<p><strong>Abstract </strong></p><p>The purpose of this study is to reveal school safety problems in Turkey reflected to the newspaper topics. In this study which is designed according to qualitative research method, document analysis technique is used. A total of 362 news related to school security problems with the keyword of “school” in the 2017-2018 academic year constitute the data of this study which is accessed from the search engines of Hürriyet and Sabah newspapers. In the analysis of the data, content analysis was performed to determine the dimensions of the events that reflect the news about school security problems. In the content analysis, in accordance with the sub-objectives of the research; Analyzes were made based on the topics related to physical, psycho-social and external threats which are reflections of school safety problems. As a result of the analysis in regard to the physical security of schools; four different categories were reached: building, transportation, hygiene factors and security related to infrastructure. Building category is divided into two sub-categories namely outdoor and indoor categories. Outdoor category involves structural problems of the buildings while the indoor category deals with the emergency situation. In the case of psycho-social security, the events in newspapers were collected in five different categories as violence, abuse, suicide, substance abuse and security events related to negligence. In the sub-dimension of psycho-social security, it is observed that most of the security incidents are seen in the category of violence and abuse in schools; It is interesting to note that in these categories, harming of others and sexual harassment are the most intense security incidents in schools. Finally, events related to external threats in the schools were collected in seven different categories as follows: school environment events, school environment structure and system, abuse, psychological attacks, terrorism, burglary and violence. It is possible to say that the school-related incidents as a result of the sale of drugs and unhealthy foods and the theft of schools' equipment are the most common external threats.</p><p><strong>Öz</strong></p><p>Bu çalışmanın amacı; Türkiye’de okul güvenliği sorunlarını gazete haberlerine yansıyan kısmıyla açığa çıkarmaktır.  Nitel araştırma yöntemine göre desenlenen bu çalışmada, dokuman analizi tekniği kullanılmıştır. Hürriyet ve Sabah gazetelerinin internet ortamındaki arama motorlarından ulaşılan, 2017-2018 eğitim-öğretim yılındaki ‘‘okul’’ anahtar kavramıyla okul güvenliği sorunları ile ilgili yaşanmış olaylara ait 362 adet haber, bu çalışmanın verilerini oluşturmaktadır. Verilerin analizinde okul güvenliği sorunlarına ilişkin haberlere yansıyan olayların hangi boyutlarda yaşandığının belirlenmesi amacıyla içerik analizi yapılmıştır. İçerik analizi yapılırken araştırmanın alt amaçları doğrultusunda; okul güvenliği sorunlarının yansımaları olan fiziksel, psiko-sosyal ve dış tehditlilerle ilgili başlıklarına dayalı olarak analizler yapılmış, bu başlıklar altında tema ve kategorilere ulaşılmış ve ulaşılan tema ve kategoriler sınıflandırılarak, frekansları gösteren şekillerle sunulmuştur. Yapılan analizler sonucunda okulların fiziksel güvenliğine ilişkin; <em>bina, ulaşım, hijyen etkenleri </em>ve<em> altyapı</em> ile ilgili güvenlik olayları olmak üzere dört farklı kategoriye ulaşılmıştır.<strong> </strong>Bu kategorilerden <em>bina</em> kategorisi altında öne çıkan dış mekân başlığı altında <em>binaların yapısal sorunları </em>ve iç mekân da ise <em>acil durumlar</em> kategorileri, önemli güvenlik olayları olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Psiko-sosyal güvenliğe ilişkin olarak ise gazete haberlerinde yer alan olaylar; <em>şiddet, istismar, intihar, madde bağımlılığı </em>ve<em> ihmal</em> ile ilgili güvenlik olayları olmak üzere beş farklı kategoride toplanmıştır. Psiko-sosyal güvenlik alt boyutunda okullarda <em>şiddet </em>ve <em>istismar</em> kategorisinde güvenlik olaylarının en fazla yaşandığı görülürken; bu kategorilerde <em>kişiye zarar verme</em> ve <em>cinsel tacizin</em> okullarda en yoğun olarak yaşanan güvenlik olayları olması dikkat çekicidir. Son olarak okullarda dış tehditler ile ilgili yer alan olaylar, <em>okul çevresi olayları, okul çevresi yapı ve sitemi, istismar, psikolojik saldırılar, terör, hırsızlık </em>ve<em> şiddet</em> ile ilgili güvenlik olayları olmak üzere yedi farklı kategoride toplanmıştır. Bu kategorilerden <em>uyuşturucu madde</em> ve <em>sağlıksız gıdaların satışı</em> sonucunda yaşanan <em>okul çevresi olayları</em> ile okulların donanım ve araç gereçlerine yönelik yapılan <em>hırsızlık</em> olaylarının okullarda en sık yaşanan dış tehditler olduğunu söylemek mümkündür.</p>

School security – of students, teachers, and other staff – is a critical issue in education policy. Due to the multiplicity of threats in the school environment, this issue still occupies a leading place in the discussion on education and forces constant care to improve this state. The headmaster manages school safety. The style of performing this duty is significant. The article discusses school security management, emphasizing the participatory method, which assumes the involvement of all educational entities in decision-making processes. Moreover, the prepared material presents many legal bases and other documents regulating safety rules and obligations to act in an emergency. Various educational programs and projects were also presented, which would be worth getting interested in to improve safety in schools.

Since the 1990s, K-12 schools across the U.S. have changed in important ways in an effort to maintain safe schools. They have added police officers, surveillance cameras, zero tolerance policies, and other equipment and personnel, while increasingly relying on suspension and other punishments. Unfortunately, we have implemented these practices based on assumptions that they will be effective at maintaining safety and helping youth, not based on evidence. The Real School Safety Problem addresses this problem in two ways. One, it provides a clear discussion of what we know and what we don’t yet know about the school security and punishment practices and their effects on students and schools. Two, it offers original research that extends what we know in important ways, showing how school security and punishment affects students, their families, their schools and their communities years into the future. Schools are indeed in crisis. But the real school safety problem is not that students are either out of control or in danger. Rather, the real school safety problem is that our efforts to maintain school safety have gone too far and in the wrong directions. As a result, we over-police and punish students in a way that hurts students, their families and their communities in broad and long-lasting ways.

The background of this research is the fact that the management of improving teacher‟s professionalism is still not effective. The role of teacher as planner, implementer, and developer of curriculum is also not optimal. Management of teachers is needed because teachers have a significant role in the success of learning process. This research was aimed at knowing Guardian Angel‟s concept of teacher management suggested by Munif Chatib and how it develops according to him. The implementation of Guardian Angel model of teacher management was presented through a testimony and direct interviews with Guardian Angel‟s trainees. This research used qualitative approach by studying Munif Chatib‟s books and direct interviews. Data were analyzed with content analysis, which included: (1) literary study of Munif Chatib‟s books, (2) description of Guardian Angel model of teacher management by Munif Chatib. This research found that (1) the concept of Guardian Angel teacher management uses humanistic approach, especially in regard to schedules of consultation, teaching strategies, and assessment through four kinds of teacher reports, including reports of morals, creativity, lesson plan, and student‟s learning results; (2) the basis used is the cornerstone of the scientific human resources and philosophical foundation that teachers carry out the work of teaching, which includes planning, teaching, evaluating, and learning. The first three points are teacher‟s obligations, while the last is their right. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi adanya keprihatinan manajemenpeningkatan profesionalitas guru yang belum berjalan efektif. Peranan guru sebagai perencana, pelaksana dan pengembang kurikulum yang belum optimal. Manajemen guru diperlukan mengingat bahwa peran guru amat signifikan bagi setiap keberhasilan proses pembelajaran.Penelitian ini mengungkap tentang manajemen guru Guardian Angel menurut Munif Chatib. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui konsep manajemen guru model Guardian Angel menurut Munif Chatib, dan berkembangannya Guardian Angel dalam pemikiran Munif Chatib. Implementasi manajemen guru model Guardian Angel dihadirkan melalui testimoni dan wawancara langsung dengan peserta pelatihan Guardian Angel. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dengan melakukan kajian terhadap buku - buku karya Munif Chatib dan wawancara langsung. Teknik anaisis data content analysis. Analisis meliputi: (1) kajian pustaka buku-buku karya Munif Chatib, (2) mendeskripsikan manajemen guru model Guardian Angel dalam pemikiran Munif Chatib.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) konsep model manajemen guru Guardian Angel menggunakan pola pendekatan manajemen humanis, terutama dalam jadwal konsultasi, strategi mengajar dan penilaian melalui empat rapor guru, yaitu rapor akhlak, rapor kreativitas, rapor lesson plan dan rapor hasil belajar siswa (2) landasan yang digunakan adalah landasan keilmuan sumber daya manusia dan landasan filosofi bahwa profesi guru mengemban pekerjaan manajemen, yaitu perencanaan , mengajar dan mengevaluasi dan belajar. Tiga hal pertama difahami sebagai kewajiban, sedangkan belajar dimaknai sebagai hak bagi seorang guru (3) Guardian Angel sebagai manajemen quality control yang meliputi: lesson plan, konsultasi, observasi dan umpan balik.

The study aimed at evaluating the school safety and security which is necessary to protect students with special needs in Saudi Arabia. The analytical descriptive approach was used  and study was divided into two main chapters: The first chapter deals with the conceptual framework by identifying the meaning of school security and safety, and identifying the special needs group. Then in the next chapter the researcher analyzed the current reality in Saudi society and diagnose it. The negative effects of not integrating special needs students in schools, and concluding with the most important recommendations and mechanisms to remedy these problems, and design a plan of action to implement the study and set a timetable for it. Results: Children with special needs face several problems, including psychological, educational or social, and the integration of this group into society in general and in schools is a complex issue. Integration is defined as providing opportunities for children with disabilities to become involved in the special education system as a means of emphasizing the principle of equality Opportunities in education and aims to integrate in general to meet the special educational needs of children with disabilities within the framework of the regular school and according to the methods and methods and methods of educational studies and supervised by the provision of a specialized educational system in addition to the cadres of education in the public school and many studies pointed to the impact Consolidation and support, including those rejected as a result of several positive and negative trends.

The purpose of this research was to analyze ten covers of 2019 best-seller fantasy novels through multimodal. The research method used was qualitative research. The objects in this research were ten book covers of 2019 best-seller fantasy novels. The instruments used were documentation that aimed at obtaining data, including relevant books, study, activity reporting, relevant research data. Content analysis was used to obtain the data. This study used five phased cycles in analyzing the data; compiling, disassembling, reassembling, interpreting, and concluding. The result of analyzing the novels is emphasized in two focuses, including representation and interactive function. Several novels have a narrative aspect, while others contain conceptual interpretation, which is part of a representative function. It was very challenging to interpret some implicit meaning of the symbols in some of the novels as it requires mythical knowledge. Therefore, it is expected that understanding the implicit meaning comprehensively will make readers easier to understand the story outline of the novel.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini berujudul Hegemoni Kekuasaan Dalam Novel Hujan Karya Tere Liye dan Relevansinya Dalam Pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMA. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mndeskripsikan formasi ideologi, bentuk hegemoni kekuasaan, dan relevansi penelitian dengan pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMA. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah novel Hujan karya Tere Liye. Data penelitian berupa kata, frasa, atau kalimat yang memuat formasi ideologi dan bentuk hegemoni dalam novel Hujan karya Tere Liye, serta relevansinya dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMA. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan baca dan catat. Teknik analisis data menggunakan content analysis. Validitas dan reliabilitas menggunakan validitas semantik dan intrarater. Hasil penelitian ini antara lain: 1) Pertama, Formasi ideologi dalam novel Hujan karya Tere Liye. Formasi ideologi yang ditemukan dalam novel Hujan karya Tere Liye yaitu otoritarisme, feodalisme, kapitalisme, liberalisme, sosialisme, serta vandalisme. Otoritarisme merupakan formasi ideologi yang paling banyak muncul dalam novel. 2) Kedua, bentuk hegemoni kekuasaan terjadi dalam masyarakat sipil dan masyarakat politik. 3) Ketiga, Relevansi penelitian dengan pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMA. Penelitian ini relevan dengan KD. 3.8 Mengidentifikasi nilai-nilai kehidupan yang terkandung dalam kumpulan cerpen yang dibaca. Melalui novel Hujan karya Tere Liye, siswa dapat mengapresiasi karya sastra sehingga menambah pengalaman, pengetahuan, dan wawasan yang dapat digunakan sebagai media untuk membentuk kepribadian diri. Kata kunci: formasi ideologi, hegemoni, relevansi pembelajaran, novel Abstract: This research entitle “The Hegemony of Power in Novel Hujan by Tere Liye and Its Relevance in Indonesia learning at High School” has aims to describe the ideology formation, term of hegemony power, and the research relevance with Indonesia learning at high school. This research is a qualitative descriptive with data source is Npvel Hujan by Tere Liye. Research data are words, phrases pr sentences which has ideology formation and hegemony term and also the relevance with Indonesia learning at high school. Read and write were used to collect the data. Content analysis was used to analyze the data. Semantics and intrarater were used to test the validity and reliability. The reserach findings were : 1) the ideology formations were authoritarian, feudalism, capitalism, liberalism, socialism, and vandalism. Authoritarian was dominant in the novel, 2) the term of hegemony happened both in civil society and political society, 3) the relevance of this research with Indonesia learning at high school. This research was relevant with basic competence 3.8 (identify the life values in a short story. Novel hujan brught student to appreciate the literatures to enrich their experience, knowledge and insight to create the personality.  Keywords : Ideology formation, hegemony, learning relevance, novel.

A systematic review of articles using qualitative methods to generate questionnaire items identified in MEDLINE and PsycINFO from 2000 to 2014 was carried out. Articles were analyzed for (a) year of publication and journal domain, (b) qualitative data collection methods, (c) method of data content analysis, (d) professional experts’ input in item generation, and (e) debriefing of the newly developed items. In total, 371 articles were included and results showed (a) an acceleration of published articles, (b) individual interviews and focus groups were common ways of generating items and no emergent approach was identified, (c) the content analysis was usually not described (43% of articles), (d) experts were involved in eliciting concepts in less than a third of articles, (e) 61% of articles involved a step of further submission of newly developed items to the population of interest. This review showed an insufficient reporting of qualitative methods used to generate new questionnaires despite previous recommendations.

Although school violence statistics indicate that schools are safe places, anxiety over school shootings continues to influence school safety reform to the extent that security measures in American public schools include the arming of schoolteachers. Furthermore, not only have youths’ perceptions of school security been relatively unexplored, existing research points to racial inequalities in the use of and the effects of school security practices. This study uses data from high school students across multiple school districts in a Midwestern county to examine how race and perceptions of fairness intersect to influence attitudes on arming teachers. The results suggest that, relative to White students, Black students are less supportive of arming teachers and anticipate greater decreases in safety if teachers are armed. In addition, perceptions of fairness mediate the effect of race on support and feelings of safety. Implications for policy and future research are discussed.
