There Improvements in the local economy, especially for the poor through open and sustainable tourism management, are believed to be achieved through the empowerment of the tourism sector. Mapping the potential of village tourism in the Triharjo village area is one of the essential things. Identification and mapping of village tourism potential needed in order to implementation community-based tourism (CBT). This research aims to identifying and mapping the potential of village tourism in order to produce a profile of village tourism potential and identify opportunities for developing village tourism potential. The object of this study is Triharjo village, Pandak District, Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta. This research was conducted with a qualitative approach. Collecting data in this study used several research instruments, such as in-depth interviews, focus group discussions (FGD), observations, and document studies. Based on research finding while the communities and local governments of Triharjo village recognize that not all village tourism potentials are well managed. The results of the mapping of village tourism potential provide them that the involvement of local communities in the planning and management of a village tourism potential is needed and have a positive impact on the longterm. The empowerment of the local economy, especially the poor, is believed to be achieved through the empowerment of the tourism sector. Community-based tourism emphasizes community ownership and active participation, provides education to local communities, promotes and protection of culture and the environment.

The development of rural tourism requires the participation of local communities in the entire development phase starting from the planning, implementation and supervision stages. However, in reality there is Often neglect of community participation. This study aims to examine the strategy of developing Taro Rural Tourism and the involvement of local communities in development. The research in this paper was conducted in the tourist village of Taro, Gianyar Regency, Bali. Data collection is done by literature study, in-depth interviews and non-participant observation. The analytical method used is descriptive analysis. This paper shows that the development of tourist villages in Taro can still be developed considering that Taro still has tourism potential that is very possible to be developed.

Sayan Village is one of the villages in Ubud that has a lot of potential to be used as a tourism village. The first three great potentials are natural tourism, potential opportunities for water tubing tourism, and also the potential of Puri Sayan as a heritage tourism object in Sayan Village, which is being planned by the village government and local communities. In addition to the three great potentials, Sayan Village also has the potential for water tourism with beji spring sources which are a source of water that is purified by the local community and is usually used for melukat. In this case, the researcher focused more on discussing the development of biology natural tourism which is currently used as the center of tourism village activities in Sayan Village. This study uses collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative analysis and SWOT analysis. The technique of determining informants used purposive sampling technique. The results of this study contain the existing conditions of Desa Sayan based on tourism product components, namely attractions, amenities, accessibility, and ancilliary. And the strategy for developing SWOT-based Sayan Tourism Village. So that the strategies obtained produce the best ways to realize one of the missions of Desa Sayan as a sustainable tourism village. Tabanan Regency has a high prospect in the development of tourism and its complementary facilities. Tourism village is the alternative tourism products that can provide the development of rural areas that are certainly sustainable for the future. Timpag Village is one of the villages which located in Kerambitan District, Tabanan Regency which has several tourism potentials such as nature, cultures, and the local communities. The development of Rural Tourism in Timpag Village has a high value to be a tourist attraction but the reality this village has not been able to be a developed as a rural tourism. Based on these problems this research aims to determine “Development Strategies of Rural Tourism Based Local Community in Timpag Village, Kerambitan District, Tabanan Regency Bali.” The research method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive analysis supported by IFAS and EFAS analysis in designing a strategy for developing local community-based tourism villages used SWOT analysis. Data collection techniques are using the method of observation, interviews, library research. The result show the design of alternative strategies to develop community-based tourism villages that can be applied in the development of Rural Tourism in Timpag Village. There are six altrenative strategys that can be applied such as attractions development based on tourism potential, local communities involvement , tourism facilities development, tourism organisation development, improve the traditional security system, and improve the ability of communities about tourism development. Therefore, local communities need to preserve the tourism potential that is owned as a rural tourism product. Keywords: Rural Tourism, Community Based Tourism, and Strategy

This research aims to determine the potential of tourism based on supporting and inhibiting factors of rural tourism development in Desa Kemetul and analyzing the strategy of community-based tourism in Desa Kemetul. The research was conducted in Desa Kemetul Kecamatan Susukan Kabupaten Semarang. This study uses qualitative method which the data obtained through depth interviews with Kepala Desa Kemetul, Chairman of POKDARWIS Sekar Kanthil, Local Communities, and Dinas Pariwisata Kabupaten Semarang, and then the data were analyzed using SWOT analysis. The study concluded that Desa Kemetul has a lot of tourism potential to become tourist attraction. Desa Kemetul needs to consider strengthening flagship product, the strategy of sustainable development of a tourist attraction, and strategies for institutional development and human resources.

Landak Regency has many natural resources that have the potential to be used as natural tourism objects. One of them is Dait Waterfall which has 7 floors and is located in an unspoiled forest area. The area is often visited by tourists from various regions of West Kalimantan. However, there are several problems related to supporting facilities and infrastructure that are not up to standard for tourism activities, so that the tourism potential is not maximized. For this reason, it is necessary to design a "Dait Waterfall Tourism Area in Landak Regency" which is in accordance with tourism standards and local environmental needs, with the concept of ecotourism that uses a sustainable environmental approach and empowerment of local communities. The arrangement is done by designing which starts from the function analysis process, which includes the main functions and supporting functions. The main functions include recreational aspects and supporting functions consisting of commercial functions, ecological functions and community participation functions. The design method consists of the introduction, definition, preparation, analysis, synthesis, evaluation and re-evaluation stages. The design process is applied in the construction of the main tourism facilities and infrastructure such as outbound areas, camping areas, selfie areas, and others. In addition, supporting facilities and infrastructure such as management areas, commercial areas, service areas, utility aspects, and others. With this design, it is hoped that the Dait Waterfall Tourism Area will attract more tourists from a wider variety of areas.

Ecotourism activities and the community-based ecotourism model are not new in Bintan District. Some coastal villages such as the Village of Kuala Sempang through Ballond Mangrove Tour and the Village of Pengudang through Pengudang Bintan Mangrove are even able to promote the mangrove forest ecotourism activities managed by the local communities. The success in promoting tourism potential through the concept of ecotourism in these villages certainly brings the hope of empowerment to the communities. Some studies even emphasize that tourism with the concept of ecotourism and community-based ecotourism models can contribute positively and can be used as a means or tool for community empowerment, especially for economically marginalized local communities. However, so far, studies on tourism in Bintan District are more focused on aspects of managing ecotourism activities, evaluating the development of ecotourism, and studying the potential of mangroves, while studies on community empowerment through ecotourism activities are needed to be encouraged to provide understanding based on empirical evidence of the impact and benefits of ecotourism activities for community empowerment, especially in coastal villages. Therefore, this study aims to describe how ecotourism activities empower the communities in coastal villages in Bintan District.

Entrepreneurs play an important role in sustaining rural tourism and formulation of sustainable strategies being the initiators of the tourism business and the engine of the local development. Therefore, it is necessary to stimulate the development of entrepreneurial activities for the recovery of rural tourism potential and regional traditions, maintaining local employment growth and increase living standards in line with identifies needs and priorities of regional human resources development. This article aims to discuss the involvement of local communities in development of rural tourism entrepreneurship as well as addressing the issue of entrepreneurship in rural tourism.

Rural areas experience an imbalance between rural development and cities due to a centralistic development approach. Noting this reality, the government shifted its approach to development strategies that led to decentralization policies. The development of tourism in the village of Pasirmulya is directed at the concept of sustainable development, where local communities are given the authority to manage the tourism potential that exists. The problem is that there are no accommodation facilities for visitors in the village of Pasirmulya, according to the character of rural areas. Eco-homestay is the concept of accommodation facilities in the local ecotourism destination area which is natural, clean, healthy, safe, orderly and environmentally friendly. Applied the concept of marketing, understanding the values ​​of tourism, and improving the quality of human resources, is expected to contribute economically to local communities in the village of Pasirmulya. The results of mentoring that have been carried out are the ability of the community in tourism awareness, can carry out independent cleaning of the homestay and increase income in homestay management.

The purpose of this research was to know the tourism potential of Temuku Aya Subak Tour seen from 3A that were an attraction, access, and facility. In addition, to know the participation of local communities, as well as the impact of Temuku Aya Subak Tour development to the local community. Temuku Aya Subak Tour is located in Tajen Village and developed by local people who see the potential of tourism in this village.Data collection techniques used were in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The analysis technique used was descriptive qualitative analysis and also Triangulation data. The results showed Temuku Aya Subak Tour had the potential of natural rice fields and plantations. Temuku Aya Subak Tour also offered tourism activities as well as the preservation of local culture and traditions. In addition, local communities also participated as investors and as employees in the development of Temuku Aya Subak Tour. The tour economic impact could provide employment. From the socio-cultural impact, it could keep the local customs and traditions of the village, and from environmental impact, the local community could be more aware of the cleanliness of the village environment.
