Background: Interprofessional education (IPE) is important to create effective interprofessional collaboration also improve quality of health care. Student readiness and perception of IPE will influence the implementation of IPE. This study aimed to analyze an overview, factors that influence and obstacles related to students' readiness and perception of the application of IPE in Indonesia. Methods: Literature reviews with multi-step literature searched on IPE from online databases such as ProQuest; ScienceDirect; SpringerLink and Google scholars by applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Samples of 8 studies met the criteria and then analyzed for the study. Results: Most of students have a positive perception and readiness for IPE. Factors influencing students' readiness and perception such as motivation; study program options; student cognitive level; culture; initial clinical experience / exposure; IPE experience in the curriculum; and the readiness of lectures. Conclusion: It is necessary to find a solution in anticipating obstacles in encouraging students' readiness and perception of the application of IPE in Indonesia, including unclear role constraints (role blurring) and the stigma of feeling inferior compared to other health professions.

Total sampling taken with the number of 53 respondents. Data wereanalyzed using Regressoni Logistik Biner.Results show, it can be concluded that the student perceptions of instructional IPE in D-IIIstatus of Acupuncture, Acupuncture Health Polytechnic Department of Minister of Healthof Surakarta who are 36 people (92.31%) gave a good perception, and 3 people (7,69%)gave a average perception.Perceptin lecture of D-III Acupuncture study program,Acupuncture Health Polytechnic Department of Minister of Health of Surakarta who are12 people (85.7%) gave a good perception and 2 people (14,3%) gave averageperception.Keywords: Interprofessional Education (IPE), perception, students and lecturer

Abstrak Latar Belakang: Interprofessional Collaboration adalah kerja sama berbagai profesi kesehatan dalam bentuk tim yang memiliki tujuan untuk meningkatkan kesehatan pasien dengan batasan atau kewenangan masing-masing profesi. Untuk menghasilkan kolaborasi yang efektif perlu suatu teknik pembelajaran yaitu Interprofessional Education (IPE) yang mempelajari kompetensi-kompetensi kolaborasi sehingga dapat diterapkan dalam praktik kerja yang sebenarnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis persepsi mahasiswa yang telah mengikuti uji coba IPE di Universitas Airlangga. Metode: Jenis penelitian ini adalah analisis deskriptif dengan pendekatan cross sectional menggunakan teknik total sampling. Besar sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 60 mahasiswa Universitas Airlangga angkatan 2016 yang meliputi Program Studi Pendidikan Dokter, Pendidikan Dokter Gigi, Kebidanan, Pendidikan  Ners, Farmasi, dan Kesehatan Masyarakat. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner Interprofessional Education Perception Scale. Untuk mengetahui karakteristik responden dilakukan analisis univariat dan tingkat signifikan perbedaan median persepsi setiap program studi terhadap masing-masing komponen persepsi dengan Kruskal Walis pada tingkat α=0,05. Hasil: Sebagian besar responden (93,3%) memiliki persepsi baik terhadap IPE. Terdapat perbedaan persepsi mahasiswa antar program studi pada komponen persepsi kebutuhan untuk bekerjasama (p<0,001) dan komponen persepsi tentang bekerjasama yang sesungguhnya (p=0,003). Kesimpulan: secara umum mahasiswa yang mengikuti uji coba IPE memiliki persepsi baik. Ada perbedaan bermakna pada komponen persepsi kebutuhan untuk bekerjasama dan komponen persepsi tentang bekerjasama yang sesungguhnya. Diperlukan perbaikan metode pembelajaran IPE pada komponen kebutuhan untuk bekerjasama dan kompone persepsi tentang bekerasama yang sesungguhnya.Abstract Background: Interprofessional Collaboration is the collaboration of various health professions as a team that aims to improve the health of patients with the limitations or authority of each profession. In order to create an effective collaboration, a learning techniue is needed, namely Interprofessional Education (IPE), where competencies collaborative are studied so that they can be applied in actual work practices. This study aims to analyze the perceptions of students who have taken IPE trials at Airlangga University. Methods: This study aimed descriptive with cross sectional approach. The sample used was 60 students enrollment batch of 2016 majoring in Medical, Dentistry, Midwifery, Nursing, Pharmaceutical, and Public Health study programs with total sampling technique. Data were collected using the Interprofessional Education Perception Scale questionnaire to find out the characteristics of respondents using univariate analysis and significant level of difference in the median perception of each study program on each component of perception using Kruskal Wallis test at the level of α=0.05. Results: the results of the study revealed that most respondents had good perceptions of IPE (93.3%). There were perceptions differences among students of different study programs on the need for collaboration (p<0.001) and actual cooperation (p=0,003). Conclusions: In general, students who took the IPE trial had good perceptions. There were significant differences in the perception component of the need to collaborate and the perception component of actual collaboration. It is necessary to improve the IPE learning method in the perception components of the needs for collaboration and actual cooperation.

Interprofessional collaboration plays a vital role in improving patient outcomes. The ability to work with professionals from different disciplines is considered a critical element of interprofessional practice. In this article, a case of a patient with upper gastrointestinal tract hemorrhage in a gastrointestinal unit is reported and analyzed from the perspective of interprofessional practice. Strategies are also introduced in the article. Enhancing mutual understanding and communication skills is conductive to interprofessional collaboration. Meanwhile, interprofessional education, as another strategy, is proved to improve the quality of health care by enhancing the cooperation among different medical team members.

<div class="page" title="Page 1"><div class="section"><div class="layoutArea"><div class="column"><p><span>Systematic literature reviews (SLR) have reached a considerable level of adoption in Software Engineering (SE), how-ever protocol adaptations for its implementation remain tangentially addressed. This work provides a chronological framework for the use and adaptation of the SLR protocol, including its current status. A systematic literature search was performed, reviewing a set of twelve articles being selected in accordance with the inclusion and exclusion criteria between 2004 and 2013, using digital data sources recognized by the SE community. A chronological framework is provided that includes the current state of the protocol adaptations to conduct SLR in SE. The results indicate areas where the quantity and quality of investigations needs to be increased and the identi- fication of the main proposals providing adaptations for the protocol conducting SLR in SE. </span></p></div></div></div></div>

This study aims to identify the effect of Relevance and Conformity on Acceptance of the T3P Module (Technology, Pedagogy, Psychology, Assessment). This study is in a descriptive form using the review method. The population of this study is the National Middle School (SMK) teachers in the North Zone. As many as 60 teachers were selected as the study sample using the purposive sampling. The T3P module and search questions are used as study instruments. The research question is adapted from independent studies and literature reviews. The results of the pilot study showed a high Cronbach Alpha value (0.90). The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and regression. The study results show that the Relevance and Conformity variables have a significant effect on the Acceptance of the T3P Module. The result of the study implies that the modules for Teacher Professionalism Development based on Lifelong Learning need to be reproduced to increase the potential and self-competence of teachers and strengthen the quality of state education.

Interprofessional collaboration (IPC) among health care professionals has been identified as essential to enhance patient care. Interprofessional education (IPE) is a key strategy towards promoting IPC. Several factors including the nature of facilitation shape the IPE experience and outcomes for students. Stereotypes held by students have been recognized as a challenge for IPE and IPC. This study aimed to explore institutional rules and regulations that shape facilitators’ work in IPE interactions problematized by students’ stereotypes at a university in Atlantic Canada. Employing institutional ethnography as a method of investigation, data were collected through observations, interviews, focus groups, and written texts (such as course syllabi). Participants included three facilitators, two undergraduate nursing students, and two IPE committee members of an IPE program. Findings revealed four work processes conducted by facilitators in local IPE settings related to students’ stereotypes. These processes were shaped by translocal discourse and included the work used to form teams, facilitate student introductions to team members, facilitate team dynamics, and provide course content and context. Study results included the identification of several strategies to address student stereotypes and enhance collaboration, including directions for future curriculum decisions and the pedagogical organization of IPE.

Abstract Objective Inadequate deliberation processes about ethical problems occurring in palliative care settings may negatively impact both patients and healthcare professionals. Better knowledge of the palliative care professionals’ practices regarding such processes could help identify specific education needs to improve the quality of palliative care in the context of complex ethical situations. Therefore, this descriptive study aimed to (1) examine ethical deliberation processes in interprofessional teams in five palliative care settings; (2) identify organizational factors that constrain such processes; and (3) based on this knowledge, identify priority education needs for future and current palliative care professionals. Method The study involved three data collection activities: (1) direct observation of simulated interprofessional ethical deliberations in various palliative care settings; (2) individual semi-structured interviews; and (3) deliberative dialogues. Results Thirty-six healthcare professionals took part in the simulated ethical deliberations and in the deliberative dialogue activities, and 13 were met in an individual interview. The study results revealed suboptimal interprofessional collaboration and ethical deliberation competencies, particularly regarding awareness of the ethical issue under consideration, clarification of conflicting values, reasonable decision making, and implementation planning. Participants also reported facing serious organizational constraints that challenged ethical deliberation processes. Significance of results This study confirmed the need for professional education in interprofessional collaboration and ethical deliberation so that palliative care professionals can adequately face current and future ethical challenges. It also enabled the identification of educational priorities in this regard. Future research should focus on identifying promising educational activities, assessing their effectiveness, and measuring their impact on patient and family experience and the quality of palliative care.

Microbiology course is one of the compulsory subjects in the study program of education. This course requires implemented in two activities that is theory and practical. Limitations of equipment and materials in practical activities, the lack of detailed practical instructions for each topic, as well as the implementation of lab activities less systematically make this activity less than optimal. The development of psychomotor abilities and performance of students who are less maximized become another problem related to the achievement of learning objectives in accordance with the standards of competence in this course. Based on the above problems the researchers conducted a study on lab activities based lesson study. Selection of lesson study is done to correct deficiencies in each study appears from some observers and colleagues who participated in the activities of lesson study. Results from this study that practical activities based lesson study is able to improve the quality of learning and improving biology education students psychomotor ability at IKIP Budi Utomo Malang

SUMMARY OBJECTIVE The objective of this article was to conduct a systematic review of the treatment of moderate-to-severe asthma by administrating Dupilumab. METHODS A search on the online databases EBSCO, Scielo, PubMed, Medline Bireme, Lilacs, and The New England Journal of Medicine was conducted, publications from 2010 to 2018 were selected. The inclusion criteria were articles which contained control groups, tested the validity of Dupilumab, and verified the response of patients through controlled tests. For the search of such articles, the following keywords were used: “Dupilumab”, “asthma”, “Bronchial Asthma” AND “Asthma, Bronchial” AND their correspondent in Portuguese “asma”, “Asma brônquica” and “Asma brônquica”. The exclusion criteria were literature reviews, news, articles without control groups, articles on different subjects, Dupilumab studies on other diseases, articles concerning asthma without the use of Dupilumab, and repeated articles on the databases were discarded. RESULTS The literature considers that the medication shows a good response for the treatment of moderate-to-severe asthma and assists in the improvement of lung function, aside from resulting in few side effects. It presents good efficacy, safety, and tolerance by patients. CONCLUSIONS Dupilumab is promising for the treatment of asthma, whereas conventional therapy is deemed to be insufficient. More additional studies are needed to confirm the long-term safety and effectiveness.

AbstractAfter five years of experience in interprofessional education (IPE) in the Bachelor programs occupational therapy, midwifery, nursing, speech therapy, and physiotherapy at the University of Applied Sciences in Bochum (Germany), we have systematically evaluated and substantially revised our IPE concept in 2014/15. The structural and curricular embedding of IPE throughout the course of the five Bachelor programs requires the development and ongoing evolution of a binding concept for the interprofessional competence development. This concept needs to be based on a systematic reflection of current practice and sound scientific knowledge concerning interprofessional topics. Furthermore, it needs to address the promotion of competencies to act inter- and transprofessionally to enable a high quality of care (Wissenschaftsrat, 2012; Walkenhorst, 2012). Results of narrative literature reviews, structured internal discussions, interviews of experts and various internal and external evaluations have been incorporated into a new conceptual framework for IPE. It has been shown that a revision of the structure, the temporal sequences of modules and the framework to facilitate interprofessional practice are essential steps for continuous development of interprofessional education. In addition, barriers and challenges are identified and discussed. Overall, the process of development has been coordinated and accompanied continuously and successfully by an IPE committee involving different groups of representative members from the Department of Applied Health Sciences.
