Cognitive as a thought process in the form of the ability to connect, assess and consider something. One of the cognitive abilities that children can develop is to recognize the concept of shape, color and size. Introducing the concept of shape, color, and size to children is important because color, shape and size are the most visible features in the world around us and can help children solve problems in life and adapt to their environment. There are 4 stages of child development, namely motor sensory, concrete pre-operation, concrete operation, and formal operation. Through play activities that contain education, children's thinking powers are stimulated to stimulate emotional, social and physical development. Utilizing the surrounding environment as a means and source of learning by giving children the opportunity to explore experiences gained orally or with creative media. The use of blocks in early childhood education is intended to develop various abilities of children, in addition to providing opportunities for children to explore. Educational game tools (APE) for early childhood are always designed with in-depth thinking tailored to the child's age range. Game tools for children aged 4-5 years are made simpler and not too difficult compared to games for children aged 5-6 years which are more difficult to work on.

The skills that must be mastered in the 21st century were creativity, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration. This was in line with Bloom's theory that creativity was the highest ability in aspects of cognitive development. Therefore important creativity was given to Early Childhood Education. Early childhood learning to stimulate creativity was done through various approaches. The approach applied didn’t yet refer to the needed analysis that was in accordance with the standards of early childhood learning. The approach to stimulating the creativity of early childhood needed to be refined by referring to the stages of the child, namely learning through play. Playing must be able to stimulate the goals to be achieved. The application of playing based on reggio emilia’s approach to stimulate the development of early childhood creativity. The method used was literature study by conducting a study of books and journals. The results of the analysis of theoretical studies state that playing based on reggio emillia’s approach could help stimulated children's creativity after an early age. This was because the aplication of playing based on reggio emillia’s approach prioritizes children's freedom in exploring the surrounding environment. This exploration activity will actively foster children's imagination. Playing based on reggio emilia’s approach involves an active role in early childhood. Creativity requires space to move and playing based on the reggio emillia approach as the right link to help stimulated early childhood creativity.

In the context of learning in early childhood, still found a conventional and teacher-centered learning. Teachers are more active than children, so children are not given the opportunity to reproduce ideas, concepts and thoughts by itself. In addition, the introduction of the environment both in the classroom and outside the class has not been given maximally, if there are very limited with the same method. Still the discovery of teachers who have not been able to take advantage of the surrounding environment, both animals, plants and natural events that exist in the environment around the school to serve as part of children's learning. This of course resulted in the weakness of children in opinion, finding ideas, creative thinking, finding something, and children have not shown the talent of natural intelligence well. In adults, psychiatric disorders are highly comorbid and are negatively associated with cognitive abilities. Individual cognitive measures have been linked with domains of child psychopathology, but the specificity of these associations and the extent to which they reflect shared genetic influences are unknown. In this study we examined the relationship between general factors of cognitive ability ( g) and psychopathology ( p) in early development using two genetically informative samples: the Texas “Tiny” Twin Project (TXtT; N = 626, age range = 0.16–6.31 years) and the Early Childhood Longitudinal Study–Birth Cohort (ECLS-B; N ≈ 1,300 individual twins, age range = 3.7–7.1 years). The total p–g correlation (−.21 in ECLS-B; −.34 in TXtT) was primarily attributable to genetic and shared environmental factors. The early age range of participants indicates that the p–g association is a reflection of overlapping genetic and shared environmental factors that operate in the first years of life.

This problem is motivated by children who are always forbidden to play with their peers outside the home on the grounds that parents are afraid of children addicted to play and become lazy to learn, this is very contrary to early childhood education, because the child's world should be a world of play. Parents will definitely provide the best parenting for their children, and parents have their own parenting, including authoritarian parenting. This authoritarian parenting style of parents will usually rule with all the lives of children and do not give children to choose what they want to do, including in children's social interactions, parents will forbid children to play for all reasons. That way the child will have a personality that can the child unable to interact with the surrounding environment.
