The article deals with the events of the Civil War in the representations of Altai residents, as a concept of historical memory, expressed in categories «the world of man in history» and «the world of history in man». The subject of the study are the situations of intertwining of several discourses: «officially-heroic» and «living», «personal». An attempt was made to comprehend the local history heritage and materials of oral sources, as well as to correlate them with archival documents that tell about the events of 1919–1920 in the Altai, allowing to investigate the social and psychological manifestations of the Civil War.

The social priorities of literature are the tribune of environmental idiology. Today, in the Mongolian literature, the direction of ecocriticism has been established. This article makes an analysis in traditional Mongolian poetry and modern poetry on the topic of nature conservation and ecology. In Mongolian folklore praise the purity of nature and the motherland. His idol of pure nature is praise and praise. But each species has its own color. The topic of nature protection in Mongolian folklore (Orthodoxy, Magtaal-praise, Tuul-epic, du-folk songs and myth) is that a person should not control and control nature but understand and convert to nature as a living creature; means that people will have a natural relationship, a balanced and safe life. Probably, there is not a single poet of Mongolia who does not address the topic of “man and nature”. Each in its own way perceives nature, and each in its own way revealing to the reader the world of nature and himself in this world. The space of the “Mongolian spirit” created by the poet is filled with natural landscapes, people, and historical memory. His ancestors and descendants, the dead and living, are called upon to preserve this space and believing that nature and civilization can exist in equal harmony, he would like to reconcile them among themselves. Therefore, the poems of Mongolian poets writing about nature sound like a distress signal, like a cry for help to nature. This is a feature. That is why Mongolian writers have initiated environmental protection measures. They stopped the construction of a chemical plant on Lake Hubsgul. The lake is the main freshwater reservoir in the world. Mongolian writers also warned that the pine forest “Tuzin Nars” was destroyed in nature every year billions of tons of waste. With such an attitude of man to nature on Earth there will soon be nothing left. There are examples of the writer C. Galsan, who planted 360 thousand trees. In this article we propose that we do not limit the observation and conclusions about the mastery of writers to the nature of the writings, but take into account personal, mental and social changes in the environment.

The paper presents the results of research that included comparative study of the place and role of female characters in selected and representative comedies by Serbian comedigrapher Branislav Nušić (eng. MP, Suspicious person, Mrs Minister, Bereaved family, Dr, Deceased; srb. Narodni poslanik, Sumnjivo lice, Ožalošćena porodica, Dr, Pokojnik, Vlast) and Bulgarian comedigrapher Stefan Kostov (eng. Gold mine, Golemanov, Grasshoppers, Nameless comedy; blg. Zlamnama mina, Golemanov, Skakalci, Komediâ bez ime) in order to find similarities and differences in the process of comedigraphic shaping of female characters in the work of these two authors. The subject of the research was viewed primarily from a literary-theoretical point of view, and the dominant methods of study were comparative and analytical-synthetic. During the research, there was a differentiation of female characters in accordance with their motivational structures, psychological assemblies and the nature of the place and the role they play in the social environment in which they are located. Therefore, we can distinguish female characters who live in the province and who are fully representative of the small-town spirit, female characters who live in the capital and are a symbol of the modern age and female characters who dwell in the capital, but in fact, deeply down still carry a small-town view of the world. The structure of this paper is in line with this distinction. Conclusions made at the end of the study show that the representation of female characters in analyzed comedies of both comedigaphers is highly similar in its nature.

The subject of this essay is Andrzej Waśkiewicz’s book Ludzie – rzeczy – ludzie. O porządkach społecznych, gdzie rzeczy łączą, nie dzielą (People–Things–People: On Social Orders Where Things Connect Rather Than Divide People). The book is the work of a historian of ideas and concerns contemporary searches for alternatives to capitalism: the review presents the book’s overview of visions of society in which the market, property, inequality, or profit do not play significant roles. Such visions reach back to Western utopian social and political thought, from Plato to the nineteenth century. In comparing these ideas with contemporary visions of the world of post-capitalism, the author of the book proposes a general typology of such images. Ultimately, in reference to Simmel, he takes a critical stance toward the proposals, recognizing the exchange of goods to be a fundamental and indispensable element of social life. The author of the review raises two issues that came to mind while reading the book. First, the juxtaposition of texts of a very different nature within the uniform category of “utopia” causes us to question the role and status of reflections regarding the future and of speculative theory in contemporary social thought; second, such a juxtaposition suggests that reflecting on the social “optimal good” requires a much more precise and complex conception of a “thing,” for instance, as is proposed by new materialism or anthropological studies of objects and value as such.

The cycle of publications on trends and prospects of major world nations is continued by a piece on Japan prepared at a workshop of the Center of social-economic and social-political studies at IMEMO RAN. Doctor D. Streltsov (MGIMO-University, Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs) spoke on the subject of the party-political system evolution in Japan as well as on the prospects of the social security system reforming. S. Chugrov, editor-in-chief of the "Polis" magazine, focused on tendencies and expectations of the Japanese society, particularly in regard to territorial disputes and historical memory. That issue was also at the center of the presentation of Professor N. Simotaman from Hosey University, Tokyo, while E. Leontieva of IMEMO dealt with new trends in Japan’s economic development, especially the “abenomics”.

AbstractThe subject of the present paper is a prophetic tradition found in some compendia of eschatologicalaḥādīthwhich has received considerable scholarly attention since Wilferd Madelung dedicated an article to it in 1981. Whereas Madelung shares the opinion of earlier scholars that only some of the incidents “prophesied” by this tradition are historical, this study aims to show that it is a whollyex post factocomposition which, in its various strata, remarkably captures episodes from the Zubayrid war of propaganda against their rivals as well as their later attempts to redeem the memory of their lost cause as a just one. The discussion closes by producing a highly singular Syrian tradition most certainly put into circulation with the intent of countering these Zubayrid propaganda efforts.

The author of the articles shows that the grotesque is one of the most interesting ways of diagnosing changes and crisis in the anthroposphere (as a continuation of thinking about the subject from the middle of the seventeenth century through to postmodernity). According to Thomas Mann, the grotesque is one the most active notions in contemporary art. Its productivity results from the subject’s tendency to self-fulfilment, self-cognition, and self-definition; it is an independent vision and position in the “me – the world”, “me – community” relations. The grotesque is a strongly philosophical proposition, which bases its discourse on a conscious protest against present values and on transgressing all limiting and oppressive conventions. Therefore, the grotesque enhances the status of the subject, but it neither defends nor affi rms the subject in a direct manner. Apart from the social dimension, the grotesque also has numerous metaphysical references, the expression of which can be found in Kierkegaardian understanding of the metaphysical crisis as despair. Facing piercing emptiness, the human being tries to find some support and resorts to anything only to make a leap into the future. Laughter is only a manifestation of horror vacui, a specific dialectic moment devoid of any prospect of purification or comfort. What dominates a grotesque work is its open structure. The motifs which shape the spatiotemporal order do not always form a cause-and-effect system. Deliberately incoherent themes (logical coherence is not an aim) seem to be rather “deconstructors”, not constructors of the plot; they are intermittent, provoke the impression of a secret, a gleam, the absurd.

The subject of this article arose in connection with the study of the cultural history of Siberia during the Civil War (1918–1922). An appeal to archival documents and L. N. Martynov’s memoirs made it possible to reveal many interesting facts from the life of the White capital and recall one of its significant episodes – the meeting of the schoolboy Leonid Martynov with the Petrograd poet Georgy Maslov in the summer of 1919. They met at the book collection office creating hospital libraries in August 1919. The meeting with the first real poet made a strong impression on Leonid. Young people met often, came to each other’s homes. It is not difficult to imagine how fascinating and informatively rich were he stories of the participant in the Pushkin seminary and the university’s “Circle of Poets” for the Omsk schoolboy. Maslov introduced the schoolboy and his friends N. Kalmykov and V. Shebalin to all the “stray” writers. Maslov wrote a lot and published poetry in local periodicals, and Martynov was probably one of the first to read them. Maslov firmly adhered to the anti-Bolshevik position, and in poetry on contemporary themes he expressed his high patriotic feelings, calling on his compatriots to enlightenment. These moods influenced the young Omsk citizen. In line with the influence of Maslov on the worldview of young Martynov – a positive attitude towards the personality of A. V. Kolchak. In the spring in Soviet Omsk, Leonid left the gymnasium, which, under the new government, has now become the United Labor School. This decision, formed, of course, under the influence of Maslov, was an expression of protest and a demonstration of Martynov’s attitude to the new government. At the end of May 1920, fifteen-year-old Martynov went to Krasnoyarsk, where he met with E. Ivanov, who told him about the long, painful retreat to the east, the death of Maslov, showed him the poems he had written on the way. Returning to Omsk, Martynov meets with Maslov’s friend Tanya Solovyova, with whom they remember the poet and read his poems. At this time, Martynov conceived the idea of a poem dedicated to the memory of a friend – “Harlequinade”. In May 1922, Martynov is in Moscow, where he meets with the participants of the Omsk literary meetings and participates in an evening in memory of Maslov. The short friendship between the “Pushkinist and the Futurist” was fruitful for the young Martynov. It played a decisive role in his professional development, the forming of his literary tastes, social guidelines. The name of Georgy Maslov remained dear to Leonid Martynov until the end of his life.

Показано, что автор рассматривает специалиста с позиций онтологического субъекта, что предполагает его соотнесение с основными отношениями к миру; с выбранными им способами существования в этих основных отношениях к миру; с событиями прошлого и будущего в его жизни. The contribution of D. N. Zavalishina to the study of the development of practical thinking of the subject of labor is analyzed. The social significance of psychological research on the development and self-realization of the creative potential of the subject of labor in the modern technogenic world is noted. D. N. Zavalishina's research on creative aspects of practical thinking and their manifestation in professional activity is considered. It is shown that the author considers the specialist from the position of an ontological subject, which implies its correlation with the main relations to the world; with the ways of existence chosen by him in these main relations to the world; with the events of the past and future in his life.

Historical memory in texts and practices manifests itself ambiguously. It is not always possible to believe even written sources. Epic tradition was lucky - there are many versions of epic texts that have passed the test of time, eliminated all that was considered implausible. But the epics also experienced the negative influence of time, which manifested itself in the addition, rethinking, loss of certain parts of the text. Therefore, their historical study is impossible without reconstruction, the definition of texts on the time of appearance and connection with the social practice of the corresponding period. There is a gap between the epics and Chronicles, reflecting the difference in the perception of events, but they are connected by a common social practice, historical entourage, able to show the belonging of the epics to a certain time and space. The era’s entourage is most connected with the image of the hero. The article considers the attempts and prospects of studying the epic era on the example of the image of Dobrynya Nikitich.

Women are the main driving force of society along side men. High personality of women will  bring into the world strong generation and community in facing challenges of life. If they are weak, the community also will become strengthless. Muslims, regardless being  majorities in Moslem countries or minorities in non Moslem countries should revive excellency as early generations of Islam that bring forth advanced world civilization for several centuries. The stories of the early generations had been written by many authors such as Mohammad Rashid Rida’s writing about the wives of the Prophet, as well as contained in history books known as “sirah”, autobiographies as well as other forms of writings, translations of thousands of titles in the subject but not studied analytically. Thus analyzing the social processes that apply at that time through the content of Prophetic hadith and discourse analysis texts as proposed by social language analysts, prevail to expose the excellency and sustainability of  women implied in the events as had been narrated by themselves and others. Methodology of this study is based on analysis of the content of hadith and Fairclough (2003, 1992, 1989)’s concept of discourse analysis through the dimension of intertextuality. Several prophetic Hadith are selected, analyzed and being related to social practice to formulate the principles that should serve as a model to modern  women especially by Moslim women. This is because the development of human capital especially female identity is the backbone of the nation’s development.
