Consideration of professional safety as a functional component of professional activity includes analysis of categorical methodological grounding of this concept in psychological work in the context of ergonomic provision of effective professional activity by a complex of external worker’s and individual worker’s protection, where special attention is paid to dangerous professions. First of all, took into account the need of accidents causes at work; determining the optimal workload in professional activities; identification of human reserve capabilities and ergonomic optimization of interaction processes with the production environment. The general, differentiated indicators of susceptibility to danger are specified; the preconditions for the formation of psychological security are determined; the factors of erroneous actions’ occurrence at performance of professional activity are allocated; the psychological provision of labor safety through a system of organizational measures is outlined. Historical digression in the application of a systematic approach to the analysis of professional activity, as well as general psychological provisions of the concept of systemogenesis of professional activity, the concept of structural and functional organization of self-regulation, the concept of maladaptive activity (risk readiness) and the concept of product ergonomics, personality in assessing the quality of human life. Elaboration on the definition of the work psychological signs and its gradations and development of receptions of professional self-preservation of the person is presented.

Pumpkin is a local food of Jember which the amount of harvested area and productivity is increasing every year. Pumpkin is a source of beta carotene with a relatively lower price than other beta carotene sources. Diversification of pumpkin-based food products will produce nutritionally rich products with added value. Brownies are one of the bakery products that can be processed with 100% pumpkin flour as raw material, increasing the added value can be done by diversifying it into semi-finished products with pumpkin steamed brownie premix flour. What needs to be evaluated in the diversification process is the change in the levels of carotene as its functional component. The research method used was descriptive evaluating changes in carotene in 6 treatments of pumpkin steamed brownies premix flour formulations. Based on the results of the study, the most abundant carotene was found in the 100% pumpkin flour formulation treatment, namely 77.99 mg/100g in premix flour and 5.05 mg/100g in steamed brownies. The higher the pumpkin content, the lower the degree of reduction in total carotene will be.

AbstractCongenital heart defects, one of the most common birth defects, affect approximately 1% of live birth globally and remain the leading cause of infant mortality in developed countries. Utilizing the pathogenicity score and inheritance mode from whole exome sequencing results, a heterozygous mutation (NM_001278939.1: c.1939G>T, p.Gly647Ter) in elastin (ELN) was identified among 6,440 variants in a female proband born with an atrial septal defect accompanied by pulmonary artery stenosis. Results of RT-PCR showed that the mutation (NM_001278939.1: c.1939G>T, p.Gly647Ter) did not affect the expression levels of ELN mRNA but increased protein level. The content of ELN truncate (functional component) was significantly lower in both the intracellular and extracellular compartments after mutation. These results indicate that the ELN mutation (NM_001278939.1: c.1939G>T, p.Gly647Ter) affected the protein truncate, which may be a functional component of ELN and play crucial roles for this pedigree. Here we report of an ELN heterozygous variant associated with congenital heart disease accompanied with pulmonary artery stenosis, which is less common. Based on our results, we speculate that this may be the main molecular mechanism underlying the mutation-led functional changes, and propose that the decrease of ELN protein level may cause this pedigree vascular abnormality, especially pulmonary artery stenosis, and reinforce the view that ELN insufficiency is the primary cause of these vascular lesions. This may be the main molecular mechanism underlying the mutation-led functional changes. Thus, systematic analysis not only enables us to better understand the etiology of this disease but also contributes to clinical and prenatal diagnosis.

This article examines the experience of legal regulation and the activities of ombudsman offices in the field of local government in the Anglo-Saxon states. The author notes that institutionally this mechanism depends on the form of state structure, functioning either at the national or regional level, although recently the offices of the municipal ombudsman, have also been appearing. The request for the development of the ombudsman's control over municipal institutions is determined, inter alia, by the peculiarities of the corporate model of local government, which increases the opacity of the activities of municipal bodies. The author singles out a number of specific features of the Anglo-Saxon experience in the area under consideration, concerning primarily the functional component of the ombudsman's status, which are of interest for further study and possible reception.

The article highlights the problem of gender peculiarities of translational-informational functional component of Ukrainian civil servants’ professional communication culture. On analyzing the results of empirical research, it can be concluded that civil servants’ professional communication culture has significant gender differences in some indicators. Among male civil servants, the most common is the average level of psychological literacy in professional communication and the identical level of psychological competence in professional communication. The majority of female civil servants have a high level of psychological literacy as well as psychological competence in professional communication. Only female civil servants’ orientation in professional communication correlates with the acmeological invariants of the personality’s professionalism in business communication.

Abstract Neonatal sepsis (NS) is a severe syndrome in newborns induced by infections, the initiation and development of which are closely related to the function of miRs. In the current study, the anti-NS effects of berberine, a functional component in Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), were assessed by focusing on its interaction with miR-132-3p-mediated signaling. NS model was induced using cecal slurry (CS) and handled with berberine. The changes in survival rate, intestinal structure, systemic inflammation, miR-132-3p level, and activities of FOXA1 and NF-κB pathways were detected. The data showed that berberine increased survival rate of NS mice. The intestinal injures induced by CS were also attenuated by berberine, which was associated with the inhibited production of systemic IL-6, IL-1β, and TNF-α. At molecular level, the expression of miR-132-3p was up-regulated, suppressing the expressions of FOXA1, p-IκBα, and p65, while inducing the expression of IκBα. The effects of berberine on NS-induced impairments were blocked by the injection of miR-132-3p antagomir, which reduced survival rate, exacerbated intestinal injuries, induced systemic inflammation, and re-activated FOXA1 and NF-κB pathways. Collectively, the findings outlined in the current study indicated that berberine had solid protective effects on newborn mice against NS-induced symptoms, and the effects depended on the up-regulation of miR-132-3p.

Wheat bran is generally considered a byproduct of the flour milling industry, but it is a great source of fibers, minerals, and antioxidants that are important for human health. This study examined values of functional component for product from two bioprocessing (germination and fermentation) for wheat Giza171 variety. Also, it was examined for puff pastry (the pate) product, evaluated functional component (phenolic compound and antioxidant activity), sensory attribute, texture parameter, and mineral content. The results showed that total phenolic compound (TPC) and antioxidant activity (%RSA) values were highest in fermentation bran cell (with 2% yeast) (3115, 45.69), respectively. The volume increased with increasing percentage germination, while specific volume recorded the highest value for control (4.24). Sensory attributes of pate had the highest value from germination whole meal flour. Hardness decreased in all puff pastry from treatment compared with the control pate, where, puff pastry made from 50% germination whole meal flour in storage period. Phenolic compounds and antioxidant activity for the product during storage period had the highest values for pate made from fermentation bran with 2% yeast during storage periods (TPC= 1960 and 1432.5; %RSA= 49.61 and 43.31, respectively). Also, mineral content increased for all treatments compared with the control. Functional whole wheat products with enhanced health-promoting value and safety without renouncing the good-tasting standards whereas required for consumers. In this concept, functional whole wheat was demonstrated for two bioprocessing: improve eating quality, nutrition and shelf life for pate product.
