Human society is built on communication. Everyone can speak, but not everyone can successfully speak in front of an audience. In the process of public speaking, the speaker has to solve many important tasks simultaneously: to monitor his speech content, to maintain contact with the audience, to manage his body, voice and emotions. A real speaker must know the most advanced methods of constructing speech, be able to express their thoughts clearly and build them in an exact sequence, be convincing, be able to speak concisely, impressively, figuratively. He must be able to attract attention with his appearance, his natural abilities, and the way he speaks and holds himself. For teachers, communication is not only a need and necessity, but also a tool, the main professional tool, and communication skills, knowledge of the basic provisions of the theory of communication, along with special abilities, form the basis of professional competence. The performance should be the work of art that affects the feelings of listeners and their consciousness. To this end, the performances use the technique of "infection" with internal visions (visualization), which is understood as the ability to use vivid images in speech that make the subject of speech brighter, more tangible, and more understandable to convey the idea to the listener. Drawing pictures in the minds of listeners, creating bright and living images using descriptions, metaphors, comparisons, analogies, etc., allows you to make a much greater impact on the audience.

This descriptive qualitative study investigated the undergraduate students' perception in public speaking class that conducted formative peer feedback, especially for undergraduate students who learned the subject at State Islamic University Jakarta. This study revealed the undergraduate students’ perception about the implementation of formative peer feedback in assessing their formative public speaking class. Besides, the authors provided an open-ended questionnaire and semi-structured interview to know how applicable the formative peer feedback for undergraduate students, which part that students interested in when they assess their friends, and identify students’ feelings when used the formative peer feedback in public speaking class. Concerning the results of the study, the writers discovered that formative peer feedback is very beneficial for the undergraduate student in the learning process of the public speaking class. While doing the assessment, most undergraduate students seem more interested in assessing their peer's body language and speech content. In addition, the result that the writers got from the investigation was 62.5% that claimed their peer’s feedback was very objective. Other than that, when using the formative peer feedback in the public speaking class, 65.6% of undergraduate learners were feeling satisfied.

This paper concentrates on the area of special educational support provided to individuals living in homes for people with disabilities in the Czech Republic and presents partial research results illustrating the state of the provision of speech therapy to users of social services facilities falling under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs. The subject of the research is an analysis of support for the development of the communication skills of pupils living in social services facilities. The partial results of the research outline the approaches employed by the managerial staff of the given facilities in implementing special educational procedures, describe forms of speech therapy provision in homes for people with disabilities, and compare the attitudes of teachers and social services staff to the development of communication with the importance attributed to it by speech therapists and demonstrated by the case studies performed.

From this point of view, linguistics, first of all, reveals the essence of linguistic poetics, determines the degree of its residence in the language, literature, reveals the subject of study, development, teaching, and connections with other branches of science. This article examines the phonetic micropoetics of the language of a work of art, and also analyzes the nature of phonetic phenomena used in a work of art, using specific examples.

The purpose of this study is to determine whether Cumhuriyet University Faculty of Education students’ levels of speaking anxiety are predicted by the variables of gender, department, grade, such sub-dimensions of “Speaking Self-Efficacy Scale for Pre-Service Teachers” as “public speaking”, “effective speaking”, “applying the speaking rules”, “organizing the speech content”, and “evaluating the speech”. Correlational survey model is employed in the study. While the dependent variable of the study is students’ “speaking anxiety”, its independent variables are gender, department, grade, and such sub-dimensions of “Speaking Self-Efficacy Scale for Pre-Service Teachers” as “public speaking”, “effective speaking”, “applying the speaking rules”, “organizing the speech content”, and “evaluating the speech”. The research population consists of 2983 students studying at seven departments of Faculty of Education of Cumhuriyet University in the 2015-2016 academic year. The research sample, on the other hand, is composed of 1057 students from seven departments of Faculty of Education of Cumhuriyet University. Data were collected via “Scale of Speaking Anxiety for Prospective Teachers”, which was developed by Kınay and Özkan (2014) to determine pre-service teachers’ speaking anxiety, and “Speaking Self-Efficacy Scale for Pre-Service Teachers”, which was developed by Katrancı and Melanlıoğlu (2013) to determine pre-service teachers’ speaking self-efficacy. Data were collected through ordinal logistic regression analysis as the dependent variable was made three-category and ordinal through cluster analysis. According to the logistic regression analysis results, gender, department, such sub-dimensions of “Speaking Self-Efficacy Scale for Pre-Service Teachers” as “public speaking” and “applying the speaking rules” have a significant influence on speaking anxiety.

The article identifies the structure of translator’s professional competence, grounds its model and suggests the ways of its implementation. The following sub-competences necessary to be acquired by future translators have been identified and analyzed with the aim of providing best training: linguistic competence, intercultural competence, subject (thematic) competence, instrumental competence, psychophysiological competence, interpersonal competence, strategic competence, self-reflection competence. The role of the subject (thematic) competence for specialized translation is analyzed. The ways of the translator’s professional competence model implementation are highlighted.

This article seeks to an approach between the poetry of Carlos Drummond de Andrade, in Feeling of the world (1940), and the philosophy of Albert Camus, in The Myth of Sisyphus - the work of art as adventure of a spiritual destiny (2012), for, to think through by the language praticed by Drummond in two poems – Poem of necessity and Holding hands –, the be in the world and the passing of the man's condition of the being ontic to the be ontological, using also Durand (2012) and another theorists. Making use, as methodology, by the bibliographical research, and theory express of poetic text, concepts and analysis based on the phenomenological critique. Still in an interdisciplinary approach, to reflect the subject and its constitution as speech, will use theories of French line of discourse analysis (DA) and the line Anglo-Saxon (ADC), whose leading exponents are respectively, Michel Pêcheux and Norman Fairclough, relying on the concept of dialectical materialism. O Homem Absurdo na filosofia camusiana e na poesia drummondiana: a linguagem como fonte da (trans)formação Este artigo busca aproximações entre a poesia de Carlos Drummond de Andrade, em Sentimento do Mundo (1940), e a filosofia de Albert Camus, em O mito de Sísifo – a obra de arte como aventura de um destino espiritual (2012), para, por meio da linguagem praticada por Drummond em dois poemas – Poema da necessidade e Mãos dadas –, pensar o estar no mundo e a passagem do homem da condição de ser ôntico para ser ontológico, valendo-se, também, de Durand (2012) e de outros teóricos. Utiliza, como metodologia, a pesquisa bibliográfica e expressa teorias do texto poético, conceitos e análises com base na crítica fenomenológica. Ainda, numa atitude interdisciplinar, para refletir sobre o sujeito e sua constituição como discurso, baseia-se nas teorias da Análise de Discurso de linha francesa (AD) e de linha anglo-saxã (ADC), cujos principais expoentes são, respectivamente, Michel Pêcheux e Norman Fairclough, apoiando-se na concepção do materialismo dialético.

This research focused on the urgency of teachers’ communication competence in inculcating multicultural values at elementary schools, in this case, the inclusive elementary school of Trirenggo, Yogyakarta. Communication skills are an essential competency for teachers as stated in the Regulation of the Minister of Education No. 16 of 2007 dated May 4th, 2007. Teachers, as communicators, are the main factor in establishing effective communication in the learning process. In this case, a teacher with excellent communication skills would substantially determine a school’s success in the implementation of multicultural values. In order to analyze the subject, this study used a qualitative method, and the data were collected from three respondents from the inclusive elementary school of Trirenggo, Yogyakarta. The results indicated that teachers’ communication competency which consisted of three aspects, i.e. motivation, knowledge, and skills, was urgently required in order to achieve teaching goals. A competent teacher would significantly be able to establish a positive atmosphere and influence among students, thus, enable them to effectively inculcate the designated values. At this school, the multicultural values were integrated into teaching subjects, students’ assessment, specified learning methods, character development, and regular group activities.

À la recherche du temps perdu est l’histoire d’une crise identitaire, celle d’un sujet qui souhaite écrire, mais n’y arrive pas. Au Temps retrouvé, c’est la révélation finale : le narrateur a enfin compris certaines lois, qu’il devra observer et traduire avec son « télescope », c’est-à-dire avec son œuvre d’art entendue comme instrument ou comme machine. Ainsi, le personnage proustien est contraint à créer un dispositif original pour parler de soi, une nouvelle herméneutique du sujet, ce qui fait de la Recherche la première vraie autofiction avant la lettre. L’autofiction proustienne, par son travail sur notre « moi profond », combat la crise identitaire et le nihilisme pour proposer un nouveau montage des identités.AbstractRemembrance of things past is the story of an identity crisis, that of a subject who wishes to write, but does not succeed. With Time regained, it is the final revelation: the narrator finally understood certain laws, that he will have to observe and translate with his “telescope”, that is with his work of art, taken as an instrument or a machine. Thus, the proustian character is forced to create an original device to tell about oneself, a new hermeneutics of the subject, which makes Remembranceof things past the first true autofiction, before its time. The proustian autofiction, by its work on our “inner self”, fights identity crisis and nihilism to propose a new editing of the identities.
