During the 2019/2020 academic year, a learning experience built based on the famous cooking show Master Chef was implemented. This was executed in the specialization in Physical Education of the teaching Master's degree. During this experience, candidates (the student body) had to face different weekly challenges (individual, in groups, and eliminatory) based on the ingredients (course contents) that were presented weekly by the chef (the professor). This proposal was built using active methodologies as a reference, turning the student body into the protagonists of their learning process and encouraging those competencies that a good teacher needs in their day-to-day life. The authors ensured that the essence of the original program, characterized by requiring good time-managing skills, continuous decision making, or necessary emotional management, was maintained. At the same time, they took special care of details such as aesthetics or the language employed in Master Chef. Results show the viability and potential of this type of approach in the formative process of future teaching staff.

Serious games are suitable for learning. They are a good environment for improving the learning experience. As a key part of this setting, feedback becomes a useful support for decision making and can reinforce the learning process in order to achieve certain objectives. Destination feedback allows users to draw on strategies and improve skills. However, too much feedback can make the learner too dependant on external advice when taking the next action, resulting in a weaker strategy and a lower performance. In this chapter the authors introduce a conceptual approach to feedback in E-Learning with serious games; how useful or harmful it can be in a learning process. They describe a case study carried out with a simulation of an educational planning task. The authors studied the performance of 43 learners who had, or did not have, visual destination feedback in a problem solving task. They conclude that in this context, too much assistance can be counterproductive.

<p>Learning to speak is not easy especially for the learners. The teacher always finds that the students or the learners are often reluctant because they are shy and difficult to express themselves in front of  other people, especially when they are being asked to give personal information or opinions. Then the started to introduce the material and explained the demonstration technique. In whilst activity, the teacher always asked the students to bring things that they would present in the following day. Then the teacher asked the students to discuss the steps with their friends how to make something before they started to demonstrate their properties. ABSTRACTIn this article, we present an innovation project involving more than 200 teachers in Infant, Primary and Secondary Education at schools in the Republic of El Salvador, which caused strategies and instruments to be reflected upon, trained and designed, and integrated projects to be set in motion. This innovative initiative promoted a change in the role of teachers toward a function as mediator, and the role of students, transforming them into active researchers and protagonists of their learning process. Similarly, the innovative action boosted participants’ social commitment to bringing about a transformation in the relevant contexts. Aware that the key to changing the educational model are teaching staff in a mediator or learning facilitator role, a process was implemented in which teachers were given advisory and monitoring support in each of its phases. The process was based on analysis and self-reflection on the teacher’s working method, taking into account the specific requirements in each different context and students’ interests and motivations. The results showed satisfaction on behalf of the teachers, and a student body engaged in their own learning process and social contexts. Contacto principal: [email protected]

The data collection is done by questionnaire and class observation. The population of this study consists of teaching staff at the Semarang State Polytechnic Accounting Department. The data is more qualitative, which is more in the form of a description of the characteristics of the respondents and not much related to the numbers. Sampling technique is done by population, namely all teaching staff of Semarang State Polytechnic Accounting Department. Data analysis is carried out by a Likert Scale of 5. The results indicate that Consultative Speech is the style most widely applied by the Teaching Staff of the Semarang State Polytechnic Accounting Department, while the oratoric speaking style is the least practiced style. Extemporan presentation method is the most widely applied method in the activities of the Teaching and Learning Process in the Semarang State Polytechnic Accounting Department, while the impromptu method is the least applied method. The most widely used body language is a smile, while eye flicker is the least applied body language. The distance between the Teaching Staff and Students in the Teaching and Learning Process activities that are most widely applied are groups (125-350 cm), while the least applied distance is intimate (50 cm). The results of this study support the previous research that the use of Body Language greatly affects the success of the Teaching and Learning process.

Interests and number of STMIK Balikpapan new student enrollments are increasing every year. The balance of the ratio of lecturers to students is one of the most important components in improving the quality and teaching and learning process of a university. Avoiding shortages in the number of lecturers can be realized by providing scholarship programs to alumni and teaching assistants. This study aims to build a multi criteria decision making application that can assist the Head of HRD in the process of receiving scholarships to advanced and effective study lecturers. The multi criteria decision making application developed in this study uses the SAW method. The implementation of the SAW method includes the process of evaluating the weighting of criteria, evaluating alternative weights, the matrix process, the results of decision making preferences, resulting in the weighting and ranking of each alternative candidate for the scholarship recipient. The results of the evaluation of multi-criteria application decision making in the study are expected to produce modeling with a high degree of accuracy. The results of the analysis carried out can provide alternative recommendations for prospective scholarship recipients to advanced study lecturers in STMIK Balikpapan.

This research is intended to know the effectiveness of quantum reading model by printing media with yen basis in reading concept learning to students of grade 4th elementary school. The problems are: profile of students reading concept competences, the learning process of reading concept, the learning process of reading concept by quantum reading model by printing media with yen basis, the effectiveness of quantum reading model by printing media with yen basis in reading concept learning, and students response of quantum reading model by printing media with yen basis. The trouble-shooting is by use quantum reading model by printing media with yen basis by assumption: if students need to do something therefore will be easily to motivate them in learning and get a better result.Population in this research is Grade 4th Students of elementary school at Sumber Regency, Cirebon. The sample is determined by purposive sampling. The objects in this research are quantum reading model by printing media with yen basis and students reading concept competences. Instruments in this research are sheets of questionnaire, sheets of learning observation, and reading concept competence test. Data that are collected are learning process and data of students reading concept competences. Collected data are analyzed by descriptive statistic analyze.Result of this research are: (1) the competences of students reading concept are good, (2) the learning process are done with students actively, (3) quantum reading model by printing media with yen basis can increase students activity and learning result, (4) quantum reading model by printing media with yen basis is effective to use in reading concept learning, and (5) the students response to reading concept learning by use quantum reading model by printing media with yen basis is very good.Base on the result of this research, get to be proposed for teacher to use quantum reading model by printing media with yen basis to increase students reading concept competence as one of alternative technique in learning, because it is able to motivate, grow the students interest, and increase students creativities to increase students reading concept competences.
