Domestic violence is a phenomenon that can take the form of a socially dangerous act and be qualified as a crime under Art. 126-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and other articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. It is the correctness of the criminal legal qualification of domestic violence that became the subject of our study.              The lack of systematic interpretation of Art. 126-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine leads in practice to the fact that the courts decide completely differently on the qualification of actions of a person. After all, domestic violence can be a manifestation of both an administrative offense and a criminally punishable act. That makes it impossible to further apply the restrictive measures of a criminal legal nature, enshrined in Art. 91-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Such situation has already become the basis for resolution in the order of review by higher courts and formation of a position on the most problematic aspects by the Supreme Court of Ukraine. In particular, in order to avoid the prohibited double conviction or punishment, the proceedings must be combined on a comprehensive basis and form a single whole. This means not only that the goal and the means used to achieve it must complement each other in nature and be linked in time, but also that the possible consequences of such legal response to appropriate behavior must be proportionate and predictable. for the persons to whom they relate.             Thus, the purpose of our study is to form a list of issues for the correct criminal legal qualification of actions under Art. 126-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, for the correct separation from the administrative offense under Art. 173-2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, as well as from other criminal offenses related to domestic violence. The task is to study the conclusions of the Supreme Court of Ukraine, to analyse the case law, to analyse the research conducted by non-governmental international organizations, as well as to analyse the positions of the doctrine of criminal and criminal procedure law on this issue.

For animals to survive until reproduction, it is crucial that juveniles successfully detect potential predators and respond with appropriate behavior. The recognition of cues originating from predators can be innate or learned. Cues of various modalities might be used alone or in multi-modal combinations to detect and distinguish predators but studies investigating multi-modal integration in predator avoidance are scarce. Here, we used wild, naive tadpoles of the Neotropical Poison Frog Allobates femoralis (Boulenger, 1884) to test their reaction to cues with two modalities from two different sympatrically occurring potential predators: heterospecific predatory Dendrobates tinctorius tadpoles and dragonfly larvae. We presented A. femoralis tadpoles with olfactory or visual cues, or a combination of both and compared their reaction to a water-control in a between-individual design. In our trials, A. femoralis tadpoles reacted to multimodal stimuli (a combination of visual and chemical information) originating from dragonfly larvae with avoidance but showed no reaction to uni-modal cues or cues from heterospecific tadpoles. In addition, visual cues from conspecifics increased swimming activity while cues from predators had no effect on tadpole activity. Our results show that A. femoralis tadpoles can innately recognize some predators and likely need both visual and chemical information to effectively avoid them. This is the first study looking at anti-predator behavior in Poison Frog tadpoles. We discuss how parental care might influence the expression of predator avoidance responses in tadpoles.

This work provides a narrative review of the available information on the welfare of Italian heavy pigs in the pre-slaughter phase (transport, lairage, and stunning). The meat from these pigs is used for specific PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) products, and the production rules for these specialties require higher body weight (160–170 kg) and age (in general more than 9 months) at slaughter than in most other countries. This may lead to specific behavioral and physiological needs of pigs. The present paper summarizes the main research findings and knowledge gaps for each of the pre-slaughter phases. Studies are presented according to the four principles of the Welfare Quality assessment protocol (good feeding, good housing, good health, and appropriate behavior). The results of the literature review indicate a lack of knowledge on several aspects. Most of studies were carried out in a single slaughterhouse, making it difficult to identify risk factors and confounding effects. Moreover, animal-based measures were assessed using different protocols, reducing the possibility of comparison across studies. These findings may serve as a basis for the development of specific research studies and policies aimed at enhancing the animal welfare level and the ethical attributes of this renowned production, also in accordance with consumers’ expectations.

This study prepares children to deal with COVID-19 and its frequent waves. Coronavirus infection cannot be prevented by pills or medications. Vaccines can prevent most infections. An increase in immunity is necessary to protect against COVID-19. CoViD-19 is better protected by a good immune system and a healthy diet. You can consume a variety of vitamins and foods to improve your health and immunity. The diet and hygiene of the body can help you prevent infections or diseases. These children are prepared or taught the consequences of their actions. COVID-19 most often affects children asymptomatically-meaning they show no symptoms of it. Children need to have periodic discussions about Appropriate Behavior in COVID-19.

Abstract Blastholes drilling performance is crucial for ensuring good performance of the whole excavation process, the correctness of which demands ‘healthy’ drill bit and appropriate behavior of an operator. Given the large volume of non-linear parameters describing the process, it appears reasonable to employ supervised learning methods to obtain drilling performance insights. Random Forest Regressor model has been trained on the dataset corresponding to correct performance of blastholes drilling and its hyperparameters have been tuned to obtain the highest possible accuracy. It has been later tested on three datasets corresponding to a good performance of drilling, and two cases of its non-optimal execution. Estimation errors are proposed to be used as bit technical state condition indicators (or more generally - process performance indicators). Root Mean Squared Error has been proven to differ significantly when compared estimation based on datasets corresponding to execution of drilling with ‘healthy’ drill bit, and its execution with worn-off one, however, it has been not sufficient to distinguish non-optimal drilling when additional feed pressure has been exerted by an operator to compensate the reduced pace of drilling. It has been, however, possible when the mean of absolute estimation errors has been used.

Background: COVID-19 vaccinations were started in India among health care workers in January, 2021. These vaccinations provide protective immunity against the infection but may not completely exclude the possibility of contracting the infection. The objective was to assess the risk of contracting COVID-19 disease following vaccination; to describe the adherence to COVID appropriate behavior by vaccinated individuals. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted using an online questionnaire. The subjects selected were health care workers, medical students and other frontline workers. The sample size was 393. The risk of COVID-19 following vaccination was assessed against various factors like age, type of vaccination, status of vaccination, pre-existing comorbidities etc. Results: Out of the 393 vaccinated subjects, 57 (14.5%) acquired COVID-19 breakthrough infection. Majority of these individuals (75.4%) experienced mild symptoms. All vaccinated individuals were protected from severe COVID-19 disease. Most vaccinated individuals continued to strictly adhere to COVID appropriate behavior i.e., masks (97.0% and 98.0%), sanitized hands (93.0% and 98.0%) and maintain social distanced (91.6% and 86%) in both fully and partially vaccinated groups following vaccination. Conclusions: One tenth of the subjects were infected with COVID-19 following vaccination. Most experienced mild symptoms and risk of severe disease was significantly reduced.  There was no significant association between the type of vaccine administered and risk of infection.

Early efforts to vaccinate the Indian population were started on 16th January 2021. With this, a ray of hope came as people again starting their livelihoods, roads looked busy again, playgrounds were again full of children. Everything seems back to normal, while the Government was allowing all other activities with the option to follow the COVID appropriate behavior (CAB) keeping a blind eye to whether or not someone follows it. The immediate consequence of this laxity was that people were not following the CAB in particular, and by the end of January 2021, the situation was back to normal, as if there were no pandemics anywhere. While the rate of vaccination was slowly taking pace, the majority population believed that the vaccination may be necessary later, leading to the vaccine hesitancy. The second wave which started in the last quarter of March 2021 and spreader much faster than the first wave, is believed to be fueled by the additional strains of the coronavirus, as stated by many health experts. New coronavirus strains are thought to be more infectious home ground variants found in 61% of samples of genomes sequenced in many states in India. Even such news was reported by media rapidly, the laxity in the CAB and preventive measures, coupled with the presence of new variants, has resulted in a nationwide crisis. What caught the attention of the globe was despite the ongoing pandemic, the Indian Government allowed State assembly elections in the Eastern part of the country, which could have been delayed at this point. The prime Minster led Government faced this Critic from the opposition while the “Maha Kumbh Mela” organized at Haridwar attended by lacs of devotees who believed to bathe in a ritual river to pure themselves for their mistakes of past was also allowed by the Government. It was reported by media that about 7 million devotees attended the event and 1700 tested positive for covid-19 over 5 days period because no such social distancing measures or masks were used during the Maha Kumbh Mela by the attendees. Most of the public health agencies tried their best to dispel the myths and supported the campaigns associated with covid-19 vaccines but turned a blind eye and acted as a muted spectator for the election rallies and Maha Kumbh Mela. Following COB during election rallies and Maha Kumbh Mela will never go easy hand in hand, so the best is to follow the no man’s rule. What we believe the public health professionals of the country followed in deep agony and pressure. As India is engulfed in the second wave of covid-19, the current situation is deteriorated by the presence of counterfeit drugs, lack of human resources, medical supplies, and equipment. There are unique scientific, technical, and logistic challenges which we face in covid-19, we need to take definite steps for fights against this pandemic.

Soft skills are the personal characteristics of an individual that enhance his/her interactions, career prospects, and job performance. Soft skills include social skills which incorporate characteristics like empathy, self-control, socialization, and friendliness. The development of soft skills at an early age is vital. Currently, there are few serious games for social skills training aimed at primary school pupils. A serious game does not only provide fun but a player can discover knowledge about himself. This paper presents a serious game named “A Day at School” that helps primary school pupils to develop social skills through an educational scenario. In this scenario, the hero of the game faces various situations during a usual day at school. The scenario deals with the situations of bullying, racism, and social awareness of children. By using the educational application, pupils discover appropriate behavior and get the first stimulus for acquiring their social skills. The serious game helps them to socialize and gain the basis to cultivate empathy, friendliness, and self-control. Primary school pupils and teachers evaluated the serious game. The results showed that teachers found that the game is suitable for teaching purposes and its graphical user interface (GUI) is appealing.

The article considers the basic principles and methods of psychological support for the development of junior schoolchildren in the process of educating his ecological culture. The concept of ecological consciousness and ecological activity is revealed. The values of the development of eco- psychological culture of junior schoolchild are described. It is noted that one of the priority tasks of psychological support at the stage of development of eco- psychological culture of a schoolchild is process of identifying the values and ideas about nature and the environment and appropriate behavior and interaction with nature. It is the value system that determines the type of human relationship with nature. Theoretical aspects of the basic and specific methods of realization of psychological support of development of eco- psychological culture of a schoolchild are considered. Their content, meaning, types and forms of application are substantiated. It is established that to develop the effectiveness of the correct attitude of schoolchild to the environment, they should use various forms and methods of environmental education in class and extracurricular time, in classroom and extracurricular activities. It is in the period of primary school age that schoolchildren begin to quickly form their own conative or behavioral component of environmental consciousness. That is, there is a desire to grow crops, take care of pets, create comfort and coziness in everyday life. It is established that during the psychological support it is necessary to form the ecological responsibility of the junior schoolchild not only in the learning process, but also in the game and knowledge of the environment. This is a kind of psychological and pedagogical process aimed at forming a schoolchild’s knowledge of the basics of nature, gaining the necessary beliefs and practical skills, a certain orientation and active life position in the field of protection, conservation and increase of natural resources.
