Transport plays an important role in the economy of any country. Efficient and developed transport infrastructure of various modes of transport significantly affects the availability of transport services, and consequently, the well-being of citizens. This article presents an analysis of the volume of passengers and cargo transport using rail and road transport in Poland in 2009-2019. These analyses were carried out based on data obtained from the Central Statistical Office. All data concerns Polish entities that provide services in the field of passenger and freight transport in Poland and focuses on such information as the volume of passengers and cargo by individual means of transport, broken down into domestic and international transport. Further, the presented analyses concern the length of the available rail and road routes, tracks, the size of the rolling stock as well as the groups of transported loads.

In recent years, electric two-wheeled vehicles (E2Ws) including electric bicycles and electric motorcycles have been used widely in Vietnam. Currently, the total number of E2Ws used is 3 million and with an average growth rate of 13.33% an estimated 6 million E2Ws will be used in 2024. E2Ws have been used widely among Vietnam’s youth. Based on the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) of Ajzen (2005, 2016) [1, 2], the main purpose of this research is to identify factors affecting the attitude to and intention of high school students in Hanoi city towards E2W usage and their affected level. The analytical results show that the attitude towards E2W usage is influenced respectively in descending order by (i) perceptions of economic benefit, (ii) usage convenience, (iii) friendly environmental awareness, (iv) stylish design. Usage intention towards E2Ws is determined respectively in descending order by (i) subjective norm, (ii) attitude toward E2W usage, (iii) the attraction of motorcycles. Based on the research results, some proposals for producers, authorities and policy-makers have been recommended. Further improvement of the quality of life is closely connected with the development of domestic tourism in the Russian Federation. To provide autotourists and road users with civilized conditions tourism and recreation and autoturist clusters are developing, as well as elements of their networks and diverse areas of road and roadside services. According to their functional purpose, the latter are divided into enterprises servicing car tourists and road users and those which function is the maintenance of rolling stock. Development of infrastructure for technical services for wheeled vehicles of autotourists and road users and providing them with a single high standard of quality of specialized and related services must meet certain requirements, including the scope and structure of the fleet of wheeled vehicles and their lineup; growth of domestic and inbound tourism flows; increase in the range and volume of services provided; geographical expansion, regions and types of autotravel; individualization of services; road safety and compliance with environmental safety. Until recently, the existing enterprises specializing in services for wheeled vehicles of autoturists and road users have had a low level of technical equipment and workload for productive employees. Formation of infrastructure maintenance and repair of rolling stock is advisable to be developed by types of services based on the block principle. A strategic step in improving the quality of services and efficiency of enterprises is the introduction of interactive elements of acceptance: focus primarily on the client, efficient organization of services, the use of modern information technology, competent staff, additional services and sales of related products and accessories.

The article deals with the optimization of logistics operations for the transportation and reloading of wind turbine blades. The main directions of technical coordination of water and road transport for the implementation of the possibilities of transportation of oversized cargo have been determined. A method of transportation, as well as reloading from an object of a rolling stock of water transport to a road transport, is proposed.

The article considers the investigation results of the working process of diesel on light fuel. Consumption of natural resources in the form of hydrocarbon fuels, which is steadily increasing in transport, the number of rolling stock, and combustion products of motor fuels cause environmental pollution. It is shown that the transition to cheaper alternative types of fuel, by its characteristics, not inferior to liquid motor fuels, is one of the options to reduce operating costs and harmful emissions. The scheme of classification of gas systems of fuel transfer is presented: by design of the system of filling and storage of gas; by quantity of the substituted basic fuel in the system of fuel supply; by method of dosing of fuel; by name and place of sending of a control signal; by design of the unit of decrease in pressure of gas; by design and a site of heating devices of a gas stream of a high pressure; by a method of ignition of a gas-air mix; by a method of change of indicators of working process; by an aggregate condition of used According to the results of theoretical and operational research of the gas engine based on a supercharged diesel engine: the necessity of using a gas injector power supply system has been established; the power and torque of the gas engine created on the basis of a supercharged diesel engine practically do not differ from that of the diesel engine, which is explained by a relatively high degree of compression for engines with spark ignition (ε=2); it has been shown that in the long term it is possible to use gas supply systems under pressure directly into the engine cylinder. As a result, the most affordable commercial alternative fuel for road transport in Uzbekistan turned out to be natural gas.

Introduction. The emphasis is placed on the development of road transport in the Russian Federation, which is characterized by an increase in traffic carried out by specialized rolling stock of various sizes, a change in the location of cargo-forming and cargo-absorbing points, and the requirements of customers for quantitative and qualitative indicators established in agreements. These conditions ensure to the development of the Russian economy in social significant branches. The purpose of the study is to develop a methodology for the current planning of the operation of specialized rolling stock of standard sizes of a motor transport enterprise to implement the conditions of contracts for the transportation of goods in the city.Materials and methods. The current planning methodology has been developed as part of a new concept, which is a synthesis of the methods of the theory of road freight transport, the theory of maintenance and current repair of rolling stock. A system analysis, the methods of probability theory and mathematical statistics are used in the studies. Results: - the methodological foundations that made it possible to develop a methodology for the current planning of the work of a specialized rolling stock of standard sizes for a motor transport enterprise to implement the contracts conditions for the transportation of goods in the city;- a computer program, the use of which in the operating of a motor transport enterprise will make possible to carry out planning aimed to implement the contracts terms and make a profit.Discussion and conclusions. The implementation and testing of the current planning methodology for the transportation of goods in the city is carried out in the conditions of a motor transport enterprise in the city of Omsk using a computer program “Planning the work of a motor transport enterprise for the transportation of goods in the city”. A methodology application allowed the motor transport enterprise to make a profit of 14.5% more than the profit that could be obtained by using previously existing methods in planning.Financial transparency: the authors have no financial interest in the presented materials or methods. The competitiveness of an enterprise in comparison with other entities working with it in the same plane has a significant impact on the results of its activities, including profit. If we talk about railway transport, in the field of providing passenger transportation within the country, then road transport has become a close and fairly significant competitor of railway transport, because the availability of cars to an ordinary citizen, an extensive network of bus routes, competitive cost and speed of delivery of a passenger from point A to point B by road vehicles have significantly weakened the place of rail transport in the passenger transportation market. The following factors negatively influence the volume of passenger transportation by rail in Ukraine: ineffective reforms, their obsolescence and protraction, ineffective industry management system, outdated financial model and tariff setting system. Ensuring a stable, profitable operation of a transport organization by identifying and meeting the needs of passengers to the maximum is the main goal of marketing in the field of passenger transportation. The current tough market conditions for the implementation of financial and economic activities in the field of railway transportation require a change in the policy of using the labor potential of Ukrzaliznytsia in order to increase its financial potential. In the article, the authors, in order to increase the competitiveness of railway transport, note not only on a thorough and large-scale renovation and reconstruction of railway transport infrastructure and rolling stock (with the help of public and private funding), but also the need to determine the needs of the passenger, his hopes and expectations from railway travel (for this it is proposed to create an appropriate marketing service in the structure of the railways, conduct regular surveys of passengers, etc.). The authors consider an increase in the motivation for high-quality performance of official duties by railroad employees as one of the important areas of increasing the competitiveness of rail passenger transportation, because it is they who come into direct contact with passengers and significantly affect the general impression of the passenger from the trip.
