This study aims to analyze self-actualization and educational values contained in Sintha Rosse's Dendam si Yatim Piatu novel based on Abraham Maslow's humanistic psychology. The research method used was descriptive qualitative method and content analysis technique. The results showed: 1) Self-actualization was found to be more dominant in this novel as much as 65.08% while the value of education was 34.91%. The 14 characters who show self-actualization are found all in this novel. The most dominant self-actualization is focusing on achievement targets (13.52%), the second most is social awareness (13.09%), independence (9.23%), spontaneity, simplicity, and fairness (9.01%). rewards that are always new (8.80%), interpersonal relationships (8.80%), creativity (6.87%), democratic (6.01%), self-acceptance (5.79%), independence (5.58 %), peak experience (4.29%), observing reality efficiently (3.43%), a meaningful sense of humor (3.00%), and the need for privacy (2.58%). 2) The dominant educational value is the value of moral education (37.20%), followed by the value of social education (29.60%), the value of divine education (24.40%), the value of cultural education (5.60%), and the value of aesthetic education (3.20%). Through this novel, the author provides an example through self-actualization of the main character, maximizing all efforts, developing talents, potential, never giving up in achieving goals and achieving the desired success so that life becomes more meaningful. In addition, the author also conveys good values so that readers can wisely take lessons from them which are expected to be applied in everyday life.

The problems raised in this study are related to the analysis of educational values ​​in the novel Cahaya di Atas Cahaya by Oki Setiana Dewi. The educational aspects studied include aesthetic (beauty), moral, religious and social aspects. The purpose of this research is to describe the value of education in the novel Cahaya di Atas Cahaya by Oki Setiana Dewi and to find out the dominant value and its relevance in the reader's life. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. The results of data analysis that have been carried out on the novel Cahaya di Atas Cahaya by Oki Setiana Dewi which is studied from its educational values, both aesthetics (beauty), moral, religious and social, strongly indicate the existence of educational values ​​that are beneficial to readers and connoisseurs of literature in particular. novelist. The value of education in the aesthetic education aspect tells about the beauties of real work as reality based on God's truth. The value of education, especially moral education, such as being devoted to parents, positive thinking in all things faced, not being arrogant and selfish, and always being able to care for others and not being arrogant towards something you have and being able to control yourself in any situation. Educational values ​​in the aspect of social education include always thinking positively towards others, needing each other, knowing hostility, having courtesy, always forgiving others mistakes, and being able to understand differences in beliefs. The value of religious education is such as the attitude of always being patient in dealing with endless problems, having good morals and ethics.

The novel Anak Rantau by Ahmad Fuadi was chosen as the object of research because of the many aspects of self-actualization that are raised in the story, especially regarding the main character's struggles in facing the realities of life and its twists.. The purpose of this research was to describe and explain the process and characteristics of the main character's self-actualization in the novel Anak Rantau by Ahmad Fuadi. This study used a literary psychology approach. The psychological theory used was Abraham Maslow's self-actualization. Hepi started the process of self-actualization since he was abandoned in Tanjung Duren village by his father. Hepi fulfilled 14 traits of self-actualization. The nature of self-actualization that he has was 1) efficient observation of reality; 2) self-acceptance and others as they are; 3) spontaneity, simplicity, and reasonableness; 4) focus on the problem; 5) the need for privacy; 6) function autonomously; 7) appreciation that is always fresh; 8) social awareness/interest; 9) interpersonal relationships; 10) democratic; 11) differences between means and objectives; 12) creativity; 13) independence, and 14) peak experience.

This article aims to analyze the main character in the novel Tiba Sebelum Berangkat by Faisal Oddang using the humanistic psychology approach of Abraham Maslow. The method used in this research was descriptive qualitative research method. The data source used was Tiba Sebelum Berangkat novel by Faisal Oddang. The data analysis technique in this study used the content analysis. The results of this study indicated that the main character in the novel Tiba Sebelum Berangkat by Faisal Oddang had and performed actions that can be analyzed by using Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of needs. This was shown by the content of the novel which presented about conflicts around human life; beliefs, religions, gender and love. Tiba Sebelum Berangkat novel tried to reflect on what might actually happen in people's real life in South Sulawesi. Based on the novel content, the main character built in the novel performed certain actions in obtaining multilevel needs that must be fulfilled as human beings. Tiba Sebelum Berangkat novel showed how humans obtained multilevel needs that must be fulfilled until human self-actualization was achieved.

This study aims to find the values of moral education (ahklaq) and describe the characteristics of the characters who appear in the Hafalan Shalat Delisa novel and its relevance in the current era of globalization. It is a library research, whereas the data collection uses documentary method, data analysis uses content analysis. The results obtained from this study are: (1) moral values education contained in the novel include the educational value towards: a) God (prayer, dhikr, and pray to Allah, upright accept acts of God, fear of God’s torture, and fear of losing the God’s grace), b) family (mutual respect, devotion, love and care for his family), c) self or ahklaq Mahmudah namely: (impatient, upright, gratitude, optimism, mutual help, hard work, and discipline) and ahklaq madzmumah (ignorant, stubborn, lying and jealousy) d) family (conjugal affection rights, the rights of the husband and wife together, birul walidain) e) environment (nurture and care all created by Allah SWT well). (2) Characteristics of the existing characters in the novel such as Delisa, the errant six years old girl who has different characteristics with children in her age in the case of curiosity, the character Ummi Salamah is a wife as well as good mother (shalihah) who possess high discipline in educating her children. (3) The relevance of educational values in globalization era is the importance of moral education. Through the character education curriculum as well as moral education as early as possible either at home, school, environment, and society to overcome moral decadence.

This study aims to gain an in-depth understanding of educational values in the novel Madogiwa No Totto-chan by Tetsuko Kuroyanagi with a qualitative approach that includes educational values in terms of the structure of the novel. Research methods. This research is a library research or library research that uses a qualitative approach with content analysis techniques. Conclusion of research findings: The main theme of this novel is EDUCATION, education that frees students to be creative, while the sub-theme is education must be adjusted to the development of the child's personality. The credentials found are: A mother must be wise in educating and caring for her children with special needs. A school principal or a teacher should be a leader who is brave to act in accordance with their respective beliefs and life principles. The educational values in this novel can be used as examples of learning in schools to help children with problems (special needs). An educator should be fun and not scold his students because educating children is not with anger but with advice, praise, and trust. Make kids confident, responsible, love each other, and help each other, introduce them to nature because nature stores various sources of knowledge. Educational values found are educational values related to religious education values, moral education values, social education values, and beauty education values. Recommendation: Madogiwa No Totto-chan's autobiographical novel (Totto-chan Little Girl in the Window) can be used as a learning tool for character education in schools in Indonesia because this Japanese novel has raised educational values that contain a number of noble values. One of the noble values is the value of education in the novel that abstracts the reality of Japanese society's life. Character education is closely related to moral education, which is to shape and train individual abilities continuously for self-improvement towards a better life. Novel is a literary work that can convey the values of character education. The research aims to analyzing the values of character education in the novel 5 cm by Donny dhirgantoro. This research is a qualitative study using a descriptive design method. the data analysis technique by reading the entire data, analyzing the data in more detail and restating the data by described and interpreting the data. The result of this study are the value of character education  contained in the novel “ 5 cm” by Donny Dhirgantoro, namely, religious, hard work, love to read, friendly and communicative, social care,  and love  the homeland.

This research focused on the types of social values reflected in Ananta Toer’s novel entitled Bumi Manusia. This novel successfully describes not only the cultural revolution in a colonized country but also an objection against the absolute supremacy of cultural and social values. The research was aimed at revealing the kinds of social values in the novel. The data were in the forms of sentences, paragraphs and dialogues referring to social values such as positive and negative social values. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method with content analysis technique that is by analyzing the letters, words, sentences and verses that can explain some social values in this novel. Based on the research finding and discussion, as well as the theory of social values proposed by Notonegoro (2014), the social values are divided into Value of truth, Aesthetic value, Moral value and Religious value. The results show that there are four types of social value in the novel, i.e. Value of truth (Justice), Aesthetic value (love), Moral value (encouraging kinship and politeness) and Religious value (patience and faith).

The purpose of this study is to describe the quality of the language available in the novel teenager "D'Angel Princess" by Luna Torashyngu. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. Data in this study Various styles on the novel teenagers "D'Angel Princess" by Luna Torashyngu. Documentation technique is used in the data collection technigue. Data analysis technique in this research is done through steps, that is: (1) reading novelteenlit "Angel Angel" by Luna Torashyngu (2) hiding data, (3) classifying data, (4) analyzing data, and (5) conclude. Test the validity of the data is a credibility test conducted by increasing persistence with the supervisor during the process, and discussion with colleagues. The results found in the novel D'Angel Princess by Luna Torashyngu in slang and not used to separate the characteristics of the teen novel. Then the word denotation and author connotation to express and convince the compiler readers convey narration and description in the story, said Science used as a means to monetize a novel theme with a scientific theme, the words used to sort out teenage characters who look slang. The use of sentences is used to describe the main character in the sentence Usage. The author's written sentence contains descriptions and narrations to make the story more interesting and easy to understand. Comment topic sentence  gives a beautiful impression or a beautiful comment on the characters. Use of minor sentences is used  to give challenge and sincerity to what people say so that readers feel confidence. The purpose of this study is to find out the role of religion in Siddhartha’s self-actualization process in Hesse’s Siddhartha. The analysis applies Rogers’ humanistic psychology focusing on self-actualization. The method used was qualitative with content analysis. The data were taken from the texts contained in the novel. Data analysis used triangulation techniques. The results showed that Buddhism and Hinduism had taught various things through religious activities conducted by Siddhartha to find out his actualization.

Abstract:This paper discusses the educational values of Kaizen culture in Japan. The research used to pose a main question of what educational values Kaizen management and culture has in common, based on the theory proposed by Richard T Kinner, Jerry L. Kernes, and Therese M. Dautheribes which declares that universality and education can coexist within the human community because there is a universal moral education written on the human heart. Since this is a library research and that of observational field of studies with qualitative data the researchers analyzed the research observation results conducted in Toyota, Tokyo, Nagoya, Kyoto, and Osaka as the primary sources of this study by using keywords of Kaizen values, Total Management Quality (TQM), and Kaizen Management Quality (KMQ) then the researchers analyzed and described the information about the educational values found in those primary sources. The results indicated that the universal and educational significant values which Kaizen has in general are discipline, good order (organization), honesty, trust, communication, peaceful life and nonviolent value, neatness, equanimity, and habit formation. Those kind of values will result in benevolence and compassion. In the end, Despite the fact that Kaizen seems to be related to the total quality management studies, this research paves the way to learn more about the importance of moral education in raising one's values via the examples rendered by Kaizen of Japan.Abstrak:Artikel ini membahas tentang nilai-nilai pendidikan budaya Kaizen di Jepang. Penelitian ini digunakan untuk mengajukan pertanyaan utama tentang apa kesamaan nilai-nilai pendidikan manajemen dan budaya Kaizen, berdasarkan teori yang dikemukakan oleh Richard T Kinner, Jerry L. Kernes, dan Therese M. Dautheribes yang menyatakan bahwa universalitas dan pendidikan dapat hidup berdampingan dalam komunitas manusia karena ada pendidikan moral universal yang tertulis di hati manusia. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Pustaka kualitatif dengan menggunakan hasil observasi penelitian yang dilaksanakan di kota Toyota, Nagoya, Kyoto dan Osaka sebagai sumber utama data penelitian dengan menggunakan kata kunci: nilai-nilai Kaizen, Kualitas Manajemen Total, dan Kualitas Manajemen Kaizen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai penting universal dan pendidikan yang dimiliki Kaizen secara umum adalah disiplin, ketertiban (organisasi), kejujuran, kepercayaan, komunikasi, kehidupan damai dan nilai non-kekerasan, kerapian, keseimbangan batin, dan pembentukan kebiasaan. Nilai-nilai semacam itu akan menghasilkan kebajikan dan kasih sayang. Pada akhirnya, Terlepas dari kenyataan bahwa Kaizen tampaknya terkait dengan studi manajemen kualitas total, penelitian ini membuka jalan untuk mempelajari lebih lanjut tentang pentingnya pendidikan moral dalam meningkatkan nilai-nilai seseorang melalui contoh-contoh yang diberikan oleh Kaizen dari Jepang.
