The purpose of this study is to investigate users’ attitude towards the use of smart phones to access information by the students of Bodoland University in Kokrajhar, Assam. It is carried out in order to know the extent of use of the mobile phone for accessing library services and other information. A survey has been conducted in which random sampling technique has been applied for the collection of data i.e., 250 PG students of Bodoland University were asked to fill the structured questionnaires and in the same day, duly filled-in questionnaires were collected. The data were analyzed and presented in the form of tables and graphs. From the study, it revealed that the population taken for the study are all using smart phone, majority are using since 5 years, total 14 different brands were used, in which Samsung was popular among the mentioned brands and PANASONIC, NOKIA and Karbonn are the least used brand by the respondents, majority uses phone for the purpose of accessing information, paid internet service is mostly used and indicated 4G as most preferred paid internet service. It also examined the frequency of using smart phone. The study found that majority 192 students are not using smart phone for accessing any library services, only 58 students are recorded of accessing library services mostly for the purpose of searching books or checking catalogue and 46% students are satisfied, 44% are highly satisfied and the least 10% are partially satisfied.

With the rapid development of smart-phone applications, how to make the ordering process via smart-phones more convenient and intelligent has become a hotspot. This paper puts forward a method of restaurant dish recommendation relying on position information and association rules. In addition, this paper has designed and developed a restaurant recommendation system based on mobile phone. The system would fetch the real-time location information via smart-phones, and provide customers personalized restaurant and dish recommendation service. According to the related applications, this system can successfully recommend the related restaurants and food information to customers.

Aims: This paper evaluates the economic analysis of Irish Potato (Solanum tuberosum) marketing in the metropolitan markets of Bauchi State. Study Design: A sample random sampling technique was used in selecting eighty (80) respondents (30 wholesalers and 50 retailers). Place and Duration of Study: The study was done at Bauchi State, Nigeria. Methodology: Questionnaire was used to collect data on the socio-economic characteristics of the marketers and other information on cost/return from the respondents. It was however complemented with oral interviews. Results: The results shows that the enterprise is a profitable venture in the metropolitan markets of Bauchi with a Benefit Cost Ratio (BCR) of (1.84) Yelwa Tudu market compared to other markets, while acquisition cost constitutes the highest proportion of the total cost of marketing potato. The majority of the marketers were female (57.75%) with 70% of the total respondents falling within the age bracket of 30-50 years. Majority of the marketers had a marketing experience of 1-10 years (58.73%). Also 70% of the marketers were married and 57% started their business with personal savings. Conclusion: The present study identified different challenges in Irish potatoes production and marketing in Bauchi State, Nigeria.

The aims of this case study are to design, practice, and evaluate a group of comparative strategies for one of the leading smart phone companies in the world: Xiaomi Inc. to turn a crisis into an expansion opportunity. First, the worldwide market of smart phones is illustrated. Second, we show the highly competition of smart phones in China market. Third, the development of Xiaomi Inc. is overviewed. Finally, we use several strategic matrixes: (1) IFE, (2) EFE, (3) CPM, (4) SWOT, (5) SPACE, (6) BCG, (7) IE, (8) GSM, (9) QSPM to evaluate and develop strategies for Xiaomi so as to change crisis into a turning point.

The objective of this research is to examine the effect of compensation, achievement motivation, and working ethic towards employee performance of Taufiqurrahman Foundation in Bekasi. The research was conducted using quantitative approach and method of survey. The size of population in this research is 100 employees at Taufiqurrahman Foundation. Reseach sample were selected as 66 employees using sample random sampling technique. The data obtained with questionaires and tests. The analiytical method used in data analyzing is path analysis technique.The result shows that compensation, achievement motivation, and working ethos have positif direct effect toward the employees performance of Taufiqurrahman Foundation in Bekasi. The findings lead to recommendation that in order to build compensation, achievement motivation and working ethic should be considered seriously.

This study focuses on exploring the pattern of mobile phone usage among youngsters in Pakistan to delineate the extent of addictive behavior towards its usage. For this purpose questionnaires were used to elicit the responses. University students were selected as population and simple random sampling technique was used. Sample was consisting of 500 students out of which 400 students responded back comprising 80% response rate for this research. Findings of this study revealed that majority respondents are able to have definite priorities between their responsibilities & commitments and their cell phone usage. Very few are those who always exhibit the extreme addictive behaviors and rest is the majority who are not frequently involved in addictive usage patterns. Thus, youngsters use their cell phones under reasonable limits and do not tend towards extreme behaviors leading towards addictive cell phone usage.

University students become the main target of marketing of information technology developers. Based on the results of a survey with random sampling technique on users of wireless fidelity (wi-fi) service and internet service providers on smartphones, there are 98% of physics students use it and 80% of them actively use it to access various social media. Interactive learning media developed and accessible via smartphone but it is not widely used by lecturers and students yet. There is only 14.3% of lecturers who use e-learning. Virtual Class on e-learning is an online learning environment, in the form of web-based, portal or software. Learning in the real world, every participant both lecturers and students must meet the rules agreed upon during the college contract. One of the strategies to improve the independence of study of physics student is through learning media based on Virtual Class assisted by Google drive. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a lesson that can support conventional learning in the classroom. Mahasiswa menjadi sasaran utama marketing para pengembang teknologi informasi. Berdasarkan hasil survei yang dilakukan dengan teknik random sampling pada pengguna layanan wifi dan layanan internet provider pada gawai, terdapat 98% mahasiswa fisika menggunakannya dan 80% diantaranya aktif menggunakannya untuk mengakses berbagai media sosial. Media pembelajaran interaktif banyak dikembangkan dan dapat diakses melalui gawai. Akan tetapi, belum banyak digunakan dosen dan mahasiswa, hanya 14,3 % saja dosen yang menggunakan e-learning. Virtual Class pada e-learning merupakan lingkungan belajar online, berupa berbasis web, portal atau software. Pembelajaran di dunia nyata, setiap peserta baik dosen maupun mahasiswa harus memenuhi aturan yang disepakati saat kontrak kuliah. Salah satu strategi untuk meningkatkan kemandirian belajar mahasiswa fisika adalah melalui media pembelajaran berbasis Virtual Class berbantuan Google drive. Oleh karenanya, perlu dikembangkan pembelajaran yang dapat menunjang pembelajaran konvensional di kelas

The most preferred tools of technology today are internet and smart phones. Nowadays, these two tools offer numerous services and facilities to humanity in many areas. Accessing technology at any time, having a pleasant time, interacting without the limitations of face to face communication are some of them. That is why; individuals have become unable to live without internet and smartphones. Especially the rapid developments in information and communication technologies, internet and social media media, which is among the means of access to smart phones among university students and has made widespread use. In this context, a case study was conducted in order to examine the opinions of the students about the use of smart phones in Vocational High School students. For this purpose, the students' opinions were taken with a structured interview form. The questions in the interview form were developed by the researchers by conducting a comprehensive literature review. Expert opinion was consulted in the preparation of the interview form. The experts evaluated the suitability of the questions in terms of scope and language. The study group consisted of 10 students from the Department of Computer Programming and Computer Technology of Kafkas University. It is foreseen that the results of the research can lead to future scientific studies.

This study investigated the relationship between library services and the availability of information resources in federal university libraries, in South-South, Nigeria. To achieve the purpose of this study, two research questions were raised and two hypotheses were formulated to guide the study. The ex-post facto research design was adopted for the study. The population of the study was 16620 students and a sample of 800 respondents was selected for the study. The selection was done through the stratified and purposive random sampling technique. The results of the analyses revealed a significant relationship between user education and preservation of information resources and availability of information resources. Based on these findings, it was recommended, among others that: User education should be adequately given to students to enable them to make the most use of the information resources and Government should prioritize funding for the preservation of information resources for university libraries.

Aim: According to the world health organization, health means the person is not only free from any physical and psychological illness but (s)he should be fit socially too as well as no health without mental health. The present study aimed to investigate the level and difference of mental health and mobile phone addiction among adolescences. Methods: This study was done on 400 adolescences (200 boy and 200girl students) through random sampling technique. Mithila Mental Health Status Inventory and mobile phone addiction were used to collect data. Data were analyzed by using Mean, S.D, t-test and f-test. Results: Result proves it there is interaction affect among gender and level of mobile phone addiction in terms of mental health as well as no significant difference in mental health among adolescence between low mobile phone addiction and average mobile phone addiction level.

Martapura river is the center of Banjarmasin’s local life, especially for water transportation and its famous floating market tourism spot. Due to various floating objects in Martapura river, a method to detect those objects is needed to control the condition of the river. In general, there are several methods to detect objects such as Gaussian, Support Vector Machine (SVM), Independent Component Analysis (ICA) and the newest method called Haar Like Feature (HLF). Those first three methods often used to detect moving object, while HLF mostly used to detect human’s face. This research aimed to examine the use of HLF method to detect floating objects in Martapura river by using smartphone’s camera with the specification of 16Megapixel and 1080p resolution. The data collected with random sampling technique in two different spots in Banjarmasin at different times. Images and videos then examined using HLF method. The result shows that HLF method by using smartphone camera cannot be used to identify any floating objec
