For a tourist, the perception of safety is the most important element of the holiday purchase decision process. With the COVID-19 pandemic, people's health concerns have also increased. The expectation of safe tourism on holiday has become more prominent. Hotel management takes the necessary precautions to provide safer service to its customers. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of COVID-19 measures in hotels on tourists' perception of safe tourism service. A total of 734 questionnaires were collected from local tourists at four- and five-star hotels. Factor analysis, correlation, and regression analyses were used to examine the hypotheses. The results of this study have been revealed that while general COVID-19 measures, restaurant services, room services, and human resources measures significantly affect safe tourism service, general area services, pool-beach services, and bar services do not have a significant effect.

The aim of this study is to analyze the factors that are influential in the process experience co-creation. In line with this purpose, a brief description of the study was given in the questionnaire form which was prepared, based on the literature review and the questionnaire included, questions regarding influential factors in the process of co-creation of experiences. Obtained data were analyzed through reliability, factor, and regression analyses. In the factor analysis, the statements were grouped under four factors: sharing, participant, interest, and interaction. When the influential factors in the process of co-creation were analyzed through regression analysis, the first factor was emphasized to be sharing, and content was found to be important in sharing. The second important factor was found to be the interaction between tourism service providers and tourists. The third important factor was determined as the interest for experiences. The last important factor was found to be the desire to be engaged in experiences.

Abstract The article analyzes the weak points of the Manifesto Project’s methodology, such as its emphasis on issue salience, instead of issue positions; bringing the content of manifestos under too broad categories formulated at the beginning of the project; not quite the appropriate technique of factor analysis etc. An alternative methodology is proposed that focuses on party positions on issues which generate the largest polarization in the political space. It also enriches the empirical base of the studies and adjusts the technique of factor analysis. In order to reveal political cleavages inside these dimensions, the so called electoral cleavages (factors of territorial differences in voting for various parties) are taken as a starting point: factor loadings of parties in the electoral and political spaces are compared through correlation and regression analyses. The proposed methodology is applied to an analysis of election results in Russia (2016) and Germany (2017).

The experience of dementia caregiver burden is multidimensional. Little is known about how different aspects of burden contribute to the consideration of moving a loved one to a structured living facility. In the present study, caregiver burden (Zarit Burden Interview; ZBI) and consideration of structured living arrangements (Desire to Institutionalize Scale; DIS) were self-reported by 339 caregivers. Exploratory factor analysis was used to determine the ZBI factor structure; these factors were then examined via hierarchical linear regression for prediction of DIS. Factor analysis indicated a 4-factor ZBI solution: Impact on Life, Guilt, Embarrassment/Frustration, and Escape/Uncertainty. Regression analyses indicated that only Escape/Uncertainty ( p < .001) was associated with DIS. Of the 4 identified factors of caregiver burden, desire to escape the caregiving role was most related to consideration of structured living arrangements. Future work should explore longitudinal contribution of this factor to determine its role in actual changes made in living arrangements.

Who, in the organization, buys the computer system? How are various departments involved in the organizational decision process? T V Seshadri and N Kinra analyse the decision processes of 30 organizations that had bought a computer system—mini, mainframe, or macro. Based on a questionnaire study and factor analysis, the authors conclude that the EDP department and Board of Directors are critical in the buying grids of the purchasing organizations. They draw implications of their findings for managers marketing computer systems.

Purpose This study aims to investigate the attributes of the online programme that are considered and compute their relative importance in the purchase decision. This study aims to identify the most lucrative bundling of these attributes and their levels that can be used by online education companies to craft their product design strategy to attract customers with the most attractive offering. Design/methodology/approach This research paper endeavours to identify the attributes of online education, which customers consider for making a purchase decision. Exploratory factor analysis followed by confirmatory factor analysis was used to identify the key attributes of online education programmes. This paper uses the conjoint analysis technique to identify the most preferred bundling of attributes, which online education companies can package to attract customers. Findings Based on various attributes and their respective levels, it is evident the most lucrative design for attracting customers to buy online education programmes is to provide certification from a reputed international university, which requires an investment to the tune of 3,000–5,000. The duration of four weeks with asynchronous pedagogy and access to course material vial uniform resource locator (URL) is a preferred feature. Access via a mobile application is more preferred over Web access. A phone application is known to be optimised, and most people are using mobile phones to access the internet. Online certification or degrees that are considered as valid employment qualifications were most preferred over other reasons. Originality/value There is a dearth of studies on massive open online courses (MOOCs) from a product design perspective. There is a gap in the context of the features to be included in the MOOCs package so that the customer can find more value in it, and the companies can benefit by expanding their customer base. The research question which this study endeavours to explore is what attributes consumers of MOOCs consider when making a purchase decision. This study will also find the relative importance of these attributes.

In the theoretical part of research authors will establish connections and diversities between human capital and human resources categories. In the empirical part of research, via HDI, it will be evaluated the development of human resources in Republic Of Croatia and in Primorsko-goranska County and in will be evaluated relation between HDI and GDP per capita of Croatia and in Primorsko-goranska County. Authors will also analyze how much development of human resources has contributed to the economic growth of Republic Of Croatia. In order to demonstrate this it will be measured influence of investment, employment and educational structures (the indirect indicator of development of human resources) on the growth of GDP in the period of 1997-2005 with usage of regression analyses.

Hotels in coastal (resort) destinations operate under special circumstances differing widely from others. These circumstances are being influenced by various exogenous and endogenous factors according to which investments and hotel management has to be adjusted. Business performance of adjustment depends on the strength of the influence on these circumstances, out of which one can specially distinguish: development level of the surroundings, microlocation, capital availability and its price, human resources, realistic market possibilities. At the same time these circumstances make limits of investment, while stimulation emerges from entrepreneurial expectations and initiatives in society. Some examples from recent practice in Croatia are given for this reason.
