Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a collection of metabolic symptoms that arise in a person caused by an increase in blood glucose due to damage to insulin secretion or resistance to insulin or both. Diabetes mellitus medication can be either parenteral or oral which can cause side effects in long-term use such as mild diarrhea, bloating, fatigue acidosis, even hypoglycemic renal impairment. To prevent it can use alternative medicine using Dayak onion (Eleutherine palmifolia (L) Merr.). One of the active substances contained in the Dayak onion is the flavonoids. Flavonoids have antidiabetic activity through their functions as antioxidants. The study aims to determine the activity of Dayak scallion Extract (Eleutherine palmifolia (L) Merr.) To decrease blood sugar levels (Mus muscullus), which is glucose-induced. The research was conducted with research draft pre and post test with control group design. The mice used amounted to 25 male white mice that were divided into 5 groups i.e. negative control (CMC Na 0.5%), control positive (Glibenklamid 3 mg/kgBB), Dayak onion-leaf ethanol extract at a dose of 50 mg/kgBB, 100 mg/kgBB and 200 mg/kgBB. Observations of the decrease in blood sugar levels of each test group were conducted on the same day, 30 minutes, 60 and 90 after hyperglycemia. Results showed that Dayak onion leaves ethanol extract had activity as a lowering of blood sugar levels in glucose-induced white mice

Diabetes is a disease, in which the body cannot produce enough insulin so that there is excess sugar in the blood which becomes toxic to the body. Ngokilo plants are believed to be able to lower blood sugar levels because of the antioxidants and polyphenols contained therein. The objective of this study was to determine the potential of the ethanol extract of Ngokilo leaves (Stachytarpheta mutabilis, Vahl) as a lowering blood glucose levels in white mice(Rattus norvegicus). The tests were carried out by an experimental method using Swiss Webster male mice (Rattus norvegicus) aged 2-3 months with a body west of 30-40 grams as test animals. This study used four dosage ratios of ngokilo leaf extract, namely 1: 20: 40: 60 and control used aquadest. The results showed that the ethanol extract of Ngokilo leaves had an F value of 27.033> F Table 2.60. It indicates that the independent variable (the difference in the concentration of ethanol extract of Ngokilo leaves) was proven to have a significant effect on the dependent variable (blood sugar levels).

ABSTRACT Diabetes mellitus (DM) in Indonesia is better known as diabetes and in Timor Leste DM known as Ra'an Midar has become a very serious health problem, and is the most common endocrine disease. Diabetes mellitus is a degenerative disease that is characterized by metabolic disorders or pancreatic damage so that the pancreas is unable to produce enough insulin to the maximum so that it can cause insulin deficiency in the body both absolute and relative can increase blood sugar levels or hyperglycemia. Data from the Dili District Health Office in 2018 showed that there were 2690 patients with diabetes mellitus, so that diabetic foot exercises were needed. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Tetum Language Diabetes Foot Gymnastic Education on Lower Circulation and Lower Blood Sugar Levels at the Saude Comoro Center, Dili, Timor Leste. Method : using the Pre-Experiment method. Independent variable: Education of Tetum Language Diabetes Foot Gymnastics Education, dependent variable: Circulation of Lower Extremity and Blood Sugar Level at a Time. Population 100 people, sample 28 people, sample technique: simple random, data collection: Examination of blood sugar levels, blood circulation, statistical tests: Wilcoxon Test. Results : Most respondents who had good blood circulation were 15 pre- test (53.6%) and 18 post-test (64.3%). And the majority of respondents whose blood sugar levels were good were 14 people pre-test (50.0%) and 20 people post test (71.4%). Based on the results of statistical tests using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test, the value of blood circulation is a significant level of 0.005 and the blood sugar level is at a significant level of 0,000. Conclusion : Conclusion there is the influence of Education on Tetun Language Diabetes Foot Gymnastics on Lower Extracurricular Circulation and Blood Sugar Levels At the Saude Comoro Center, Dili, Timor Leste.  Keyword: Leg exercise, lower extremity bloodd circulation, Blood sugar levels, Diabetes mellitus.

Diabetes mellitus constitutes a metabolic disorder indicated by a decrease in insulin secretion, insulin insensitivity, or a combination of both. Golden sea cucumber (Stichopus hermanii) is a natural resource of Indonesian waters with benefit for reducing blood sugar levels. This research aimed to determine the anti-hyperglycemic mechanism of golden sea cucumber. This study used a experimental laboratory research with Post-test Only Control Group. The sample of this study consisted of 25 male rats aged 60-70 days, divided into 5 groups: K(-), K(+), P1, P2, and P3 randomly. Rats from K(+), P1, P2, and P3 groups were injected with streptozotocin (STZ) with a dose of 50 mg/kg BW. Treatment was administered for 21 days. K(-) and K(+) groups were fed normally while P1, P2 and P3 groups were given golden sea cucumber 80% ethanol extract with a dose of 4,25 mg/kgBW/day, 8,50 mg/kgBW/day and 12,75 mg/kgBW/day respectively. On the 22nd day, fasting blood sugar level was measured and the number of pancreatic islet was counted with histopathological examination. The administration of golden sea cucumber (Stichopus hermanii) extract on rats with hyperglycemia does not reduce blood sugar level, but the extract administration increases the number of pancreatic islet. Golden sea cucumber (Stichopus hermanni) extract may improve the number of pancreatic islet and prevent the progressive damage of pancreatic islet.C

Background: Diabetes mellitus (DM) is metabolic disorder syndrome characterized by hyperglycemia due to deficiency of insulin secretion. Patients of diabetic patients increases each year, so it needs proper handling. Corn flour is a source of carbohydrates with a low glycemic index to help reduce the rise in blood sugar levels. In addition, supplementation with tempeh flour containing isoflavones act to protect cells from free radical thereby inhibiting damage cells. Fiber in tempeh affect blood glucose levels because it slows the absorption of glucose. Objective: To determine the effect supplementation of corn flour with tempeh flour on blood sugar levels in diabetes mellitus Wistar rats. Methods: The study was true experimental design with Pre-posttest control group design, samples were 20 male Wistar rats aged 2-3 months were then divided into 4 groups (T0, T1, T2, T3.) T0 was injected with alloxan as 30 mg / 150 grams of BB rats are subsequently treated with standard diet; T1 was dministered by standard diet 50% + 50% corn flour; T2 was administered by standard diet 50% + 30% + corn flour tempeh flour 20%; and T3 was administered by standard diet of corn flour 50% + 15% + 35% tempeh flour for 2 weeks. Blood glucose levels were measured with a glucose kit (GOD FS). Research data were analyzed by One Way ANOVA followed by Tukey's Post Hoc test p-value <0.05.Results: There were significant differences on blood sugar levels in all groups (p = 0.000): control group (only dietary standards), T1 (administered by standard diet 50% + corn flour 50%), T2 (administered by a standard diet 50% + cornstarch 30% tempeh flour + 20%) and T3 (administered by standard diet of corn flour 50% + 15% + 35% tempeh flour). Conclusion: corn flour with tempeh flour supplementation effect on decresing of blood sugar levels.

Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic syndrome most public figures around the globe with events 1-8%. This disease occurs when insulin in insulin production or tidakcukup may not function properly or the amount of insulin enough but it works less well characterized by high levels of sugar in the blood. The Research Design used in this research is experimental design pre test and post test design group, where only when the post test (end) only performed measurements. Research use only post test where observations are conducted as many as 3 times at the time after thera-py/experiment. Observations made after experiment (X 2) called the Post Test. It is known that a group of white male mice strain spreague dawley fed leaves etha-nol extract rambutan (Ficus carica l.), shows a decrease in blood sugar levels better when compared to the Group of esktrak penginduksi with a persimmon the same form of induction of streptozoto-cin. Ethanol extracts of leaves of Rambutan (Nephelium lappaceum) Note can lower the blood sugar levels of 9 mg/dl and persimmon (Diospyros ft L) can lower the blood sugar levels of 5.3 mg/dl, while the leaves of Tin (Ficus carica l.) showed can increase blood sugar levels in mice white male spreague dawley strain induced streptozotocin.Keyword: self-acceptance, chronic kidney failure, hemodialysis.

Background: Diabetes mellitus (DM), a metabolic disorder characterized by an increasing of blood sugar (hyperglycemia). Medication is one of the seven pillars of diabetes managementt. Garlic (Allium sativum), an alternative herb, also has an antidiabetic effect. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of garlic on the blood sugar level in type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methods: This study was a quasi-experimental design with two group post-test design. The participants were DM patients who only take medication without any supplemental herbs. The respondents were divided into two group; intervention group, given antidiabetic drugs and consume garlic 3 pieces of garlic/day for 2 weeks and control group only got antidiabetic drugs. Data were collected by performing blood sugar measurement using glucose-check on all respondents using capillary blood in the fingertips. Second measurement were taken after monitoring the consumption of garlic together with drugs for two weeks. Hypothesis testing used independent T-Test test. Results: The study result found that the average of blood sugar level after administering the treatment is 240 mg/dl in the intervention group, and 284 mg/dl in control group. It can be concluded that the administration of 3 pieces of garlic combining with antidiabetic drugs for 2 weeks has not been able to reduce blood sugar levels into normal limits. Conclusions: This combination found to lowering the blood sugar levels in a significant amount compare to only drugs. The length of the therapy could consider as a significant predictor.
