This research is about the students’ attitude toward the implementation of role-playing activities in English for business class of Management Department. English for Business is a compulsory subject for Management Department at Bina Bangsa University. The aim of this research was to describe students' attitudes towards the implementation of role-playing activities in the classroom. Role-playing activities is a very effective and powerful technique that can help students enhance their creativity and ability at speaking, it can create a favorable learning environment as well, and classes became more interactive and student-oriented.  40 students of the management study program who took English for Business subject took a part in this research. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews and observations which were then analyzed and tabulated. The results of this study showed that 80% of students had a positive attitude towards role playing activities during learning process. Recognizing their role in certain situations based on the topics studied in the class and playing the role made them easier to practice speaking English and enhance their English ability. Students were enthusiastic as well to learn English because it was fun for them. students are contented with their performance in role-playing activities

Abstract: The researcher conducted research about role playing activity in English for business at Gentiaras College. English for business is a compulsory subject for non-English study program. The purposes of this research were to identify the students’ attitude toward role palying activity in the class and the implementation of role play in the class. The participants of this research were 25 students from management study program who took English for business subject. Questionnaire and interview were used for collecting the data. Those data were then analyzed and tabulated. The result of this study is most students have positive attitudes to role playing activity during studying English for business. Given situation based on the topics and playing the role in the class makes the students more motivated to speak English. This activity facilitates them to improve and practice their English speaking ability. Keywords: Role playing, English for business, students’ attitude Abstrak: Peneliti melakukan penelitian tentang aktivitas bermain peran dalam Bahasa Inggris untuk bisnis di STIE Gentiaras. Bahasa Inggris untuk bisnis adalah mata pelajaran wajib untuk program studi non-Bahasa Inggris. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi sikap mahasiswa terhadap aktivitas bermain peran di kelas dan pelaksanaan bermain peran di kelas. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah 25 mahasiswa dari program studi manajemen yang mengambil mata kuliah Bahasa Inggris untuk bisnis. Kuesioner dan wawancara digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data. Data-data itu kemudian dianalisis dan ditabulasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah sebagian besar mahasiswa memiliki sikap positif terhadap aktivitas bermain peran selama belajar Bahasa Inggris untuk bisnis. Situasi yang diberikan berdasarkan pada topik dan memainkan peran di kelas membuat mahasiswa lebih termotivasi untuk berbicara bahasa Inggris. Kegiatan ini memfasilitasi mereka untuk meningkatkan dan melatih kemampuan berbahasa Inggris mereka. Kata Kunci: Bermain peran, bahasa Inggris untuk bisnis, sikap mahasiswa

Background : Midwifery care II is a compulsory subject at study program D3 of midwifery islamic of university of Madura, because it deals directly with the main task of the midwife, is attending births. For that, the learning process of midwifery care II needs special attention, both in term of theory and practice. Objective : The purpose of this study to analyze learning courses of midwifery care II. Method : Design used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Research to be conducted in the from of a single case study with one characteristic (one location). Respondents in this study include student, lectures, and head of study program. In this study there are three kind of data collection analysis. Technical validity of the data with triangulation sources and methode. Techniques used in the analysis process by using interactive analisys model. Result : (1) learning plan is done optimally enough, (2) implementation of learning using of variety of learning methods, (3) evaluations of learning is assesed trough middle test, final test and phase test, (4) contrains encountered in the process of learning that is student interest in learning is less, whereas how to evercome in the learning process are two way communication to determine the dificulty and provide more time for discussion.Conclution : learning process as a whole is less than optimal, because the lack student interest in learning and achivement of learning outcomes is still lacking, it is proved there are 39,59% of the students who have not completed the study with minimum valve of standart campus is 60.

Research published by Eurydice in 2015„Teaching Profession in Europe: Practices, Perceptions, and Policies” indicates to the significance of teaching vocation in a sustainability-oriented learning environment, but at the same time there is an indication of a low prestige of teaching vocation in Latvia. The situation in Latvia reveals a significant problem teacher trainers need to deal with. There are very high standards set for teachers’ profession, on the other side, the politics of the country is oriented towards a motivation of young specialists to choose teacher’s vocation. In order to train competent teachers this is essential to explore a motivation of learners to acquire teaching profession and to make a decision to work at school and in the kindergarten. The aim of this study is to explore reasons why youth in Latvia choose to study in the educational programs and to explore changes in students’ attitudes during their learning process in teacher training institutions.

This study was conducted with the purpose to determine motivation study from home, STAI Denpasar Bali students during the Covid-19 Pandemic, where the learning process from home starts in the third week of March 2020 until now. This study had implemented the method of survey and quantitative in nature. The number of 170 students consisting of the Management of Islamic Education, Islamic Religious Education, and Sharia Economics study program, were selected randomly as samples. A set of questionnaires was used as a research instrument. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively using frequency, percentage, and mean score in order to identify the level of motivation students study from home. The study found that average student learning motivation from home is in the sufficient category, which is 38.82 percent, this proves that even though there is the Covid-19 Pandemic struck, it did not decrease the learning motivation of STAI Denpasar students, and the appreciation given by the lecturer during the learning process from the house took place and the conducive learning environment created by lecturers and institutions was able to motivate students during learning from home during the Covid-19 Pandemic.

This study aims at describing the learning process and its influence to the learning improvement and character building. The subject of this study is a group of 23 students of semester five in Craft Education Study Program of Department of Arts and Craft Education. This research is designed as an action research which adopts the resarch methods applied by Kemmis and Metaggart and is conducted in two cycles. The data collecting technique was conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed based on Descriptive Qaualitative Research method.The research results show that the learning process improves, which leads to the manifestation of character building in Batik Craft Art course. This is indicated bt the changes of the students’ attitudes and behavior in class. The students pay attention to the course materials given by the lecturer, and they also actively join the discussions held in class. From the record of students’ assessment of each competence, it shows the improvement of the students’ grades in this course.

The main purpose of this research paper is to analyze the motivation of students in science education at Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Ekonomi (STIE) Jambi in the odd semester with Academic Year 2020/2021. Survey research method using motivation closed questionnaire is used in this research. The population in this research are Students at the Management Study Program of academic year 2020/2021 in the odd semester, with samples of 100 Respondents. Analysis of research data using descriptive statistical analysis. These conclusion reveals that the extrinsic factor is dominate students motivation in pursuing the Management Study Program at STIE Jambi were 60,47%, while intrinsic factors were 39,53%. It’s the meaning that the extrinsic factors were 20,94% greater than the intrinsic factors.

This study aimed to describe the English needs of the Economics Management Study Program of Pekalongan University based on the perception of the English lecturers. The research design of this research was descriptive qualitative. The total sample used was 2 English lecturers in the Economics Management study program. The research instrument used was a questionnaire with a measurement scale in the form of numbers. The research data was described through needs, real conditions in the classroom, and the desire of the lecturer. The real conditions of learning in the classroom become a basic guideline for achieving the learning objectives in the target needs. These results were also adjusted to the wishes (Wants). Thus, it could be seen that according to the lecturers 'perception, English was an ability that had to be mastered in order to fulfill the students' self-need to understand the economic context in using English. Moreover, understanding and mastering the material supported students to compete in the world of work. From the lecturers’ perspective, it was known that speaking ability was the most important ability to be owned by students, and the difficulties most often faced by students according to the lecturer was in listening skill.

The core competences of Environmental Sciences are to communicate and to understand the concepts of natural resources and environment, to solve related problems, and to have an environmental awareness. An effective effort is needed to train the environmental awareness. The purposes of this research were to evaluate how to train the attitudes of biology education study program students in the second semester who were taking the environment knowledge lecture. This research was quantitative and qualitative interpretation research by observing the learning process of Biology education students through lesson study. The research stages consisted of plan, do, and see in two cycles. The collected data included the results of observation on the learning process by the observer, the lecturers’ assessment related to the skills and attitudes during the learning process, and the students’ self-assessment on their attitudes. The data were analyzed descriptively. The research revealed that the students learned actively, they cooperated within groups, the class cleanliness was an indicator of attitude to environmental awareness because the lecturers always reminded the students related to the indicators of keeping the environment clean and treating garbage, the learning resources used challenged the students to work and discuss. The students’ attitudes towards environmental awareness are categorized as good-very good, the results of the lecturers’ assessment of the attitudes are categorized as good, and results of the students’ presentation skills are categorized as good-very good.

ABSTRACT              Learning language is a process of acquiring language. The successful of learning is influenced by whole aspects of learning such as learning environment. Krashen (1986) suggested, the teacher should create the learning environments as safe and comfort as possible, so all of the input which is given by the teacher can be accept well by the students. Moreover, there is a filter between teacher and student that could become a block input in acquiring language called affective filter. How high or how low the affective filter, it could influence to the learning process. In this study, the researcher tried to find the distinctions between classes with high and low affective filter. This study was conducted in Suryakancana University. The sample was an English class of English Education Study Program. The data gained by observed the class and giving the open-ended questionnaires. The result of the study shows that the class with high affective filter is uncomfortable for the student, and in contrast, the class with low affective filter make students feel comfortable in learning process. : The use of learning media is one of the critical success factors in higher education, therefore an educator must have innovation to use of learning media. The purpose of this research is to develop learning media based on the Inspiring Suit 8 on arbitration material courses of theoretical and practice for Volleyball 1 academic year 2018/2019 at IKIP Budi Utomo Malang. The existence of media will be a big successful support in learning process, so that students do not feel boredom because of the weaknesses of the lecturers, in which they are unable to provided good learning variation or even have difficulty in conveying or transferring knowledge. The research was descriptive qualitative design. The research subjects were students of Physical Education, Health, and Recreation Study Program who took volleyball theory and practice courses in the even semester academic year 2018/2019. The instruments used were the media expert review questionnaire, the learning expert questionnaire, and the trial analysis questionnaire. The questionnaire will be analyzed to see the feasibility of the developed media. Based on the data results review by media expert volleyball, media learning expert and field trials, it can be concluded that media developed is useful in learning process. In addition, it is used to provide independent motivation, which can be used in lesson for students.
