materials used by students as learning resources in the learning process. This study is an evaluation research using quantitative method approach. The evaluation model used in this research was a formative evaluation model by Dick and Carey which was conducted in two stages, one-to-one evaluation by expert and one to one evaluation by student. The results showed that learning material of French Le Mag was suitable to be used as self learning material of high school student. That results were based on the assessment of material experts, media expert and students which obtained the data: (1) By the material expert obtain an average of 4.10 in the criteria of very good. (2) By the media expert obtains an average of 4.57 in criteria very good. Learning resources center (LRC) was being a place for developing learning systems, training regarding learning skills and instructions, and providing learning resources in university. However, at this time, the LRC existence in university tended to decrease compared to the condition at its establishment. This article discusses the decrease of the LRC existence, particularly regarding the opportunity of the LRC implementation that is reviewed from the formal basis, policies, and funding sources based on the results of the evaluation research by CIPP evaluation model. The research was conducted in the State University of Jakarta’s learning resources center by a questionnaire which is implements stratified random sampling toward 212 students and 100 lecturers, non-participatory observation, interview with the stakeholders, and documents study of the LRC since 1986 to 2015. The data were analyzed by statistical descriptive and qualitative. The research found that the opportunity for LRC implementation is very weak, due to no a substantively supportive policy and insufficient funding source, even though at the time of its establishment has a strong formal basis. A very weak opportunity could lead to the stunned of LRC in university. Hence, stakeholders should formulate policies that substantially support, and strive fixed and adequate funding sources to reinforce the opportunity of LRC implementation in university for the future.

This research aims to promote the development of the character of learning community at Madrasah Tsanawiyah of Bantul Regency Yogyakarta, and two problems posed to be addressed: why the character of community learning pattern does not realize as it has been expected, and how does the development of the character of learning community at MTs of Bantul look like? The research uses the Research and Development model that is consisted of four stages: exploration, development, tests, and dissemination. The data were collected by means of observatiosn, interviews, questionaire, and review of documentation. The results show: (1) the character of learning community at the MTs in Bantul Regency has not been fully established because the teachers were not active in preparing their lesson study, and they did not benefit from it. Also, they were too busy in fulfilling their obligations as teachers; (2) the development of the character of learning community at MTs in Bantul could be implemented through Classroom Action Research-based lesson study plans which are consisted of five stages: consolidation of lesson study concepts, explanation of Classroom Action Research as a form of scientific publication, planning, implementation of action, and reflection.

Purpose – Road traffic crashes (RTCs) result in creating significant social and economic hazard for affectees, their families and society. The purpose of this paper is to present studies which were conducted to study the patterns of RTCs in Karachi which is a metropolitan city of Pakistan. The studies were conducted on one of the busiest roads in the city named as Shara-e-Faisal. The influence and contribution of different factors in RTCs has been studied and hazardous road sections of Shara-e-Faisal have been identified. Based on the data analysis, an evaluation model has been suggested to reduce the hazard of RTCs on Shara-e-Faisal. The objective of the presented studies is to increase the present level of safety of road travel by reducing crashes on Shara-e-Faisal. Design/methodology/approach – Existing data of RTCs in Karachi have been analysed for the presented studies. For this purpose, Shara-e-Faisal was divided in sections of 1 km length to study the vehicle crash pattern. Location surveys were conducted to record physical conditions of this road. A cluster analysis was carried out to identify hazardous sections of the road. An evaluation model has been suggested in the end to reduce the hazard of RTCs by identifying hazardous road sections of Shara-e-Faisal. Findings – The analysis of the data revealed that the crashes were higher over weekend and on Monday. Male population, particularly young people, and motorcycle riders were the largest affectees of RTCs. In general, more daytime crashes were recorded as compared to nighttime crashes. The crashes in the mid block of the road and those involving rear-end collisions were higher. The hazardous road locations were related to poor road conditions. Statistical analysis indicated that alternate routes were required to reduce the RTC hazard on Shara-e-Faisal. Research limitations/implications – The paper is a small, but an original, contribution to identify a potential hazard which is faced by the community in the city. This is the first attempt (to the best of authors’ knowledge) to address the issue of RTCs in Karachi from an engineering view point. Practical implications – The suggested model can be employed by the authorities as a guideline to mitigate the hazard of road crashes in the country. Originality/value – The paper provides valuable information on the road traffic incidents, their pattern and contributing factors in one of the largest metropolis of Pakistan. The suggested model can become helpful in reducing RTCs in Pakistan.

Nonformal education in Paket A, B, and C is one of the civil right for the citizens to be easily accessible and this is held by PKBM. The research has to objective to know the characteristics of learning community and tutor, the role of PKBM Barito in providing facility and equipment for learning, social learning process of Kejar Paket B celebrated by PKBM Barito. The research uses the qualitative method. The source of data is chosen purposively, and the data collection uses observation, interview, and documentation. The research instruments are interview guide, observation sheet, and documentation. Data analysis by data reduction process, data display, and verification. The research finding say that (1) the characteristics of learning community are in variation whether in age, marital status, profession, education background, motivation, skill, the interestedness to subject, expectation after graduation, and problem in their lives. Whereas characteristics of tutor could be seen from the education level, professional competence, and pedagogic competence; (2) the role of PKBM does not work maximally whether in recruiting community learning, providing facility and equipment for learning celebration, and learning evaluation; however PKBM has the role in recruiting tutor and celebration fund; (3) the learning process of social science for Paket B has fulfilled minimal standar involving preparation, implementation, and evaluation but does not work maximally in learning for the mature learners.Key words: social science learning, Kejar Paket, PKBM role, learning community, tutor.

In order to achieve the purpose of improving the travel efficiency of commuters in the periphery of the city, expanding the beneficiary groups of urban rail transit, and alleviating urban road traffic congestion, when planning and setting up HOV in the periphery of the city, it is necessary to analyze the feasibility of HOV lane setting from both the demand conditions and the setting conditions. This paper combines machine learning to construct a decision-making evaluation model for HOV lane setting and studies the optimal layout model and algorithm of HOV lanes in service rail transit commuter chain. The setting, planning, and layout of HOV lanes are a two-way interactive process of traveler's path selection and designer's road planning. Finally, after the model is constructed, the performance of the system model is verified. The results show that the system studied in this paper can be used for traffic data and lane planning analysis. Therefore, in the process of urban operation, the HOV model constructed in this paper is mainly used to alleviate urban traffic and improve urban operation efficiency.

<p><strong>Purpose:</strong> I initiate the discussion with a statement about cognitive-cultural capitalism and its concentration in large global cities. This is followed by an argument to the effect that the specificity of the city resides in the manner in which the diverse social phenomena that it contains are brought into a composite pattern of spatial integration. With these preliminaries in mind, I examine the economic structure of the city in cognitive-cultural capitalism, with special reference to the emergence of a new division of labor and the changing configuration of intra-urban production space. This account leads directly to consideration of the restratification of urban society and its effects on neighborhood development and social life. The final section of the paper picks up on the notion of the Common in cognitive-cultural capitalism and offers some speculative remarks regarding the implications of this phenomenon for the economic and social order of cities.</p><p><strong>Methodology/Approach:</strong> Historical and geographical narrative combined with appeals to the theory of political economy.</p><p><strong>Findings:</strong> Cognitive-cultural capitalism is emerging as a dominant force of social and economic change in the twenty-first century. This trend is also evident in new patterns of urbanization that are emerging on all five continents. These patterns reflect dramatic shifts in the structure of urban production systems and the significant restratification of urban society that has been occurring as a consequence.</p><p><strong>Research Limitation/implication:</strong> The paper is pitched at a high level of conceptual abstraction. Detailed empirical investigation/testing of the main theoretical points outlined in the paper is urgently called for.</p><p><strong>Originality/Value of paper:</strong> The paper offers an overall theoretical synthesis of the interrelationships between cognitive-cultural capitalism and processes of urbanization.</p>

This study aims to determine the condition of ethnic Chinese Muslims in organizing Islamic religious education in the city of Padangsidimpuan. The Muslim Chinese community participated in moving Islamic religious education in the city of Padangsidimpuan The research method uses qualitative. Instrument for collecting data on observation, interview and documentation. The research findings show that the implementation of Islamic religious education developed in several centers of religious learning activities. The dynamics of the implementation of ethnic Muslim Islamic religious education in the city of Padangsidimpuan carried out in a variety of containers and facilities. The organization of religious education is based on groups and individuals.It was concluded that the Muslim Chinese ethnic studied religious learning material on aqeedah, sharia and morals. Learning methods build communication between educators and students. Educators and students come from various scientific backgrounds, Islamic and Indonesian.

The research was conducted to evaluate the performance of Community Learning Activities Center (CLAC) as an educational institution in empowering community. The research which is an evaluative study using the Stakes‘s evaluation model, took place at CLACs in Bantul, Yogyakarta Province. The findings show, firstly, each function of the CLACs has been put into practices. However, the implementation is not done effectively based on the criteria. It indicates that the performance is not organized professionally. Secondly, the CLACs have been able to produce meaningful learning outcomes such as creating positive behavior changes of targeted individuals or communities. However, the CLACs do not assign a greater impact on broader and multidimensional context of community empowerment.. Thirdly, there are threats that give negative influences on the implementation of the CLACs in terms of structural, interactional, and cultural aspects resulted from both internal and external environment of the CLAC institution. Therefore, bases on the findings, in the future the development of the CLACs should be planned and oriented to create the community toward more developed and comprehensive aspects of lives accompanied with the continuous development of strong commitment from stakeholders.
