During a pandemic, which has an impact on the world of education, which requires distance learning, resulting in the emergence of various problems, including the cultivation of character for students. Therefore it is necessary to have innovation in distance learning that is good and effective, so that it can instill character in students. This paper will provide descriptions related to some of the methods that are carried out, and can be used as a reference for educators in instilling character in students in distance learning during the Corona pandemic that is hitting Indonesia. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. Researchers obtained data from interviews, observations and documentation on 12 teachers at SD NU Master Sokaraja. There are four ways that can be practiced by school educators at the current PJJ period, namely: Integrating character planting in the curriculum, character planting through class management, character building through the choice of methods and the use of learning methods, character building through the literacy movement.

Abstract This study is about heroism in the novel The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling. There are three points of discussion under this title: giving protection, defending rights and gratitude. Defending rights is associated with heroic deeds. A hero is a random citizen that rises to an occasion and performs an action of superhero proportions. Gratitude implies thankfulness or an appreciation of benefits conferred together with a desire, when practicable, to return those benefits. Defending rights is tied to human rights which are universally applicable to one and all. These are the significant components of heroism. One of the relevant and outstanding modern theories of heroism applied here is proposed by Gibbon (2009) stating that hero is just an average man who fights to solve a common problem in today’s society. The study is conducted with Descriptive Qualitative Method proposed by Haughman (2009) in which he states that Qualitative research is a form of social inquiry that focuses on the way people interpret and make sense of their experiences and the world in which they live. Kipling leads children down the jungle path into adventures beyond their day to day imagining and along the way he shows the value of ‘doing for yourself', of 'learning who to trust'. The result shows that heroism is highlighted through the major characters and the conclusive points are some of the significant characters such as Mowgli, Father Wolf, Mother Wolf, Hathi, and Bagheera have done heroic deeds. Their heroism is presented in the forms of giving protection, defending rights and gratitude. Keywords: heroism, human rights, gratitude

The purpose of this article is to describe profession challenges of the Buddhist religion teacher in Tangerang. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative. The study was conducted from March to June 2018 to Buddhist religion teacher in Tangerang. Data is collected through interviews. Validity of data by credibility, dependability, confirmability and transferbility tests. Data analysis using the Miles & Huberman model. Based on the results of research profession challenges of the Buddhist religion teacher in Tangerang is related to evocative, quality students, character building, reduced number of students, and educational facilities. To uncover these challenges, teachers will conduct quality learning through cooperative learning methods, the use of contemporary learning media, patience and caution in dealing with students, and provide additional assignments to attend a Buddhist Sunday school or devotional service.

Studi ini adalah hasil tracer study pada Program Studi (PS) Teknologi Pangan Universitas Terbuka tahun 2017-2020. Studi ini menggunakan metode kualitatif (qualitative research) melalui survei dan wawancara dengan variabel (1) Keterserapan alumni di dunia kerja; (2) Kontribusi perguruan tinggi terhadap tingkat komptensi yang dikuasai; (3) Penilaian alumni terhadap metode pembelajaran di PS Teknologi Pangan. Hasil tracer study menyatakan bahwa dari segi keterserapan alumni di dunia kerja, alumni PS Teknologi Pangan UT sebanyak 68% sudah bekerja dan sebanyak 70% sudah memperoleh pekerjaan sebelum masuk UT. Bidang pekerjaan alumni paling banyak di bidang swasta di sektor usaha makanan dan minuman. Kontribusi perguruan tinggi terhadap tingkat kompetensi yang dikuasai alumni yaitu lebih dari 50% alumni menyatakan perguruan tinggi berkontribusi sangat tinggi dan tinggi dalam pengetahuan di bidang ilmu teknologi pangan, kemampuan riset dan analisis, komunikasi, ketrampilan digital, manajemen waktu dan kemampuan dalam memegang tanggung jawab, serta soft skill. Penilaian alumni terhadap metode pembelajaran di PS Teknologi Pangan yaitu lebih dari 50% menyatakan sudah sangat baik dan baik dari tutorial online, praktikum, dan bahan ajar cetak. Masukan alumni untuk perbaikan layanan yaitu untuk tutorial online antara lain perlunya peningkatan server, tampilan yang lebih menarik, penambahan video dan studi kasus, serta tutor perlu lebih aktif memberikan umpan balik. Masukan mahasiswa untuk praktikum yaitu perlunya laboratorium sendiri yang dimiliki oleh UT, mata kuliah praktikum perlu diperbanyak, serta  integrasi antara mata kuliah praktikum dengan mata kuliah lainnya. Masukan untuk bahan ajar cetak adalah perlu dilakukan pembaharuan materi yang mengikuti dengan perkembangan teknologi dan ilmu pengetahuan. Tracer study in the Food Technology Study Program of the Open University conducted in 2017-2020. This study uses qualitative methods (qualitative research) through surveys and interviews with variables (1) Absorption of alumni in the world of work; (2) Contribution of higher education to the competency level mastered; (3) Evaluation of alumni of learning methods in the Food Technology Study Program. The results of the tracer study stated that in terms of alumni absorption in the world of work, 68% of UT Food Technology PS alumni were already working and as many as 70% had reached a job before entering UT. Most alumni work in the private sector in the food and beverage business sector. The contribution of higher education to the level of competence controlled by alumni is more than 50% of alumni who state that universities contribute very high and high in knowledge in the field of food technology, research and analysis skills, communication, digital skills, time management and the ability to hold responsibility , also soft skills. The alumni assessment of the learning methods at the Food Technology Study Program, namely more than 50% stated that it was very good and good from online tutorials, practicum, and printed teaching materials. Alumni input for service improvements, namely for online tutorials, including the need for server upgrades, a more attractive display, adding videos and case studies, and tutors need to be more active in providing feedback. Student input for practicum is the need for UT's own laboratory, practicum courses that need to be reproduced, and integration between practicum courses with other courses. The input for printed teaching materials is that it is necessary to update the material that follows the development of technology and science.

The purpose of this study is to find out the strategies applied at SD Muhammadiyah 10 Balongbendo in learning during the covid 19 pandemic. This scientific work examines various aspects, including the history, strategies, challenges and facilities contained in SD Muhammadiyah 10 Balongbendo. The learning strategy that can be reached in the world of education is online learning. Online learning is carried out remotely, but equipped with various types of applications that support it. The purpose of the study was to obtain an overview of the implementation of learning during the Covid-19 pandemic along with the strategies implemented at SD Muhammadiyah 10 Balongbendo as an effort to monitor and identify learning that is currently running even though the situation has not been able to support it optimally. The subjects of this study were students of SD Muhammadiyah 10 Balongbendo who carried out an online learning program. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. Data were collected by direct interviews which took place in the principal's office of SD Muhammadiyah 10 Balongbendo. The results of this study are (1) the form of strategies carried out during the pandemic, (2) online learning that continues to run (3) Cooperation between educators and parents in the distance learning process. The conclusion in this study is that the teacher's learning strategy has been implemented using several kinds of learning media that have been applied to realize the appropriate learning objectives.

<p><em>Hadith Arba’in</em> is a collection of the selected 42 hadiths. The name of <em>Arba’in</em> is taken from the amount of hadiths included in the book which is 42 hadiths. The book of <em>hadith Arba’inis</em> considered to be necessarily studied because this book contains the collection of the well know hadiths in islamic community awund the world. This book contains the main hadith that are very important in islamic study, started with hadith about the intention to start doing something, then followed with the basic <em>aqidah, syari’ah, akhlak</em>, and prophet’s advice. This research specifically studies the hadiths from 31-40 because they contain suggestion, forbiddence, excellence, and some of advices about islam. This research is descriptive qualitative research. The method used is (equal/comparison) method. The data in this research are grammatical cohesion marker in the form of pronoun in Arabic language and ideological translation in the 31-40 text of <em>hadith Arba’in</em> written by Ibnu Daqiq Al ‘ied and translated by Muhammad Thalib. The data collection is done by taking the sample or called technique sampling. Technique of presenting data is presented by words and table of data to describe the analysis result. This reaserch investigates cohesion, variasion of translation technique, translation method, and ideological translation used by the translator in translating the expressions in the hadith.</p><strong>Keywords</strong>: <em>hadith Arba’in</em>, cohesion, technique, method, ideology.

Arabic has a special place among the other languages of the world because Arabic is the language of the Qur'an and the Sunnah of Rasulullah SAW. To learn it, ulama agreed to put sharf and nahwu (qawaid) as the basis. One book that discusses is Alfiyah which is the book of Imam Jamaluddin Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Malik. In presenting qawaid in that kitab, the teacher requires special methods and strategies. For that by using descriptive qualitative research method, this research illustrates that a teacher at Madrasah Diniyah Wustha Al-Muayyad Surakarta using three methods, 1) qawaid wa tarjamah method, 2) Tahfidh wa Tasmi' method, and 3) lecturing method. Then, within each of these methods are translated into several strategies. The implementation of this strategy tailored to the Madrasah Diniyah Wustha at the environment Al-Muayyad boarding school in Surakarta.

The aim of this study was to determine the process of learning speaking skills in this program and its efforts in developing speaking skills. In this study, the authors used descriptive qualitative research methods, with historical, methodological, and opinion approaches. The results showed that speaking skills in the Ma’had Aliy As'adiyah Sengkang-South Sulawesi Program were related to the use of curriculum, learning methods, instructional media, and teaching materials. Meanwhile, the program's efforts in developing speaking skills consist of three parts, namely 1. efforts in practicing Arabic language directly, 2. Efforts to carry out various activities in the use of Arabic, 3. Efforts in the form of solution, namely efforts that will be carried out next by Ma’had Aliy As'adiyah Sengkang, South Sulawesi to improve the previous efforts that have not been effective and successful.

A problem that affects the world, including Brazil, is the pandemic of COVID 19. In view of this, classes in public schools in Pelotas from the education network have moved from the on-site to the distance learning modality. This transposition in the teaching modality has led to some concerns such as investigating whether the teachers felt prepared to carry out this transposition from the on-site teaching modalities to the distance learning modality. Thus, a qualitative research was carried out, with reports from the School's educators. Conducting face-to-face interviews and via video calls, for some teachers to be characterized as a risk group. The result of the research is found in the course of the study.

Syntax is the study of the principles and processes by which sentence that it is constructed in particular language. Whereas that every language in the world certainly has different structure. This research aim to answer: (1) What are kinds of simple sentence found in Kembhang Babur books? (2) What are the differences between English and Madurese in simple sentences? This research is a descriptive qualitative research, descriptively describing the syntactic structures of simple sentences in Kembhang Babur book. The writer followed the rule of the qualitative which the data describe in words as the basis of interpreting data. Words are of utmost importance to qualitative researchers. There are three kinds of simple sentences found in Kembhang Babur book could be classified into: (a) Affirmative sentences, (b) Negative sentences (c) Interrogative sentences. The differences in English sentence is; if this affirmative sentence Aux there is after NP, but in the interrogative sentence Aux there is before NP and there is auxiliary “do/does” as interrogative verb. In Madurese sentence is marked by the addition of the word “apah” which is put before NP. “Apah” is as question word in Madurese, not as an auxiliary.

Misconception is a mismatch of students’ conceptions with concepts agreed upon by experts. Misconception is a problem that often occurs in the world of education, especially in mathematics in the matter of plane geometry. This type of research is a descriptive qualitative research that aims to describe the types of misconceptions and causes of misconceptions experienced by students on the subject of plane geometry. The results showed that there were two types of misconceptions experienced by students, namely classificational execution misconceptions, and theoretical execution misconceptions. Misconception of classificational execution is the mismatch of students' conceptions when classifying a plane geometry with a concept agreed upon by experts; and the theoretical execution misconception is a mismatch between students' conceptions of definition, properties and elements of planes geometry. The causes of misconception are students 'preconceptions, students' abilities, textbooks, and teacher teaching methods.
