Abstract: This study aims to describe and explain: (1) the struggle forgender equality of female characters in Ratih Kumala's novel KretekGirl, and (2) educational values in Ratih Kumala's novel Kretek Girl.This type of research is qualitative research. This study used descriptivequalitative method. Qualitative descriptive method is a researchprocedure that produces description data in the form of words. Theresearch data is a novel by Kretek Girl by Ratih Kumala.This study usesa feminism approach to describe the profile of female characters, thestruggle for gender equality, and the sociological approach of literatureto find out about the social conditions of the community in RatihKumala's novel Kretek Girl. The data collection technique used in thisstudy was to read the entire contents of the novel and document analysis.The results of this study are as follows: (1) The struggle for genderequality of female leaders in Ratih Kumala's novel Kretek Gadis isagainst forms of gender injustice in the form of (a) stereotypes, (b)marginalization of women, (c) subordination of work, and (d) internalviolence household. (2) Ratih Kumala's novel Kretek Girls educationalvalues include: (a) the value of religious education that emphasizesbetween humans and God, (b) the value of social education refers to therelationship of individuals to other individuals in a society (c) the valueof education morals that relate to the good or bad of human behavior,and (d) the value of cultural / customary education that is related totradition, people's habits.

Artikel ini akan membahas nilai pendidikan pantun besaot di cyberspace. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, dengan datasekunder  berupa pantun yang bersumber dari laman facebook. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian menggunakan teknik analisis dokumen. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian menggunakan concent analyis (analisis isi) dengan mengungkap, memahami, dan menangkap pesan karya sastra.  Berdasarkan hasil kajian terhadap 6 pantun besaot yang di dapat di laman facebook dalam grup “Bangka Yoh” yang diunggah oleh akun yang bernama Budi Js, diketahui bahwa pantun besaot memiliki nilai pendidikan sebagai berikut: (1) nilai pendidikan religi, (2) nilai pendidikan moral, (3) nilai pendidikan sosial dan (4) nilai pendidikan budaya.Katakunci: pantun, nilai pendidikan, facebookAbstract:This article will discuss the value of pantun besaot education in cyberspace. The data collection technique used in the study was document analysis techniques. Data analysis techniques in research use content analysis (content analysis) by revealing, understanding, and capturing messages of literary works. Based on the results of a study of 6 besaot rhymes obtained on the Facebook page in the "Bangka Yoh" group uploaded by an account named Budi Js, it is known that the besaot pantun has the following educational values: (1) the value of religious education, (2) the value of education moral, (3) the value of social education and (4) the value of cultural education.Keywords: pantun , educational values, facebook

This paper focuses on the world view of the author in the Mangalua’s novel by Idris Pasaribu and the author's world view of social reality as depicted in the Mangalua’s novel by Idris Pasaribu. This study used a qualitative descriptive method with a sociological literature approach. The data collection technique was carried out by document analysis, while the data analysis used descriptive qualitative methods. The results showed that this novel contains the social context in the novel which is depicted through the main character, social structure, marriage customs, and religion. The results of the analysis of social context with the approach of genetic structuralism in the novel, found that the author's world view is influenced by background, experience and insight, as well as social groups.

This paper was the result of a qualitative research used sociology of literature approach.  by descriptive method describing the social stratification in Bumi Manusia by Pramoedya Ananta Toer’s. The Data  had descriptively analyzed by literature sociological theory, particularly through Social Stratification Theory. The Social Stratification points to the element of social level  which consists of ascribed status and achieved status. Thus, the result describes the social stratification that occurs in the novel Bumi Manusia as ascribed status and achieved status. Finally, there are several determinants which constructing social stratification. Those factors are: power, marriage, attitude, resistance, struggle, effort or hardwork. Artikel ini merupakan hasil penelitian kualitatif yang menggunakan pendekatan sosiologi sastra melalui penerapan metode deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan stratifikasi sosial yang tampak dalam novel Bumi Manusia karya Pramoedya Ananta Toer. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif dengan menggunakan perspektif teori sosiologi sastra, khususnya teori stratifikasi sosial. Stratifikasi sosial menyasar pada unsur kedudukan yang terdiri atas ascribed status (status alamiah) dan achieved status (status yang diusahakan). Sebagai temuan, artikel ini mendeskripsikan stratifikasi sosial yang terjadi dalam novel Bumi Manusia yaitu berupa unsur kedudukan ascribed status (status alamiah) dan achieved status (status yang diusahakan) dan terdapat beberapa determina dalam membentuk stratifikasi sosial  yaitu kekuasaan, pernikahan, sikap, perlawanan, perjuangan, usaha, dan kerja keras.

This research aims to examine in depth the role of women in two novel Garis Perempuan and Tempurung.  The role of women in the field of social, cultural, educational, and economic conteks. Then to compare all those roles and summed and find the relevance in education.This study used a qualitative descriptive method with a structural approach and the approach of comparative literature that discusses. 1) a description of each character, setting, and plot lines in the both novels. (2) the roles of women in the field of socio-cultural, educational, and economic,3) comparison of the role of women in the those two novels, (4) the relevance of the role of women in education. The research data in the form of a statement  contains of sentences or paragraphs include narrative, dialogue or monologue, as well as interviews with researcher colleagues.Novel Garis Perempuan and Tempurung tells about the struggle of women in playing their roles in various fields such as the social field of culture, education, and economics.In order to play those  roles they have to choose; worth of free choice or value. The role of women as mothers was found to be a figure or a model of all those women in struggle. Penilitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara mendalam peran perempuan dalam novel Garis Perempuan dan novel Tempurung. Peran perempuan dibidang sosial budaya, pendidikan, dan ekonomi, lalu membandingkan peran-peran tersebut kemudian menyimpulkan dan menarik relevansinya dengan pendidikan.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan struktural dan pendekatan sastra bandingan yang membahas tentang (1) deskripsi masing-masing tokoh, latar, dan alaur novel Garis Perempuan dan novel Tempurung, (2) peran-peran perempuan dibidang sosial budaya, pendidikan, dan ekonomi, (3) perbandingan peran perempuan di dua novel, (4) relevansi peran perempuan dengan pendidikan. Data penelitian berupa pernyataan yang berupa kalimat atau paragraf yang berupa narasi, dialog, ataupun monolog, serta wawancara peneliti dengan rekan sejawat.Novel Garis Perempuan dan novel Tempurung mengisahkan tentang perjuangan perempuan dalam memerankan perannya diberbagai bidang seperti dibidang sosial budaya, pendidikan, dan ekonomi. Dalam rangka memerankan peran ini mereka harus memilih; pilihan senilai atau bebas nilai. Peran perempuan sebagai ibu ternyata dapat menjadi figur atau contoh dalam sebuah perjuangan.

A work has a distinctive existence by showing the differences of human fajta, namely the social and economic system. In addition, a work containing cultural undue will be closely related to the customs of certain norms and beliefs. This can be seen in the novel titled KKN In Dancer Village which contains mystical and mythical values using the study of literary anthropology nyoman Kutha Ratna theory. One form of the author's expression is his imaginative thinking and intuition about the points of mystical values and myths that exist in the novel and what it has to do with the real world. Literary anthropology is used to analyze these oin-points. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques using note-reading techniques and library study techniques. The results of literary anthropology research with mimesis approach show as follows. First, some of the pieces of the story experienced by the characters are directed at mystical things that then give rise to myths that are finally believed by the characters in the story. Second, the mystical values and myths that occur in each piece of the story sometimes occur and appear in the real world. That means it does happen in the real world, not just fiction. Abstrak Sebuah karya memiliki eksistensi yang khas dengan memperlihatkan perbedaan dari fakta manusia, yaitu sistem sosial dan ekonomi. Selain itu, sebuah karya yang mengandung unsur kebudayaan akan berkaitan erat dengan adat istiadat norma-norma dan kepercayaan tertentu. Hal ini terlihat dalam novel berjudul KKN Di Desa Penari yang memuat nilai mistis dan mitos dengan menggunakan kajian antropologi sastra teori Nyoman Kutha Ratna. Salah satu wujud ekspresi pengarang ialah pemikiran dan intuisi imajinatifnya mengenai poin-poin nilai mistis dan mitos yang ada dalam novel dan apa saja hubungannya dengan dunia nyata. Antropologi sastra digunakan untuk menganalisis poin-poin tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik baca catat dan teknik studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian antropologi sastra dengan pendekatan mimesis menunjukkan sebagai berikut. Pertama, beberapa penggalan cerita yang dialami oleh para tokoh mrngarah pada hal mistis yang kemudian menimbulkan mitos yang akhirnya diyakini oleh para tokoh dalam cerita. Kedua, nilai mistis dan mitos yang terjadi dalam setiap penggalan cerita terkadang terjadi dan muncul pada dunia nyata. Itu artinya hal tersebut memang terjadi pula dalam dunia nyata bukan hanya cerita fiksi saja. Kata Kunci : Antropologi Sastra, Nilai Mistis, Dan Mitos

Colonial Era Education in Siedjah Novel Written by Nico Vink (Literarure Sociology Study) ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan potret pendidikan, fakta sejarah, latar belakang sosial budaya masyarakat, dan nilai-nilai pendidikan yang terkandung dalam novel Siedjah karya Nico Vink. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode content analysis atau analisis isi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Metode ini menghasilkan data deskriptif berupa data tertulis maupun lisan tentang nilai-nilai pendidikan dalam unsur sosiologi. Metode ini digunakan untuk menelaah isi dari suatu dokumen. Dokumen dalam penelitian ini adalah novel Siedjah karya Nico Vink. Dalam hal ini peneliti mendeskripsikan data yang berkaitan dengan nilai-nilai pendidikan dalam lingkup sosiologi sastra. Hasil temuan dalam penelitian ini meliputi nilai-nilai pendidikan pada era kolonialisme yang berangkat dari fakta sejarah yang diceritakan ulang oleh tokoh utama Siedjah. Tokoh utama memandang sistem kolonialisme merupakan sistem terpadu yang dilakukan untuk kepentingan tertentu demi menaikkan citra sosial yaitu sebagai kaum pendidik.Kata kunci: Siedjah, Nico Vink, nilai pendidikan, sosiologi sastra, kolonialismeABSTRACTThis study aims to describe the portrait of education, historical facts, the socio-cultural background of the community, and the educational values contained in the novel Siedjah written by Nico Vink. This research is a qualitative descriptive study using content analysis method. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. This method produces descriptive data in the form of written and oral data about the values of education in sociological elements. This method is used to examine the contents of document. The document in this research is the novel Siedjah by Nico Vink. In this case, the researcher describes the data related to the values of education in the sociology of literature. The findings in this study include the values of education in the colonialism era, which begin from historical facts that are retold by the main character Siedjah. The aim of this research is to describe middle class women role in the 19th century in Bronte’s novel, Wuthering Heights, and induce a deeper understanding of effect each role on two characters in society. This research is a qualitative descriptive method using sociological approach. By using sociology of literature, a literary work is seen as a document of social. The data of this research collected from the descriptions and utterances of the characters and narrator in the novel. The result in this research shows that the role of women from the middle class were represented by the characters of the novel known as Catherine Earnshaw Linton, the main female protagonist and the motherless child and also Catherine (Cathy) Linton, daughter of Catherine Earnshaw Linton.

<p>ABSTRAK<br /> <br /> Penelitian ini menganalisis nilai pendidikan dalam novel Ranah 3 Warna karya Ahmad Fuadi yang meliputinilai pendidikan agama, moral, adat/budaya, dan sosial. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan nilaipendidikan novel Ranah 3 Warna karya Ahmad Fuadi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Datayang digunakan berupa kutipan langsung maupun tidak langsung dari teks novel Ranah 3 Warna karya Ahmad Fuadi.Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah studi pustaka dan observasi. Instrumen penelitian ini adalahpeneliti sendiri. Analisis data dilakukan dengan metode analisis isi. Penyajian hasil analisis menggunakan teknikpenyajian informal. Hasil penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa tema novel Ranah 3 Warna karya Ahmad Fuadi adalahperjuangan Alif demi meraih impian dan cita-cita dengan segala keterbatasan. Nilai pendidikan dalam novel Ranah 3Warna ada empat, yaitu nilai pendidikan agama meliputi beribadah, berdoa, bersyukur, tawakal, ikhlas, dan sabar,nilai pendidikan moral meliputi tekad kuat, pantang menyerah, sungguh-sungguh, kerja keras, rajin belajar, mampumengendalikan diri, disiplin, jujur, tanggung jawab, kreatif, nasionalisme, percaya diri, dan prasangka baik, nilai<br />pendidikan adat/budaya meliputi melestarikan kesenian tradisional dan melestarikan budaya berpantun, nilaipendidikan sosial meliputi tolong-menolong, berbakti kepada orang tua, setia kawan, persahabatan, kasih sayang,memberi semangat, dermawan, musyawarah, dan rela berkorban.</p><p>Kata Kunci: nilai pendidikan, karya sastra, novel</p><p>ABSTRACT <br />This study analyze the value of education in the novel Ranah 3 Warna Ahmad Fuadi's work which includes the value<br />of religious, moral, custom/cultural, and social education. The data used in the<br />form of direct or indirect quotations from the text of the Ranah 3 Color novel by Ahmad Fuadi. Data collection<br />techniques in this research are literature study and observation. The research instrument is the researcher himself.<br />Data analysis was performed using the content analysis method. Presentation of analysis results using informal<br />presentation techniques. The results of this study concluded that the theme of the Ranah 3 Color novel by Ahmad<br />Fuadi was Alif's struggle to achieve dreams and ideals with all limitations. There are four educational values in the </p><p>Ranah 3 Color novel, namely the value of religious education including worship, prayer, gratitude, trust, sincerity,<br />and patience, the value of moral education includes determination, unyielding, earnestly, hard work, diligent learning,<br />being able to control self, discipline, honest, responsibility, creative, nationalism, self-confidence, and good prejudice,<br />the value of traditional / cultural education includes preserving traditional arts and preserving the culture of rhyming,<br />the value of social education includes help, helping, serving parents, loyal friends, friendship, compassion,<br />encouragement, generosity, deliberation, and willing to sacrifice.</p><p>Keywords: educational values, novel</p>

Aishworo Ang, pengarang yang berasal dari Gunungkidul mengemukakan tanggapan dan sindiran sebagai wujud ketidakpuasan dan ketidaksetujuannya pada beberapa fenomena sosial yang ada di dalam novel keduanya, Mars. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap dan mendeskripsikan kritik sosial yang terdapat dalam novel Mars. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan sosiologi sastra. Dari hasil pembahasan dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada banyak kritik sosial yang ada di novel Mars. Kritik sosial tersebut meliputi kritik terhadap kekuasaan, kritik terhadap kinerja pemerintah, kritik terhadap oknum politisi, kritik terhadap pemberian nama, kritik terhadap sistem pendidikan, kritik terhadap tenaga pendidik, dan kritik terhadap penyalahgunaan tradisi.Aishworo Ang, an author from Gunungkidul, expressed his responses and satire as a form of dissatisfaction and disagreement about some of the social phenomena in his second novel, Mars. This study aims to reveal and describe social criticism contained in the novel Mars. Data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive methods using the sociological approach to literature. From the results of the discussion it can be concluded that there are many social criticisms in the Mars novel. These social criticisms include criticism of power, criticism of government performance, criticism of politicians, criticism of naming, criticism of the education system, criticism of educators, and criticism of abuse of tradition.

The purpose of this study is to describe (1) the values of social education, (2) the values of religious education, and (3) the values of cultural education in the novelThe Thief of Color Because Allah Loves Yersita's works. The design of this study used a qualitative descriptive method with the Receptive Pragmatic approach. Qualitative methods pay attention to natural data, data in relation to the context of its existence. The results of the study show that the values of social education include character education: teachers as inspirators, understanding children's character, values of national character, education are very important. The values of religious education include prayer, prayer, forgiveness, do not blame each other, friendship, giving names and ihlash. Cultural education values include applying culture, corruption culture, threatening culture, and demonstration culture. Some of the cultures performed by the characters in the novel are a reflection of everyday life.
