The study examined the implementation of board games through the students’ achievement in writing skill through descriptive text at SMPN 18 Surabaya. It used the pre-test post-test design in classroom action research model for the students in class VIII-G as subjects selected from sampled classes. T-test was used as the statistical technique for the data analysis. The hypotheses were tested at 0.05 level of significance. The results showed the data in the tables t-Test: Paired Two Sample for Means (VIII-G) reveal that the obtained t-value was -10.83171521 which were well above the limit of 0.05 of significance. The post-test had a higher mean of 80.39473684. While the pre-test had a mean of 69.36842105. Because p-value (4.97263E-13) was less than the standard significance level of 0.05, researchers can reject the null hypothesis (Ho). Thus, the second hypothesis (Ha) was accepted regarding there is significant effect of the implementation of board games through the students’ achievement in writing skill through descriptive text. It is hereby recommended that English teachers should adapt this model to enhance students’ achievement in other English skills. For students, it is suggested they have to be more paying attention to the model of teaching being applied such as the implementation of board games through the students’ achievement in writing skill through descriptive text so they can be able to explore their skill of writing as well. Other researches, however, should explore to investigate the effect of other games on specific writing genres.

The aimed of this research is to find out does the use of free writing technique improve students’ writing skill or not. The research conducted at SMPN 1 Kembang Tanjong with experimental research design. The population was all of the eighth grade students with the total number of students were 106. The sample was class VIII 1 as experimental class and VIII 2 as control class. The instrument used in pre-test and post-test was a set of written test. Rubric scoring system by Heaton used to analyze the students writing score and independent T-test used to analyze the data. The result of data analysis showed that in pre-test the students at experimental class got mean score 53,5 while at control class got 52,10. In post-test, the students at experimental class who taught writing by using free writing technique got a mean score 78,08 and at control class students who was not got the treatment as in experimental class only got a mean score 57,70. The result of independent T-test, at pretest t-count ? t-table (0,154 ? 1,685) and P-value ? level of significance (0,879 ? 0,05) it means there were no significantly differences between experimental class and control class at pre-test and at posttest t-count ? t-table (3.845 ? 1,685) and P-value ? level of significance (0,00 ? 0,05) it means teaching writing by using free writing technique improve significantly the students writing skill. Tuberculosis is an airborne disease caused by the bacterium mycobacterium tuberculosis, transmission occurs when a person inhales droplet nuclei containing mycobacterium tuberculosis, is spread from person to person through the air. The health cadres play an essential role for tuberculosis control and prevention. Therefore tuberculosis knowledge and skills among health cadres needs to be strengthened. Knowledge is a very important factor in shaping a person's actions, behaviors based on knowledge will last longer than those without it. This study aims to analyze and to prove the influence of education with montage learning methods in strengthening the role of health cadre in TB control and prevention. Used an pre experimental design and one group pre test and post test design with sampel of 20 people. Data collected using a questionnaires. Analysis used paired t-test with a significance level of 5% (α = 0,05). The result of the study provides that knowledge and skills of health cadres about TB control and prevention before intervention shows the lowest score of 58,75±14,59 and after intervention of 74,25±10,30. The results of the research used paired t-test showed that the cadres knowledge and skills about TB control and prevention rise after the montage learning methods, while the value of p value was 0,003 < 0,05.

<div class="Section1"><p><em>ANALYSIS OF   PRICE EFFECT,   PRODUCTS   AND DE-SIGN QUALITIES   TO BUYING DECISIONS of HONDA SKUTERMATIC  MOTORCYCLES. This research is a field of  research and using a quantitative approach. While the sample in this study is that consumers / users of motorcycle of  Honda skutermatic by distributing questionnaires as much as 75 respondents. Sampling used techniques sampling insidenta. The analytical method used is multiple linear regression method and using t - test with a significance level a = 5%. Results from this study show that first: the price has an influence on the purchase decisions of  Honda types of skutermatic vehicles on public from the kudus District, it is proved by  t- test to show the price t is greater than t table (4,140&gt; 1,992) with 75 df  and probability value of  0.000 is below the 5% level of significance. Secondly, the quality has a negative influence on purchasing decisions and it is evidenced by the results of  the t value of  1.157 and t table amounted to 1.992, so the t-count is smaller than t-table (1.157 &lt;1.992) of  df  75 with a P value of  0.251. And third, the design has an influence on the purchase decisions of  Honda types of skutermatic vehicles in Kudus society. This is evidenced from the t test results showing that for the design of t is greater than t table (3.073&gt;</em><em>1.992), while the value of  the P value of  0.003 which is above 5% Alpha.</em></p></div><p><strong>K</strong><strong>eywords: </strong><em>Price, Quality, Design, Purchase Decision.</em></p><p><em>P</em><em>enelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian field reserch dan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. ABSTRAK            Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah  kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Fan-N-Pick berbantuan video pembelajaran lebih tinggi dari kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu dengan post-test only group design. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah siswa Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Singaraja pada semester II tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Sampel dipilih dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Uji kesetaraan sampel menggunakan uji-t. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa Kelas VIII A1 dan Kelas VIII A5 sebagai kelompok eksperimen serta siswa Kelas VIII A9 dan Kelas VIII A4 sebagai kelompok kontrol. Data tentang kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa diperoleh melalui tes uraian kemampuan koneksi matematis. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji-t satu ekor (ekor kanan) pada taraf signifikansi 5%. Pada kelas unggulan hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa thitung = 3.862 dengan taraf signifikansi 5% diperoleh ttabel = 1.671 dan pada kelas non unggulan hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa thitung = 6.054 dengan taraf signifikansi 5% diperoleh ttabel = 1.671  . Ini artinya, kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Fan-N-Pick berbantuan video pembelajaran lebih tinggi dari kemampuan matematis siswa yang mengikuti pembelajran konvensional. Kata Kunci :     Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe Fan-N-Pick Berbantuan Video Pembelajaran, Pembelajaran Konvensional, Kemampuan Koneksi Matematis Siswa.ABSTRACT               This research aims to determine whether the students’ mathematical connection ability which learn with model cooperative learning type Fan-N-Pick aided learning video was higher than the students’ mathematical connection ability that learn by conventional learning. This research is a quasi-experiment research with post-test only group design. The population in this research was the students of SMP Negeri 1 Singaraja in the second semester of academic year 2017/2018. The sample of this research was determined by cluster random sampling technique. The process of equaliting the sampel was done by using t-test. The sample in this research was the  students of Class VIII A1 and Class VIII A5 as experimental group and students of Class VIII A9 and Class VIII A4 as control group. Data on students' mathematical connection capability was obtained through a mathematical connection capability test. Data were analyzed by using t-test of one tail (right tail) at 5% significance level. In the superior class, the result of analysis shows that tcount = 3.862 with significance level of 5% obtained ttable = 1.671 and in non-superior class analysis result show that tcount = 6,054 with significance level 5% obtained ttable = 1.671. This means that the students' mathematical connection ability which were taught with model cooperative learning type Fan-N-Pick aided learning video was higher than the students’ mathematical connection ability that learn by conventional learning.Keywords  :      Model Cooperative Learning Type Fan-N-Pick Aided Learning Video, Conventional Learning, Students’ Mathematical Connection Ability.

Breast milk is the exclusive food for babies, nutritional value contained in breast milk is very high that he actually does not require any additional external composition. And breast milk is a food that is easily digestible by infants is absorbed through the mother's nipple. In fact there are many mothers that breastfeeding postpartum was not smooth, as coverage in the village of UPT Puskesmas Poreh Working Area entirely Lenteng 20 respondents (100%) that her breast milk is not smooth. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of ginger consumption by postpartum mothers to lactation. Independent variables are Temulawak consumption, while the Dependent Variable is the smoothness of milk production. The study design used is a pre-experimental study with pre-test and post-test group design. The population 20 puerperal women in the village Poreh Work Area UPT Puskesmas Lenteng in July and December 2016. In its sample 20 respondents, taken by nonprobability sampling. Data collection methods such as observation sheets and then analyzed by Paired t-test with significance level α = 0.05. Having analyzed the results obtained respondents indicated experiencing breast milk changes smoothly after being given the consumption of ginger namely data showed that out of20 respondents, who breastfed her smoothly as many as 18 respondents (90%), and that her breast milk is not smooth 2 respondents (10 %). From the statistical test result obtained Paired t-test p value <α which means (0,000 <0,05), which means that H0 rejected H1 accepted which means there Effect Consumption of Mother Ginger By Ruling Against Smooth milk production. This study is expected to postpartum mothers whose milk production was not well can consume ginger, because the results of research on the consumption of ginger affect lactation

This research  uses of Listen Read Discuss strategy in reading comprehension. This research was conducted based on formulation of the problem. The objective of this research was to know whether there was any significant effect of using Listen Read Discuss Strategy (LRD) strategy toward reading students’ comprehension at the eighth grade of MTS Nurul Falah Kresek. The writer used quantitative research by using quasi experimental research method. Class VIII B as the experimental group which was consisted of 20 students, class VIII A as the control group which was  consisted of 20 students. The data were collected by reading test. It can be seen from the result pretest and post-test in experimental and control class. The writer analyzed by using t-test. The result of this research revealed that the post-test scores were better than the pre-test scores. It can be seen from the result of t-test. The criteria of two tailed test with significance level (α = 0.05 ) was T table ≤ T test ≤ T table: H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. The result of computation got T test = 3.226 and T table = 0.444. It means 0.444 < 3.226 > 0.444. H0 is rejected and Ha was accepted. Based on the conclusion above, it can be concluded that reading comprehension through LRD strategy was more effective for increasing reading comprehension. There is the differences of the teaching learning process between two classes. In the other words, students’ reading comprehension that were taught through LRD strategy was higher than those who were not through LRD strategy.

This research was aimed to find out  The Effectiveness of Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) is effective towards students’ writing. The research was quasi experimental research and the design that used was the pre-test and post-test design. The population of the study was the second grade students of SMPN 4 Praya Barat which consisted of two classes. Those classes were took as the samples, those were VIIIC as experimental class and VIIIA as control class. Experimental class was treated by using Team Assisted Individualizati0n (TAI) and control class was treated by using Roundtable technique. The instrument that was used essay test, the topic was about descriptive text. The score were analyzed by using descriptive and inferential analysis, descriptive analysis was used to describe mean, median, mode and standard deviation both of group, and the inferential analysis was used describe the value of t-test for comparison between t-table. Based on the analysis, it shows that the value of (t-test) was 2,95 is higher than the value of (t-table) was 1,688 as the level of significance level was 0,05 and the number of degree of freedom (df) was 36. Therefore, based on the result of the analysis, it be concluded that Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) was effective toward students’ writing. The results of this research showed that Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) was compatible in writing because the technique given many advantages, the students’ feel comfortable to learn in group and they were argued that Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) make the teaching learning process more interesting since they can ask and can be peer tutoring for their friends. Finally, the researcher suggests that in teaching writing the teacher should be creative in preparing and delivering writing materials.

This research is aimed to find out whether Talking Chips has positive effect or not toward students’ self-assurance in speaking of the second grade students at SMAN 4 Mataram. The research was experimental research and the design used was Pre Experimental with one group without control group and used one group pre-test post-test design only. The population of the study was the second grade students of SMAN 4 Mataram which consisted of one class (19 students). One class was chosen by using accidental sampling technique and the result was XI IPS 1. In collecting the data pre-test and post-test were done. And then, the data analyzed by using SPSS. The result of data analysis showed that t-test was 3.457 and t-table was 2.109, it means that t-test was higher than t-table as the level of significance level 0,05. It can be concluded that teaching self-assurance in speaking skill at SMAN 4 Mataram using talking chips produce much greater change in the students’ self-assurance in speaking. On the other words, talking chips technique is effective in teaching self-assurance in speaking at SMAN 4 Mataram.

Dengue Haemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a viral infection transmitted by mosquitoes causing potentially deadly complications. The typical sign of this case is getting high fever until 3-7 days then it drops quickly. To make a lower body temperature, compress the body with warm water by using tepid sponge and sponge bath techniques. The objective of this study to determine the effect of compresses with tepid sponge and sponge bath techniques on changes in children's body temperature with DHF. This study used quantitative research with quasi-experiment design two group pre-test post-test design approach. The population of 30 children with fever, with purposive sampling technique using the Lemeshow formula. The analysis used was paired T-test, Wilcoxon, and Mann Whitney at a significance level of 0.05. Wilcoxon statistical test results show there is a tepid sponge effect on children body temperature with DHF with a p-value of 0.001. The dependent t-test shows there is an influence of sponge bath in children body temperature with DHF p-value of 0,000. The Mann witney test shows that Sponge bath is more effective than a tepid sponge in reducing fever with a p-value of 0,000. The conclusion of this study can be used as a guide for treating children with fever with the issuance of a standard SPO. Application of this method needs to involve parents to maintain the comfort of children, so it needs to make socialization to parents.

This study aims to determine the completeness of the mathematics learning outcomes of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Saling in the 2020/2021 academic year after the Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) learning model is applied. This type of research is a pre-experimental design with a pre-test and post-test group design. The population in this study were all students of class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Saling in the academic year 2020/2021, totaling 54 students and as the research sample, namely class VIII.A one study group totaling 12 students. The data was collected by using test techniques, namely pre-test and post-test. The collected data were analyzed using t-test at the significant level α = 0.05. Based on the results of the t-test analysis with a significance level of α = 0.05, it was obtained tcount (5.9495)> ttable (2.201), so it can be concluded that the mathematics learning outcomes of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Saling after being applied with the Student Team learning model Achievement Division (STAD) is significantly complete.
