The Potential of Taro Village in Supporting Sustainable Tourism in Gianyar, Bali

The development of rural tourism requires the participation of local communities in the entire development phase starting from the planning, implementation and supervision stages. However, in reality there is Often neglect of community participation. This study aims to examine the strategy of developing Taro Rural Tourism and the involvement of local communities in development. The research in this paper was conducted in the tourist village of Taro, Gianyar Regency, Bali. Data collection is done by literature study, in-depth interviews and non-participant observation. The analytical method used is descriptive analysis. This paper shows that the development of tourist villages in Taro can still be developed considering that Taro still has tourism potential that is very possible to be developed.

The implementation of a tourism village in Lebak Regency is needed to support local potential in order to provide strategic value and broad economic effects. However, in reality there is no policy preparation available to equalize the perceptions of stakeholders in empowering the community through the implementation of a tourism village; This study aims to review the plan for organizing a tourist village and formulate a model for the implementation of a tourist village. The research in this paper was carried out in Lebak Regency. Data collection was carried out through literature studies, in- depth interviews and non-participant observation. The analytical method used is descriptive analysis. This paper shows that the Regency of Lebak needs guidelines for the administration of a tourism village. Tabanan Regency has a high prospect in the development of tourism and its complementary facilities. Tourism village is the alternative tourism products that can provide the development of rural areas that are certainly sustainable for the future. Timpag Village is one of the villages which located in Kerambitan District, Tabanan Regency which has several tourism potentials such as nature, cultures, and the local communities. The development of Rural Tourism in Timpag Village has a high value to be a tourist attraction but the reality this village has not been able to be a developed as a rural tourism. Based on these problems this research aims to determine “Development Strategies of Rural Tourism Based Local Community in Timpag Village, Kerambitan District, Tabanan Regency Bali.” The research method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive analysis supported by IFAS and EFAS analysis in designing a strategy for developing local community-based tourism villages used SWOT analysis. Data collection techniques are using the method of observation, interviews, library research. The result show the design of alternative strategies to develop community-based tourism villages that can be applied in the development of Rural Tourism in Timpag Village. There are six altrenative strategys that can be applied such as attractions development based on tourism potential, local communities involvement , tourism facilities development, tourism organisation development, improve the traditional security system, and improve the ability of communities about tourism development. Therefore, local communities need to preserve the tourism potential that is owned as a rural tourism product. Keywords: Rural Tourism, Community Based Tourism, and Strategy

This study was conducted to identify and describe the regulation making processes and the implementation of the policy by the Local Government of Katingan Regency in managing the tourism potential resources through the development planning of the regency programs. The descriptive method with qualitative approach was applied with the application of qualititative data collection techniques. Data were collected through observation, structured-in depth interviews, and literature study, with primary data collection techniques were interviews of 14 of the key informants and the document review. The participants were selected due to the purposive qualitative sampling technique. The research showed the existing condition of the tourism in Katingan Regency which include the descriptions of the potential resources and the descriptions of the policy procession making by Badan Perencanaan Pembangunan Penelitian dan Pengembangan and the implementation of the regulation by Dinas Kebudayaan Pariwisata Pemuda dan Olahraga Kabupaten Katingan. The results of the research suggested that alternative regulation as an operational policy are needed to improve the development programs such as the management of resources policy and the sites management policy.

Rawa Pening Lake is one of the landscapes in Semarang Regency. The existence of the lake has social, cultural, and economic impacts on the people who live around it, giving rise to a pattern of relationships between humans and nature. The relationship pattern between Lake Rawa Pening and the surrounding community is studied in terms of environmental determinism, that the environment shapes the culture and characteristics of the surrounding society Environmental determinism provides a scientific foundation to see how society lives and to see the society's mindset that is formed as a result of the pattern of human relations with nature. This research also focuses on the community's meaning of Lake Rawa Pening. The method used in this research is qualitative and data collection techniques with in-depth interviews, participant observation, documentation, and literature study. The research was conducted in Bejalen Village, Ambarawa District, Semarang Regency. The results of interviews and literature studies show that there are several patterns of community relations with Lake Rawa Pening such as livelihoods by region, livelihood by groups, work equipment, local knowledge, and traditions

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of the pros and cons of greeting Om Swastiastu among officials. The purpose of this study is to find and explain more deeply about the motives, experiences and meaning of Om Swastiastu's greetings for communication between religions. The research method used in this research is the phenomenology method. While the data collection techniques used are non-participant observation, in-depth interviews, literature study and documentation. The subjects of this study were government officials or apparatuses who said Om Swastiastu greeting, amounting to 7 people and taking informants using purposive sampling. The results showed that the future motives (in order motive) greetings from Om Swastiastu were self existence and tolerance and motives from the past (because motive) greetings from Om Swastiastu were due to internal encouragement, the spirit of nationality, a sense of nationalism and the principle of neutrality. While the experience of saying Om swastiastu greetings is divided into pleasant experiences (positive), that is feeling valued, getting new political relations, good treatment, sympathy and growing solidarity between people while the unpleasant experience (negative) is mandating unfavorable treatment, derision in the form of harsh words, criticism and stay away from and considered to have no stance. While the meaning of Om swastiastu's greetings is to pray for salvation in the Hindu version, a word of thanksgiving and a greeting.

Bromonilan Tourism Village or DEWA BROMO is a rural tourism object of Sleman Regency based on local communities or Community-Based Tourism which was established based on a Pokdarwis Decree dated January 7, 2019. This tourist village located on the banks of Kali Kuning offers a concept of rural tourism destinations. The surge in tourists in the weekends has an impact on the accumulation of garbage in the Bromonilan environment. The research method used in this research is to study data through observation, in-depth interviews with the manager and study documentation. Research shows that there has been no significant optimization of plastic waste since this tourist village was established in January 2019 to January 2021 so that the remaining plastic waste from visiting tourists is neglected so it is necessary to optimize plastic waste into paving blocks. This article discusses the mapping of specific cuisines as culinary tourism potential in Surakarta. The general objective is to present a culinary-mapping of specific culinary products where the information can be used by stakeholders such as goverment, culinary business, travel industries, including tourists. The implementation of the study has specific objectives: (1) identify the specific culinary potentials in Surakarta, (2) create a culinary tourism map in Surakarta City. This research applies descriptive-qualitative research methods in the effort of apprising the information of unique/specific culinary tourism in Surakarta. Data collection techniques wae conducted through participatory observation, in-depth interviews and literature studies. The data collection through observation and interviews were conducted in government agencies, travel industries and culinary tourism businesses around Surakarta. The literature study included all concepts and theories related to culinary tourism especially culinary references in Surakarta. The results obtained from this study indicate that the potential of culinary tourism in Surakarta is very diverse with each peculiar identity. In connection with a variety of culinary potential is then presented on the Surakarta culinary map which helps stakeholders in developing Surakarta’s culinary tourism.

Lamongan regency is a region with many cultural heritage and is also a path of spreading Islam by Walisongo and Sunan in East Java, this makes Lamongan regency famous for its religious tourism, but besides that there is one new alternative tourist destination that is Tourism Village Sendang Duwur. This tourist village has various types of tourism potentials that have not been explored optimally, so it still needs to explore the potential so that it can create new tourism products that are relevant to their potential.                   This study aims to explore the tourism potential in Sendang DuwurTourism Village, as well as create new tourism products relevant to the available tourism potential. The types of data used qualitative data and quantitative data, with data collection conducted by observation, documentation, literature study and in-depth interviews. Data analysis used is data analysis of flow model consisting of three stages (data reduction, data display, and data verification) by using concept of tourism potency and tourism component concept. The results of this study indicate that in general the Village Tour Sendang Duwur has three types of tourism potential namely the potential of natural tourism, cultural tourism potential, and the potential of man-made tourism, where this potential has not been explored to the fullest. So from the results of potential excavations are created new products relevant to the potential that is owned and certainly can support tourism activities in the Village Tour Sendang Duwur.The creation of new products is expected to increase the variety of attractions contained in the Village Sendang Duwur and of course can be used as a consideration for further development of tourism potential.   Keywords : tourism potential, tourist village, sendang duwur.

This study tries to examine the educational methods applied by parents to children in one alley in the Yogyakarta Region, with Gang Ori II Papringan Sleman Yogyakarta as a location. Using a qualitative naturalistic approach with descriptive analysis methods. Data collection is done by participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The data obtained were analyzed using Non-Statistical Spradley analysis. The results of this study indicate that based on the above explanation it can be concluded that, parents who live in Gang Ori II Papringan Sleman Yogyakarta vary in terms of the method of educating their children. There are those who educate their children with exemplary methods, there are also those who use the method of advice or customs. And some also use the method of punishment or sanctions.

Introduction. One of the librarians’ role is to improve the feeling of  optimistic through bibliotheraphy on patients.  This paper focuses on bibliotherapy to improve patients’ optimistic attitude. This study aims to understand the benefits of bibliotheraphy from patients’ health perspectives.  Data Collection Method: This research used a quasi-experimental approach. Data collection was conducted through patients observation, in-depth interviews and literature study. Our study population was patients in several hospital as well as involving academic experts in the field of bibliotheraphy. Analysis Data: The data was analysed based opn qualitative approach. Results and Discussions: There were 5 implementation stages of bibliotherapy to the patients: (1) Patients were motivated by the librarian with the games  involving patients with positive advice (2) The librarian asked the patients to read the prepared material (3) The librarian gaves patients some time to reflect on their reading materials (4) The librarian discussed  with patients about the reading materials (5) the librarian evaluated by listening to the patients. Conclusion: Bibliotherapy can be useful for health improvement, particularly to improve optimistic attitude of patients in dealing with their disease.
