This paper is a descriptive exploration of selected titles of Zambianlanguage literary works that contain in them didactic aspects, that is, forms of general advisory statements and proverbs/sayings as actual titles of the particular books. It demonstrates that the use of proverbial titles makes these works of fiction more concerned with didacticism rather than entertainment. This moralistic disposition which apparently seems to be a trademark of many authors in Zambian languages is a manifestation of the influence of traditional African orature in general and Zambian oral cultures in particular which places emphasis on the teaching of moral values in storytelling. This paper is guided by two literary theoretical approaches namely: the sociological approach which posits that literature should act as a mirror of society as well as to provide solutions for the society; and the ethical approach especially the idea that art should be morally sound.

Equality of men is a great issue to maintain every country all the time. Indonesia is one of them which should struggle to maintain it so far. Fictional work is one of the aesthetical means to support it. The way of struggle can be memorized through the time of independence era in fictional works of Balai Poestaka publisher. Javanese language novels, Ngulandara and Kirti NdjoendjoengDradjat are two literary works published by BalaiPoestaka that were written in the dominance times of Balai Poestaka activities as commission for people’s reading in Dutch colonial era in Indonesia (Dutch Indies). Kepriyayian (nobility) was the theme of Ngulandara (1936) and Kirti NdjoendjoengDradjat(1924) novels. As seen from propaganda point of view, ideologically the portrayal of priyayi (nobleman) was analogy symbol of Dutch colonial government that ruled social system. Ngulandara and Kirti Njunjung Drajat showed a “struggle” through literary works as portrayed in wong cilik (Javanese: lower class people) who struggled against the existence of the authorities. The struggle emerged in the way of wong cilik behaved intellectually, morally, even mannerly better than the nobles (priyayi). This research used the theory of literature and propaganda using a sociological approach. Those oppositional relationships between deconstruction nobles and the raise of wong cilik in the field of intellectual, moral, and manner show the propaganda of equality of men through the voice of Jasawidagdo and Margana Djajaatmadja.Kesetaraan manusia merupakan isu besar yang harus selalu dijaga di setiap negara. Indonesia adalah salah satu negara yang harus tetap berjuang menjaga isu tersebut. Karya fiksi berfungsi sebagai salah satu peranti estetis untuk mendukung isu tersebut. Cara memperjuangkan isu tersebut ialah dengan mengingat kembali masa kemerdekaan melalui penerbit Balai Poestaka. Novel-novel berbahasa Jawa, Ngulandara dan Kirti Ndjoendjoeng Dradjat ialah dua karya sastra yang diterbitkan oleh Balai Poestaka yang ditulis pada waktu dominasi Balai Poestaka sebagai komisi bacaan rakyat di era kolonial Belanda di Indonesia (Hindia Belanda). Kepriyayian merupakan tema novel Ngulandara (1936) dan Kirti Njoendjoeng Dradjat (1924). Dilihat dari sudut pandang propaganda, penggambaran priyayi merupakan analogi simbol pemerintah kolonial Belanda yang berkuasa mengatur sistem sosial kemasyarakatan. Ngulandara dan Kirti Ndjoendjoeng Dradjat menunjukkan sebuah “perjuangan” melalui karya sastra seperti digambarkan melalui wong cilik yang berjuang melawan kemapanan penguasa. Perjuangan tersebut muncul dengan cara wong cilik tersebut bertindak secara intelektual, bermoral, bahkan bersikap lebih terhormat daripada para priyayi. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori sastra dan propaganda dengan pendekatan sosiologi. Relasi oposisional antara dekonstruksi priyayi dan bangkitnya wong cilik dalam ranah intelektual, moral, dan sikap menunjukkan propaganda kesetaraan manusia melalui suara Jasawidagdo dan Margana Djajaatmadja.

Literary works in this era of progress have been very developed. The creation of literary works is usually influenced by the literary works that preceded it. The literary work that precedes is used as an example or role model for later literary works. Two or more literary works with the same theme have similarities and differences. Similarities and differences in several literary works can be analyzed using the principle of intertextuality. This principle is intended to examine texts that are considered to have a certain relationship with other texts so that it is possible for a work to become a hypogram for subsequent literary works. In this study the author chose the title " Intertextual Study of the Novel Cinta Bertabur Di Langit Mekkah by Roidah and Novel Asmara Di Atas Haram  by Zulkifli L. Muchdi with a Sociological Approach ". Based on the object studied, this study aims to describe: (1) the structure of Roidah's novel Cinta Bertabur Di Langit Mekkah (CBM) and novel Asmara Di Atas Haram (ADH) by Zulkifli L. Muchdi, (2) similarities and differences in the novel Cinta Bertabur Di Langit Mekkah (CBM) by Roidah and novel Asmara Di Atas Haram (ADH) by Zulkifli L. Muchdi, (3) Intertextual relations between Roidah's novel Cinta Bertabur Di Langit Mekkah (CBM) and Zulkifli L. Muchdi's novel Asmara Di Atas Haram (ADH, and (4) sociological aspects of novel Cinta Bertabur Di Langit Mekkah (CBM) by Roidah and novel Asmara Di Atas Haram  (ADH) by Zulkifli L. Muchdi. The method used is descriptive analysis method. The results obtained in the research are intrinsic elements of the novel, similarities and differences between the two novels, intertextual relations and sociological aspects which include social aspects, religious aspects, economic aspects, and love aspects.

This research aims at investigating the main character's disobedience toward Sati tradition in Around the World in 80 Days: a Sociological Approach. The research method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative method so the researcher analyzes the data in this research through description. There are two main results of this research. First, the main character’s disobedience toward Sati tradition are (1) the main character’s disobedience in India Forest (being displeased with government authority, hope of reform); (2) the main character’s disobedience in Calcutta (law enforcement); (3) the main character’s disobedience in United States of America (injustice occur). Second, the moral values can be taken from the novel are divided into positive and negative values.

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui makna yang terkandung dalam buku Kumpulan Legenda Daerah di Provinsi Lampung karya Achmad. D. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif, yaitu legenda yang dijadikan sebagai objek penelitian dianalisis dan diinterprestasikan. Langkah awal yang penulis lakukan adalah menganalisis unsur intrinsik legenda meliputi tema, penokohan, dan latar, selanjutnya menganalisis kajian hermeneutik yang difokuskan pada pemahaman teks dan simbol. kajian hermeneutik yang dapat direlevansikan yaitu dari pemahaman teks seperti nama Lampung. Hal ini dapat mengetahui asal usul daerah Lampung dan seluk beluknya. Menurut kajian hermeneutik, yang dapat direlevansikan yaitu dari simbolnya adalah Raja. Simbol raja mempunyai makna pemimpin pada sebuah daerah pada zaman lampau yang didapat dari garis keturunan. Dalam hal ini, dapat diterapkan jiwa kepemimpinan yang baik, bijkasana, adil, pandai, dan tanggung jawab melalui simbol raja dalam legenda yang dikaji dengan ilmu hermeneutik. Kajian hermeneutik melalui karya sastra jenis legenda merupakan langkah awal untuk melakukan pendidikan tentang tata cara penganalisisan suatu karya sastra yang baik dan bermutu. Dalam hal melakukan pembelajaran sastra, dituntut untuk melakukan kegiatan-kegiatan menggali unsur-unsur pembangun karya sastra tersebut baik yang bersifat intrinsik maupun ekstrinsik. Serta dapat diarahkan cara mengkaji sebuah legenda dengan pendekatan hermeneutik melalui pemahaman teks dan simbol. Dari hasil kajian hermeneutik tersebut yang meliputi pemahaman teks dan simbol terdapat nilai-nilai moral, pandangan hidup, agama, dan kebudayaan.Kata Kunci: legenda, hermeneutik, pemahaman teks dan symbol Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine the meaning contained in the book Collection of Local Legends in Lampung Province by Achmad. D. The method used is descriptive method, which is a legend that is used as an object of research analyzed and interpreted. The first step that the authors do is analyze the intrinsic elements of the legend including themes, characterizations, and settings, then analyze the hermeneutic study which is focused on understanding texts and symbols. hermeneutic studies that can be relevant are from understanding texts such as the name Lampung. It can find out the origin of the Lampung region and its ins and outs. According to a hermeneutic study, one that can be evaluated is that of the symbol is the King. The symbol of the king has the meaning of a leader in an area of the past that is obtained from the lineage. In this case, a good, wise, fair, clever, and responsible leadership spirit can be applied through the symbol of the king in legends which are studied with hermeneutic science. Hermeneutic study through literary works of legend is the first sitep to conduct education about the procedures for analyzing a good and quality literary work. In terms of learning literature, it is demanded to carry out activities to explore the building elements of the literary work both intrinsic and extrinsic. And can be directed how to study a legend with a hermeneutic approach through understanding texts and symbols. From the results of the hermeneutic study which includes understanding texts and symbols, there are moral values, outlook on life, religion, and culture.Keywords: legend, hermeneutics, understanding of texts and symbols

ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui Stereotip yang melekat pada kehidupan waria dalam novel Rumah Ilalang karya Stebby Julionatan. Stereotip yang dimaksud adalah gambaran atau cerminan kehidupan waria yang terjadi pada lingkungan masyarakat dalam karya sastra. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif-kualitatif dengan pendekatan Sosiologi Sastra. Sumber penelitian ini berasal dari novel Rumah Ilalang karya Stebby Julionatan. Data penelitian ini berupa kutipan, kalimat, dan paragraf yang berupa gambaran atau cerminan kehidupan waria. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode membaca Novel dan mengidentifikasikan konteks permasalahan yang akan diteliti. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model Miles dan Humberman melalui langkah-langkah (1) penyeleksian data, (2) pemaparan data, dan (3) penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil memperlihatkan waria direpresentasikan dalam tiga aspek, yaitu (1) tidak beragama, (2) tidak memiliki pekerjaan yang tetap, (3) tidak diterima dengan baik oleh masyarakat.KATA KUNCI: novel rumah ilalang; stereotip; waria STEREOTYPES OF TRANSVESTITE LIFE IN RUMAH ILALANG BY STEBBY JULIONATAN ABSTRACT: This study aims to determine the stereotypes inherent in transvestite life in the Rumah Ilalang by Stebby Julionatan. This stereotype is a picture or reflection of transvestite life that occurs in the community environment in literary works in the form of novels. This type of research is descriptive-qualitative research with a sociological approach to literature. The source of this research is Rumah Ilalang by Stebby Julionatan. This research datas are the form of quotes, sentences, and paragraphs in the form of a picture or reflection of the life of transvestites. Data collection techniques are done by reading novels and identifying the context of the problem to be studied. The data analysis technique used in this study is the data analysis design presented by Miles and Humberman through the steps (1) selecting data, (2) disclosing data, and (3) drawing conclusions. The result show transgenders were represented in three aspects, namely (1) not having religion, (2) not having a permanent job, (3) not being well received by the community.KEYWORDS: rumah ilalang novels; stereotypes; transvestite

Հոդվածում ներկայացվում է ժողովրդական բանահյուսության և գրական - գեղարվեստական երկերի միջև եղած սերտ կապը: Գրականության դասերին ուսուցիչ-աշակերտ համատեղ աշխատանքի արդյունքում տրվում է «Սասունցի Դավիթ» էպոսի և Խաչատուր Աբովյանի «Վերք Հայաստանի» վեպի հայրենասեր կերպարների համեմատական բնութագիրը, նրանց բարոյական արժեհամակարգի նկարագրությունը: Առանձնակի նշվում է «Վերք Հայաստանի» վեպի՝ ժողովրդական վեպին հատուկ ոճական հնարքները, խորիմաստ առակ-ասացվածքների տեղին օգտագործումը: Այդ ամենը բանահյուսության ժողովրդական կենսունակ արմատների շնորհիվ է, որ հարուստ նյութ է մատակարարել գրական երկերին: Միայն բանահյուսության առասպելահեթանոսական շրջանի իմաստնությամբ կարելի է հասնել գրական գեղարվեստական երկերի վառ հայրենասիրության ակունքներին, ըմբռնել ժողովրդի պատմությունն ու գեղարվեստական գրականությունը: Վերոբերյալը ամրապնդելու համար առաջարկվում են նաև դասը աշխուժացնող խաղ-առաջադրանքների ստեղծում և անցկացում: / The article represents close connection between folklore and fiction. During literature classes the joint work of teacher and pupils results in forming the comparative description of patriotic characters in the epos ―David of Sassoun‖ and the novel ―Wounds of Armenia‖ by Khachatur Abovyan, as well as in describing the system of their moral values. The article makes a special emphasis on use of special stylistic devices in the novel ―Wounds of Armenia‖, which are characteristic of a folk novel. Appropriate use of profound proverbs and sayings in the novel is also stressed. All this is due to viable roots of folklore, representing rich basis for literary works. Only study of the legend and pagan period of folklore can lead to the brilliant patriotic sources of literary works and to perception of the nation history and fiction. For stating the above-mentioned, it is proposed to create and implement game tasks, promoting the lesson.

Abstract  : This research is motivated by the consideration that the novel Lontara Rindu by S. Gegge Mappangewa is very thick in presenting social realities that exist in society . The problem in this research is how is the social reality in the novel Lontara Rindu by S. Gegge Mappangewa ?. This study aims to describe the social reality contained in the novel Lontara Rindu by S. Gegge Mappangewa. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. This research is a type of library research. The data in this study are written data in the form of novel texts which cover the social reality in the novel. the source of this research data is the Lontara Rindu novel by S. Gegge Mappangewa published by Republika, south Jakarta, the first printing in 2012 and consists of 343 pages. Data collection techniques used note-taking techniques. The data in this study were analyzed using the sociological approach to literary works. Based on the research results , it can be concluded that the social reality in the novel Lontara Rindu by S. Gegge Mappangewa . Consisting of three realitas social is the social reality of the culture,  realitas social education, and realitas social about religion. Social reality about culture, including beliefs, habits, cultural customs, and customary law. The paper compares Pierre Bourdieu?s sociological approach with the one developed by Peter Berger and Thomas Luckmann. The aim of the paper is to identify the complementarities and incongruences of these approaches. The main similarity consists in the intention to ?dialectically? overcome/bridge the gap between ?objectivism? and ?subjectivism? in social theory. Another parallel includes a negative attitude towards the relativistic tendencies of postmodernism. These authors share the thematization of: the body as a locus of social influences, the centrality of language in social life, the social functions of knowledge, and the importance of power in social relations. Differences in theorizing are attributed to the different intellectual, theoretical, and socio-cultural contexts in which these scientists operated. The divergences of these theoretical approaches become evident when one examines the different meaning and significance attached to the concepts of individuation, structure, action, habitus and habitualization, structure of relevance and relation of common-sense and scientific knowledge. Finally, there is a visible difference in political views: Bourdieu was a critic ?from the left,? while Berger and Luckmann were self-proclaimed liberal conservatives.

This research was conducted to find out how other understanding arrangements that are contrary to Pancasila in Law No. 16 of 2017; and What are the criteria or objective measures of an understanding that are considered contrary to the Pancasila and which institution is competent in evaluating an understanding that is considered to be in conflict with the Pancasila. To be able to find an objective measure of  “understanding that is contrary to Pancasila”, several approaches can be used namely, first the Philosophical approach, which focuses on theoretical deepening of the rule of law with the core of the study explaining that an Act must emerge with the principle of concrete rules and is easily understood generally. Secondly, the Juridical approach which explains that the mention of the two last additional elements in the explanation of Article 59 paragraph 4 letter c of Law No. 16 of 2017. And third, a sociological approach that explains that to be able to find an objective measurement mechanism for "understanding contrary to Pancasila". In the provisions of the prohibition of Community Organizations contained in Article 59 of Law No. 16 of 2017 specifically related to "Understanding that is contrary to Pancasila", is very laden with nuances of social and moral values, therefore to be able to measure actions or understandings that are considered to be in conflict with it must be submitted to the judiciary in evaluating it.
