Purpose: The purpose of this study was to assess the effect of innovation on service delivery.Methodology: The study adopted descriptive research design. The study adopted a descriptive analysis by use of descriptive statistics such as mean and frequencies. The target population in this study was 280 employees working in Nairobi GPO. A mixed sampling technique was adopted. The sample size of this study was 65 employees of Nairobi GPO Huduma Centres and 5 members of the public. This study used primary data. Data was collected using questionnaires.Results: These findings imply that products/service innovations carried out at Huduma centers have contributed immensely on performance of the centers in Kenya. The findings indicated that the respondents rated technology innovations to have major positive effects on increasing the number of people served, reducing time of service delivery, increasing accountability and transparency and finally improving public understanding of government activities. These findings imply that Huduma center innovations faced lack of adequate resources during implementations.Unique contribution to theory, practice and policy: The study recommends that Huduma should involve their staff more in the innovation in order to have better service delivery. The study also recommends that Huduma centers should encourage their customers to give their feedback on services and products innovation at the centers for further development. The study also recommends that Huduma centers directors should encourage the employees to come up with new ways to better service delivery. Huduma centers should also address the issue of lack of adequate and sufficient finance since it poses a major challenge to development of innovations at the centers

Purpose:  The purpose of the study was to establish the effect of determinants of access to microcredit on financial performance of retailing SMEs in Wajir County, Kenya.Methodology: The study adopted a descriptive survey research design. The target population comprised of all the 5000 retailing small and medium enterprises in Wajir County where the units of analysis were the SME owners. The study used stratified random sampling and simple random sampling technique to come up with the sample. The target population was stratified into 6 strata (the 6 sub-counties in Wajir County). Further, random sampling was used to select 146 SMEs from each sub-county. The study used primary data which was largely quantitative and descriptive in nature. The questionnaires were self-administered with the help of two research assistants. The data analysis was undertaken using SPSS Version 20 where the statistics generated included descriptive statistics and inferential statistics.Results: The study findings revealed that savings, meeting the eligibility criterion, loan structuring and some socio economic characteristics positively and significantly affected the financial performance of SMEs in Wajir County.Unique contribution to theory, practice and policy: the study recommended that SMEs should take the initiative to increase the amount they saved so that they could increase their borrowing capacity. The study also recommended that SME owners needed to take the initiative of ensuring that they were all the time able to meet the necessary requirements needed for obtaining loans especially their documentation, business and repayment plans and aim at ensuring that they acquired the necessary collateral. It was further recommended that MFIs needed to ensure that the loan structure presented to SMEs were favorable. The study also recommended that it was necessary for SMEs to expand/grow their asset base so as to increase the ability to repay the loans. They also needed to expand their networks especially within the financial institutions circles so that they could increase the trust the MFIs had on them and for easy considerations for loans.

Purpose- This study focused on establishing the influence of voting in elections on responsive governance in Kenya. Its main objective was to establish the influence of voting in elections on responsive governance in Kenya. Methodology- Descriptive research design and positivism research philosophy were adopted. The study focused on a target population of 680 respondents from Eighty-five wards within Nairobi County, and data was collected from the following groups of respondents; Civil society representative, religious representative, ward administration representative, youth representative, women representative, the special interest group representative, a representative of the citizens’ anticipating county services and a representative of the old aged residents were targeted. A sample size of 139 respondents was determined though purposive sampling technique. Primary data was collected through questionnaires and secondary data through published materials. Data was analysed through SPSS and presented in tables. Hypothesis testing was done through the use of t-test. F test (ANOVA) was also conducted to ascertain the difference between groups on study variable. Findings- The study found that voting in elections has a positive and significant relationship with responsive governance. The study concluded that that citizen’s education influences their ability and decision to vote in leaders who are effective in service delivery. The study also concluded that incumbent leader performance influences achievement of county goals. Based on the study findings, the researcher recommends that there is need to establish, County, Sub-County and Ward Citizens Forums to enhance voter awareness of residents in local governance. The forums will specifically enable citizens to engage directly in the planning, policy making and monitoring of service delivery accorded to them. Originality/value – This paper fulfils an identified need in understanding how voting in elections can influence responsive governance. The study therefore recommends that all citizens should be empowered and given the rights to vote in their desired leader. Additionally, free and fair elections should be conducted to ensure that candidates with clear manifestos are elected.

This study aims: 1) to know the aspects that can be developed as a natural tourist attraction in Sanrobengi Island. 2) to know the public perception of the development of natural attractions in Sanrobengi Island. 3) to know the prospect of developing natural attractions in Sanrobengi Island. Objects in this study are tourists and the public. The data presented in the form of primary data taken from the questionnaire "Prospect of Sanrobengi Island Tourism Object Development in Boddia Village Galesong District Takalar District". Informant retrieval was taken using accidental sampling technique and purposive sampling technique. Data analysis used is qualitative descriptive analysis and SWOT analysis.The results show that the appropriate development strategy in the development of Sanrobengi Island as a natural tourist attraction is a strategy of Strength - Opportunities. The conclusions obtained include: physical aspect and social aspects strongly support the development of Sanrobengi Takalar Island as a natural tourist attraction. Public and tourist perceptions of natural attractions that agree to do more development. The development strategy that can be done include developing interest tourism, enhancing cooperation between central and local government, making promotion through website, banner, and billboards, local people's role in developing tourist object such as boat service utilization as well as maintaining and maintaining coral reef habitat environment.

The objective of the study is to examine the extent to which public awareness on County bursary fund allocation has influenced the retention of needy students in secondary school. The study employed survey design in the collection of data. A study sample of 133 respondents was engaged in from a total population of 6,093 obtained from a stratified random sampling technique. The questionnaire was the method of data collection used to gather the Primary data. The questionnaires were coded and edited for completeness and consistency. They were further processed by utilising statistical package for social sciences (SPSS) program. The analysis procedure included inferential examination and descriptive statistics. The descriptive analysis method provided the sample data in quantitative form, which ended in producing mean and standard deviation. The study established the relationship between dependent and independent variables by conducting regression analysis, which found out that the P-values of awareness of county bursary fund, was 0.001, which is less than 0.05 significance level; this implies that variable is significant. The study concludes that communication through the public participation forum, posters, radio social media was detailed enough to make the application and submission easy for the applicants. The study recommends that more awareness campaign should be enhanced using varies forms of communication. Still, posters and notices should be prioritised as they scored the highest value of 43.4 % as compared to other communication media. The researcher also concluded that the fund retained needy students in secondary school with 61.1% of the interviewed school principals, 65.9% of the bursary applicants and 80% of the bursary committee secretaries agreeing.

This study aims to analyze the factors forming the marketing mix at BNI Syariah customers in Padang Branch. This type of research is quantitative descriptive. The population of this research is customers of Islamic banks in the city of Padang with a sample of 100 customers obtained using Slovin formula. The sampling technique is accidental sampling. Research data are primary data collected by questionnaire. Instrument testing uses validity and reliability tests. Data were analyzed by descriptive analysis and factor analysis. The results of the study showed that of the eight factors there were six factors that influence the form of the marketing mix for customers of the BNI Syariah branch of Padang Branch.Keyword: Marketing Mix

This study aims to determine how Administration, Reporting and Accountability of Dana Nagari in Batang Anai District, Padang Pariaman Regency, West Sumatra Province. There are three (3) aspects in village funds, administration, reporting and accountability. To achieve these objectives, descriptive qualitative research methods are used. Data sources are primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques are carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation using qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. The results of the study show: (1) Administration carried out by the treasurer in the form of receipts and expenditures which are recorded in the general cash book, bank book, income details book, and financing details book which is equipped with receipts. (2) Reporting that the delay in disbursing village funds was due to the late regulation of the Regulations of the Regent of Padang Pariaman which caused the disbursement of stage I and phase II village funds to be delayed too late. (3) Accountability Submission of accountability reports to the public through various media, such as websites and billboards. Submission through this media can make it easier for the public to obtain information about the performance of the village government.

This research aimed to investigate the ground comfort assessment at the public open space in tourist area of Pangkajene River banks. The research methods used were the qualitative and quantitative method by filling in questionnaires, observation, interviews, and documentation. The samples were chosen using the purposive sampling technique from the users of the park. The data were analyzed using the descriptive analysis, codification, data reduction, matriculation, cross tabulation, and the evaluation system using Likert scale. The research results indicated that the park was inconvenience with the parkconvenience being 61.97%. The effect of the street vendors had caused either positive or negative impacts on the park- the positive impact was that the park had become the largest culinary center in Pangkep town so that it could attract the tourists to visit the park, while the negative impact was that the park looked less beautiful and less hygiene. This study aims to determine the perception of consumers of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) gas in Bima City. This type of research is quantitative descriptive. In this study the data used are primary data obtained from consumer LPG user questionnaires in the Bima City. Data were analyzed using univariable one-sample t-test analysis. The instrument was obtained from a questionnaire (questionnaire) that would be distributed and answered by LPG consumer users in the form of Likert scale questions. The population in this study is LPG consumer consumers in the City of Bima. The sample used is calculated using the formula Unknown Populations and the number of samples obtained is 96 consumers. As for the sampling technique using the accidental sampling method. After processing data using several statistical tools such as average values and descriptive analysis, the results of this study are the perceptions of LPG users who on average give good answers. LPG users state that the use of gas is more profitable than kerosene, in terms of cost being more economical, the cooking process is also faster and cleaner and there is no compulsion and receiving gas as a substitute for kerosene.

The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of human capital and organizational learning on company performance which is mediated by organizational competence. This research uses quantitative research with descriptive analysis approach. The population in this study were 75 respondents, each of whom worked for 3 MSMEs in the city of Jakarta. The sampling technique used is a saturated sample. The types of data in this study are primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques using observation techniques, in-depth interviews and questionnaires. The analysis technique is carried out with two main parts, namely the measurement model and the structural model. Based on the results of research data analysis, it can be concluded that: 1) Human Capital has a positive and significant effect on organizational competency with a t-statistic value of 5.176; 2) Organizational Learning has a positive and significant effect on organizational competency with a t-statistic value of 4.786; 3) Human Capital has a positive and significant effect on Company Performance mediated by organizational competence with a t-statistic value of 5.387; 4) Organizational Learning has a positive and significant effect on Company Performance mediated by organizational competence with a t-statistic value of 3.175; and 5) Organizational Competency does not directly affect the Company's Performance with a t-statistic value of 1.571.

<p>PT Trubus Mitra Swadaya is a company engaged in the agribusiness industry that sells a wide range of agricultural goods. The development of the agribusiness industry, particularly agricultural stores are now increasing to fiercer competition. The objectives of this research were (1) Identify the level of knowledge management at PT Trubus Mitra Swadaya, (2) Identify the level of the activities associated with knowledge management at PT Trubus Mitra Swadaya, and (3) Analyzing the perceptions of employees regarding the application of knowledge management at PT Trubus Mitra Swadaya. The data that used in this research were primary data and secondary data. Collecting the respondences was done by quota sampling technique, database examine was done by descriptive analysis, average value calculation analysis, and chi-square analysis.<br />The result of average value calculation analysis showed level implementation of knowledge management was excellent (67,01%), represented from strongly agree answered 20,75% and agree answered 46,26%. Moreover, employees said bad, represented from less agree answered 19,97% and disagree 13,02%. In this research, found at least two components which employees feel valued and still yet to be repaired, that was 1) knowledge and 2) work time. The result average value calculation showed level of activity associated with knowledge management was less good (42,78%), represented five to ten times answered 22,78% and more than ten times 20%. Moreover, employees answered never 30% and less than five times 20%. The result chi-square showed employees’ perception about knowledge management based on employee characteristics where the majority of employees agreeing with the implementation of knowledge management.</p>
