Currently, many countries around the globe including Indonesia are hugely affected by a novel pandemic COVID-19. This pandemic has impacted the economic and social sectors as well as caused dramatic changes in work patterns. Many employees are forced to shift their current working style from the office to work from home (WFH). This study aims to determine the impact of WFH on employee performance and to provide information regarding the advantages and disadvantages of WFH during the COVID-19 pandemic from the employee perspective. This exploratory study used the descriptive method and the data were obtained from the responses of 75 employees that are currently on WFH at different sectors in Surabaya. Evidently, 63% of the respondents are private employees, followed by 33% of them belongs to government employees, and 4% of employees have their state-owned enterprises. There were 83% of employees who experiences WFH due to the prevention of spreading COVID-19 transmission. The analysis of the work performance revealed that 47% of the respondents did not experience any differences between WFH and conventional office’s working style. In addition, 29% of employees expressed their opinion regarding the decrease in productivity level during WFH, and 20% of them admitted that their performance level elevated during WFH. In fact, based on the employees’ opinions, the biggest advantages of WFH include flexible working hours, efficient personal budget cuts for transportation costs, and more quality time to spend with families. However, the disadvantages of WHF are the increase in internet and electricity cost, some tasks from work that could not be performed at home such as scientific laboratory experiments, and the lack of focus to work properly due to distraction at home especially if they have their children around all time. Furthermore, even though work from home was accepted by most employees, but according to some correspondents’ opinions, the current WFH trend was not ideal for many different types of jobs.

This research is a descriptive study using qualitative method and an ethnographic approach. After conducting the tracing process, the researcher found that mappadendang tradition which was held in Allamungeng Patue Village, Bone Regency in July 2020 was not a tradition of harvest celebration as generally in several villages in Bone Regency, especially Bugis tribe, but mappadendang was held as a form of shielding from all distress including Covid-19 outbreak. This trust was obtained after one of the immigrants who now resides in the village dreamed of meeting an invisible figure (tau panrita) who ordered a party to be held that would bring all the village people because remembering that in the village during Covid-19 happened to almost all the existing areas in Indonesia, the people of Allamungeng Patue Village were spared from the outbreak. Spontaneously, the people of Allamungeng Patue Village worked together to immediately carry out the mappadendang tradition as a form of interpretation of the message carried by the figure.

The article deals with the causes of the negative situation in the banking sector, as the state of the bank depends on the analysis of almost all aspects of banking activity for some time. It is determined that during the banking sector audits, the state regulator uses analytical data on the banking sector's operations with its monetary obligations, compliance with maturities and maturities of assets that operate and terms and amounts of liabilities, namely, dealing with banking sector liquidity. As their financial reliability is important in the banking sector, therefore, bank clients are a socio-economic sector, needing an objective and independent assessment, as reliability directly affects the socio-economic development of the country. The banking sector was analyzed in 2016-2019 and it was found that during this period violations of laws and regulations issued by the state regulator were made in the banking sector. A number of penalties, written warnings and administrative penalties were applied by the state regulator. The method of determining the rating of banks in respect of which penalties were applied by the state regulator is proposed. The rating allows investors and potential clients to understand the situation in the banking market and helps banks identify their weaknesses and correct their work. The application of the proposed economic and mathematical model in the rating of participants in the banking sector can have a positive effect on: improving the quality of management in the banking sector and transparency in the activities of each individual bank; standardization of technologies of rating of the banking sector under the prism of the applied sanctions by the state regulator. Therefore, there is a need for an in-depth study of the techniques used by credit rating agencies in the banking sector and the identification of the main problems in establishing the rating of the banking sector. Key words: banking sector, state regulator, economic sector, efficiency, rating, rating, social sector.

Despite the huge number of studies on telework in 2020, the influence of socio-demographic characteristics of workers on their attitudes towards telework continues to raise questions. Researchers agree on some aspects, such as younger individuals being better at absorbing new technologies. However, given that not only those who wanted to but also those who were obliged to switched to teleworking, it appears that younger people may not be as effective at working remotely as previously thought. The relevance of our study is based on the contradictory findings of research conducted during the pandemic. With this article, we contribute to the accumulation of knowledge about the change that takes place in telework. The paper aims to examine the relationship between socio-demographic indicators and the evaluation of telework. Our study confirms that the gender and age of employees are important factors in an employee’s attitude to telecommuting. Mostly, the attitudes vary in terms of gender. At least in the case of Lithuania where the research was conducted, Millennial men, unlike other generations and significantly more than Millennial women, see personal career development problems working remotely. Meanwhile, older generations do not declare greater dissatisfaction working remotely, although they do not express much favour for this approach. The results of the study indicate that in the circumstances created by the pandemic, organizations should update their human resource management strategies to achieve employee work efficiency and maintain employee motivation. The practical implication of our study in terms of open innovation is that in the future, the development of virtual working relationships will need to focus not on the technological training of older workers but on the specific provision of feedback to younger workers. In this regard, our insights may be useful for leaders in human resource management and open innovation teams.

Well managed human resources can effectively promote efficiency and thus create more social values. Therefore, it has aroused wide attention in academia. The thesis first establish the human capital value model and the human cost value model, based on which the thesis established the basic framework of enterprise human capital network. Then, simulation calculation from three aspects of human resource network were carried out with the cellular automation model. Firstly, we simulated the dynamic process of the change of personnel and got the evaluation model of the human cost in the future two years of a company, which can provide reference for company cost control. Secondly, the simulation mainly focused on checking whether under high staff churn rate, a company can still maintain certain number of employees. Thirdly, we simulated the healthy status of the human resource network under certain situations. Finally, We concluded that higher staff churn rate can lead to higher vacancy rate, which will lower the efficiency of companies .The thesis also explored with the model sensitivity analysis the benefit effect over human resource network by increasing recruits, indicating that increasing recruits can decrease the vacancy rate and improve the health status of the human capital network and based on the reality, we put forward the improvement direction of the model in indicator system aspect.
