One of the formal education pathways that prepare its graduates to have excellence in the world of work is Vocational High Schools (SMK). Current problems in SMK are generally related to limited equipment, low practice costs, and a learning environment that is not suitable for the world of work. Education is carried out to achieve human resources with the ability to think which is formulated as "Higher Order Thinking Skills" (HOTS) which aims to form human resources with the ability to innovate and be able to solve problems. In developing CBI-based learning models, there are learning models that aim to provide a concrete learning experience through the creation of imitations of experiences that are closer to the actual atmosphere. Computer-based learning is strongly influenced by cognitive learning theory, a model of information processing that began to develop in the 60s and 70s.

The purpose of this preliminary investigative paper is to describe how the implications of recent research into young children's thinking has influenced teacher educators at the University of Western Sydney, Nepean (UWS, Nepean) to provide experiential learning and guidance to preservice early childhood educators on how to establish environments that stimulate curiosity and promote thinking. By teaching preservice early childhood educators to analyse, think rationally and creatively, problem-solve and reason, we can foster a better educated tertiary student whose thinking skills will be more effective, and who can initiate such activities in their future educational environments. At the UWS, Nepean students’ metacognitive awareness and perceptions of their own thinking were explored through collaborative, practical activity accompanied by interactive dialogue, thereby establishing ‘communities of inquiry’ in three early childhood subjects. Formative and summative interviews with students, as well as written student reflections indicated that these practices greatly nurtured their creative intellect, further developed their ability to think critically and heightened perception of their own metacognitive capabilities. Students reported that their experiences had encouraged them to use similar thinking skills activities in their own teaching.

This study aims to determine how much influence the ability of logical-mathematical thinking in early childhood. Because children's mathematical abilities have not yet developed optimally, during the learning process it can be seen that the teacher's role is to emphasize more teacher-centered teaching. Cognitive development is one of the branches to develop children's thinking abilities especially in mathematical logical thinking. Color, and shape lotto are learning media that have a function to develop children's concentration and observation power. Therefore, the researchers used a quasi-experimental study that aims to see the effect on learning in the classroom by providing certain treatments in the experimental class while the control class is not given treatment. With the Wilcoxon trial to find out the effect on learning. “Test Statistic” is known to ASMP value. SIG (2-tailed) is 0.001 smaller than <0. 05, it can be concluded that “Hypothesis is accepted”, meaning there are differences between students' learning outcomes to improve the ability of logical-mathematical thinking for pretest and post-test. So, it can be concluded thus “there is an influence in increasing the ability of logical-mathematical thinking in early childhood with lotto learning media in Group B."Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa pengaruhnya kemampuan berpikir logis-matematis pada anak usia dini.

Cognitive abilities are thinking skills that have the knowledge, intelligence and relationships of students with their environment. Effective learning for early childhood education, needs to be supported by a conducive learning environment and atmosphere, through play activities. To accustom children to think critically and creatively in solving a problem, researchers used a monopoly game media to develop cognitive abilities in problem solving in children aged 5-6 years in group B of Elektrika Kindergarten. The study was conducted by quasi-pretest and posttest experimental methods in the experimental and control groups. The results showed that the experimental class was 34,167% while the control was 20,875%. This increase was also seen from the results of the percentage value in the N-gain test with a value of 29.142% in the experiments and controls of 20.571%. This shows that the problem solving ability of groups whose learning uses media monopoly is better than groups that use ordinary learning.
