ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini berutujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menguraikan sejarah, proses dan nilai-nilai yang terkandung dalam banti-banti pada masyarakat di Kelurahan Mandati I Kecamatan Wangi-Wangi Selatan Kabupaten Wakatobi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode sejarah yang terdiri dari (1) heuristik yakni mencari sumber melalui wawancara, studi kepustakaan, dan penelitian lapangan, (2) kritik sumber terdiri atas kritik eksternal dan kritik internal guna mendapat data yang akurat, dan (3) historiografi yang dimaksudkan dalam bentuk tulisan secara sistematis dan kronologis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: latar belakang pelaksanaan banti-banti pada masyarakat di Kelurahan Mandati I Kecamatan Wangi-Wangi Selatan Kabupaten Wakatobi, tidak diketahui secara pasti, namun dapat di perkirakan banti-banti dan Pobanti lahir sebelum masuknya Islam di Pulau Wangi-Wangi yakni sebelum abad ke-13. Sedangkan proses pelaksanaan banti-banti tersebut masuk dalam aktivitas masyarakat masyarakat Mandati seperti hembula’a gandu (penanaman jagung), kegiatan gotong royong, serta digunakan sebagai pengantar tidur. Disamping itu, banti-banti juga digunakan sebagai nyanyian yang mengiringi tari-tarian tradisional seperti, tari Lariangi, tari Badenda dan tari Pajogi. Nilai-nilai yang terkandung dalam banti-banti yakni nilai agama, kejujuran, tanggung jawab, serta nilai bersahabat/komunikatif yang akan tampak dalam sikap dan perilaku masyarakat di Kelurahan Mandati I Kecamatan Wangi-Wangi Selatan Kabupaten Wakatobi. Kata Kunci:Latarbelakang, proses, dan nilai-nilai, banti-banti Description Alternative: ABSTRACT: This study aims to describe and describe the history, process and values contained in banti-banti in the community in Mandati I Village, Wangi-Wangi Selatan District, Wakatobi Regency. This research uses a historical method consisting of (1) heuristics that is looking for sources through interviews, library research, and field research, (2) source criticism consists of external criticism and internal criticism in order to obtain accurate data, and (3) historiography intended in writing systematically and chronologically. The results of the study show that: the background of the implementation of the bantis to the community in Mandati I Village, Wangi-Wangi Selatan District Wakatobi Regency is not known, but it can be predicted that Banti and Pobanti were born before the entry of Islam on Wangi-Wangi Island before 13th century. While the implementation of the banti-banti included in the Mandati community activities such as hembula'a gandu (planting corn), mutual cooperation activities, and used as a lullaby. Besides that, banti-banti is also used as a song that accompanies traditional dances such as Lariangi dance, Badenda dance and Pajogi dance. The values contained in the banti-banti namely religious values, honesty, responsibility, and friendly / communicative values that will appear in the attitudes and behavior of the people in Mandati I Village, Wangi-Wangi Selatan District, Wakatobi District. Keywords: Background, process, and values, banti-banti

Shalawat Ngelik is a recitation of blessings using the rhythm of Javanese style accompanied by high-pitched voice or high intonation. This tradition existed in the village of Pundung, Sleman for approximately 50 years. In this article, the discussion was the reception or response of the people of the village of Pundung, Sleman, especially the jama’ah of Al-Awwab mosque to the existence of Shalawat Ngelik. This research was a qualitative research with data collection techniques combining field research and library research. Analysis of the reception of the Jama'ah Masjid Al-Awwab in the village of Pundung, Sleman on the Shalawat Ngelik using reception typology categorized by Ahmad Rafiq, namely exegesis receptions, aesthetic receptions, and functional receptions. The indication of exegesis reception is seen in Kyai Nur Iman's understanding of Q.S. al-Ahzab [33]: 56. It is the basis idea of Shalawat Ngelik. Meanwhile, the aesthetic receptions can be seen in the recitation of Shalawat which is done by Ngelik, which is using Javanese style rhythms with a shrill voice or high intonation. It should be noted that the recitation of the Shalawat Ngelik using Javanese verse still refers to the Shalawat Barzanji. Finally, the functional reception is indicated by the influence on the attitudes and behavior of the Jama'ah Masjid Al-Awwab, Pundung, Sleman village. Among them, getting closer to Allah Swt, love more and make Rasulullah SAW as a role model, and by reading Shalawat Ngelik his heart becomes peaceful.

Mass media is one of the leading sectors in handling COVID-19. Amidst current health emergency, public trusttowards the information conveyed by the mass media is the key to successful mitigation. Various types of newsregarding massive COVID-19 reports in several media channels have the potential to cause information bias whichends in pros and cons. Insubstantial debates in varied media are counter-productive to the efforts of various partiesin educating the society to avoid misinformation. Based on this, it is important to know the media that are referencesand that gain public trust in seeking information. This study examines the level of public trust in information aboutCOVID-19 in the mass media, both old and new media, using an online questionnaire methodology on May 3, 2020,which was given to 60 respondents. The results show that the respondents’ level of faith in television is higher, but itsconsumption by viewers is much lower than that of online media (news sites and social media). The results showedthat viewers still deemed television a reliable reference for information. From these data it was found out why themedia are rarely used by the people but are able to gain high trust in the eyes of the public. The results of this studyare expected to provide an overview of the attitudes and behavior of the community in understanding COVID-19information so that relevant parties can make appropriate policies in the perspectives of media and communication.

Character education is an important element in the effort to prepare superior Indonesian human resources, it is of particular concern to be applied especially among students, there is a need for character education because the attitudes and behavior of the people and people of Indonesia now tend to ignore the noble values ​​of Pancasila which are highly respected and should be rooted in everyday attitudes and behaviors, values ​​such as honesty, politeness, togetherness and religious, gradually eroded by foreign cultures that tend to be hedonistic, materialistic, and individualistic, so that the noble character values ​​are ignored in the future if students and young people are not equipped with character education. Law students have their own challenges, especially in the era of globalization. This paper analyzes and illustrates the character strengthening program for law student activists in Semarang State University through several programs, namely public speaking, strengthening student idealism, strengthening advocacy capacitation and human rights assistance and self-motivation. This research is a field research with the object of research as activists of law students who are members of student organizations. This research confirms that the programs for strengthening the character of students experience several obstacles, one of which is the model used and a relatively short time. However, character education for student activists helps students to survive in real life as part of community members.

With the geologic location and physical characteristics of the Philippines,it is being considered as one of the most disaster-prone countries in the world.Disasters occurring in the country can be natural or human-induced (NDRRMC,2011).   Certainly, when there is a disaster, school children are the mostvulnerable. The study examined the disaster management trainings attended bythe teachers and their capability level in managing natural and human-induceddisasters.  It also explored the pupils’ knowledge, attitudes and behavior aboutdisaster management. Employing descriptive research design, 200 teachers and300 pupils in the public central schools in Iligan City served as respondents.Survey questionnaires were used in data gathering and were treated using frequency counts, means, percentages and correlation procedure. Results revealthat almost all of the teachers did not have trainings on disaster managementand yet, they are capable in managing the identified disasters. Meanwhile, thepupils posted a good remark on their knowledge, attitudes and behavior aboutdisaster management. The two powerful typhoons Sendong (Tropical StormWashi) and Pablo (Tropical Storm Bopha) left a learned lesson to the people inIligan City not to be complacent in any disasters. AbstractThis Research entitled "Community Behavior in Disposing Domestic Waste into Kuin River Urban Kuin South Banjarmasin City". This study aims to: 1) Analyze the behavior carried out by the Kuin Selatan Urban Communities who live in the Kuin River Basin in household waste disposal activities, 2) Analyze the factors that influence the attitude and behavior of the people of Kuin Selatan Village who live by the Kuin River in removing household waste.This study used descriptive qualitative method with the number of respondents as many as 9 people, key respondents 1 person and respondents support 8 people and then held in-depth interviews to the respondents to get complete information. This study will examine the behavior of people who dump their settlements to the banks of the Kuin river and examine the factors that influence the attitudes and behavior of residents to waste disposal activity, the position of the Kuin River area is located in the Village of South Kuin, West Banjarmasin Subdistrict. Other problems found during the study were the TPS that did not exist in the South Kuin District area, throwing the waste directly into the Kuin river. The results of this research are: 1) The behavior done by the Kuin Selatan Urban Village living on the banks of the Kuin River in household waste disposal activities can be known from the aspect of waste generation, waste collection, garbage transport, and destruction of waste, 2) comes from three aspects: physical (environmental), social, and cultural aspects. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 9 orang, responden kunci 1 orang dan responden pendukung 8 orang dan kemudian diadakan wawancara secara mendalam kepada para responden untuk mendapatkan informasi yang lengkap. Penelitian ini akan mengkaji Perilaku masyarakat yang membuang sampah permukimannya ke pinggiran sungai Kuin dan mengkaji faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi sikap dan perilaku warga terhadap kegiatan membuang sampah, posisi wilayah Sungai Kuin beraada di Kelurahan Kuin Selatan Kecamatan Banjarmasin Barat. Permasalahan lain yang didapati selama penelitian adalah TPS yang tidak ada pada wilayah Kelurahan Kuin Selatan sehingga membuang sampahnya langsung ke sungai Kuin. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah: 1) Perilaku yang dilakukan oleh Masyarakat Kelurahan Kuin Selatan yang tinggal di bantaran sungai Kuin dalam aktivitas membuang sampah rumah tangga dapat diketahui dari aspek timbulan sampah, pewadahan sampah, pengangkutan sampah, dan pemusnahan sampah, 2) faktor yang mempengaruhi berasal dari 3 aspek yaitu aspek fisik (lingkungan), aspek sosial, dan aspek budaya. Each of the following three papers is devoted to one or more aspect of conducting field research in Zambia. In this sense they form a complementary set, although this result was more fortuitous than planned. The intent had been to collect together several short papers which would address themselves to the manifold facets of fieldwork in African historical research. It is hoped that it will still be possible to do this, and it may be useful to discuss some (though by no means all) of the considerations that might merit attention in this regard:1] With the increasing difficulties in securing research clearance in Africa, it is important -- perhaps even imperative -- that intending field workers develop viable back-up research proposals. The ways in which such alternatives can be applied could probably be illustrated best by one or two case experiences; for, if anything, it appears that the ability to pursue first intentions will diminish in the future.2] Does Professor Kashoki's paper describe views which are representative of general opinion? Is there widespread disenchantment within Africa -- with the research attitudes and behavior of field researchers; with their commitments to the concerns of host countries; and with their care in assuring that the fruits of their labors are made easily available for local consumption? The views of other African historians, archivists, and librarians can help to reinforce or modify the arguments noted by Professor Kashoki, both by focusing on issues he has raised and by introducing new ones.3] Graduate students (not to mention other researchers) cannot always function intellectually as freely as they might wish. They have always had to defer to the opinions and interests of their supervisors and their graduate faculty, as well as to the suspected attitudes of relevant funding agencies. Now it appears that the research priorities of host governments must be added to this litany, may even come to dominate it, as we begin to hear of “research brigades” and similar expedients. Whether this should be seen as good or bad will depend on a number of specific variables. In either instance, however, the short- and long-term ramifications of this new phenomenon need to be discussed.

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this art creation is to transform the values of Rumah Gadang into painting. Rumah Gadang (Big House) is a traditional house of Minangkabau ethnic in West Sumatera Province of Indonesia. Rumah Gadang is built on the pillars made from the wood. It has a high and big hollow on the ground, and its taper roof is a special characteristic that makes it different from other ethnic houses in the areas across the equator. Rumah Gadang has various types and names based on its shape and size, which depend on the community or ethnic group that builds the house. Rumah Gadang Batingkek (a big attic house) accommodates the system of Koto Piliang group, while Gajah Maharam (Incubated Elephants) is an identity of Rumah Gadang of Bodi Caniago community. Both models of the traditional houses above have been known as the identity of a Minangkabau traditional house. Methods used for this artwork are exploration, planning, and implementation of the artwork. Before practising these methods, the data has been explored through library research, empirical research, and field research. Idioms of the traditional houses expressed in the language of painting as an expression of the Painters in communicating their concern of changing the functions and values of Rumah Gadang in Minangkabau society today. By expressing through painting, it is hoped it can give awareness to the people to preserve the traditional values of Rumah Gadang, and also the continuity of appreciation to the house.Keywords: Rumah Gadang, art painting, traditional values, expression of the artABSTRAKPenelitian dalam penciptaan ini bertujuan untuk mengaktualisasikan nilai-nilai Rumah Gadang ke dalam karya seni lukis. Rumah Gadang Batingkek (rumah besar bertingkat) mengakomodasi sistem kelarasan Koto piliang, yang Rumah Gadangnya beranjuang, Gajah Maharam (gajah mengeram) mengidentitaskan Rumah Gadang kelarasan Bodi Caniago. Kedua model Rumah Gadang tersebut merupakan identitas bangunan etnis Minangkabau. Metode penelitian dilakukan dengan eksplorasi, perancangan, dan eksekusi dari perwujudan karya seni. Pada tahap sebelumnya, dilakukan beberapa tahapan, yaitu studi pustaka, studi empirik dan studi lapangan. Dari penelitian didapatkan kesimpulan bahwa Idiom-idiom tradisi Rumah Gadang yang diungkapkan dengan bahasa seni lukis merupakan media ekspresi pencipta untuk mengomunikasikan kegelisahannya mengenai perubahan dan pengikisan nilai yang terjadi di Rumah Gadang sesuai perubahan zaman. Dengan media ungkap bahasa visual ini diharapkan dapat memberi penyadaran akan pentingnya nilai tradisi dalam konteks Rumah Gadang, serta terus diapresiasi. This study aimed to identify the process and purpose of the grave pilgrimage tradition after marriage in Manisa village, Baranti subdisctrict, Sidrap district, South Sulawesi, and also to examine the law of the custom in the view of Islamic law. This research employed a qualitative approach with the field study method (Field Research) and library research. The study shows that: 1. People ini Manisa village after celebrating their wedding they make grave pilgrimage in forms of such as: Determining a certain time according to the agreement of the bride and groom, preparing the necessary preparations such as water, kettles, and pandanus leaves, making ablution before going to the graveyard, praying before entering the cemetery, watering the grave with water mixed with pandanus leaves, holding the gravestone, praying for the late by reciting certain chapters finalized by surah Al-Fatihah. 2. Grave pilgrimage is one of the prescribed acts of worship but it should be in accordance with the guidance of the Prophet. As for what is found in the people of Manisa Urban Village, there are still a number of differences between what they do and what had been exemplified by the Messenger of Allah such as the determination of a special time for the grave pilgrimage, watering the grave, and seeking for blessing from the graves visited.

Abstract: River pollution is a problem that threatens humans, animals and plant. River pollution is often associated with a lack of knowledge about river pollution issue. This issue is also linked to a lack of responsibility in managing the river. This study aims to identify the level of knowledge, attitude and behavior of the residents at River Terengganu. The approach adopted in this study is a quantitative-based on the survey method. The findings show that the level of knowledge, attitude and behavior of residents on the issue of river pollution is moderate. The findings showed that the mean of knowledge, attitudes and behavior are respectively 4.38, 4.72 and 4.70. In conclusion, the people who are living near the river play a major role in maintaining the river's sustainability. So deep understanding is needed as a basis for shaping people's attitudes and behaviors in order to conserve the river. This study has the potential to improve these three elements to face the river pollution issues. Pencemaran sungai yang berlaku banyak dikaitkan dengan kurangnya pengetahuan berkaitan isu pencemaran sungai. Bahkan isu ini turut dikaitkan dengan kurangnya sikap bertanggungjawab dalam menguruskan sungai. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengenalpasti tahap pengetahuan, sikap dan tingkah laku penduduk di Sungai Terengganu. Pendekatan yang digunapakai dalam kajian ini adalah kaedah kuantitatif yang berasaskan kepada kaedah tinjauan. Instrumen yang digunapakai adalah borang soal selidik yang mengandungi empat bahagian. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan tahap pengetahuan, sikap dan tingkah laku penduduk terhadap isu pencemaran sungai berada pada tahap yang sederhana. Hasil kajian mendapati min bagi pengetahuan, sikap dan tingkah laku adalah masing-masing 4.38, 4.70 dan 4.72. Kesimpulannya, masyarakat yang tinggal berhampiran sungai mempunyai peranan yang besar dalam menjaga kelestarian sungai. Maka pemahaman yang mendalam diperlukan sebagai asas untuk membentuk sikap dan tingkah laku masyarakat supaya memulihara sungai. Kajian ini berpotensi untuk meningkatkan ketiga-tiga elemen ini sekiranya berhadapan dengan isu pencemaran sungai. Kata kunci: Pengetahuan, Sikap, Tingkah Laku, Sungai Terengganu

The characters in the novel are a reflection of the human condition in real life. Understanding the personality of a character in a novel means understanding the personality of people too. This provides an opportunity to understand the attitudes and behavior of the people in real life through the personality of characters in literary works. Therefore, the researcher considers to discuss the process of individuation of the main characters in Okky Madasari’s Bound. The present study is literary criticism. This research aims to describe the individuation process of the main characters, Sasana and Jaka. The main characters, want the freedom to express their true identity. Through this novel, Okky Madasari wants to convey that life is a choice. Humans have the freedom to choose what they want to be without the negative side being dominant in a person. Along these lines, we can utilize Analytical Psychology to break down this novel with the idea of the individuation process. It employs the theory of individuation process proposed by Carl Gustav Jung covering several steps to achieve the process of individuation of the main characters. There are four kinds of archetypes in order to acknowledge the individuation process. They are “persona”, “shadow”, “anima and animus”, and “Self”. The results of this study show that the main characters still cannot reach the individuation process well. Sasana and Jaka have not yet reached middle age, so Sasana and Jaka have not reached self-archetype yet, because to achieve self-archetype, the characters must reach middle age first.
