This study aims to describe the role of MATHLAB software in numerical method lectures, improve students' ability to solve numerical problems through learning assisted by MATHLAB software, improve students' abilities in formulating algorithms through learning assisted by MATHLAB software, improve students' abilities in programming through assisted learning MATLAB software; and describing student responses after numerical learning assisted by MATLAB software. This research is a quantitative research. To prove the hypothesis and answer the problems in this study, several statistical tests were carried out as follows:1. Test the description of the data, namely: making a data frequency table, testing the average value, and standard deviation.2. Prerequisite test, namely: normality test with Liliefors table and homogeneity test.3. Hypothesis testing, namely: statistical tests to see how much improvement in student competence is using the MATLAB software application in the numerical method course. The tests used are regression and correlation tests to see the increase in student competence using the MATLAB software application. The research method used is experimental. The population of this research is UMSU 7th semester students in the 2019/2020 academic year as many as 98 students.

The aim of this research was to find out the strategies used by the English Education Study Program students in responding teacher oral questions. The research was designed as a descriptive quantitative research. The population of the research was sixth semester students of English Education Study Program of Universitas Bengkulu in the 2017/2018 academic year. The samples were 69 students. The data were collected by using a set of questionnaire. There were 25 statements of responses strategies which consisted of seven categories of response strategies proposed by Lui et. al (2018) and any communication strategies proposed by Dornyei (1997). They were avoidance strategy, accommodative strategy, asking for clarification strategy, no response strategy, excuse strategy, denial strategy and apology strategy. The result of this study showed that students of English Education Study Program preferred to use six categories i.e., accommodative strategy, asking for clarification strategy, no response strategy, excuse strategy, and denial strategy and one was seldom used namely apology strategy. In addition, the most frequently used strategy group by the students was avoidance strategy.

This research aimed to determine the effect of physical fitness though Muhammadiyah gymnastics on nursing student of SMK Nurul Fajar, Bogor district, 2019/2020 academic year in the form of quantitative research with experimental methods and sampling was carried out using purposive sampling technique, amounting, to 4 people from 22 populations. This research was conducted by measuring physical fitness through TKJI before and after being given Muhammadiyah fitness treatment. This research method uses the normality test with pretest results known as asymp.sig = 0.995 with normal information and posttest results known asymp.sig = 0.846 and information, normal, from the T test results with the calculation obtained 0.495. This result is greater than 0.05, this result indicates that the hypothesis Ha is rejected, which means that Ho = there is no significant effect of Muhammadiyah fitness training Homogeneity test using SPSS 21, the results of the study using muhammmadiyah fitness exercises have an effect which is in the "moderate" category but not significant in class XII nursing students of SMK Nurul Fajar, Bogor Regency.

This study investigated the use of a free GeoGebra application, where the ability of a GeoGebra software application had the potential to simplify and help the teaching and learning process in the informatics management study program, Medan State Polytechnic. The focus of this research was the incorporation of conventional method-based teaching, namely using the assistance of writing instruments such as pencils, pens, and paper when describing the Venn diagram in mathematical logic courses with the help of the GeoGebra application which made it easier for students to drew circles and determine the slices and combinations on the Venn diagram. The resulted of this study were obtained from the scores of student assignments and the results of interviews conducted online with the number of respondents consisting of 44 students who successfully uploaded assignments through the SIPADI application. The value analysis obtained was compiled into tables then processed using the SPSS application using the pair test and linearity test. Based on the output obtained, it was known that the GeoGebra value obtained the average value of learning outcomes or the mean of 75.9773, while for the average learning outcomes using conventional methods or the mean of 68.9091. The number of respondents or students who took the test amounted to 44 people, Std. Deviation for GeoGebra method was 5.800092 and conventional method was 5.56909, and Std. Error Means. Based on the results of descriptive statistical tests, the average value of the GeoGebra method > conventional method was 75.9773> 68.9091, so descriptively there was an average difference between the GeoGebra method and the conventional method.

The objectives of this research are: 1) To find out the undergraduate students’ Difficulties In Writing Thesis at The English Study Program of Muhammadiyah University Bengkulu (UMB) in Academic Year 2018-2019, and 2) To find out the most difficult variable they faced in writing theses. The design of this research is descriptive quantitative research. 74 students of the Seventh Semester Students of English Education Study Program of Muhammadiyah University of Bengkulu in the Academic Year of 2018-2019 took part in this study. The instruments were questionnaires and interview. The data were collected by assigning the students to fill out the questionnaires and being interviewed afterward. The data were analyzed by checking the students’ answer in the questionnaire, classifying the students’ answers, calculating the students’ scores of difficulties in writing a thesis, describing the data and concluding the results. The results  showed the students' difficulties in writing a thesis; a) Orderly, the students' difficulties in writing a thesis are: related to difficulties of students' English proficiencies; related to difficulties of students' time management; related to difficulties of students' research methodology; related to difficulties of students' attitude; related to difficulties of students' research topic; and the least related to difficulties of a co-advisor relationship, students' plagiarism, students' personalities, the big number of supervised students and advisor workload; and difficulties of students motivation. b) The most difficulties in writing thesis are related to their English proficiency which are still low and limited. Both have become the first cause that they cannot develop their writing thesis well.  The implication of this study ; 1) the students should minimize their difficulties and find the solution in the way of  a) Improve their English, or at least have adequate English before writing a thesis. b) Should manage their time wisely in doing their thesis. c) Read more relevant sources that can support their research. d) Give more attention to avoid plagiarism. 2) Further researchers are suggested to do similar research and add more data with adding research instruments, such as interview guides.

<p><em>This study aims to improve the basic skills of teaching sixth semester students of the Hindu Education Study Program STKIP Agama Hindu Amlapura 2016/2017 academic year through the application of peer teaching simulation based on Nyaya Darsana technique. The subjects in this study were the sixth semester students of the Hindu Education Study Program 2016/2017 academic year totaling 31 people. The data in this study were collected by tests and the results were analyzed quantitatively supported by qualitative interpretations. The results show that the application of peer teaching simulation with Nyaya Darsana technique can improve the basic teaching skills of the sixth semester students of the Hindu Education Study Program STKIP Agama Hindu Amlapura 2016/2017 academic year from the percentage of success in the first cycle of 87,10% to 93,55% in cycle II. Meanwhile, the average value also increased from 73.42 in the first cycle to 74,97 in the second cycle. Therefore, the application of peer teaching simulation with Nyaya Darsana technique is recommended to be used in lectures that target the formation of skills or competencies of prospective teachers.</em><strong><em></em></strong></p>

<p><em>The background of this research was the importance of masteringKanji in learning Japanese since most Japanese transcriptions use it. However, the large number of Kanjicharacters gave students difficulty to understand kanji.The objective of this researchis was to study Kanji mastery level of  7th semester students of Japanese Education program in the academic year of 2016. This quantitative research applied the descriptive method. The object of the research was 25 students. To select the sample of the research is by using the purposive sampling technique. Data were taken fromthe scores of the students’ Kanjitest. The instrument of the research was an essay test which measured the students’ abilities in writing the Kanjicharacters. Based on the research results, it is found that the students’ mastery was in the “satisfactory” classification with score of 59,68.</em></p>

This study aims to determine the effect of giving rewards on learning outcomes in fifth grade mathematics subjects at SDN 094097 Simpang Pongkalan Tongah. The research method used is an experimental method with quantitative research. To obtain the necessary data in the form of a test with a total of 40 questions. The research at SDN 094097 Simpang Pongkalan Tongah in class V was carried out from 10 to 11 May 2021. The number of research samples was 16 students based on the saturated sample technique. The results of statistical calculations show that the ability of students in answering post-test questions with the reward method is included in the very good category with an average value of 84.06 in the very good category. Meanwhile, the students' ability to answer the post-test questions with the demonstration method was included in the good category with an average value of 70.31 in the good category. This study used the normality test with the results of 0.200> 0.05. Then the homogeneity test with a significance value of 0.344 > 0.05. Furthermore, hypothesis testing is to compare the value of tcount with ttable. Obtained the value of tcount = 4.111 while ttable = 1.746. Because tcount > ttable (4.111 > 1.746) then Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. Through the t test, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect between giving rewards to learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the effect of promotion on the decision of students to choose the Islamic Education Management Study Program of the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teachers of the Darussalam Islamic Institute of Academic Year 2019/2020. As one of the factors influencing students' decision to choose a study program, promotion is one of the most important variables in the marketing mix undertaken by a company or educational institution. This research is a quantitative research. This type of research uses quantitative descriptive. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire or questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. To find out whether there is a significant influence between promotion of student decisions in choosing the Islamic Education Management Study Program at the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teaching Institute of Islamic Religion in the Academic Year 2019/2020 using Pearson's product moment formula. After analyzing the data collected, it was found that (1) the results of the questionnaire were about promotion with 53 respondents classified as very good with the percentage of 88.60% (2) the results of the questionnaire about the student's decision were classified as very good with a percentage of 88.86%. (3) Effect of Promotion on Students' Decisions to Choose Islamic Education Management Study Program of the Tarbiyah and Teaching Faculty of Islamic Republic of Darussalam Academic Year 2019/2020 shows an effect of 90.63%, with the results of t count then 0.935 is between 0.80 - 1,000 Very strong.

 Abstract The purpose of thi research is to describethe ability of solving problems through the application of learning with a problem based teaching materials on the subject of vector analysis 4th semester students of mathematics education study program in the academic year 2015/2016. This study used a qualitative approach with classroom action research participants. The hallmark of the classroom action research done in the cycles. Each cycles consists of four phases: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Based on the results of this research is: (1) that students problem solving abilities views of mastery learning students has increased 23% , (2) From the average value of problem solving ability of students increased by 4,2 after improvements in cycle II, (3) Based on observation, the learning process has increased by 9,1% and student activities increased by 6,25%, (4) The all object of the interview stated that they were pleased with applied learning. From all the research results have shown that this research has met the success criteria set.

Abstract: This study aims to make speaking skills that contain character values ​​such as honesty, responsibility, love and respect for others at the college level such as polytechnics. The approach used is a quantitative approach and a qualitative approach. Used to describe the character and speaking skills of students, while a qualitative approach is used to approach speaking skills in interviews. The object of research is students of the AK-2A class of Accounting Study Program which means 34 people in the 2018-2019 academic year (even). The analysis technique in this research is the product statistical analysis of the Karl Person moment. The average character score of the students was 57.85. This value indicates that the character of the student is not good. The average value of student skills skills 71.24 (71%). This value indicates that the students' speaking skills are good. The correlation between characters and speaking skills is 0.370 and significant at 0.05 levels, because the smaller count is significant than the significant tables, the significant 0.031 < 0.05 is significant. In other words, the influence of character on speaking skills is 37%, while the influence of other factors is 63%. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan agar keterampilan berbicara mengandung nilai-nilai karakter seperti kejujuran, bertanggung jawab, memiliki rasa cinta serta menghargai orang lain di tingkat perguruan tinggi seperti politeknik. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuntitatif dan pendekatan kualitatif. Pendekatan kuantitatif digunakan untuk mendeskripsikan karakter dan keterampilan berbicara mahasiswa, sedangkan pendekatan kualitatif digunakan untuk melihat keterampilan berbicara dalam praktik wawancara. Objek penelitian yaitu mahasiswa Program Studi Akuntansi kelas AK-2A  yang berjumlah 34 orang Tahun akademik 2018-2019 (genap). Teknik analisis dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis statistik korelasi product momen dari Karl Person. Nilai rata-rata karakter mahasiswa berjumlah 57,85. Nilai ini menunjukkan bahwa karakter mahasiswa kurang baik. Nilai rata-rata keterampilan berbicara mahasiswa berjumlah 71,24 (71%). Nilai ini menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan berbicara mahasiswa sudah baik. Korelasi antara karakter dengan keterampilan berbicara sebesar 0,370 dan signifikan pada tarap 0,05, karena lebih kecil signifikan hitung dari pada signifikan tabel yaitu signifikan hitung 0,031 < 0,05 signifikan tabel. Dengan kata lain pengaruh karakter terhadap keterampilan berbicara sebesar 37%, sedangkan pengaruh faktor lain sebesar 63%.
