The article is devoted to the problem of professional development and career development of officers of the armed forces, other troops and military formations. The relevance of this problem is due to the rapidly changing conditions of the military-pedagogical environment. At present traditional forms and methods of professional training cannot fully meet the demand of military personnel for the formation of self-development, self-actualization and self-realization skills. In this regard the author raises the question of the need to find new approaches and views on the process of improving professional training, the result of which should be the readiness of officers to build, design and develop a military career. The author suggests using coaching, the methodology of which is focused on the disclosure of professional and personal potential and the awakening of the activity of officers as promising forms and methods of military professional training. The concepts of «profession-oriented army coaching» and «army coach» are clarified. It is emphasized that the technology of coaching is new for the military sphere and requires substantial and technical adaptation to the army reality. In this work the author presents the concept of profession-oriented army coaching, taking into account the ideas of the acmeological approach, the military specifics and the architecture of the coaching process. The goals, objectives, principles, directions and conditions for the implementation of coaching in the army environment are defined. The author comes to the conclusion that in the army environment, the coaching and acmeological approaches have similar views, combining the search for ways to maximize self-expression in the military profession and the optimal ways to organize professional activity to achieve success in the future. The concept of profession-oriented army coaching proposed by the author reflects the requirements for finding new approaches to the process of improving the professional training of military personnel, imposed by the modern training and combat process of the armed forces. The practical implementation of this concept became development and introduction of «Profession-oriented army coaching» teaching guide to the learning process of military universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The author sees the prospect of further work in the use of profession-oriented army coaching in the troops in organizing classes for the professional development of personnel.

The position of the Military Court is a body that executes the judicial power in the circle of the Indonesian National Armed Forces to enforce the law and justice with due observance of the interest in the state defense and safety. The Military Court is authorized to try the crimes committed by someone who when committing such crime is a soldier of the Indonesian National Armed Forces, a member of a group or office or body or equal to a soldier pursuant to the Law and someone is not included in the said group as set forth in the Law Number 31 of 1997 on Military Court. Following the reform of 1988, the existence of the Military Court is developed by some activists and the public that observe the Military Court, insisting the Parliament of the Republic of Indonesia to revise Law Number 31 of 1997 on Military Court, with the focus point for a soldier of the Indonesian National Armed Forces who commits a general crime to be tried in the General Court with the reason that the Military Court practice is closed in nature, and another reason is the equalization of rights before the law. Traditionally, the military is seen as an unequivocally authoritarian organization. With survey data collected at the Royal Danish Military Academy, this study shows that that is a qualified truth. Thus, cadets enrolled directly from the noncommissioned officer corps—those most acquainted with the norms of the armed forces—do not weigh authoritarian leadership values over nonauthoritarian ones. Instead, their view reflects that for the experienced leader, the context, and not overt ideals, enables them to choose the leadership tools they expect will prove most effective. On the contrary, cadets enrolled based on their civilian merits clearly prioritize authoritarian values. This is particularly true among cadets returning to the military after a break, former professionals, and former draftees alike. Their view also reflects experience, but a different kind of experience, as they have primarily encountered the military hierarchy from the receiving end.

This paper examines the historical roots of the emergence of the involvement of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Indonesia (ABRI) in the socio-political field, especially several reasons that form the basis of government policy to involve ABRI in the socio-political and economic fields, as well as ABRI’s own efforts to play a role in these fields. This historical approach research concluded that ABRI’s involvement in the socio-political field in Indonesia had begun since the government of Guided Democracy under President Soekarno. Politically, the reason for Soekarno’s inclusion of the military in his government structure was due to the failure of civilian politicians in formulating state ideology with no agreement between parties in the constituent assembly. This failure is considered to endanger national political stability and threaten the integrity of the country. For this reason, President Soekarno recruited the military to balance civilian politicians in his government. Along with its involvement in the socio-political field, ABRI also plays a role in socio-economics. Although at first, this role was limited to securing national private companies which were legacies of foreign companies, but during the New Order government, the dual function of ABRI was confirmed and its role was wider. Almost all strategic economic sectors are controlled by ABRI.

The essence and main characteristics of the hybrid war are reviewed as a means of destroying the enemy country from inside due to the effective combination of conventional armed forces, subversion, propaganda, and dissemination of misinformation. The hybrid tactics used by the Russian Federation in Ukraine and Georgia are investigated. A comparativeanalysisof the military component in the confrontation between Russia, Ukraine and Georgia is conducted, the peculiarities of informational and psychological confrontation and factors that led to the significant achievements of the Russian side in the hybrid warfare are revealed, economic aspect of the hybrid confrontation are clarified (especially regarding the factors of financial, energy and raw material dependence) and, finally, the key conditions for the widespread use of hybrid methods of confrontation during modern armed conflicts are identified. Thedifference is proved between conflicts in Georgia and Ukraine, mainly in the use of military means. It is established that the conditions for the conflict in Crimea were unique, or at least extremely rare, and they can hardly be reproduced in any other place. It is noted that in the future, hybrid war will become rather a situational phenomenon, because the implementation of aggressive actions against another state without the necessary conditions for it will lead either to a quick defeat of the aggressor state, or will force such a state to move toconventional warfare, which requires significant financial costs and inevitably will cause decline in the prestige of such a state within the international community.
