The focus of this paper is to describe a case concerning the key role of security technologies to observe, describe and some way record teenagers’ behaviors and social action at school, at home and in the daily life as a whole. A kind of security “public eye” to protect/control them is pivotal especially according to some High School Policies in Italy aimed to cancel each “blind spot” or “black hole” from the youngsters’ daily life to facilitate cross double checking among parents, relatives, social networks and teachers. In Italy the deviance of youth is increasing and the crime cases involving very young boys, like baby gangs and teenagers working for organized crime are growing rapidly. Among robberies, theft, and dang pushing the juvenile criminality in the Campania Region (an Italian Southern Region) continues to represent a critical point in this society and is unfortunately increasing. The family plays a key role and inside it often baby gangsters, whose parents are completely unaware of what is happening in their children’s lives. “Between school and family” is a project that aspires at tracing a connection between the school and the family thanks to the influence of new technologies and the way in which they influence the interpersonal relationships. What will be, for example, if every school place a fingerprint reader?

Stagnation and transformation: The role of the clown in Paljas This article focuses on the central problem in the film Paljas, and the role of the clown in the process of transformation that is embedded in the story. The stagnation in interpersonal relationships and the accompanying problem of identity on a personal and social level constitute the problem underlying the narrative. The youngest child refuses to speak and dysfunctional family relationships and marital problems are evident. These problems can mainly be ascribed to the spatial isolation in which the characters find themselves. Attention is therefore paid to the way in which space functions in this film. The arrival of an absconded circus clown effects transformation and healing – especially by means of his picaresque performances and the notion of play. Subsequently this article concentrates on the characteristics of game/playing as a cultural activity and on its liberating value. The clown also has definite Biblical connotations as far as the aspects of betrayal and redemption are concerned. The process of transformation as depicted in this film is completed when the child starts speaking again, dysfunctional family relationships are restored and the family is reinstated in the community because of their restored social status.

Conflict-related and disputable situations have been present in our lives since ancient times, when people have become aware of the need to protect their rights and interests, sometimes at odds with the aspirations of others. The conflict that emerges between people disturbs their relationships and poses a threat to the proper functioning of people, bringing with them negative emotions. However, it can be an opportunity for development, be treated as a change in interpersonal relationships and can ultimately produce positive effects. Mediation offers a possibility of converting the negative aspects of the conflict into constructive solutions. Being voluntary, confidential, non-formal, out-of-court proceedings, it enables the parties to come to an agreement, offering them the opportunity to actively participate in shaping the legal and social situation and exercising their rights and interests in the spirit of consensus. In the mediation process, the parties use the support of a professional, impartial, neutral mediator. The authors of the article promote the idea of mediation with full conviction that it is a valuable and effective way for conflicted parties and third parties and their relatives to reach a consensus on various issues, including family matters.

The studies of animated characters as a factor of socialization have virtually no theoretical or empirical interpretation in the Russian sociology. At the same time, cartoons have a huge potential for development and successful socialization of children. It is a well-known fact that animated films are widely used in pedagogy, psychology, and within the family circle. The public especially favors cartoons produced during the Soviet period, but gradually they become a thing of the past. This process is mainly due to the fact that visually and technologically they are inferior to modern cartoons and thus lose their appeal. As a result of the availability of the Internet and Smart TV, the number of young users watching videos and TV broadcasts has risen significantly. The leaders of ratings in terms of views and popularity are cartoons made in the USA, which reflect the values and characteristics of Western society. However, modern animated films boast a wide range of genres, plots, and characters created with the help of new technologies. Their pedagogical, cultural, and development potential is impressive, and their role in the socialization of children is still significant.

This is a chapter of a book containing the results of a study entitled ‘Old and New Forms of Poverty—The Lifestyles of Poor Families,’ which was conducted under the direction of Elżbieta Tarkowska in the second half of the 1990s. The author presents the social world of poor people in Poland, and two of its aspects in particular: the limitation of interhuman contacts to the family circle, and the role of institutions such as parishes, schools, and especially social support, in resolving the ongoing problems of daily life. Social policy, as reconstructed from the statements of people living in poverty, is oriented toward temporary activities and not toward shaping aspirations and behaviors, and yet the sole method of overcoming the apathy and helplessness accompanying long-term poverty is to arouse aspirations in the sphere of education.

The values contained within a culture must have the ability to adapt and adapt to other cultures through a selection process. Considering the social phenomenon that is happening in the daily life of Minangkabau society, implied the roots of cultural values, especially the value of characters, began to erode in the education of children in the family. Changes in behavior of the younger generation seems to have tercerabut from the roots of culture.Starting from the above phenomenon, the researcher wanted to re-question the tasks and functions of the tuahku sajar tungku, which had been instrumental in providing character values for the children and nephew in Minangkabau, but slowly the task began to shift and rely on the parents alone. The question that arises here is why customary law no longer raises the responsibility of planting the value of character to the tuah kuung sangan, what factors lead to waning the spirit of character values in the education of children in the family, and how the model design that can be used as a reference for the effort to re-revitalize the role of tigo stoves in helping parents in instilling character values on Minangkabau family.
