The task of specialists in the field of physical education and sports is to control such requirements in sports and games as hardening the health of the younger generation, increasing their performance, and adapting the body to various living conditions. Recently, the scientific papers characterizing the useful side of sports and games can be found as much as possible for the athlete’s body. Various methodological aids, recommendations aimed at improving sports training, skills and abilities, improving the health value of sports have been developed. Being a complex pedagogical system based on folk experience, sports and games not only solve the problems of developing simple motor qualities, but also help to reveal its deep complex sides, prepare the body for complex physical and psychological stresses. Recently, young people are increasingly beginning to pay attention to sports. Through the proper organization of the training of motor skills, it is possible to achieve comprehensive physical training for young people.

Abstract Physical training, a component of the sports training aims, besides the development of morphological and functional indexes of the body and mastering a rich system of motor skills and capabilities, the development and improvement of the basic motor qualities at high performance parameters. Most motor activities require the endowment of athletes with possibilities to make intensive efforts in a very short period of time. Therefore, the issue that is focusing on the study of this field is very important for achieving the targeted performance.

The experience of combat operations conducting in the eastern part of Ukraine in 2014-2020 convincingly demonstrated the need to increase the requirements for professional training of servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Physical training is one of the main subjects of professional training and an important means of psychophysical readiness formation of servicemen of various military specialties for modern extreme professional and combat activities. The aim of the study is to examine the efficiency of the experimental academic program of the discipline of Physical Education, and Special Physical Training concerning the formation of psychophysical readiness of cadets of technical higher military educational institutions for future professional and combat activity. The study was conducted at S. P. Koroliov Zhytomyr Military Institute. 120 male cadets participated in the experiment. An experimental group (EG), which consisted of the cadets who were studying according to the experimental working academic program of the discipline (n=60), and a control group (CG), which included the cadets studying according to the current working academic program of the discipline (n=60) were formed. The criteria of the efficiency of the experimental program are determined to be the indicators of general and special physical fitness of cadets and the level of professionally important psychological qualities. Research methods: theoretical analysis and generalization of scientific and methodical literature, pedagogical observation, pedagogical experiment, methods of mathematical statistics. It was discovered that conducting classes according to the experimental program contributed to the improvement of the level of development of the cadets’ special physical qualities, mastering military-applied skills, the formation of professionally important psychological qualities. The most significant changes in EG cadets occurred in overcoming obstacle course, holding the angle on parallel bars, holding the body in a horizontal position, tests for determination of attention distribution and volume, mental performance – at the end of the experiment, and the indicators of EG cadets were significantly (p˂0.05-0.001) better than those of CG.It proves the necessity of correcting the academic program of Physical Education and Special Physical Training for senior cadets with the aim of their psychophysical readiness formation for future professional and combat activity.

LANGUAGE NOTE | Document text in English; abstract also in Chinese. The purpose of this study was to examine perceived motivators and constraints among regular players of pick-up basketball games. Sixty-five basketball players were invited to participate in the study. The instrument assessing participants’ perceived motivators and constraints of participating in pick-up basketball games was adapted from the works on leisure motivators and constraints. Results indicated that the primary motivators for the players playing pick-up basketball games were having fun (77.9%), improving physical fitness (55.9%), becoming fit (52.9%), and improving basketball skills (41.2%). The major constraints the players perceived were lack of leisure time (55.9%), lack of basketball courts (45.6%), hard to find friends to play with (17.6%), and too much work (16.2%). The findings of the study may imply that in order to promote physical activity policy-makers should help create better physical environments such as the access to the basketball courts. Additionally, physical education professionals must help young people develop motor skills to enjoy the activity.

Tennis 10 is a method based on the principle of "Game Based Approach", used mainly for children between the age of 7-10 (sometimes in the case of adults also) and using game materials adapted to the players' age (lower nets, sponge balls, smaller wooden or plastic rackets), thus making it easier for the players to learn the game. The method is effective for the quick learning of tennis because the use of materials adapted to the players' size allows more time to react, giving the players self-confidence and increasing their motivation to play and progress. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of the Tennis 10 method on the development of general motor skills in children, considering that the general physical training helps develop the body harmoniously, being also a premise and a condition for getting remarkable results in tennis.

Abstract: The article analyzes the aspects related to the dynamics and direction of the effort in the military physical education and sports training session. At the same time, during the article we will present the general characteristics of the effort in physical activities, characteristics that are absolutely valid for many disciplines in the process of military training. It is also noted that the specific efforts of physical education and sports in the army are important energy consumers as they demand the somato-functional and mental response of the military. In this sense, the proper dosing and directing of the effort involves improving the body of the military at different levels, necessary for the training for fighting at performance standards.
