The aim of this research is to conduct a comparative analysis of the mobile learning trends of students of the physical education teaching department studying in The Republic of Kosovo and Russia. In this research, causal comparative research method was used. The study group consists of 40 students studying physical education teaching at various universities in Kosovo and Russia in the 2020-2021 academic year. A total of 80 students participated in the study. The research data were collected by the semi-structured interview form developed by the researcher and the data was analyzed by content analysis method. The research results reveal that students studying in both countries have a high mobile learning tendency. In addition, students from both countries have similarly defined the advantages and disadvantages of mobile device use in education.

This study was carried out in order to examine the opinions of physical education teachers about the remote (online) education of schools due to the Covid-19 epidemic in our country and in the world in recent years, and the remote teaching of physical education lessons in this process. Within the scope of this study, it was tried to determine the opinions of physical education teachers about the distance education process, the problems they encountered, the efficiency and adequacy of the lessons, the advantages and disadvantages of the process. The study was designed using a qualitative research method, and the study group was determined using the stratified sampling method. Study data were collected by the researcher by interview method. The analysis of the data was carried out using the content analysis method. According to the findings of the research, in the evaluations of the participants; It has been observed that the majority of them define distance education as virtual education, the majority of them express that it is important and necessary to teach physical education lessons in distance education, the biggest advantage in the process of teaching the lessons is the lack of time and space limit, and the disadvantage is that distance education cannot provide the same equality of opportunity for every student. At the end of the study, suggestions were given to make physical education lessons more efficient in the distance education process.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was decided to conduct educational activities online and the burnout status of teachers who suddenly switched to distance education became a matter of curiosity. This study was carried out to examine the burnout levels of physical education and sports teachers during the Covid-19 period and to examine possible changes that may occur after this process by getting information about how they will approach their profession. profession and students. In this context, the research group consists of 210 physical education and sports teachers, 142 men and 68 women. These teachers took a break from face-to-face education due to the pandemic and continued their lessons with online education. The Maslach Burnout Inventory and 3 semi-structured questions were used to find out the emotional states of physical education and sports teachers and how they approached students during and after the pandemic. IBM SPSS 22 statistical program was used in the analysis of the data obtained from the scale. Analysis of normality showed that the data were normally distributed. Parametric test independent samples t-test was used to compare paired groups, one-way ANOVA was used to compare more than two groups and the level of significance was accepted as (p)<.05. In addition, the content analysis method was used in the analysis of the data obtained from the semi-structured interview form. The results showed that physical education and sports teachers participating in the study experienced moderate burnout. It was determined that the most negatively affected aspect of teachers was emotional exhaustion during the Covid-19 pandemic. There was no significant difference between the burnout levels of physical education and sports teachers according to the variables of gender, age, professional seniority, the type of sports they do. Physical education and sports teachers stated that they missed their students and they wanted face-to-face education to start at school, while more than half of the teachers stated that their attitudes to students will change after the pandemic.

The aim of the present study was to determine the views of pre-service teachers on artificial intelligence. In the present qualitative study, conducted with the phenomenology design, that data were collected from 94 pre-service teachers attending different departments at Manisa Celal Bayar University, Faculty of Education during the 2018-2019 academic year fall semester in Turkey. Data were collected with semi-structured interview form and written interview form, developed by the author. Collected data were analyzed by using content analysis method and classified under themes. Analyses demonstrated that pre-service teachers assigned different meanings to artificial intelligence, felt basically negative emotions for artificial intelligence, and did not want to live in a world ruled by artificial intelligence. Furthermore, it was found that pre-service teachers considered that artificial intelligence could have both several benefits and risks, and it might have both positive and negative effects on education. Based on the study findings, various recommendations were presented for future studies and implementations on the topic.

The main purpose of this research is to determine the views of physical education and sports teacher candidates about the current situation and future of their profession. The current study employed the phenomenological design, one of the qualitative research designs. This study was conducted with twenty-four physical education and sports teacher candidates living in different regions of Turkey, of different genders, ages, and academic grade point averages between the years 2020-2021. The participants of the current study were selected by using the maximum variation sampling method, one of the purposive sampling methods. The data were collected by using the personal information form prepared by the researchers and a semi-structured interview form administered online. In the analysis of the collected data, content analysis method was used. The findings obtained as a result of the research were examined within the framework of four main themes: the importance of physical education and the sports teaching profession, the image of the profession, the features required by the profession, and the opinions on the profession depending on technological developments. These findings obtained in the current study were discussed in reference to the literature and suggestions were made in light of the findings.

In this study, it is aimed to examine the opinions of class teachers about digital game-based teaching. The model of the research, which adopts the qualitative research approach, is the case study. Within the scope of the purpose of the study, opinions were obtained on a voluntary basis from the class teachers selected by the criterion sampling method, one of the purposeful sampling methods. The participants of the research are 30 class teachers working under the Ministry of National Education in the 2020-2021 academic year. A semi-structured interview form was used as a data collection tool. The collected data were analyzed by content analysis method. In line with the findings obtained, conclusions and recommendations have been given.

The aim of this study was to examine the opinions of secondary school math teachers regarding the examination system for the transition to high school which was implemented for the first time in 2017-2018 academic year in Turkey. The research was conducted in the second semester of 2018-2019 academic year, a semi-structured interview form was used as data collection tool. In addition, the sample of the study consisted of 30 math branch teachers working in central secondary schools across a province in Eastern Anatolia. The interview form consisted of 6 open-ended questions prepared by the researchers after receiving expert opinions. Content analysis method was used in analyzing the data. As a result of findings, it was understood that while some of the teachers had positive opinions about this new exam, some others had negative thoughts.

Physical education (PE) teachers in Turkey fulfill the coaching role within school sports activities in addition to teaching roles. However, coaching and teaching are different professional fields. In this regard, it is estimated that PE teachers experience role conflicts in the current system. The present study aimed to evaluate the role conflict situation from different perspectives in accordance with the opinions of the PE teachers. Six PE teachers, three female and three males, voluntarily participated in the study. In order to examine the role conflict in depth and to explain this situation better, the research was designed as phenomenology in qualitative research method A semi-structured interview form prepared by the researchers was used as a data collection tool. In the analysis of the data obtained, content analysis method was used to make objective and systematic inferences. The study yielded the outcome that especially young PE teachers had a role conflict and that they were negatively affected by this situation. PE teachers with a high level of sportive background stated that they felt closer to the coaching role than the teaching role. Finally, all PE teachers who participated in the study emphasized that coach support was very important in this process. They also reported that they could not spare time for their families and relatives due to high training hours and that they experienced physical and mental fatigue.   Özet Türkiye’de beden eğitimi (BE) öğretmenleri öğretmenlik rollerinin yanında okul sporları faaliyetleri kapsamında antrenörlük rolünü de yerine getirmektedirler. Ancak antrenörlük ve öğretmenlik birbirinden farklı mesleki alanlardır. Bu kapsamda, BE öğretmenlerinin mevcut sistem içerisinde rol çatışması yaşadıkları öngörülmüştür. Bu araştırmada, rol çatışması durumunun Türkiye’deki BE öğretmenlerinin görüşleri doğrultusunda farklı açılardan değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmaya üç kadın, üç erkek olmak üzere toplamda altı BE öğretmeni gönüllü olarak katılmıştır. Araştırma, rol çatışması durumunu derinlemesine incelemek ve bu durumu daha iyi açıklamak amacıyla nitel araştırma yönteminde fenomenoloji deseninde tasarlanmıştır. Veri toplama aracı olarak araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanmış yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen verilerin analizinde, objektif ve sistematik çıkarımlar yapmak amacıyla içerik analizi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, özellikle genç BE öğretmenlerinin bu durumdan olumsuz etkilendikleri ve rol çatışması yaşadıkları sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Üst düzey sportif geçmişe sahip BE öğretmenleri öğretmenlik rolüne kıyasla antrenörlük rolüne kendilerini daha yakın hissettiklerini belirtmişlerdir. Son olarak, araştırmaya katılan tüm BE öğretmenleri yüksek antrenman saatleri sebebiyle aile ve yakınlarına vakit ayıramadıkları, fiziksel ve zihinsel anlamda yorgunluk yaşadıklarını ifade ederek, antrenör desteğinin bu süreçte oldukça önemli olduğunu vurgulamışlardır.

This study was conducted to determine the views of academicians regarding &ldquo;The Views of Physical Education and Sports Teaching Instructors on Education in the Covid-19 Period&rdquo;. The study used the phenomenological design, which is among qualitative research designs. The study group comprised 63 academicians carrying out duty in 21 different universities in Turkey during the 2019-2020 academic year. In line with the goal, the study was carried out with academicians who could contribute on voluntary basis. In order to determine the views of the academicians, a structured interview form was used. The interview form comprises four questions aiming to determine the necessity of distance education in the physical education area, which courses in the area can be given within the scope of distance education, possibility of teaching applied courses via distance education and problems they face in courses in the distance education process which has been put into effect compulsorily due to pandemic. The interview form was presented to the opinion of two instructors in the educational sciences area who have carried out qualitative research and then expert opinion was received. The application was conducted by primarily reaching the aforementioned academicians via telephone interview between 1 June-27 July 2020 and conveying the questions via e-mail. The descriptive analysis technique was used in analysis of the data. In the study 79% of the academicians stressed that applied courses should not be taught via distance education, while 52% stated that all theoretical courses could be taught via distance education. Examining the views of the academicians on the problems they faced in courses in the distance education process; 55% stated that the problems were associated with the system, 36% efficiency of the course, 30% inadequate student participation in the course, 21% inadequate student feedback, 21% evaluation, 19% inexperience about distance education and 17% lack of internet and computer opportunities in hometowns of students. Considering the findings of the study integratedly; it is believed that teaching applied courses via distance education is inadequate and inefficient. Also it is possible to state that it may not be appropriate to teach theoretical courses via distance education, except when necessary.

It is a common goal to try to educate students as natural users of language, as emphasized by the studies on learning English today and the recently renewed 2017- 2018 curriculum in Turkey. In this respect, the learning of language based on four basic skills is considered to bring the importance of these skills is emerging. This study is a qualitative study that determines the teachers’ opinions on the problems they encounter in the process of teaching four basic skills. At this qualitative study in the 2017-2018 academic year, teachers were chosen by the criterion sampling method, face-to-face interviews were conducted with eight English teachers working in a city of Turkey. The research was conducted in a case study design in a holistic multi-state pattern. Semi-structured interview form was used as data collection tool. Data was analyzed by content analysis method. Teachers’ opinions on the subject were discussed according to sub-problems and comments and suggestions were made.
