One of the most important and socially significant tasks of the state is the legal and social support of persons released from institutions of confinement. These persons need the help of specialists in various fields, including social ones. Each of them has lost socially significant connections, has chronic diseases, psychological barriers, etc. In this regard, specialists in the social sphere need to organize a comprehensive work on adaptation in society of this category of citizens. Of all the problems faced by former convicts, the most significant is the problem associated with their employment after release. This category of citizens is not prepared to start working in an open society, and the majority of them have no motivation for finding employment. The purpose of this study is to theoretically substantiate and develop the technology of social work for the formation of readiness for employment of persons released from prison. The paper presents the results of ascertaining experiment at the initial stage of experimental work. The respondents were unemployed citizens with a criminal record. The study involved 10 male respondents aged 35 to 55 years. In the course of the research, the technology of social work was theoretically justified and developed to form the readiness for employment of persons released from prison. The technology is represented by substantive and procedural components and involves the gradual formation of readiness for employment of persons released from prison. Tasks, content and methods are defined for each stage. Solving the tasks of the previous stage creates conditions for the possibility of moving to a new stage.

The article deals with basing of the necessity of social work with internally displaced persons (IDPs) in modern Ukraine, as not all of the problems of these people that have arisen as a result of forced resettlement have been resolved. The problem is in difference of the life trajectories of IDPs: some of migrants are in higher levels of income in the social hierarchy than residents of host communities, while others still live in collective housing in need of humanitarian assistance. Social differentiation within IDPs raises debates about the need to maintain common approaches to their social protection and social work with them. The purpose of this article is to prove the presence of signs of vulnerability in internally displaced persons, which necessitates the provision of social support by specialists working in the field of social work. To achieve this goal, the method of theoretical generalization and the method of deduction were used. The results of the study are the identification of such features of the social position of IDPs in Ukraine and features of their socio-psychological state, which evidence the presence of indicators of vulnerability, and therefore are the reason of social work with them in different areas. The presence of dual vulnerabilities in IDPs (the status of an orphan or a child deprived of parental care, a child or a person with a disability, a member of a family with many children, etc.) increases the need for social support from social services professionals.

Nowadays, in this dynamic world, the need for help and support is increasingly highlighted. This is where the role of social work intervenes. Its task is to enhance the personal and social functionality of the people so as to cope with all kinds of everyday problems and hardship they encounter and to highlight the opportunities for realization and socialization in the society. The goal of social work is to reduce the number of people who suffer and need help, thus lessen the disbelief in coping with problems and highlighting the hope for the best. Such people can be children, adolescents, young people, adults and people with special needs.Sometimes in the family environment or in the wide circle of acquaintances, people fail to overcome the difficulties, and then a consultation with a specialist from the social sphere should be made. This need confirms once again that social-pedagogical intervention is not lacking, contributing to adequate and professional work to help address problems and deficits. For this type of realization, graduates of this major must have dedication and humanity to their work with people and their problems. They also need to know well the relevant risks in each occupation.Still, there is hardly any other profession that is so varied and versatile. This profession has many benefits as well as risks. The work of the Bulgarian social worker is the lowest paid among the helping professions and yet the one with highest efficiency and effectiveness expected. People working in the social sphere - the social workers, perform a wide range of functions and responsibilities in accordance to the nature of the assistance they have to provide.

The article analyzes the impact of the transformation of professional activities of specialists working in the social sphere on the new approaches development to providing their continuous education. It is proved that continuous education is a professional improvement that is realized through specialists’ acquiring relevant competencies in the process of their development. It has been emphasized that there is a need for sociological support for the specialists' continuous education working in the social sphere, which includes the formation of competencies that develop a sociological imagination, the ability to construct social problems and ways to solve them in the field of social work. It has been found that sociological imagination plays a dual role in the practice of social work: on the one hand, it enables specialists to adequately perceive their professional role, to make aware of their functions following the new social reality, and on the other – to take into account the status features of different recipients of social services in an unstable social environment. The conceptual model of specialists' professional skill development working in the social sphere in the context of continuing education has been proposed. It considers the specific features of providing social and rehabilitation services in the conditions of decentralization of the social service system, and workers' training rendering social and rehabilitation services according to various programs, taking into account the peculiarities of social agencies and institutions. The paper presents the subject matter of classes contained in a curriculum developed by the authors’ educational program for conducting professional skill development courses for employees of territorial social service centres (provision of social services) and geriatric boarding houses in the Kharkiv region. The interconnection between the specialists' professional skills development working in the social sphere and the development of normative and legal, social, methodological, management, communicative and empathetic, conflictology and ethical competencies has been substantiated following the provisions of sociological imagination put forward by P. Sztompka.

The conceptual development of a model for the practical training of future professionals in the social sphere at the university is substantiated. It is noted that the core of the social sphere is social work as an active tool of the state’s social policy in working with various categories of the population. In the course of the study, block-structural model of the practical training of future professionals in the social sphere at the university is developed, including the following blocks: productive-purposeful, conceptual, software-technological, evaluative-reflective. The productive-purposeful block is associated with competence indicators, determined by the main indicators of professional knowledge, skills and abilities, the requirements for professionals in solving social problems and the goals of theoretical and practical training of future specialists in the social sphere, in accordance with professional standards. The conceptual block of the model includes re-search approaches (competence-based, androgogical, socio-cultural) and their corresponding prin-ciples. The software-technological block contains programs for organizing the passage and train-ing work with students and representatives of social organizations – bases of educational, research and industrial practices, a program for monitoring student practice and individual support. The evaluative-reflective block of the model assumes an awareness of how students achieve their learning goals in practical training is of paramount importance, this is important for understanding their professional role in the practice of social work. Practical training at a university is an integral part of the social education curriculum, taking into account the essence of helping professions and the specifics of the social sphere. The results of the interviewing, the included observation show the relationship between changes in practical training programs and the positive dynamics of the quality of practical training of students, an increase in the parameters of personal, social and tech-nological competencies among students of the “Social Work” Programme.
