The aim of this study was to conduct a correlational-predictive study of the antecedent variables of Passion towards Work. The participants were 513 workers (48.1% male, 51.9% female), obtained through non-probability sampling. We used the FACTOR 7.2 and SPSS 22.0. In the results we find that variables such as Personality, Engagement, Self-efficacy, obsessive-compulsive component, Life satisfaction and Lifestyle were predictive of Passion towards Work. In conclusion Passion towards Work can be predicted as follows: The variables Dedication, Growth, Physical activity, Satisfaction with life and Excessive responsibility were direct predictors of Harmonious Passion whereas Vigor was an inverse predictor. Similarly, the variables Absorption and Excessive responsibility were predictors of Obsessive Passion, whereas Satisfaction with life, Openness to experience and Kindness were negative predictors.

<p class="Sinespaciado1"><span lang="EN-GB">Passion at work has a great influence on the occupational health of workers.<span class="hps"> Vallerand and his collaborators have defined two types of passion, </span><em>Harmonious</em> <span class="hps">and<em> </em></span><em>Obsessive</em><span class="hps">. In the first type, people feel obliged to carry out an activity but freely decide to do it and do so in harmony with other aspects of their lives. And in the second, although the person likes the activity, they feel obliged to take part in it because of internal circumstances that exercise control over them.  </span>In this context, the objective was to adapt Vallerand and Houlfort’s Passion towards Work Scale (PTW) into Spanish. The participants were 513 workers, selected through non-probability sampling. We used the FACTOR program (version 7.2) and SPSS 20.0. The results of the CFA (ESEM) for the PTW scale supported the two-factor model (Harmonious Passion and Obsessive Passion), presented adequate reliability and evidence of validity with Burnout, Irritation, Engagement and Self-Efficacy.  The PTW Scale and Questionnaire are reliable and valid instruments, suitable for being used in Spanish. </span></p>

The studies demonstrate the relationship between higher level of life satisfaction and exercise. The purpose of this article was to determine what type of physical activity, CrossFit training or Latin Dance, positively impacts the level of life satisfaction and self-perceived physical attractiveness in young adults. After CrossFit and Latin Dance training participants declared greater overall satisfaction with life, greater life optimism, increased self-efficacy and greater self-esteem. The results of the authors’ study may be an important contribution to the discussion about factors influencing human well-being. Furthermore, the research could be a scientific argument to promote physical activity among young adults.

The main purpose of this cross-sectional study, carried out with deaf parents and blind parents, is to analyze the association of coping strategies, life satisfaction, well-being, and generalized self-efficacy, compared to a group of parents without a sensory loss. The Coping Orientation to Problems Experienced, Satisfaction with Life, Generalized Self-efficacy, and Psychological Well-Being scales were applied. Results indicate that: (1) deaf parents and blind parents search for social support, use avoidance, and turn to religion more than those without a sensory loss; (2) deaf parents are more satisfied with life than blind parents and those without a sensory loss; (3) deaf parents and blind parents perceive themselves as less efficacious than those without a sensory loss; (4) deaf parents and blind parents report lower psychological well-being (autonomy and personal growth) than those without a sensory loss, except for self-acceptance. Searching for social support and turning to religion are negatively associated with life satisfaction in deaf parents and those without a sensory loss; further, these coping strategies (together with avoidance) affect the psychological well-being of deaf parents and parents without a sensory loss. Future research could investigate deeper into the effects of these dimensions on well-being and the styles of parenting in these families.

<p>Rescuers jobs are important because these are related with own and others lives. The present study was conducted to study that how burnout levels are related with rescuers and their jobs? Copenhagen Burnout Inventory, Self-efficacy scale and the satisfaction with life scale were administered to 120 male rescuers working in a government department serving against various positions. It was found that self-efficacy was significantly correlated with life satisfaction (<i>r</i>= .45, <i>p</i>< .01) among rescuers. Moreover it was found that self-efficacy and life satisfaction were negatively correlated with burnout (<i>r</i>= -.71, <i>p</i>< .01), (<i>r</i>= -.56, <i>p</i>< .01). Some important demographic findings regarding age, assignment and education also emerged. Cross-cultural studies recommended. </p>

Aim. The aim of the study was to show the dominant types of physical activity and their causes in patients with metabolic syndrome undertaking regular and sporadic physical activity, as well as to determine whether their sporting activities are related to the sense of efficacy and life satisfaction. Materials and methods. Forty-one women diagnosed with metabolic syndrome were tested, 20 regularly (on average, 6.48 hours a week allocated to sports) and 21 sporadically practicing sports (the average number of hours devoted to physical activity in this group is 1.25). The author’s "Active Lifestyle", SWLS Satisfaction with Life Scale and the GSES Generalised Self Efficacy Scale in Juczyński's adaptation were used. Results. Patients with metabolic syndrome undertake physical activity, mainly on their own initiative, to improve their health. In this group, walking and aerobics were the most popular. The respondents were characterized by an average sense of efficacy. The level of life satisfaction is higher in the group of subjects regularly practicing sports. Regularly performing sport is accompanied by patients with metabolic syndrome having greater satisfaction with (r = 0.311*, p = 0.047). Conclusions. Regular physical activity of patients with metabolic syndrome is associated with life satisfaction. Therefore, physical activity should be clearly promoted in obese patients (patients) with metabolic disorders. null

In the present investigation an attempt was made to study the Self-efficacy, as a predictor of Life satisfaction among undergraduate students. A sample of 120 under-graduate students from Faculty of Social Science, AMU, Aligarh was drawn by using purposive sampling technique. General Self-Efficacy Scale–Hindi Version (GSE-H) developed by Jerusalem & Schwarzer (1992) and Satisfaction with life Scale developed by Diener, Emmons, Larsen, and Griffen (1985) were administered. For the data analyses Simple Linear Regression was applied. The findings of the present study showed that Self-efficacy and Life Satisfaction significantly correlated with each other and Self-Efficacy had its significant impact on Life Satisfaction among under-graduate students.

Studies about the influence of physical activity on life satisfaction, functional ability and subjective well-being in physically active older adults without cognitive impairment are very few for the moment. Therefore, the aim of this research was to evaluate the life satisfaction, functional skills and subjective well-being of physically active older adults based on the level of activity practiced. The IPAQ (International Physical Activity), CUBRECAVI and LSIA (Life Satisfaction Index) scales were tested for a sample of 397 Spanish older adults between 61 and 93 years of age (M = 69.65; SD = 4.71). The results showed that those who performed high physical activity obtained higher scores in functional skills (p < 0.01) and in the activities of daily living (p < 0.01). In addition, subjective well-being (p < 0.01) and the functional autonomy of older adults (p < 0.01) were related to the level of physical activity that they practiced. In conclusion, it could be said that the older adults with a high level of physical activity have more functional skills and less difficulties performing the activities of daily living, and that they value their autonomy and health better.

Abstract.According to the theory of continuity, older adults remains throughout life in a continuous process of development by maintaining the same activities, behaviors and relationships as they did in their first years of life. And understand that the desire to maintain normal activities generates preventive behaviors aimed at better enjoyment of old age and even allows adaptation to negative external situations. As Fernández-Ballesteros (2000) states, the older person must remain an active individual in an active environment and not a passive individual in a demanding environment and driver.Physical activity allows the greatest stay active and increase their well-being, both physical and psychological. Following the theory of Self-Determination, one of the indicators set as psychological well-being is the satisfaction with life. In this line, we wanted to check this indicator in a group of 37 older who were part of a program of physical activity, for which they spent Satisfaction Scale with Life (Diener et al. (1985).The results showed high satisfaction, responding positively most users, proving that as age increases people’s life satisfaction is improved. These results support the involvement of psychological factors as mediators in the relationship between physical activity and mental health. Keywords: Elderly, psychological wellbeing, life satisfaction, Physical Activity, Aging, HealthResumen.
