Objective To understand the current situation of emergency nurses’ specialty competence and propose improvement strategies accordingly, aiming to provide a reference for the comprehensive enhancement of nurse competency as well as the selection and training of high-level nursing management talents. Methods Using a self-made questionnaire based on literature review, 266 emergency specialist nurses in 15 tertiary general hospitals in Guangdong Province were surveyed through the questionnaire star. Results The survey showed that the participants appeared to have a high level of self-confidence and recognition for most indicators, as suggested by a high score (195.46±23.64), except for the aspect of scientific research ability. The scores of scientific research ability items ranged from 3 to 15 points (the 50th quantile was 9 points), and the score was 10.41±2.28 with a median score of 10, indicating that clinical nurses lacked confidence in scientific research abilities. The results of linear regression analysis suggested that gender, job title, publications in recent 5 years, and whether directly affiliated to a teaching hospital were the influencing factors that affect the competence of emergency nurses. Conclusions Scientific research ability is the major shortcoming of emergency specialist nurses. The influencing factors that affect nurses’ competencies include gender, professional title, publications in recent 5 years and whether directly affiliated to a teaching hospital. Nursing scientific research is the power source of the continuous development of nursing discipline. Therefore, it is recommended that the leaders of healthcare authorities and hospitals should strengthen the training of nursing scientific research and improve the scientific research ability of nurses.

AbstractThe frequent references to the actors and events of the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic wars in the titles of the dance tunes of the period raise the question of how we should understand their significance. This article argues that the practice is one of a number of examples of music and song shaping people's lived experience and behavior in ways that were rarely fully conscious. Drawing on a range of music collections, diaries, and journals, the article argues that we need to recognize how significant aural dimensions were in shaping people's predisposition to favor the status quo in this period of heightened political controversy.

The number of samples in each wave is different, ranging from 4,013 to 4,335 due to the death of the participant, the rejection of additional interviews, and the refreshment participant collected in Wave 5. The findings indicate that the absolute employment of the people aged 65 or older and the proportion of working people among those have increased over the past decade. Abstract The purpose of this study was to understand the status and influential factors of preschool teachers' attitudes towards inclusive education, given the evidence that attitudes predict successful inclusion for young children with or at risk for developmental delays or disabilities. We translated the Multidimensional Attitudes Toward Inclusive Education Scale (MATIES, Mahat, 2008) to Simplified Chinese (MATIES-C). We then administered the MATIE-C to a representative sample of in-service preschool teachers (N = 481) in Beijing, China. The confirmative factor analysis and reliability tests suggested an acceptable construct validity and internal reliability of the MATIES-C. We also found preschool teachers in Beijing held positive attitudes towards inclusion across cognitive, affective, and behavioral dimensions of attitudes. The ANOVA results indicate teachers' experience and knowledge about children with disabilities had statistically positive associations with favorable attitudes. Preschool area, teacher age, and educational background were also found to have a statistically significant impact on teacher attitudes.

The paper starts from the general approach to the content and essence of the categories of power and authority and their interrelationship at the level of theoretical analysis and practical existence and manifestation. The sources from which the power and the authority of managers emerge will be analyzed taking into account their position and role in the organizations and other forms of the existence of the managerial function. The power is the right to order and obligation to respect / apply the order - it is very present in the work and behavior of the managers. The power is visible in the area of the state activities, in the education system, among the family. The authority represents carrying out the will even when it is contrary to the interests of others. You can talk about economic, ideological, religious, media authority, the authority of political parties and interest groups.Organizations are composed of persons who perform greater or lesser degrees of authority and power. Sometimes the power and authority in the organization arise from the position of a person in the organization or from the knowledge and skills that a person possesses. Others express their authority in interpersonal relationships through their character. In practice, it is seen that individuals have formal power and no real authority. Most directly, the authority of managers is derived from their functions / activities in the enterprise, from the right to command and direct other people in their tasks and responsibilities. Their power stems from the right and the ability to create an environment in which other individuals will participate in the realization of the organization's goals, in other words, the right to create an atmosphere that will encourage people to dedicate themselves to the work and development of the enterprise. The authority of managers arises from their intellectual knowledge, often higher than the knowledge of employees, which also activates authority as a voluntary acknowledgment of influence on the subordinate.Through an analytical approach, analyzes will be made on some issues and aspects of the status of managers in the Macedonian society, through projected grouping / classification of types of managers. Also, an answer to the question of why the managerial function in the Republic of Macedonia is reviving.

Background and Objective: Maintaining privacy and ensuring confidentiality with patients is paramount to developing an effective patient-provider relationship. This is often challenging in over-crowded Emergency Departments (EDs). This survey was designed to explore patients’ perceptions on maintenance of privacy and confidentiality and their subsequent interactions with providers in a busy tertiary care hospital in Karachi. Methods: Trained nursing staff conducted structured interviews with 571 patients who presented to The Indus Hospital (TIH) ED from January to December 2020. All patients were 14 years of age or older, could speak and understand Urdu, and provide informed consent. Patients were asked about their perceptions of privacy and confidentiality in the ED and whether this affected their interactions with providers. Results: Respondents were primarily men (64%) under the age of 45 (62%) presenting for the first time (49%). The majority of patients felt that privacy and confidentiality were maintained, however 10% of patients reported that they had rejected examination due to privacy concerns and 15% of patients reported that they had changed or omitted information provided to a provider due to confidentiality concerns. There was correlation between privacy and confidentiality concerns and patient-provider interactions (p<0.0001). Conclusions: Despite the often over-crowded and busy environment of the ED, patients generally felt that privacy and confidentiality were maintained. Given the correlation between perception and behavior and the importance of an effective patient-provider relationship, particularly in the acute setting when morbidity and mortality is high, initiatives that focus on maintaining privacy and confidentiality should be pursued. doi: https://doi.org/10.12669/pjms.38.ICON-2022.5785 How to cite this:Saleem SG, Ali S, Ghouri N, Maroof Q, Jamal MI, Aziz T, et al.
